  1. Oh I see! Yeah I did have a look at their Facebook page and it seems they/he is making some kind of epi pen grenade, from my thinking it's just far to complicated to set off It needs to be simple, push a button and throw the thing, from the video I saw you had to do about 4 or 5 steps before the thing even gets set off And because now I'm unfortunately down to just one 3D printer in my workshop I won't be making these at a really big production but I do feel it might be a good idea to give away the design for anyone to print themselves and draw up a wiring diagram and how to so you can make it yourself The shell itself takes 18 hours to print and assembly of the internals (if you're handy with a soldering iron) takes about 30 minutes Cost wise, it's whatever your 3d printer costs to run for 18 hours which according to my smart meter was about £6 The board costs £10 The buttons cost £8.99 for a pack of 8 The speaker was from a £5.99 bluetooth speaker I got off amazon and ripped out It takes an 18650 battery and I used an 18650 battery holder inside You'd need some wire, a soldering iron and a spare SD card I don't have time to sit here and make X amount of these I'm just a one man band but I'm happy to give my creation away to the community

  2. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/19722-rare-we-colt-m4-co2-rifle £1230 for a WE CQBR with mags and a few accessories. That’s massively over priced I hear you say. Ah, but hold on. He’s ex-infantry who wants something more than just a normal airsoft gun. So this is a rare WE Colt M4 (yeah, there’s no Colt trademarked receiver, so it’s just a bog standard WE CQBR with a couple of internal upgrades), which is a fully upgraded milsim rifle. Now you see where the value lies 😉. Honestly mate, you’ll be lucky to get half that price 🤔

  15. Actually use a gun before spending the same amount on "upgrades". Often you'll get bugger all improvements. Decent fieldcraft will beat Gucci kit. If you're going to send your gun away to a tech then do your research first. To many people call themselves a tech but don't know what they're doing. Play your way. Just because someone else wants to play a certain way doesn't mean you have to.

  17. HPA is not magic pixie dust. It does not immediately make your gun the bestestest around. GBB is fun and not as much of a pain in the arse as people make it out to be (if you do your research and buy the right thing - which hopefully you'd be doing anyways!) And as a "wish other people knew/did this", if you're going to tinker with your gun buy a bloody chrono 😄

  18. Don't waste money on cheap snipers, anyway. Upgrades are often side-grades. Heavier BBs are the cheapest real upgrade. Most successful YouTubers are presenting a fictional narrative, not a documentary. The rules are more what you'd call guidelines. Play the way you'd like others to play, even and especially if your standards exceed those of the site's marshals and their mates. And meme magic is more real than Toyko Marui magic.

NO TRADES OR SWAPS Selling up some gear, this is the first to go. Full details below. Gun has krylon on it but can be removed. Has been intentionally weathered to give it a used look. Been skirmished maybe 5-6 times total. An amazing gun and no expense spared. Only what was needed to be changed internally to make it better has been done. Has a good kick and you can run it on propane no problem and Mapp gas under 10 degrees. This thing is an absolute beauty and pictures don't do it enough justice. Rifle with no mag (everything else included) - £1100 2 x stock MWS mags with genuine magpuls, no leaks - £40 each Collection only (From Portsmouth area) for the rifle, its too big and the cost for insured postage will be silly, not to mention shipping gas is fun.. 24. You’ve done the donkey work. Initially ‘just’ a reusable grenade - something you can throw with a timer and detonation Your latest shows something that can be used as a grenade, or apparently with other modes such as the ‘activated’ device and countdown. In itself a game format could be written around that - find a device, take it to a location and activate it If you have a deactivate button then the defenders could save themselves (and perhaps then Or expand on the device. Instead of just running a game that uses the device, programme a few game types into the device: A maximum game time - start the clock at game on Two modes on what happens if it is ‘defused’ - either the game ends and the defenders have won, or it can be rearmed and you have a game running back and forth until there is a successful detonation or game time runs out Once you’ve started it’s more constrained by imagination than anything else It does spiral though. The attached photo is one stage of a test bed / prototyping device. We have run a few events with devices that one of our guys makes, I bought an old ‘commercial’ site prop at an auction which needed some fixing, and it became a lockdown project to get it back running, identify its modes and then also produce new ideas of a combination of different game formats and the devices to run them I’m not showing the rest, but the underlying software can go into a cased device or another ‘object’ such as your grenade/device The screen & keypad aren’t required, just some form of input/output which can be keys, buttons, screens, audio, beeps, lights …. And other things Post COVID I have a host body built for a new device which just needs spare time to make particular holes and assemble the components

  27. With time, effort and money you can tweak / get a standard 1.14 Joule AEG to shoot quite far if using a decent BB weight like 0.32g, certainly to the point where you can stand 10 meters further away than other players on your teams and shoot the exact opposition that they're engaging and know that most of the opposition players BB's will fall short and not get you. If you go on YouTube "Negative Airsoft" is spot on when he says in one video from 2023 that you can build an all purpose battle rifle that can be used for CQB and then the next moment be used as a half way house to a DMR when outside (it's what my M904E is now). I do enjoy having my DMR though, especially as I'm 50 / not that fit, and I'll play the morning with it then swap to my M904E after lunch. The major downside of running a DMR though is that you MUST have a sidearm as you'll only be able to shoot at people if they're over a certain distance away from you (MED, aka "Minimum Engagement Distance"). So, once say an enemy gets closer than 15 meters to you you'll need to use your sidearm / pistol to shoot them as getting hit close range with a heavy BB bloody hurts and will draw blood even through clothing. My sidearm is a mildly upgraded AAP-01. Others have recommended parts from AK2M4, and this parts supplier is damned good and is happy to answer questions, so if as your post all you want is to shoot at around 400 FPS on 0.20g BB's with your M908A then I've a feeling that a GearParts / XT M120 spring will be the safest option for you (possibly an M130, but if one day you're building a DMR I'd buy both anyhow as they're so cheap). This will give you the raw power, but your air volume etc. will not be high enough, so don't expect to become a lethal killer on the field Also the inner barrel you have is good enough, you don't really need to replace it, but I did with mine as I took it to the next level and wanted a Maple Leaf inner barrel to get a 100% perfect fit with the ML MR bucking (which with the right nub is a simple to install R-Hop).

Also, be aware that if you see this WE M14 EBR for sale anywhere using this photo, it’s also one of my pictures of a gun I sold a while ago. I know of one person so far that’s had this offered to them for around £200 using this photo. £200 is very cheap for a standard WE M14, let alone a fully trademarked EBR with accessories. So it suggests it’s a scam as opposed to the current owner wanting to sell.

  33. Use what works where and how you play. My battle belt/webbing rig is a horrible mixed camo mutoid thing that works very well thanks. It cost less than £20 and serves well for skirmishes and post apocalyptic games. The solid no frills CYMAs and G&Gs do the same. Keep it functional and simple is the essential thing.

  35. Hey! xD (I do agree on this for most people though) My answer isn't helpful because I started a long time ago and haven't actually changed much. For me it's mostly just knowledge on manufacturers that would stop being available, like Tanaka Works and Western Arms. I wish I could've bought some of their stuff while it was still sold outside of Japan... I think for actual useful stuff it'd be that modern kit =/= good kit. My US Vietnam belt kit is amazing, but it's very much an old design; not a strip of molle in sight!

  36. I can personally recommend the Macaron 50 deg + Omega combo. The 50 is quite soft which means it can give more spin, but eventually it'll get chewed up and need replacing. A simple job. Hop rubbers are considered a 'consumable'. The 70 degree one in @Fatboy40's specification is a bit stiffer, and therefore more resilient when under the extra pressures his DMR will run at. Always a good idea to try here first... https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/hop-up-buckings-nubs because @ak2m4 is here on the forums and he's beyond helpful with any tech questions you might have I've got an ASG M105 spring in mine... different makes will give different results for the same rating so you might have to buy a couple before you hit the ideal power level. But hey they're cheap enough, and the quick change system makes them relatively painless to fit. If one is slightly too powerful and you can't be arsed to source a less powerful one, then you can always start cutting coils off the end (I've never had to as yet). Again, ak2m4 might be able to help with his experience. https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/springs ZCI barrels have a good rep, plenty here... https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/inner-barrels I've not got around to changing barrel on mine, I had a poor experience when I first 'upgraded' my TM AK47 with a tight bore, and then had no-end of jams with BBs failing to get through properly. I think that was more down to the poor state of the cheap ammo that I used back then, they're probably fine now... but my DE runs accurately with the stock barrel. One day I'll try a replacement - more accuracy is always welcomed! One more item to consider is the motor. The standard grey motor in the DE's is quite cheap and not the best. It can get a bit toasty under heavy load, so this https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/shs-high-torque-motor-16tpa-long is a recommended (but not essential!) upgrade... just a straight swap for the existing motor.

  41. Do wear what's cool... temperature-wise I get very sweaty running around in my kit (British Army MTP under-shirt + jacket, combat trousers, belt rig) so always take along a couple of undershirts to change into (one for lunchtime, one for end of the day) so I don't get too cold when I stop running around. That's even during the winter. (Maybe I need to invest in some high quality running or hiking undershirts) I tried a cheapo combat vest from eBay. Made me sweat horribly, so I remain wary of plate-carriers and other stuff that'll add to the heat and sweat retention around the torso.

  43. Just to echo what everyone else has said really. - My G&G cm16 raider out performed my LCT AK out the box. So price isn't everything. - play how you want to play, find what you like doing before buying all the gnus. - you don't need all the shiny 'operator' kit to start with. Unless you want to look like a member of 24 SAS 'the Autists'. - try different sites.

  44. This one I feel in my bones. Especially as weekenders are a thing I do.... There are a number of things that, as I looked around the hobby (after first rental) that I do know instead of getting deep in, so here is a short list. 1. Budget Airsofting is possible and enjoyable, patience is the key 2. Good boots are simply a must as part of the setup cost 3. Most people forget mags and batteries (and charger) when considering cost of starting 4. I hike so a back bladder was part of my start up costs - nothing ruins a last game as much as not being hydrated

  48. For me it would have been to stockpile RIF's from Taiwangun pre-BREXIT. Of course that doesn't apply to anyone coming in to the hobby now. I would advise to quickly get it into your head, that what @Rogerborg says about all AEG's essentially doing the same thing is true and if you play mostly woodland, you're not going to get that much use out of a pistol. So when you get your defence, start with a budget to mid-range AEG, replace the inner barrel and hop rubber (learn how to do this yourself!) Use that until you've been around a while and if at that point you're really craving the newest/best AEG that's fine, but keep your old one as a backup. For a sidearm, just get a mid-sized TM and don't pay it much mind after that. That being said, it's also fine to get something for "the collection" but do it with acceptance that it's a luxury, don't try to convince yourself that you "need" it.
