  1. Given the ending of my current work contract, and a possible period of being a bit skint, I thought I'd invest wisely, so to add to my 5000 0.20g for plinking and test-firing... 10KG of Warhead 0.28g Bio BBs, should see my running through a good few skirmishes (especially if I turn the fun switch to semi, a bit more often) £105 inc next day delivery. Just over a tenner for each bag of ~3,500 BBs seems like a good deal to me.

£130 isn't all that cheap though. Is it the split slide feature you're really keen on? For another £30-40 you could have your pick of TMs... Edit: Feck me, barge poles are pricey! You could buy a Vorsk for that much

I'll play devils advocate. Normally I would stay away from anything related to Nuprol (which Vorsk is) but I bought the Vorsk VP-X mainly for the looks and to plink a bit as it was on sale so very very cheap. Its certainly not the greatest pistol out there but it does shoot BBs and its cheap enough that if it does fail unrepairably then I'll be happy I got my moneys worth of fun out of it. So go for it. Take care of it an don't expect it to last forever. Definitely let us know how it goes so we can advise future buyers.

What he said. Most of our toys at that money have components and internals that are made out of “Chineseium alloys” - more affectionately known as Pot Metal. Vorsk aren’t known to have a long lifespan, and tbf, most sidearms are hardly used in a skirmish. If you hardly use it, it should last you a while😉 Lets hope that if you do purchase it (which it looks like you are intending to) you get a decent experience out of the box and it doesn’t shit itself before you get it out of backyard plinking and make it to the field 👍 But please let us know how you get on with it

I had the same sort of argument when I was choosing an Eotech clone. I was at first looking at the very cheapest used ones, £25. I persuaded myself to spend a bit more - £50 for a Sotac that had received some good reviews as 'good value' - so I'd "buy once", but even then I had people here (maybe it was even CannonFodder or Rogerborg) saying that's too cheap, go for the Holywarrior at £100+ I went for the Sotac at £50, and so far it's been absolutely fine. But I know I could stick it on my GBBR and it might be fine, or it might lose zero every few shots, or it might shake itself to pieces and turn into junk. I drew my financial line in the sand, and stuck to it - whilst acknowledging in the long term that it might end up being ... unwise. There's always a "risk versus reward" choice to be made - it's your choice, but Vorsk do not have a great rep, so it seems your're heading much towards "risk" rather than "reward"...

You asked us for opinions, but when given you're immediately actively trying to disregard them? You seem to already have your heart set on it, so why bother asking? Are you a shill for Vorsk? It doesn't ALL come down to "How you care for it" It actually mostly comes down to "How shoddily made it is".

Although you are entitled to your own opinion and I to have been guilty of being focussed on a certain product that I wanted and screw everyone else only to realise that everyone on here that said don’t’ was right. The thing to remember is that the guys on here know their stuff and have no reason to say something is crap when it is not. Chances are if they say it is crap then it will be. For that money I would go for an ASG CZ75 Shadow 1 for £130 https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/asg-cz-sp-01-shadow-co2-blowback-pistol It was the first pistol I bought, has run on CO2 all its life (3 years) and is still going strong still. All metal, solid, it has been dropped more times than I care to admit and all I have ever done to it was clean it.

  19. so some of you may know already but Double Eagle have released a more expensive AEG based on the success of the M9XX series but it's been updated with a new ETU and a complete metal build apart from the stock and a few other parts. It's based on the Aeroknox AX-15 platform (more here https://www.aeroknox.com/shop-2) I'll do a quick mini review: very solidly built and the Aeroknox parts make it look very Sci-fi. You are either going to love the look or hate it. In a sea of M4's it definately stands out from the other fish. The only plastic parts are the stock, trigger, pistol grip, rail panels and detachable sights and the stock is the same model used on the M9XX series. It has a slight wobble on the stock pipe but nothing to write home about. The sights are flip up style, similar to the MBUS Pro sights, but have an additional sight built in, similat to pistol sights, which means you can use them when folded down. (if you can read the tiny text on the sights they are called the DBS-1 Battle sight). The bolt locks back and you can adjust the rotary style hop when it's locked back. The charging handle is actually a normal M4 style one unlike the raptor style that comes with the majority of the M9XX series. The bolt release allows the fake bolt plate to shoot forward when pressed. The mag release is extended and works very well. Actually wish I had it on a few other rifles after using it. The fire selector is funky looking and the markings are very much Playstation markings. It works very well and has a solid click into each position. It comes with a 120 BB midcap PMag style magazine. It fits and works fine. I've chucked a few different mags at it and the only one that has issues is the KWA midcaps as they don't lock in. This might be because of the micro switch inside the magwell but I'm not sure. The micro switch is for mag detection and if you enable it the mag will stop firing after 30 BB's and you need to remove the mag and put it back in to allow the AEG to fire again. My only gripe with the whole thing (AEG, Kestral ETU and App) is this feature. I'd find it really useful if the 30 BB cut off could be adjusted for any number. I would work better for me if I could pick 115BB's as the cut off and never worry about running dry when using 120 round midcaps. Talking of the ETU, it connects without any issues and works very well. You can adjust the AEG to run just how you want it and you get loads of stats if that's you thing. The gearbox is the same as the other M9XX gearboxes so it's solid and well put together. The only difference being the Kestral ETU replacing the Falcon ETU. My opinion, for what it's worth, is it's priced to be a mid-range AEG because it is a mid-range AEG. Out the box it works very well but I'm sure there are some who will be thinking about swapping out the Hop rubber and inner barrel (hops well for me currently on 28's). It looks like it was designed by a 15 year old (Aeroknox's fault not DE) but it grows on you. It's very pointable and has decent weight to it but not too heavy. The kestral does what it says on the tin and I can now see how many BB's I wasted trying to hit a guy behind a tree. It's about £70 more than the closest M9XX series AEG so that will put some people off but in saying all this I kinda like it.

The single stack 1911 mags definitely suffer from lower ammo and gas capacity which is why you don't often see them in skirmishes. That's the realm of the Hi-Capas Depends how much you rely on pistols in games and they're fine for collecting and plinking of course.

Might be dependent on our definitions of very very cheap. To me, £70 delivered for an Army Armament R17 (£75 at bbGnuz4lez, wait 24 hours, get offered a 7% discount) is "how bad can it be?" territory (surprisingly OK, as it turns out). Knocking on double that for an unknown OEM, rebranded twice, I'd want to see more than unboxing gushing or two-mag raves on InstaBook.

  30. Hmmm could you just be mad that he's better than a lot of players? From his YouTube it seems like a lot of cheaters seem to be those he faces. Also are you or the forum not worried about the liable remarks of defamation against KickingMustang? If I was him I would contact the police about these accusations other than the cheating. Also calling him that name is actually bullying and says alot more about the person you are and the forum that condones this behaviour. My guess the maliciousness comes from him possibly putting you up on YouTube as a cheater. Camera never lies. Hate him or love him he's getting alot of people into airsoft. Do better! Be nicer!

Heck, no, I'm always laughing at how much people pay for reel steal optics to put on toys that sling tiny bits of plastic with less consistency than the cheapest AliExpress red dot can provide. Well, two kinds of people would say that. People who aren't shilling for Vorsk, and people who are shilling for Vorsk. I don't think you are, but I do agree with the sentiment that you've already decided to buy it and are looking for validation. It's very common. So I hereby validate, bless and anoint thee, do as thou wilt. Just please do let us know how it turns out either way, since - as you correctly say - first hand experience is invaluable. Or if you're determined to buy it just to see how bad it can be, well, I do that all the time, so double blessings on that.

Ahoy and welcome. You may need to interact a bit more before you get access, but we do indeed have classifieds sections here: For looking: https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/category/4-electric-rifles/ For asking: https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/category/17-guns-wanted/ It's worth asking around at your local site(s) as well, as then you'll get to try them out before buying. Just don't get over excited and bite someone's hand off based on what they say they paid for it, check against retail prices (and availability) first. Do you have anything specific in mind, and what would you want it to do differently to the Cybergun that you (presumably) already have?

From what I can see online Vorsk haven't paid/ sent products to people to review. Maybe i'll bite the bullet (so to speak) and get one as they aren't too dear. No idea, from what i can see from being in stores the build quality is completely different from Vorsk to Raven, I know they are both brands of Nuprol however May be their own factory that produces them? Nothing similar to Vorsk out on the market really

Testing them in a store tells you nothing about their durability and reliability; even WE Hi-Powers usually work when brand new. I don't own a Vorsk, but I know of a couple of people who bought them; they lasted for a handful of games and then died. There are also plenty of first hand similar reports on t'interwebs. Remember that much of what you see on social media comes from either people with brand new toys or "influencers" 🤮 who are being rewarded for giving positive reviews.

  40. Paintball guns come under Airgun legislation - for a pistol, you cannot exceed 6 ft/lb which equates to 8.13 Joules. I'd be interested to hear what your particular guns were measured at. TBH - You might be better off asking in a dedicated Airgun or Paintball forum.

  45. Another great write up, as always. Yesterday Red Alert ran their first Battlesim LITE. No kit restrictions. Arm bands in use. No medic rule. Only break was for lunch. Basically one long skirmish day with set teams and shifting objectives throughout the day, and one constant objective. Red won the day convincingly (boo hiss), and overall the day was a great success. It was a good intro for anyone interested in battlesims/milsim/filmsims that don't want to invest in specific kit. Discussion is going on about what worked and what didn't, in order to tweak the rules as this may become a regular event every couple of months or so. I had great fun, with the highlight being escorting two WWII jeeps across the site to an objective point. But by the end of the day my back was giving out to me (I'm an old git), so I switched to war reporter mode and live streamed the last 20 minutes to Facebook, which I've now uploaded to YouTube and included below. I also took off my facepro and subsequently took a round right on the top of my nose (shown on the livestream🤣) Disclaimer: video contains foul mouthed old crusty! Red Alert's next actual Battlesim (not lite) is on the 21st of May. Book at this link: https://redalertpaintball.co.uk/battlesim/
