  2. New little project for me, started to wonder how hard to would be to 3D print my own handguards 1 hour in and I've got the front end modelled up reasonably accurately (I think) going to try an M-Lok rail first and then maybe try an SD style front end

  3. Ghost Recon Breakpoint vs Real Life Loadout Not a 100% replication, but as close as I can get within the confines of the in game modding options and without dropping a shit-ton on new gear.

  4. New belt height retention holster is inbound. The drop leg looked OK, but clearly isn't a practical choice.

  5. Just a bit more data from my recent experience. Put a Novritsch order through on the 31st March containing a RIF above the Β£135 threshold. UPS delivered it today, parcel completely intact, with no sign of any tampering from Border Force. The packing slip sealed to the outside describing the RIF with my UKARA number on the reverse hadn't been removed either. No mention of UKARA anywhere else on the package. No additional imports fees were required, but the shipping line is described as 'taxes prepaid' if that carries any weight. The UPS tracking on the other hand was terrible - a combination of vague updates and a rolling scheduled delivery date. I'd definitely take any scheduled/estimated delivery date with a pinch of salt and wait for the tracking to say it's departed the facility.

  6. Nicely done. It does speak to why you have your holster where you do though, always worth bearing in mind that game designers don't always place things because that's where they should be, so much as it's where it's easiest to put it for animating. As far as how you site your holster, it's a lot of personal preference but also a lot to do with ergonomics. If it's too far down your leg to draw without having to bend down/over then it's too far down. If it's moving about on your leg then it's too loose. In general drop leg holsters came about because people needed to draw around body armour and dropping the holster down gives you the clearance to do that. I'd highly recommend the Fobus EMC series (had one for ages for my HK45) but the draw does take a bit of getting used to and it would be nigh on impossible that far down your leg. I'd personally say that either a mid or low ride belt loop (safariland knock offs are easy to find and cheap) with a single leg strap nestled snugly in your crotch will make for a far easier life!

  7. I did a stand up routine for a talent show once. I had a damn good joke about a fat badger, but I couldn't fit it into my set.

I'm waiting for warhead to get my motor back to me and I think I can finally call my SCAR-H 'Broadsword' complete. Real happy with how the two-toned stock came out, I had the cheekrest cerakoted black. (shout to Supreme Coatings) Just slapped the parts together because I wanted an up to date pic, grip is resting on a motor there..

  9. Had mine since release , like most I’ve only plinked with it due to lack of mags but I was lucky enough to catch some stock at Impulse101 just after Christmas and snagged a couple more , it was sporting the VFC lighted handguard but now the RAS

  10. Hi all! First and foremost I would just like to show my appreciation to everyone in the forum, especially admins/mods, for all of the excellent information readily available, which is invaluable to a newbie like me! I have been making my way through it, familoarising myself with the rules and forum sections etc. I am an active member on other forums like this (within different hobbies) so I had a good idea as to how this would work, but wanted to be sure I understood things before making my first post! I had been exploring the idea of getting into airsoft for a while now however Covid and work had got in the way. I finally decided to take the plunge into the world of airsoft a few weeks back, visiting a (somewhat) local shop to ask for advice and get my first beginner gear (For anyone interested it was Bomb up in Warrington). Following that, I went to one of their pistol club nights and had a great time, everyone was really friendly and more than happy to help me out and offer advice. I have booked my first skirmish in at Outpost airsoft near Chester for the full day on 16th April and I am extremely excited for it, whilst also a tad nervous as despite being in my 20s, my fitness is not what it was pre lockdown, largely due to my office job, working from home for a good portion of that time, stopping going the gym and Tarkov.... πŸ˜‚ I have all the gear I need and will wait patiently for my UKARA defense before I buy my first gun, therefore will be using rentals until then as I don't really see the point in investing in a two tone only to replace it 2 months later! Any advice or knowledge you can bestow upon a complete beginner like me would be greatly appreciated!

  20. Not random at all , if I recall correctly it’s a 360mm or 370mm crazyjet fitted in that one , I’d have to dig the packaging out though to confirm .

  21. I strongly suspect that's the magic phrase. Stuff bought from AliExpress claims it too. Not that I have any real belief that it's actually being paid, but the incantation is there on the package.

  22. Random question mate, what inner barrel length are you running on the left (HK416) RIF? I'm about to extend my own but hadn't worked out the inner yet!

  25. Thank you mate, I'll be sure to check your channel out! πŸ™‚ Thank you for the advice mate! I had watched a video a while back talking about AEG vs GBBR and it was talking about the reliability issues of GBBR due to more metal and moving parts. I really love the idea of full immersion and the more realistic looking/feeling/sounding the gun the better for me! With that being said, have you had much issues with reliability and if so, would you say its a significant difference over an AEG? πŸ€”

  26. Sounds like you were fortunate. I'd wager there's no set procedure dictating that every RIF must be pulled by Border Force. Rather they have a quota of random inspections or when packages are seized, it's literally because the person handling it isn't familiar with the whole airsoft RIF/UKARA concept.

  27. Welcome bud. I like you, heavily researched before being involved online and at games. So much so I had a shopping list well before my Ukara. My first ever game was in october 2021 and I am now the proud owner a TM M4A1 GBBR. I went against the common recommendation of starting with an AEG due to already knowing my reasons for wanting to play. I wanted realism and a mechanical RIF. The way the M4 works and how it sounds brings the biggest smile to my face. It's a feat of engineering but hey I digress. Just know what you want from it and take note on how you want to play in your rental days and I'm sure you won't go wrong. I bought my own eyepro and face protection after my first game as I hated the fencing style mask and it made that second rental game 10 times better than the first. It sounds like you are heading in the right direction. Don't be shy to get stuck in here it's a great forum. Lots to discuss. Have fun

  32. Hi @Karl Serjeantand welcome aboard the good ship Afuk.πŸ‘ Well your first time will be terrifying! You will get rinsed and you will return home a bloodied and welt ridden mess and wondering why you paid good money to get that look. The rules that will be barked at you regarding safety and game play will leave you bewildered and confused. You will be shouted at by experienced players for not being in the right place at the right time or obscuring their line of sight. Make sure your kit is up to date and worn correctly and that you are fully acquainted with the external and internal workings of your weapons or you might be laughed at. Wear good quality eyepro( eye protection. Make sure you learn these terms or you will be laughed at) Look attentive during briefings even if they last 40 mins. You may be picked on to answer a question.Always a source of amusement for regulars!🀭 Other than the above just enjoy yourself and have fun.😊 disregard all of above mate.......you will love it πŸ‘πŸ˜€ regards

  33. Beautiful. Split between a VFC Fal (when it releases) and some pat-70 webbing or grabbing a cyma galil as my R4 and selling my kidney to get an m83 battle jacket.

  34. GZ is my local site. I live 20mins away from it. In the 16-odd years I've been playing, not once did I think the NAF would be a good idea from a gameplay perspective. I mean, the place sucks with 200-300 players on site during a 'normal' skirmish day with bottleneck tracks, shit terrain and millions of rhododendron bushes, so the thought of it being scaled-up by an order of magnitude (with commensurate price increase) definitely does not appeal. BUT...... GZ are trying something new with a two day Milsim-ish (battlesim??) event in May - Operation Green Sceptre That seems to be a much more compelling event in my mind - the site itself would probably work quite well in the ammo-limited, Milsim scenario-driven context. Less likely to see the gameplay completely stopped by a kiddie with a drum mag hidden under a bush at the top of a track seemly invulnerable to BB hits.
