So long story short - i've put everything back, meaning, ML 410mm crazy jet, decepticon + omega nub, G&P reinforced nozzle set, dynamic precision enchanced sealing buffer, AG 170% nozzle return spring, G&P Nozzle NPAS 5.0... AND unscrewed buffer tube by one full cycle back... AND bolt lock works now, though not everytime on one of the mags, but it works pretty damn well, i dont want to give another turn because of what WildWeasel told me, so I will just wait out for HSB to arrive to me and then will try to give it another full rotation backwards and see the results But for now i am really happy with it, i've put my NPAS to shoot on 394FPS, and it holds it really REALLY god damn well, its WAY better than AG V2 NPAS (no surprise here, huh). I also got the G&P adjustable piston valve if for some reason G&P 5.0 NPAS will start failing me Thank you for your help guys, I really appreciate it and cant wait to field my gun to see the differences of the innerbarrel and bucking upgrade Have a nice one3 points -

Well, an update! After deciding to bombard UPS on Facebook everyday, I've got nowhere....😂 But it's made me feel better!! Having not had a message back from Sammy after 13 hours I pestered them again and "Melanie" told me to contact TG for an update, I asked if they had actually sent TG an update or are you just wasting my time? Low and behold, I checked my emails and TG had said that after 2 months they would start the refund process. Apparently a "specialist team" will contact me from UPS to refund my fee's, or atleast discuss the options. All in all a quite sour experience! But oh well, you live and learn. I'll update again once I have some pennies back!2 points

A simple change to be sure, but a welcome one. After owning this beautiful STAR L86 for approaching 7 years now I finally got around to getting the correct scope for her. Sometimes all it takes is a simple SUSAT to really complete a gun. Granted, she’s about to get a complete internal overhaul but externally she’s finished. For now...1 point -

TadsJ2 10p is similar diameter as a quarter dollar (I have both in my buffer tube) Once again kudos to fire support for helping me out as the John Wick fde bolt carrier from angry gun does not accept the standard size sealing buffer without binding in the bore (dp enhanced or Marui), additionally the gas key nozzle guide will pull straight off the slightly smaller screws on the top of the carrier. So in order to use this effectively with whatever nozzle you decide to use you will require the sealing buffer and the plastic guide gas key from angry gun to make it work effectively in my opinion. So hats off to fire support for helping me sort these items in time for my next game cheers lads. Aftermarket parts are turning into absolute nightmare for me, I wish to God I could just buy a standard bare Marui bolt from somewhere.1 point -

I promised an update about the site, so here's something that I'm currently working on in my spare time. A highly requested feature: to browse sites using a map. Well, it's coming! Right now it's early days, but as you can see there's already a few sites on here. Both, the map and the list will be in sync, so what you'll see on the map will show on the list.1 point -
I got hold of a couple of bottles of ASG 0.36 Devil Blasters and ran them the other week as DMR... Got through x2 tanks in a day..just goes to show how much I was enjoying the MTW. Think i'll drop the fps down so I can use full auto and use the rest of my 0.4/0.43's for DMR role when I want to mix it up some. Looks like I may have to tweak the Dwell as well...still getting the odd inconsistent fps reading.1 point

Guys, about to place a TG order. First one since Brexit. I know there are time issues, but can people please let us know what they are paying on VAT, Duty or UPS handling charges please. Really interested to know. Having had my eye on stuff on the TG site pre Xmas, it looks like prices are Exc UK VAT, so I can swallow that np. Wary of of duty and charges from UPS- its still seems like the wild west out there. Last month I ordered some Atacs IX kit from USA. I was expecting VAT and duty on both, but both got through with no extra charges- just the price I paid in US$ on the website and the postage. So its not really clear what customs are looking at Any comments appreciated.1 point -
On a standard gun the HSB drops in with no adjustment. If you run much higher power and/or a lightweight bolt you may also need to unscrew 1 turn.1 point
-
My HSB is in my country but it is stuck in sorting centre for 5 days already... called them, they said they will look into it, so fingers crossed i will get my HSB by the end of this week. Thanks Dave, will try to do this one turn at a time and hopefully one will be enough But as I understood, if I will put the HSB in I might have to unscrew buffer tube a little bit again ?1 point
-
@TadsJ2 your bolt speed is too fast, so the mag empty catch cannot catch in time. Yes the HSB will help this situation. Yes unscrew the buffer tube 1 turn at a time and re test.1 point

Good man @C-Diddy for reading all 200 pages. Your journey is now complete. Well almost....Now just get that damn MWS laddie and start having some fun. And for you’re preferred choice of BBs. Drum roll.... Don’t use Nuprol RZR bbs else the next 200 pages will be even more entertaining lol On reflection maybe I should start showing Nuprol some love? Give them a second chance? Hmmmmm? Actually sod that thought!!! 😂 . Guess which brand this rail is which Luke is referring too 😂😂😂😂1 point

TadsJ2 reacted to Wild Weasel for a topic
If... you wind the tube out a couple of turns to give the bolt more time to catch you must add 10p's to the bottom of the buffer tube to pack it out or the bolt will over-travel and the screws on the top of the bolt will catch the top of your lower and destroy it making for a v costly mistake. Alternatively, buy a guns modify or similar lightweight bolt catch as it moves up faster after first checking it can move freely as I had a build up of dry chain lube making it move sluggish - the hook part should almost rattle up when you hit the bolt release catch.1 point -
Might do, the bolt might be moving too fast for the catch to stop it, backing the buffer out 1 turn might be enough to do it. TBH you have tried everything else!1 point

Well, many days after starting, I've finally finished all 200 pages. Apart from figuring out that I really need to do more with my spare time, here are my main take homes from the thread: The MWS in all its iterations is, as Snoop may say, the shiznit The MK18 version looks ace but the design is mental The third party support for the platform is huge @AlphaBearhates Nuprol The one constant upgrade that almost everyone agrees on as being performance enhancing and therefore an essential purchase, is the SixG brass nub Whenever retailers get any MWS's or TM original parts in stock (especially mags), they disappear rapidly, so act fast Angry Gun are shit, but they're not, sort of HAO Industries kits are incredible looking (416 and L119A2 🤤) but are jaw-droppingly expensive @AlphaBearreally hates Nuprol Fire Support provide excellent service to the needy and cash-rich MWS brethren Depending on barrel length, ammo weight, nub type, gas type, ambient conditions, lunar alignment and inside leg measurement, FPS ranges from 200 - 1,400 fps The green gas mag mod is not necessarily necessary @AlphaBearfrigging hates Nuprol Become familiar with Impulse101 and other Japanese sites and order well in advance of needing spare TM parts Nozzles, nozzle springs, TM hop rubbers and a decent armourer's wrench should be in everyone's tool/spares box This thread is an absolute goldmine of people willing to share information, admire other people's builds and welcoming other people in joining the growing number of MWS owners @AlphaBearabsolutely, positively hates Nuprol Thanks everyone. Looking forward to receiving the stock alert email telling me it's time to sell a kidney (or kid) as my MWS journey is about to begin.1 point

Thanks, I made a few changes to it, and the side-light (forgot what they're called) is mostly just for aesthetics, I'll almost never use it.1 point

I've personally had best success with Tippmann tracers. By success I mean they light up the brightest with my Lighter S. I used ASG Blaster tracers when I didn't have Tippmann BBs on hand and the difference in brightness is very noticable. I've never had a jam or bb-explosion with Tippmann bbs either!1 point
-
It's always good to see this BB debate bubbling along... there really isn't a right or wrong answer when it comes to BB's other than DONT USE NUPROLS in a MWS!!! Like anything with an MWS, no two will probably function the same but will do within tolerances. The science and engineering behind the MWS is such that different people will have varying results. This is so true in the case of BB's. What works well for one person may not necessarily work as good for another. I believe It's trial and error to some degree, not I deal I know but that's the platform we are working with.1 point

Well hello there! Had a good MTW tuning session in my mates garden. It was really handy to have two MTW's at hand to compare side by side. I was having inconsistency issues (FPS wise) despite it running perfectly at Anzio. This was cured by upping the dwell slightly. I'm now easily hitting a tree trunk at just over 60m with 0.32's (had a range finder at hand) to confirm this!! Adjusting the dwell on my mates sorted out his issues with the odd flyer and was sending 0.36 lasers at the same very tree trunk. Looks like I'll be sharing my knowledge with my mate Dayne as he's just purchased an MTW from @alxndrhll. So that'll be 3 of us at Anzio at the end of the month with MTW's.1 point
-
It may well be the bucking needs to bed in a bit before it'll 'play nice' with .32s. Might worth intermitently dipping back to .32s every thousand rounds or so to see... though the more expedient way (if .32s are what you want to use) would be to play around with different nubs/remove some material from the nub currently being used in Monkman's case. I'd never had any issues with .32s with mine, but admittedly my G&G green is anything but fresh out of the packet, I dread to think how many rounds that thing has seen. G&G may have also changed the design/material slightly since I picked mine up, but I feel like that'd be something plenty of folks would pick up on had that been the case given how many folks use them in a veriety of RIFs. Nevertheless, good to hear that shots aren't hooking anymore.1 point
-
@Monkman I took my MTW to Anzio camp yesterday and had exactly the same issue. I was easily over hopping 0.32's. I totally forgot I had a bag of 0.36's in my kit bag but ah well, never mind. I'm booking Anzio again for next month so will try the 0.36's then and report back! The swerving issue I had last time has now gone away. It may have just needed a rebuild but it got the new barrel, 1.0 arm and bucking instead. Wearing my KMCS with the MTW was brilliant once I got outside in the greener areas. Shot / had pinned down a decent amount of players by myself without them having a clue where I was.1 point

Urban Assault was my first site, i went loads of times. Great site, terrible marshalling and SUPER cliquey/boys club shit but the building to building firefights made up for all of it. Second place goes to the mall, terrible for airsoft in reality but it was so different and the people running it really put the effort in with the different game modes, always appreciated a silly one after a day of serious games (supermarket sweep!). Now it's just woodland, can't find an indoor site anyway. im bored of the woods1 point
