    Upgrading a cyma 48

This is most outdoor games I asked ChatGTP: Q: What is the best upgrade for my Airsoft replica? A: The best upgrade for your Airsoft replica depends on your specific needs and preferences, as well as the current state of your replica. However, here are some popular upgrade options that you can consider: Hop-up unit: Upgrading the hop-up unit can improve the accuracy and range of your Airsoft replica. A high-quality hop-up unit can also provide a more consistent and stable trajectory for your BBs. Inner barrel: A high-quality inner barrel can also improve the accuracy and range of your Airsoft replica. Look for a barrel that is made of quality materials and has a good level of precision. Spring: Upgrading the spring can increase the velocity of your Airsoft replica, which can be useful for certain types of gameplay. Gearbox: Upgrading the gearbox can improve the overall performance and reliability of your Airsoft replica. Look for a gearbox that is made of durable materials and has good quality components. Battery and charger: Upgrading the battery and charger can improve the performance and longevity of your Airsoft replica. Look for high-quality batteries and chargers that are compatible with your Airsoft replica. Remember, when upgrading your Airsoft replica, it is important to research and choose quality components from reputable manufacturers. It is also a good idea to consult with experienced Airsoft players or a professional technician for advice and assistance. Damn this thing is going to replace the forum!

Warrior kit is a class above current viper kit, lol maybe several classes, but to be fair on both brands warrior stuff is heavy duty quality materials, & it shows in its general physical weight, whereas current viper has improved massively compared to its early kit. In all fairness, given the amount of time it's worn, the lighter mags etc it carries, & the physical abuse it takes (or lack of), brands like viper & 8fields are ample for 99% of Airsofters, a Β£30 rig would probably last a couple of years of play no problem.

  4. It's an all-polymer new release from DE... rather tickles my particulars... For a start I've already got an AK with a couple of mags... and I've got too many M4 variants already - but I'll always be happy to have another DE

  5. This is true. Sometimes even the same platform varies... a tad... I'm undecided on the one on the left, the right one is great though

  7. Cyma for AKs, M14s and MP5s. Every Cyma M14 or MP5 I've owned has been a real workhorse of a gun over the years, and I've recommended many Cyma MP5s to friends and they all love them.

  8. I picked up a CYMA metal bodied Ak74SU a couple of months ago for less than Β£200. I would go CYMA AK/M14. I'll leave the M4 recommendations to others.

TM M733, Vortex red dot, TacBelts minimalist sling, Scout light clone on genuine Magpul mount (butchered by me) and an E&C non-clone correct grip (fight me!) Internally it has 16:1 gears short stroked 4 teeth (2 pickup / 2 release) shimmed and Warhead HS motor. XT M110 spring is giving 275fps (+/-1fps, ~1J) on Warhead 0.28g BBs and a grouping of 30mm at 10m from a clamped position. ML Macaron 50deg and hard nub do the hard work there! Response and rate of fire on a 7.4v 20c LiPo is excellent without getting into w*nker gun territory and resorting to MOSFETs and such. I am after a rubber stock pad (the shorter type, all ones I have found are 30% longer than the butt plate!) and maybe an E&C metal receiver as the handle on the TM polymer one cracked and is held together with glue....not the most stable optic mounting!

Bejaysus, I mind walking to the car if I've parked it an extra 6" away from the kerb 😁 The OP mentioned he's got his own guns and kit, I'm really not sure I could get much stuff around on a bus or train, especially in gun-shaped carriers.... not saying it's impossible, as you've obviously managed it, but it's not going to be easy is it? I struggle to get my regular purchases of Stella Artois back from the car to the house 🀑

  15. All the WAS kit I owned was excellent quality. Indeed a lot of WAS kit is used by active service units in various countries and has seen numerous deployments over the years - so it's 'combat proven'. But as @Tackle mentioned - for general BBwarz/LARPsoft the likes of Viper is perfectly adequate. I'm quite happy with Aliexpress clones of kit at the moment, the quality is generally 'good enough'. Brands I avoid? Generally Ares, VFC and Specna.

  17. A man and his wife were driving home one very cold night when she asked her husband to stop the car. There was a baby skunk lying at the side of the road, and she got out to see if it was still alive. It was, and she said to her husband, "It's nearly frozen to death. Can we take it with us, get it warm, and let it go in the morning?" He says, "O.K., Get in the car with it." "Where shall I put it to get it warm?" He says, "Put it in between your legs. It's nice and warm there.” "But what about the smell?" "Just hold its nose." The man is expected to recover, but the skunk she used to beat him with died at the scene

  19. I keep seeing the "Β£200 RIF for a first gun" on places like Reddit etc. and I always give the options of; Specna Arms RRA SA-E02 EDGE (Β£140) - X-ASR MOSFET, full metal receiver Specna Arms RRA SA-E03 EDGE (Β£160) - Same as above, just longer barrel Specna Arms SA-C23 (Β£140) - X-ASR MOSFET, polymer receiver, m-lok handguard Cheaper than their budget which leaves cash for batteries and charger or mags.

  20. To be fair most of the brands are sound. Specna and Arcturus make very good M4's. Cyma is famous about AK's and MP5's. And ofc the oldschool M14. Marui makes very reliable workhorses etc. For 200 pound I would buy a Double Eagle M90 variant because internally you can't beat that gun in that price range. Or a Saigo Defense Ronin if you're into PDW style guns. If you're not worried about warranty just have a look at classifieds on this forum. Plenty of good guns are out there and you can be even cheeky and get a good deal. 😎

In my experience of viper kit, the part that fails is their stitching. I've only had a few bits of viper kit but when they've failed it's always been in a corner of the stitching. I'm guessing they're cutting costs on thread quality and saving time not reinforcing those parts.

    hpa aeg or gbbr

AEG - Usually what I'd advise. They work, they're generally pretty consistent (more than consistent enough before anyone chimes in with "but my HPA system is more consistent!"), they're simple to use and reliable all year round. You can carry way more ammo than you'll realistically need in a game thanks to high caps and you can also carry an Odin speedloader or something like that for in case you need a top-up, so you can easily carry thousands of BBs in a simple loadout, and even if you go solely mid-caps you're still easily capable of carrying hundreds of rounds in a few mags. All in all, there's a reason why AEGs are the mainstay of the hobby and the most common guns. The main drawbacks of AEGs are that gearboxes are technowizardry, so maintenance at that level is difficult, and they're relatively noisy, which isn't really a concern unless your playstyle is specifically designed around being a sneaky bugger. Also, if you treat LiPo batteries poorly they will catch fire pretty spectacularly, but it's very easy to avoid that through proper battery maintenance. There aren't many reasons to not go with an AEG, all things considered. GBBR - The fun, but impractical platform. Will you be outgunned in every fight? Yes, unless you're in a firefight with a bolt action user. Will you curse your choice in the depths of winter when it doesn't work nearly as well? Yes. I hope you like semi-auto on this platform, because the way gas works you're going to get rapid cooldown on full-auto which means any burst longer than a second will start flying all over the place. However, ever since I squeezed through a magazine with my TM AKM, I swore myself off AEGs. They're so much fun to use and feel a lot more satisfying when you do hit people, plus when you pull of a speedy reload with all the realistic weapon manipulation stuff it feels really cool. They also tend to perform really, really well when conditions are optimal. However, mags are incredibly expensive (you'll be looking at Β£50+ per mag), have a very low capacity (usually around 35 BBs) and are heavy. I carry 7 spare mags for my MWS and 5 spares for my AKM and they are definitely not light... HPA - I have a (potentially) controversial opinion on HPA; I think it's pointless outside of sniper/DMR/sneakyboi guns. Yes, it's more consistent than AEG, but in airsoft at the ranges we play it's totally negligible, plus you can tune an AEG for a fraction of the cost to be pretty much as consistent. Most of the time when playing like a normal person, you'll be squeezing off a couple of shots to hit the target, partially because we're a trigger-happy bunch and partially because airsoft guns are not precision weapons, they're air-powered muskets shooting a projectile that weighs a fraction of a gram at about a joule of energy. Also, you'll have to get used to running an air line and a tank, which you won't notice 95% of the time, but that 5% of the time is infuriating when it gets caught on stuff or tangled up in kit. It's a lot more silent than an AEG or GBBR if you put a foam-filled suppressor on it, it's like having a long mk23 with a far better trigger, way more ammo and the ability to go full-auto. I think all the benefits of HPA are fantastic for sniping and playing sneaky, but outside of that I think AEGs are just a better option.

That's a tricky one, as if you luck out and get one from a decent production run at the right OEM, they can be fine, and have reasonable features for the price. But the fact that they change OEMs, QC, and their product lines more than a typical airsofter washes their socks does put a huge question mark over them. I'd say they're still worth a punt at the low end, but they can forget any aspirations of going up-market while they're pulling bait-and-switches.

  31. Given how much 36 Pattern webbing is around in sound nick, poor load carrying should be a thing of the past! I bought a Belgian BAR set of webbing last week. Still 100% useable if old fashioned. Even Indian repro WWI kit is stronger than cheap airsoft gear. Not that 'operator' to show up with a stripper kit rig though.

From what I understand it's largely down to things they say being vague/intelligently enough to give the impression it's produced in the UK, when in reality (at least as I understand it from leaked documentation) a decent portion is produced in China. Albeit with decent quality materials, assuming those claims are to be believed. As @Lozart has said their claims regarding development and R&D in general certainly don't help their case, given the majority is just clones of high end kit sometimes with the odd tweak... sometimes just a straight up copy. I've never owned any so I can't speak for it. Is it better than Viper? I imagine so. Is it anywhere close to something like C2R? I imagine not. Does it have a place on this list? I also imagine not.

I was warned that her grandfather was coming for dinner and would always order German wine partly so he could mention he he used to fly over the region during his time with the Luftwaffe. Upgrading a cyma 48

All I'd do is swap the hop rubber and nub, as those are very cheap things to do and will have the most impact. Everything else is fine on Cyma guns (generally). Consistency is more important than max range anyway, as I've often had people spray a shower of BBs in my direction, missing entirely, only for me to take one or two well-placed shots to take them out, often to the angry "tAKe yOuR hItS!" call from my target. That and "yoU hAvE a 30m MED dUde!" (when I'm using my 1.1J build) are two of the things that fuel me and I love it every time someone gets all salty at me πŸ˜‚ I'll also echo basically all of this (and I'm ont of those pesky tree cosplayers mentioned!). The advice the old site owner at Worthing, who was one of the big reasons why I got into airsoft, gave to all of us was "if he's 5m out of range, take a few steps forward". Now it's obviously not just as simple as that, but the idea is the same. Get aggressive and push up and you'll really start to make your presence known in game because a lot of people these days just hunker down behind cover and spray BBs into the barricade that the enemy is hunkering down behind.

"Take one out while the other's not looking" - Some guy in a video game circa 2007 I'm so happy this is working again. 55psi on the regulator has it firing between 1.112J at the lowest and 1.137J at the highest on .32s, so it's mega consistent and just where I need it for no MED shenanigans. I've semi-locked it, despite not being a "DMR" as it's meant to be an m21 sniper rifle, and the m21 was semi-auto only. Stubby mags are feeding flawlessly now, which is amazing as it means I don't need to run a chest rig as I can store 3 spare mags in a medium utility pouch (and they don't rattle around) and an Odin speedloader in another pouch, plus it makes it look very sniper-y and unique. I still have half a bag of .4s though, so I might rattle a few shots at 1.64J on the range (my local site's DMR limits) to see how it shoots there, but likelihood is I just keep it at 1.14J and keep the ability to point-blank, especially with how close we are to my local site growing some thick foliage through spring and becoming woodland CQB As the weather warms up, I might revert to my longest standing weapon combination: m21 sniper rifle and 1911 pistol is what I used to run when I played in Spain, because it's what I ran in CoD4 as a teenager
