THE TM MWS thread
ThatNordicGuy and one other reacted to Davegolf for a topic
Hi Bernt! Welcome to MWS ownership!! All MWS have nigh on identical internal workings Stock circa 300 FPS on 134a / upto 330 on Green SixG Super Nub is great drop in range and accuracy upgrade Longer barrel will increase FPS, but not increase accuracy Floating valve alterations are needed to reliably and efficiently increase FPS Dont get too hung up on FPS, these MWS guns punch well above their weight! I dont see the need for more than 400 FPS on 0.2g, once you go higher youre increasing wear and efficency / consistency will suffer As for GBB pistols, if you want performance to match the MWS then it has to be Hi Capa2 points -

Sounds to me like anyone who gets upset seeing a fake Rolex or other stupidly expensive watch is annoyed because they've spent so much money on something that really doesn't reveal its worth. If you're happy to fork out for a 'real' one then you shouldn't care what anyone else has. This is turning into a hot subject2 points

Hi all, After seeing someone post on here regarding AirsoftFaceProUK on Facebook, decided to take a look & invest in a couple of MK3 Snoods with integrated mouth guard for two different scenarios:- 1st was to compliment my night set up, opted for a skull cap over the usual fast helmet as I find these too clunky, however wanted something lightweight & breathable on the lower part of my face which equally gave me some protection against BB hits, the black snood w/ integrated mouth guard more than does the job as well as giving my large bugle (Nose!) protection 2nd was for my sniping set up, compliments a leaf hood & custom face mask, I used to wear a thick balaclava underneath this set up but was too damn hot, so again opted for something which gives me a lighter layer of protection whilst remaining light & breathable. Am looking forward to putting these both through their paces at a Milsim event next weekend2 points -

What is with people sitting on an item you've bought and paid for over a week ago and getting all pissy when you open a dispute via PayPal against them when you discover they haven't even bothered to send it yet? Like fair enough of you're busy but come on. You can make time or at least give me the courtesy of telling me it will be delayed or something.. Am I the only dude who ships stuff within a day at the most of payment being receieved?2 points -

"Not directed at anyone here or else where" It was just a general thing mate, not getting at you. but seriously when you start selling a £500 watch for £50,000 because you you've got a brand on it, that's bul. same with ferrais, and jaguars, and astons, great precision machines, not worth a 1/3 of the price, aston martin could sell a DB5 to everyone in the world and be the riches comapny ever, but they don't they sell 100 because they're "exclusive". And you know what, rolex make quite nice watches, I still ain't paying more than £20 for something that's handing of my wrist. And absolutely fair, bad watch is a bad watch, but you get to a point when craftmanship and materials can only justify prices so far, I've never seen a fake watch other than the one I bought when I was 12, hell I've only had 2 actual watches. But there are people who care and I HATE those people. Because they want people to spend the most amount of money on everything to show off. and jsut urgh. It's not even a money thing it's a, social thing, it's sneering at someone for not having a tailor. £50 for a wrist watch? I wouldn't spend £15 on a watch unless it was gold or went in a pocket. He's the thing, There's the "watch community" and then there's people who see a watch and buy a watch. I mean you're welcome to spend your money on anything you want, you can collect, it's your life and your money, I got no problem with that. But to me it's a kin to us bitching that a movie production bought a m4 with shitty string internals, it's not relevant. All right, all right, I'll batten it down.1 point

If your 'leftie comunistesque rant' was directed at my little joke, well I'm sorry as you have completely taken it the wrong way. I couldn't give a flying f*ck what somebody puts on their wrist, whether its a Rolex Submariner or a little digital Casio. budget aside most watches are bought based on their aesthetics and that's obviously down to the buyer. Personally for me I am more interested in horology, the history of these manufacturers and what goes into making a decent watch (regardless of cost small or large) Fake watches do not keep decent time. They have some crappy quartz movement from china stuffed into an equally inferior case. Unfortunately there is much division in the watch community, mainly due to closed mindedness, ignorance and vulgar petty bourgeois snobbery. However, there is one thing ALL watch fans agree on, from rookie hobbyist, aspiring collector such as myself to seasoned connoisseurs, and that is the unpleasant subject of fake replica watches You don't buy a fake Rolex as a 'cheap' watch in order to tell the time, you just don't! The sort of person that buys these fake watches IMO is because they want to provoke a reaction or get comments about said watch, when it's a sham because it's fake. If they really wanted a cheap watch watch in order to tell the time, there's a whole host of watches that can be had for under £50 from legitimate manufacturers that do the job without the 'fake' bit.1 point

For some reason I thought the JPC has a stitched crye tag across the top left hand side just under the shoulder strap/diagonal from the edge of the plate bag, not sure if I've made that up or what but after looking through marketplace and seeing a whole host of dreamers maybe I was blinded by the insane amount of shit!!! Anyone need some glass tent pegs?1 point -
Totally not airsoft related. Mrs wanted one of the new Gruffalo 50p's so I'm number 11291 in the queue 😕1 point

THE TM MWS thread
Davegolf reacted to ThatNordicGuy for a topic
Hello, So i re-read all the pages, and I must have been drunk and skipped every other pages last time, and have found most of what I was asking about. Sorry for being that guy. I have tried to answer my own questions to the best of my (your) knowledge after haveing re-read everything. My own (possibly right/wrong) answers in blue. My name is Bernt and I am from Norway. So, I am a newcomer to airsoft and have decided to take the step so to speak and buy a TM MWS rifle. Now, I do like the look of the MTR16, so I am leaning towards that model. I have no experience in GBBR’s, but have dabbled with cheap AEG’s. But I have a few (stupid?) questions I hope this community can help me answer: The TM MWS models can all use the same internal parts? The M4 MWS and MTR16 at least. Stock/vanilla model will fire a about 300fps with 134a gas, and 360ish with green gas (mod)? Ish How easy is it to “tune” the fps into a wanted fps? (AEG will use different springs to obtain different fps. Other than different gas types (chart?), what can be done to tune a TM MWS in the same manner? Is there a way to measure Joule?) Trial and error, chrono, npas valve? Specifically; this year I’ll be joining two “big” events this year, both with different rules in regards output velocity. Inferno Games: 118 m/s or 390FPS with 0.25g BB (semi/auto) or 112 m/s or 370FPS with 0.25g BB BBR: 98 m/s or 322FPS with 0.25g BB (semi/auto) Otherwise I will be playing at my local club, that follows national airsoft rules (for Norway) Club games: 137m/s or 450FPS with .020g BB (semi/auto) How do I tune my MTR16/MWS to fall into these to different regulations? What are the upgrade parts I should buy? (What spare parts should I buy?) I see references to a magical brass nob for the hop unit? For the MTR16, I was thinking about changing the inner barrel to a longer one. Is there a chart showing the new fps (because (and, I might be stupid) a longer inner barrel will increase the fps, range and accuracy?) I saw someone say it was difficult to change the inner barrel on the MTR16? (Further down the road, I would like to build a DMR MTR16, but that will probably have to be a new post some other day.) As for sidearm, I have been looking at TM’s Hi-Capa versions and Glock’s. Are there any tips on spareparts/spareparts etc? I will be ordering from abroad and would like to order “everything needed” in one order. So I have understood the following can be bought with good intentions; a thight bore inner barrel (will increas fps, and range), the brass nub (if I want to throw heavier bb's), NPAS / G&P Enhanced Valve to "tune" the fps, and tan bucking. Add some nozzel return spring just in case. Thank you for your time and help, Regards Bernt.1 point -

I haven't had time to post here in a while. In that time I picked up a TM AA12 and it is a insane piece of kit! I got more kills than I ever have in airsoft and more importantly I had the most fun I have had in a while! I would say you gotta have strict trigger discipline to avoid overshooting folk.1 point

Given my penchant for everything Cold War related, I have a small collection of Vostock Kommandirskie Amphibias from the old Soviet Union. Really nicely put together winding watches. One white letters on black face the other black on white, nice big red star on them. They are fairly collectable as well but won't break the bank. One below is similar but mine hasnt got the date on it.1 point -
