  4. A few things, to be sure... Getting my m40a3 stock for one of my KJW m700 and adjustable m700 bolt from Evike (it's in country and I've filled out the declaration form, but delivery date keeps shifting!) for a fairly unique build, because who runs a gas m40a3 these days? Especially if I can get it running at both 1.1J and 2.3J depending on bolt setup and gas used Doing a mostly real-steel tacticool MWS CQB build, getting more gas mp9 magazines and putting together a full CQB kit, since all of my loadouts at the moment tend towards lightweight recce setups. Will be good to have a door-kicker loadout too. September Namsoft, as well as next year's Namsoft at Gunman. The latter I'm hoping to actually be fitter for since the last Namsoft was a kick in the balls and there's only so much I can do in a few months Getting a driving license so that I can go to different sites every now and then Mopping up the last of my debts so I can justify buying a Vortex scope or two or three or four... Got my eye on the hog hunter with that massive 56mm objective lens and I want like... 3 of them, as well as an LPVO and maybe a red dot I'm quite a positive person when it comes to airsoft, since there's already enough negativity going around thanks to social media and how the algorithms work.

  5. Looking forward to heading a bit further afield to try new sites. Now that my boy has taken up the hobby, social and sporting calendar permitting, it's a great opportunity for father and son road trips. Be great to meet some of you fine folks too. Also looking forward to making another MWS build at some point.

  6. If it helps..... this is the kind of abuse a Vortex Sparc will survive and function after. https://www.recoilweb.com/vortex-sparc-ii-the-dot-that-would-not-die-67267.html

  7. Nope , Chris and Eddie at CSW who handle all U.K. claims are absolute top guys to deal with , I’ve never heard a bad word other than from those who send in clones thinking they are genuine and don’t get them back 😝

  8. Two things about Vortex scopes: 1) Increased likelihood of survival, as they are well built 2) Doesn't matter if they survive, as they will replace/repair ANY damage for free, forever. I was talking to a UK rep for Vortex about the warranty and they have one single instruction from the parent company - they're only happy if the customer is happy. Now that is a good warranty.

Custom ground-up built Hi Capa 5.1. No stock parts at all, a lot of time and effort has gone into making this work perfectly. It originally came to me not working, but all issues have been sorted, and upgraded parts fitted. Everything that should be metal is either Steel, Aluminium or Brass, no more zinc! It is not perfect externally, it does have a few marks here and there as it was skirmished by previous owner, but that just means it’s ready to be used again! Firing at 320fps. Parts list: Lower: Airsoft Masterpiece (AM) Aluminium Grip with AM parts (magwell, main spring housing, mag release) Guarder aluminium Frame Cowcow aluminium trigger Steel trigger bar AM Steel Beavertail Safety KF Steel Ambi Safety KF Steel Slide Stop AM Steel Grip Screws AM Steel Hammer AM Steel Hammer Strut AM Steel Main Sear AM Steel Valve Knocker LaCapa Steel Firing Pin LaCapa Steel Disconnector “lightning” AM Leaf Spring AIP Valve Knocker Spring Upper: Guarder Aluminium Springfield Slide (Cerekote/Silver polished) Steel Outer Barrel AIP Front & Rear fibre sights AIP Steel sight screws AM Steel Guide Rod LaCapa Duralumin Guide Plug (rainbow) - can be changed to silver if needed AIP Aluminium hammer pad AM Brass Hop Unit Maple Leaf 70 Autobot Hop Rubber Elite Steel 6.02 113mm Barrel Guarder Aluminium Lightweight BBU Guarder Reinforced Nozzle Waldo Customs Steel Nozzle Spring The only mystery is what recoil and hammer springs are fitted, I went though a lot during testing and lost track of what’s in there! 1 Tokyo Marui mag included that has a very nice Limcat aluminium base plate on. Can also come with more mags if needed. Will also come in a hard pistol case. £550 posted, or collected from Swindon.

  11. This. Also I can see sites banning them if they're too loud. Yes we can use bfgs with 9mm blanks but with something like this it'll be going off way more often so the chances of it doing damage to someone's hearing is far higher

  12. I'll see if the manufacturer states a shore number. Hadn't thought about that to be honest. It's currently in my mk23/vsr Frankengun so it'll be a while before I get it up and running properly. Proof as you say, will be in the shooting.😂

  19. Guys. I would like to give a BIG Shout out to Colin Allen, I had a problem with my 1911 Cybergun, my favourite pistol, it had stopped working and was losing all the gas, Colin was the first to answer my question and also followed it up by personal messages with explanation of what to do to fix it and how to do it, its wonderful finding guys like Colin who go out of their way to help others, It is a wonderful site with some great guys, Thanks again Colin. All the Best John

  20. Ran my MP5SD for the first time today. Love it. The fps is a touch low but it throws TM perfect hit .25s like lasers. As a side note, damn but the claw mount is more comfortable to use than the low type mounts with a comp m2 style sight.

  21. As silly as it might sound, I'm just looking forward to going again. I used to play twice a week (over the weekend) and sometimes on a Thursday night in my early-mid 20's, but then marriage, house and kids happened. Before lockdown, I stopped going and probably played once a year. I put on some weight over lockdown and I went last year and I was just exhausted. I skipped the last game and it felt like a drag. It was really demotivating and I lost all interest. Fast forward to this year and Im now 2 stone lighter. I went twice last month and I got seriously bitten by it again. The weight loss helped massively and I was able to run around again and had a blast. I keep thinking about going again and plotting in my head about what guns to take, what kit to wear, what changes I can make to my loadout to make it easier and more efficient. I wont be able to play regulalrly like i used to because of shifts, kids etc & I don't think I'll be able to go again until mid September but I am so excited for it!

  25. Yep - I had a Gamo PCP (Venari). Moved onto an HW110 and I've just bought an AirArms S500 and the tactical platform chassis (yes that's a PTS stock as a placeholder) Struggling to find anything fun or exciting in Airsoft at the moment. I'm spending most of my spare time at the moment fussing over pellet choices and my 25m Benchrest scores. If it wasn't for my boys - I would consider moving on from Airsoft altogether. As it is, my youngest is 10 - so hasn't even played yet - but is absolutely desperate to play alongside me and his older brothers. So I keep going.

  26. @HuttArmouriesLooks like a Wraith PDW stock to me - minus the carbon cheek piece. Where the tank screws into the rear of the receiver is the regulator. there should be a pressure adjustment screw. Hopefully this manual should cover it for you: https://www.wolverineairsoft.com/files/documentation/WRAITH Aero %26 PDW Owner's Manual.pdf

  30. For the hop rubber you want to control two things, the area coverage or geometry, and the shore hardness of the material, and more is not better because there is a thing as too much hop, especially for middle weight BBs, because for example if you put in an R-hop it is usually too much for say sub-0.3s. The silicone moulding method will definitely give you similar coverage and geometry with any other R-hop, and maybe if you know the specs of your silicone you can control the shore hardness. If done right I can see this performing on par with R-hop, but probably not better, and it is only really useful for heavier BBs, just like R-hop. The only advantage is perhaps better air seal, but silicone applied on regular rubbers (outside) will achieve the air seal also so this is not a big deal. So my opinion is, this seems too much work for little to no real performance gain, but maybe your testing will prove otherwise.

  31. I see. That seems incredibly annoying. my $50 Xcortech from Amazon handles full-auto anything just fine, so I'd assumed sites would at least have a chrono that functions as well as my plasticky thing from the A.

  32. My man, it's not the piston that's the problem, it's the build design. As others have stated, PME is your issue. Mild PME to be specific, which is why it's eating your piston and sector and not destroying the rack. This is a common issue. However, the correct fix is not to short stroke, as it messes up timing in DSGs unless done extremely carefully, but to increase your spring power, shorten your barrel, and possibly play with the cylinder porting until you hit the correct balance. I can't read your parts list (a little blurry for my eyes), but if you can drop a list of the motor, gear ratio, piston weight, barrel length, etc, I can give you an idea of where to go. A well-built DSG will be just as durable (or even more durable) than an SSG. It just has to be built differently, and sometimes more carefully, than an SSG of similar joule output. The increased rate of fire causes the illusion of decreased durability, but in actuality a badly built SSG and badly built DSG will both crap themselves.

  36. To be fair, an organisation that doesnt charge for its use or for that matter be particularly overbearing with engagement (as evidenced by my penny pinching self having thorougjly forgotten i'd signed up) it's hard to care that much about what they do. Yes in principle a single unified body representing our hobby sounds like exactly what we need, ultimately many folks simply dont notice or care the "on the ground" effect and thus are unlikely to give a monkeys if #3457 of their 10000+ strong email spam list are or are not in breach of their constitution. Until ukapu gets the widespread site engagement that means you'd realistically notice and care for a ukapu approval notice on their webpage then the majority of players are unlikely to care so deeply for how its run. Having left the hobby precisely because of a lack of consistent good management amongst the sites i have access to it seems obvious to me that what this sport needs is not government lobbying or annual general meetings, but a widespread network of sites that agree with a real world noticable effect on performing duties such as marshalling, good chronograph practice and site bans that not only stick at the sites that initated them but at others in their region. But alas we're stuck with sites that ask "what size bb's are you using?" With no real effort to understanding the effects of joule creep or for that matter the difference between joules and velocity measurements despite it being something anyone with a gcse in physics should at least understand the implications of even if they remain ignorant of the factors that cause it. Hell even when explained something as simple as "you can put a cable tie on most hpa regulators, here's how you do it *cable ties his own regulator to demonstrate*" or "you know you can can just print the site fps limit of various common bb weights and sellotape it on the back of the chono" is largely ignored with at best a token effort to ask what weight of bb's a player is running

  37. When they've got close to £20k precariously sitting in a PayPal balance, and this election is supposed to help fix a lot of the issues covered in this post, yes it is. When a Constitution is the only thing that binds an unincorporated association, because they have no independent legal personality, then absolutely it matters. The fact that you "don't give a shit" and are arrogant enough to try and speak for others, just shows how ignorant and nonchalant you are in this matter -- so your feeble attempt at condescending tripe, really doesn't matter. Clearly you've never been involved in running such orgs, or you wouldn't be so flippant - but evidently you just had to jump in and have your little dig. Hope you think you're such a big, strong man for barking orders and saying your spiel 🙄 - I know I don't.

    Belt kit HPA tank

This is my second go a getting it on a belt - the main issue is its size and itll top over if not supported well. This is an idogear pouch - i'll find the type later - fitted to my TT_belts err belt. I've added some kydex strips in the molle and this passes all the way through the belt loops as well. Seems to make it very rigid and its also doesn't seem to lean over like my previous one did. That's a 48ci bottle and balystix reg just fits in there nicely. The position ends up resting on my left butt cheek, and you can feel it there but at no point on sundays game did it feel awkward or distracting

    Belt kit HPA tank

Sorry @Dac76, for to my Tippmann still not quite skirmish ready (mostly due to me not being able to see well enough with contact lenses / goggles to attempt fine adjustments on small components on the range), I didn't test the bottle in the pouch in battle conditions. I do suspect weight will be an issue, the back of my belt is already sagging with the spare BBs I carry at the back. (I have lost some weight, now slightly less fat... maybe I just need to tighten everything up)

  47. Just came back from a weekend of Gunman 'Namsoft up at Eversley Alpha and it reminded me why I do airsoft and why I love this hobby so much. Got a lift up with the usual pair I go airsofting with, one of whom is a pretty avid camper so it was as comfortable as it really could be camping in the woods and ended up having a great time. Met up with a bunch of people, old and new faces alike, and we ended up camping next to our resident @Tactical Pith Helmet and his family. However, it was a good time in a strange way because I didn't actually play much. I had rampant anxiety on the Friday night as Friday was a sweaty day due to the heat, having a wander around the site to get the lay of the land etc, and my mind was constantly like "hey, your heart could start doing its weird stuff again" even though I'm pretty damn confident I solved that problem. This meant I didn't get a wink of sleep and thus I couldn't play on the Saturday as I was absolutely drained as soon as I got out there, then on the Sunday I realised that being 20kg heavier (again, this was caused by my heart thing earlier in the year) and wearing pretty heavy, thick, all black kit in this weekend's weather was a recipe for disaster. I just... couldn't play, no matter how much I wanted to. It was truly disappointing! "So how was it a good time?" I hear you ask. Well, the social side was fantastic. I absolutely loved chatting with everyone, talking k98s with TPH and just seeing airsoft how it should be played, and I'm not talking about the filmsim roleplay parts; there wasn't rampant cheating, or people throwing their toys out the pram (too much) or people yelling about getting overshot. It was just a good weekend of BB wars and I was all for it. Also Josh, the organiser and owner of Gunman, is a joy to be around. That man has boundless energy and always loves for his games to just be a good time. I'm not the biggest roleplayer, for example, but that's never been a problem. As long as my kit looks good and my weapons are period-accurate, I'm never made to feel unwelcome just because I don't yell "GO HOME GI" at the top of my lungs (though it was very amusing for the otherwise silent forest to be punctuated by such yells that I could hear across the entire site while I was trying to sneak up on people). Fun parts where I actually played were fun though. I left my guns in our regen and took a radio that I tucked into my trousers, heading to a US-held area. I told them I needed to pass through the village and they searched me, but they didn't find the radio so I headed on through and... proceeded to relay their numbers and positions to my fellow freedom fighters. Then on the Sunday I managed to stalk through the bushes and take out four Americans with just a pistol by shooting and then moving. However, my 1911... in the words of Darth Vader, "you have failed me for the last time..." It just wasn't performing great, even though it was perfect weather for gas pistols. I've tried to make it good, but this was the last chance I was giving it, so moving forward I will run the AAP (it's converted to a Ruger .22) and the mac11 as a backup secondary (since the mac10 was used and they look the same, just slightly smaller) The really good things that came out of the weekend were: Social Josh being Josh Reinforcement that my heart thing is solved because it didn't happen on any night and every day was full of stuff that would've normally set it off, just my mind was telling me "oh but it could" all through Friday night Top quality airsoft for the 2 hours I played Learned that I need to revisit my kit for Nam games to make it a bit more practical Gave me a kick up the backside to lose weight and get fitter I'll let Mr. TPH give you a more accurate rundown of how the games went, but even from the perspective of me, a person who had basically everything conspire to stop me from playing, the weekend was fantastic and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
