Here is the most recent update of my TM MTR16 GBB. Still need another optic & need to change the foregrip (the KWA Vector one is all I have), but I love it! Can't really see the carbon fibre outer barrel, but it is there 😉

  6. I have one. Played on an event with it once, so far I like it very much. Some parts of it are made of cheese. The screws for example and only after less than 100 rounds there was the big dent on the thing the hammer hits. Gluing a small rubber there is a must. Mine shoots very nice with the stock parts after a cleanup. Easy 70m torso hits on the test range. My Hi-capa couldn't reach it, only 65m. I'm trying to make it quieter with various methods. It's in progress.

  10. DMR envy. I'd urge people not to propagate this. The rogue has been identified and the issue is with the site. I'm not surprised to note that this seems to have been missed in the middle of the rage-fest. At this point, it's clickbait. There is nothing constructive to be gained from promoting it. If the ID was wrong or site doesn't deal with it, that's a different matter.

Any USB charger will do as long as it has a sufficiently high Ma rating That's the balance charger port for the lipo's as is for charging and measuring individual cells. the other connector is for discharging and is connected across the full pack Unless it says Nuprol on it anywhere the charger is fine for 1 battery, but you will need more than 1 battery for a days play Packet of 50 bb's in with the gun, always go straight into bin as they are rubbish, so no loss

  14. Firstly I would like to point out that your post reads like a complaint email to us, rather than a polite request for advice. Secondly as pointed out above you haven't provided enough details. I used to work for DHL (the freight forwarding side, not courier) and it always used to amaze me that customers would constantly moan at us about decisions and delays made by the local customs authority. I ordered a drum magazine from evike and in addition to the massive delay in it arriving in the country, it took over a month to even be looked at by customs.

    Torquing nuts (!)

Good question. I’m almost certain it’s not bottoming out - I think there’s still some thread left to play with - but am cautious not to push it too far! Both nut and receiver thread were lubed with a Teflon spray before assembly. You, sir, are a man of science and I salute you! 😁 Hah! Funnily enough I totally get what you mean here. My other hobby is fixing up guitars and there’s plenty of ‘feel’ involved in that too. Point noted 👍 Thanks, that’s a good call. That’s some sensible reasoning 🙂 Yes, I’m still in the ‘safe zone’ of being able to undo the nut. It’s not crazy tight, I’m just being over-cautious with the parts being aluminum and not steel (and I’m not accustomed to working with aluminium). Yeah, I’m using an AR block and vice to hold the upper receiver. Makes the task much easier! ——- Thanks to you all for the input here, appreciated! I’m probably going to err on the side of caution and not torque the nut any further. The hand guard is currently very sturdy once fitted - no wobble etc - just a slight gap as mentioned (<1mm). I can live with that for the sake of avoiding a Hulk Smash moment and wrecking stuff... and I’m quite prone to such moments 😬 Cheers all 🍺

  17. Admittedly at first glance I was undecided on whether or not it was intentional but after I watched it again (prior to my initial post) I came to the conclusion that the most likely scenario was that it was deliberate. The biggest tell tale is the way he steps onto the rifle, it's very deliberate. His pace also slows significantly to allow for his initial step onto the rifle and the almost immediate placement of his second. Finally, you need to consider that the feel of a rifle underfoot will be significantly different to the ground he's been walking on (this ignores the sound aspect of weight being applied). Even if we were to work on a train of thought of applying the benefit of the doubt, the player failed to report it and as highlighted elsewhere he can be heard laughing/chuckling after stepping on it. While you could always argue that he could be one of the many who would scarper from the area (which as far as we can tell, he didn't) to avoid a potential invoice and/or confrontation, it is still beyond poor form in the event of an accident. Personally, I just think there's too much to give sufficient weight to any argument of it being an accident. Fingers crossed he is identified and here's hoping that an appropriate response is undertaken by the site in question.

  19. They have an obligation to do their utmost to protect their clients from harm (within reason lol), as such the dickheads actions could have quite easily escalated in to a violent confrontation, with the evidence they have they're duty-bound to ensure he doesn't do it again, the only sure way is ban him permanently, if they don't then they may lose business as this goes viral in the community.

Agree with everything said so far, just remember this very valuable question... "Will I ever be able to undo this without potentially breaking something?". If you suspect the answer is ever anything other than 'yes', stop. Out of curiousity, are you using an AR block or similar to hold everything in place?

If you want to be sure it’s not going to work loose then a drop of light duty threadlocker will hold it in place. Be careful what strength is used as high strength thread lock needs heat and brute force to release, mid strength needs brute force and low strength needs some force. Something like Loctite 222 will give a low strength fix

  27. You sure its not bottoming out? If its not just keep taking it off and on again cleaning and lubing the threads as you go. I would not like to guess at how much torque the thread could take without knowing the composite of the alu and how deep the threads are cut.

  29. This was something I was contemplating myself earlier actually. For all intents and purposes they are the same width, with each "Compartment" being the same. But the SMG inserts being open at the bottom allow the smg mags to sit further down into the pouch. I've got two of the Pistol mag inserts and they're good - retention is tight on the mag without being annoying and you can sit the insert down into the pouch quite far so only the baseplate sits proud of the pouch itself. Wouldn't worry about them falling out.

  30. Definitely agree with @Rogerborg on this one. It's best to leave it for the site to deal with and avoid turning this into another piece of clickbait. On a side note, while they are a hindrance at times, I would strongly recommend that your friend invests in a sling for his M14 @Lozart so that he can keep it with him under more conditions. I'd also advise standing it up against stuff where it is unlikely to fall over so that it is less likely to be kicked/trodden on. While I don't think it is the case in this instance, a lot of face protection limits the player's field of vision more than people realise and as such their awareness drops massively. There will always be occasions where you'll want to put down a piece of kit but sadly there are a lot of people in this world who are malicious simply for the sake of it. I suspect that it would be worth your friends time and/or money to have his M14 broken down, inspected and serviced. Even if it is just for peace of mind.

  31. I’ve been eyeing up one of ‘Utility Rigs’ for a while as a cheaper option to throw a bunch of fake leaves and other random assorted shite onto with Shoe Goo (loved the D3CRM and Flatpack combo, didn’t have the heart to deface it). Don’t suppose you know how well the SMG inserts would work for pistol mag retention? The only thing that’s been putting me off is how shallow the pistol mag inserts seem to be, it’s weird that they’ve stitched the bottom... though I guess picking that stitching is another option to have them sit a bit deeper.

  32. General tip for any spiritus and associated clone rigs; put whatever you're gonna carry in to the insert beforehand as mentioned, whether it's 556 mags, SMG, whatever, then kinda bend it in to a curve and push it in. Only the convex side of the velcro will try and stick on the way down and you can just slide a piece of paper/your hand/your Trojan Magnums in there to stop it adhering before the insert is fully home. After 1 or 2 goes you can swap loadouts in seconds.

  34. The USB connector has some LED's in the plug, so it's red and flashing green for charging, and just fully green for fully charged. I guess the thing cuts out when charged. The documentation advises a charger plug rating of 1-2A, and to use the charging cable until the LED's tell you to stop. Charging time is supposed to be one hour. I have another charger bank that's rated at 2A, and the phone charger plug I'm using is rated at 1A. I'll try the lower output bank first. Seems a good solution for field charging from a bank. I may look at the S65 charger, seems a good choice. I just wanted an intro gun, and because I have no UKARA yet it's a two-tone. I'm still pretty much in isolation as I'm a vulnerable person, so plinking in the garden for a few months until I try some events, have a try on some rental and other players guns, and decide what proper ones to get. 👍 Without any experience at the moment I'm looking at AEP for those as well, or spring sniper for outdoors. Gas is cool, but seems a lot of expense, more failures, and extra maintenance, but I'll keep assessing. The SSP18 does look interesting though. 😎

  35. Just on the subject of UPS I had a similar experience to Schnakey - though I wouldn't say they were rude to me, for whatever that's worth. In this case I ordered an outer barrel from evike was flagged up under some customs code, I had to complete a form which I have attached below if anyone is curious - perhaps if you emailed them in advance it could speed stuff up. The form does make it seem like they want UKARA for just parts, I pretty much answered "no" or "n/a" to every single question and it was fine. I have a contact email for a member of the "brokerage" team at East Mids airport - if anybody wants it drop me a PM. Thanks RIF DEC (1).DOC

  36. Er, the video says that the cuntspangle has already been identified and the site is aware of it. If it's a positive ID, I'd be wanting that passed around to every other site in the galaxy, although hopefully Dogtag will take care of that too.

  37. have you looked at soldier of fortune? they seem to have a couple of sten parts for sale including skeleton stocks. given that the northeast sten is made to the same dimensions as the real steel, these should fit... https://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/sten-gun-no3-mk1-skeleton-stock.html https://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/skeleton-rear-pistol-grip-for-sten-gun.html as for anti corrosion, i havent added anything to the gun myself, and i dont believe the previous owner did either, and while i havent noticed any rust forming on it,i am looking into what anti corrosion products would be suitable i only got the sten a couple of weeks ago from the classifieds here, and havent skirmished it yet as i need to get more mags and suitable mag pouches for the 37 pattern webbing

  42. I've just heard a fantastic example of which audience Novritsch and Silo products are aimed at. In a recent video, Silo is talking about the SSP18 having an internal hammer unlike the Marui Hi-Capa (which he had on the desk)....oh and "The Hi-Capa is an SSP1 with Tokyo Marui parts" Also in the Novritsch SSP18 gameplay video, Josef talks about how he's the one who lead the design team on the development of it....that doesn't stop him from releasing a review video of it on his own channel. OK bear with me because this isn't just an anti-Novritsch rant. My entry in to airsoft fallacies is trustworthy/independent reviews. I mean most airsofters would be overly positive about a skirmish site for a free game day, start chucking free RIF's at them and they'd do whatever you want. I've said it before but another prime example is "Airsoft Mike". Comes across as a nice guy but I would never trust the review of someone who works so closely with so many retailers.

  43. I'm fine with them, I doubt that he's managed to reduce the quality below any other airsoft pot-metal product. Bloke on Sunday was running an SSP1 all day with no problems, and seemed happy enough with it. Mind you, I'm happy enough with my £55 R17, so that's where I've set my standards.
