I must ask the question, if you hate it (Marmite) so much why do you want your mind changed? It is actually contains some vitamins that are hard to source, lasts eons, is quick and easy to 'dish' up. Cant go wrong with classic Marmite and butter on toast!2 points

"Mosfet" covers a wide range of things. Specna Arms EDGE and I think now all the CORE models have a very basic mosfet that just offers trigger protection and better current flow. If you go up to the Specna Arms EDGE 2.0 models, or the Double Eagle M9xx, then you'll get a fire control system with a lot more options like burst modes. If that's what you're after, then those are the two that I'd suggest. They also have decent hop units and quick change springs so you can fine tune the power easily, and both of them have Deans connectors. The Double Eagles are a bit cheaper, although at the moment it's a case of buying whatever's in stock. Or the S65, e.g. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/4389182 points -
Booking ends at midnight....
Speedbird_666 and one other reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
I haven't been for 14 years and don't intend to for several reasons. The main ones being: Cheating. The amount of people ignoring hits is rediculous, especially on the Sunday. The "safe zone" didn't feel that safe. I saw hardly anyone clear their guns before leaving the game area and the number of people walking round with the safety off and a finger on the trigger I'm surprised there hasn't been an incident yet. Yes the mags were out, but that doesn't mean there isn't 1 up the spout. Cost. 2 days of mediocre (at best) for double the cost of 2 normal skirmish days is a piss take Camping. There's always at least one dickhead who won't keep the noise down or thinks it's funny to set off a bfg in the early hours of the morning. That, or a subtle admission that, despite all those years in the hobby, they're unwilling or unable to run a half decent game As I understand it this is due to peat soils which can easily catch fire and spread underground As for their booking closing at midnight, both times I went they were supposedly fully booked but were still taking money and allowing players to just turn up.2 points -
NUPROL 60W Smart Charger how to use
Shamal and one other reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Nuprol make nothing, they just add their stickers to other companies products and add a chunk onto the RRP for the privilege. Here is a manual for the same charger, with another sticker/logo on it. https://www.overlander.co.uk/pub/media/downloads/VSRmini_Manual_V3.pdf Your settings for this battery will be: LiPo Balance Charge 1.4A 7.4v (2S) Your battery has a mini-tamiya Connector - which won't work with this charger unless you buy an adapter. Once you receive said adapter, you will need to de-pin the wires on the mini-tamiya end (using a pin or the inside of a biro inner ink tube) and swap them over, reversing polarity for Airsoft use. Once reversed, plug the yellow end into the yellow socket on the charger, connect the battery to the adapter's mini-tamiya connector, and the balance lead on the battery into the balance port on the charger. Start charging and away you go. The charger will beep when it's finished, generally around an hour depending on how good the balance logic is and the condition of your LiPo's cells. Really important - Never, ever, charge unattended. LiPo fires are not something to be taken lightly. I have seen garages and bedrooms gutted by LiPo fires local to me. It's very rare, but you don't want to set a battery on charge, pop out for 10minutes, and come back to your house burning down. There are safety products, such as LiPo bags, to use while you are charging if you want some piece of mind.2 points -

Davegolf reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
lemme guess- running out of bolt space? you can sortof get away with running a longer bolt. it's not perfect, but it would work if you aren't pushing for speed, but given the motor that's gonna be driving it along i'd be tempted to get it a bit further back (so the full face of the tooth is hitting the full face of the piston). listens to the distant reee-ing of negative airsoft usually i'd be against just blanket dropping sorbo into a gun as often it can end up over-correcting, but given the aoe seems to need a bit more than the usual spacing it may well be called for here.1 point -

Super-general-purpose do-everything mag pouches...?
Lozart reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
sentences i never thought i'd write: just embrace the convenience of pushing things through the sphincter when you need to dump, and make sure it closes up relatively tight so you don't go accidentally dropping anything..... as for the mag pouches it's always a balance, the speediboi stuff comes at risk of retention or in this case lack of specialization, more basic pouches aren't going to be as fast to access but on the flip side your mag is at least going to be there when you need it.1 point -

Rogerborg reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
for short stroking removing the release teeth isn't really necessary, it's just something people like doing for neatness but outside a fractional weight saving it doesn't actually make a difference. for aoe it'll depend on how everything goes together, but as long as it's picking up smooth without clipping any teeth then it's good.1 point -

Quick Questions & Simple Answers.
RostokMcSpoons reacted to Lozart for a topic
Can't help on stock levels but as far as LiPo for RC and LiPo for Airsoft...no. No difference. RC ones may be of slightly higher quality, if they have Tamiya connectors they'll be opposite polarity. Otherwise, a 2 cell, 7.4v LiPo is a 2 cell 7.4v LiPo whether it says RC or Airsoft on the side.1 point -

I remember when these and WA were the only 1911 style pistols. Pre hi-capa and WE days. But WA were too nice to skirmish and JAC too expensive. So i went with a KSC USP compact, and loved it (around 2002-2003 i think)1 point -

If only that was the worst thing Paras had done. Shortly before my Falklands Tour in 2016/17 they were kicked off Mount Pleasant Base for basically creating a ghetto in the accommodation and jumping out of ceiling voids and mugging their fellow soldiers. Fucking animals. But you would want them in a scrap.1 point -

I got into airsoft guns pre-VCRA, because I like guns. The shop where I bought my model aeroplanes sold a LOT of airsoft pistols which is where I got my first one (a NBB TM Desert Eagle). That shop closed down but a comic/model shop opened up and they were selling airsoft guns too. So I bought a TM SPAS (like you do). Me and my mate that shared a house used to use our guns to run around the house shooting each other when were drunk! Skirmishing came quite a bit later when a buddy of mine persuaded us to go to The Mall. And the rest is (expensive) history!1 point
