  1. An elderly couple, Mary and Declan, live in Cork. Declan always wanted a pair of authentic riding boots. So seeing some on sale one day, he buys them, wears them home, walking proudly. He walks into the house and says to his wife ‘Notice anything different about me?’ Mary looks him over, ‘Nope.’ Frustrated, Declan storms off into the bathroom, undresses, and walks back into the room completely naked except for the boots. Again, he asks, a little louder this time ‘Notice anything different NOW?’ Mary looks up and says, ‘Declan , what’s different? It’s hanging down today, it was hanging down yesterday, and it’ll be hanging down again tomorrow.’ Furious, Declan yells, AND DO YOU KNOW WHY IT’S HANGING DOWN, MARY? ‘Nope’ she replies. ‘IT’S HANGING DOWN BECAUSE IT’S LOOKING AT MY NEW BOOTS!!!!!’ Declan yells. To which Mary replies…”Shoulda bought a hat, Declan.Shoulda bought a hat".

  3. So this sort of twattery occurs when you have too much time on your hands... turning a pallet into a backstop for my garden test shoots The cunning plan was to cut strips of an old yoga mat and suspend them from a bar to absorb the hits and ensure there aren't BB's bouncing noisily off the fence (which might annoy the neighbours). Also would stop the BB's bouncing back on to the lawn (which might annoy m'wife). You can see previous evidence of my misdemeanors in the photos Unfortunately it wasn't all that cunning... the yoga mat wasn't really big enough to provide enough strips to overlap well, so I added the camo netting doubled over, front and back (which was originally intended just for the front, just for effect). That really didn't do much except tangle up the strips and probably get in the way of them hanging straight. So BB's are going all the way through to the last layer of defence, some old under-flooring insulation (a very frangible fibreboard). Eventually they'll get through that too, given how the concentrated bursts are grouping so nicely. Any good ideas on what else I can do (cheaply!) to improve this? I could get another cheapo mat and just add extra strips, if you guys think the original plan was good enough?

  6. I’d recommend editing your thread title to something like: Newcastle - storage required That would help highlight for local players Southampton university society had problems with their new members in similar circumstances that those living in University accommodation were not allowed to hold RIFs. They worked around it a few ways with society storage & members living off site. An option that may be possible would be to speak to a local site and see if you can get some temporary storage - which depends on specifics as to whether they do have safe storage on site and you would want a lockable case etc (many sites may be remote and don’t store valuables on site as they can be easy picking for burglaries) If you haven’t done already then search ‘self storage newcastle’ and look for initial discounts and compact space for students etc

    Dynatex 6209 vs Quake 8

Quake 8-way can carry 7x .209 primers in each grenade so you don't have to reload each time. You simply twist the base to each numbered slot and twist to the safe position when finished with it. When I had one I never had an issue with it not going off. Can't speak for the Dynatex offering but given how they're pretty much the same price when new, I know which i'd go for. If I remember rightly, they also sell spares for the Quake grenades just in case anything breaks.

  11. Damn bloody shame. You'll be well missed, but your health comes first. Heal soon and Godspeed to you. You are one hell of a sniper! I remember the game that you halted the advance of those US troops long he tree line at Eversley very well. I'll ratatatat a few extra imperialists for you with the RPK at the Namsoft game. Seriously mate, take care of yourself and we all hope to see you (and your fellow Worthing Massive soon). I say this despite Mrs THP being introduced to the green gas M10/11 by Glynn. She'd only just been bought a CYMA AK74SYU, yet raved about the rate of fire of the compact GBB rif. More bloody expense... Worth it if it makes a loved one smile though. It's what it's all about.... Best wishes from all of us.

  15. I'm guessing site owners and insurers wouldn't allow it due to the increased fire risk. Yes disposable pyro and BFGs can and have started small fires on sites, but when something sends sparks out over a bigger area that risk increases

    Dynatex 6209 vs Quake 8

They do get beat up, it's a chunk of metal you're throwing around after all. The Swat VTG has a rubberised plastic around it and this still picks up nicks/dings when thrown. The OhShiBooms are nice because they can take 9mm and 12Gauge (if your site allows them). 12Gauge are kinda pointless as 12G blanks are not much louder than 9mm (only difference is pitch in my ears) and give off a puff of smoke vs 9mm blanks which don't. However, they're hilariously expensive compared to .209 and 9mm which makes them extra pointless. There was a guy who used to make 'magflash' 12G blanks which give off a shower of sparks with a flash but he stopped a while ago as far as i'm aware.

    Dynatex 6209 vs Quake 8

I used to own a 6209. Used the quake 8. Dynatex any day of the week. They are built better, used by military for training and just keep going. The quakes are a clone of the alphatec hex (which was utter garbage) and had loads of drama around it. Mind you when didn't alpha one have drama around it.

Haven't posted here in a long time, I'll restart with this Scored a steel version Bear Paw SVU GBB a while ago and wanted something special in regards of optics for it. Looked around a bit and finally got my hands on a rare 1P21 scope - very large russian scope that has been used on the SVD. I'm not sure if any of these have ever been used on the real SVU, standard for this was the PSO-1 scope. It's also not possible to mount large scope mounts like the one of the 1P21 on an SVU without disassembling it, as these are pushed onto the side rail from the rear, which can't be done on the SVU. I usually try to go more or less authentic, but here I didn't care - it just looks so nicely badass 😋 Bearpaw OTs-03 SVU steel version with realsteel 1P21:

  37. What can you get these days for £20? Bag of 0.32's? Half a five guys burger? Today I landed two boneyard pistols. For a score. One is a valken avp17. (Silver one) Gbb pistol of questionable looks but hey, same as me really. It wouldn't rack. Couldn't get the topslide off. Turns out to be two filthy bb's jammed in the topslide release mechanism. Cleaned, unjammed and now hoping 0.28's happily.😁 0.7j. Second one is a SAI BLU AEP Electric Pistol (MOSFET – by Cyma – CM135UP). Yup. That's a mouthful. Never had an aep. New experience for me. Has a dodgy connection somewhere inside but managed to get a few shots into the Chrono. Probably needs 0.2's as 0.5j is a bit meh. Not a fan of the gold shiney bits either. Strange sensation aep's, aren't they? 😂😂 Anyway. Pics.

But consider that the sniper who hit you from a distance saw the hit even if it had the impact of a tap on the shoulder. Don't be the one that the marshalls have a quiet word with. 🙂 Regards

  46. I'll take the bait. 1J of energy is 1J of energy, it doesn't matter if it's fired from an AEG, GBB, HPA or springer, it's still 1J of energy. I've seen teeth shattered from 1J hits at 30 metres, I've had BB shards get into in my eye the last time I used mesh (the gun was a stock TM recoil, so 0.8J) from 30 metres. HPA doesn't sting more than AEG given the energy output is the same, if you think so then I suggest to read a physics book of your choice.

  47. Its more a case of they are upset, why would someone persistently report youtubers, especially when there are people who go all out to destroy someone's ability to speak within the terms of freedom of speech and have taken their viewpoint from what they read that someone else called them..? Take that Andrew Tate guy, never heard of him until the kerfuffle and he had all his social media as well as bank accounts shut down... then all the rabid feminists were posting about him being a woman hatine misogynistic woman abuser over a youtube video of a comment he was supposedly have made. Same thing has happened to many other youtubers and it all centers around feminists getting wind up their duffs about what they thought someone said as they were offended. As someone who has been to university and taken psychology, found that the classes that the (majority enrolled on that course) women would not turn up to a second or subsequent lecture when certain topics were discussed. I found it very revealing as to the nature of women who do not like to hear facts but prefer to live in the land of unicorns and rainbows of their own truths (reality). Move on some 15 years and here we are with a pandemic of cancellations and people being harassed over things that they said 30 years ago by same feminists who are angry at something, mostly aimed towards men. My Ex went loopy when our son said he wanted to play airsoft, most recently she has glued one of his guns up and this seemed to follow on from a resurgence over guns, gun crime and feminists hollering for tighter gun controls and abolishing sports where guns are used. So rather than trying to surmise things you know nothing about myself as "revealing", I'd suggest you drill down into the phenomena that keeps on surfacing as I have noticed a pattern, have you? I think that you would be surprised at the facts. In the Airgun world, there has recently been changes that have resulted in the requirement for airgun owners to obtain gun cabinets, I wonder when the screaming banshees will be demanding that airsofters have gun cabinets too.....

  48. I haven't used it in that context though. I am not a right winger either. Fact that I started with a friend a political party back in 2009 that put the wind up the tories says something. We disbanded after 2 years as it was mission accomplished, we achieved our aims only the tories stole a couple of ideas that they cut out the bits that they didn't like and perverted into the abominations that they are today, namely UC and Health Care Reforms which were intended to provide relief and catch all for those who need it, they didn't carry through the harsher proposals on employers but did the reverse, made it easier for employers to shit on you... Anyway, getting back to the subject... Doing daily battle with said persons and firing reality bombs in their direction, they do tend to get wounded easily. You only have to utter the slightest word of support for well known figures and instantly you are met with barrages of abuse and other expletives. So snowflakes it is, if they are offended by that it only upholds the argument that they are fragile individuals unable to cope with the daily rigours and reality of daily life.
