  2. Managed to re use an old plug and solder a longer length of wire to it, whilst I was at it I threaded it through the handguard and also made my Unity button into a momentary switch as I prefer that to on/off. Had to disassemble the tiny button and basically super glued the 2 'clicky' parts together to remove the function and make it permanently momentary. If you ever wondered how clicky pens worked as a kid and took them apart to find out like me, It's the same mechanism. 😂

  4. Evening all. I'm hoping someone with experience of both versions of this gun can tell me the feasibility of my plan. Heads up, it's a bit niche. 😄 What I want: The full auto (metal slide) version, with a metal frame, with no under rail, that takes the full auto CO2 mags. The problems I have: I have 2 full auto versions with 10 mags. They have metal slides and plastic bodies, with a riveted under rail. I ordered two metal bodies which never came. What did come from that order was 1 green gas magazine... which doesn't fit the full autos. This has led me to believe that at least one metal frame is incompatible with my full auto slides. Is this the case? Why the **** am I doing this? Because I have a Deadpool cosplay and the holsters are sculpted to fit his Desert Eagles that have a railed barrel like the XIX but no under rail. I don't particularly want to drill the rail rivets out and would much prefer to replace the entire plastic frame with a metal one. Hopefully that makes sense. Apologies it's a bit specific but I was on the cusp of buying two full metal semi-auto versions, just for the frames, when that magazine mis-fit gave me pause. Included is a pic of DPs gun. I want that, but full auto, full metal, CO2 powered. Can it be done? Cheers in advance

  6. Built this up last week , all stock TM internals apart from an upgraded recoil spring and it was running ok but the nozzle return couldn’t keep up , and the hop rubber (original , estimated at 10yr old ) was gash , fitted a maple leaf inner & hop rubber and a nozzle return spring from an AAP01 and it’s running like a boss . New gas routers and mag valves on the way too so hopefully it’ll make a reliable warm weather plinker . And just for picture porns sake , 😛 hello , you replied while I was replying with the Sig the Beretta is a TM in a Guarder kit , original finish and modified pachmayr grips ( not by me , the front section has been cut out , rear section not installed) they’d normally come like this

  16. Double Eagle B&T ACP 556 let’s start off with a little real steel history about the B&T APC. Brugger and Thomet from Switzerland also known as B&T produced the first Advanced Police Carbine (APC) in 9mm in 2011 followed shortly by other small arms calibre’s in .40 S&W, 10mm auto and .45 ACP. They have been awarded a contract with the US Army to provide the ACP9K for a reported $2.6 million dollars. Around 2019 B&T started to sell the ACP556 which is a 5.56mm version of the smaller 9mm ACP. The ACP556 can be bought with 4 different styled stocks and a couple of different barrel lengths. All use standard Stanag 5.56mm magazines and can be fitted with various rail accessories on the picatinny rails covering the gun. Moving on to the Airsoft version produced by Double Eagle and licensed from B&T we have a pretty accurate AEG with full trades. The features include a Falcon gearbox with built in mosfet (the same gearbox in their DE904 range which I reviewed a while back), 6.04mm tightbore barrel, quick change spring and comes with the PDW style retractable stock. The AEG is full metal apart from the polymer lower, stock butt pad and the side mounted picatinny rails on the front sides of the AEG. Most of the metal seems to be aluminium and die cast zinc. With an empty magazine attached the AEG weighs about 2.9kg (6.4lbs) so not heavy weight or lightweight either. I’ll talk about the box that the ACP is shipped in first before moving on to the actual AEG. The box is quite a nice little addition. It’s made from polystyrene and is foam lined. Inside the box you actually get a couple of handles to fit to the outside and it turns into quite a nice little carry case. It’s very light and unlikely to survive getting run over by a tank but I’d like to see other manufacturers doing something similar. The box ever has 4 catches to keep the box closed and these work well. Inside the box you will find the AEG, a copy of the B&T magazine and in this case a 180bb midcap. You will also find some paperwork telling you how to program the mosfet, attached the handles to the case and an exploded diagram of all the parts of the AEG. Also inside the box is the handles for the box plus a screwdriver to use to fit them, a deans to mini-tamiya converter, a spare deans for your battery and an Allen key. Let’s not forget the cleaning rod. Lets move on to the AEG itself. It has no creaks, wobbles or loose bits but lets start from the muzzle and work back. The flash hider is zinc cast and attached to the aluminium barrel with a -14mm thread and held in place with a grub screw that needs a 1.5mm allen key to remove. Once removed you can see that the inner barrel extends to the end of the outer barrel. The fake gas plug rotates 90 degrees’, just like the real thing if you were running a suppressor and if you rotate it 180 degree’s it can be removed from the gun. This serves no real purpose and I think DE missed a trick here as they could have had a 4.5mm Allen key in the end of the rod to remove the cap for the quick-change spring. The upper receiver is full metal and has picatinny rails along the whole top length, the whole lower portion before it meets the lower receiver, and the sides have plastic picatinny rails attached. The Iron sights are a copy of the B&T sights and move in elevation on the front and windage on the real as per the real thing. The rear also has 2 apertures for day/low light shooting The charging handle or cocking handle, whatever you prefer to call it, is swappable from left to right side. When pulled back the bolt locks in place to allow the rotary hop wheel to be adjusted and can be released by the ambi bolt lock. The magazine release and fire selector controls are also ambi. The fire selector controls have nice solid click to them when moved and the shape reminds me of the G36 fire controls. The upper and lower receiver have authentic markings, just like the real thing and there seems to be a serial number printed on the lower handguard but I’m not sure if this is unique. The lower receiver is solid and comfortable to hold and all the controls are within finger or thumb control. The pistol grip houses the motor and has a brass adjustment screw in the bottom if you feel the need to adjust the motor height. Moving to the back of the AEG we have the sliding stock and battery storage. The sliding stock is one of the 4 styles that can come with the real ACP556 and works very well. There is very little wobble when fully extended and can be pulled out with one hand and locked into 1 of the 3 available positions. The battery compartment is a nice touch. You press a lever on the back of the receiver and the cover flips up to reveal the battery compartment and the quick-change spring location. Inside is a deans connector and I have fitted a 11.1v Lipo inside without issues. The quick change spring is covered by a cap that needs to be removed using a 4.5mm Allen key and this allows the bearing spring guide to be removed using a flat headed screwdriver. Once removed you can swap out the spring for your desired FPS. Moving onto using the AEG I’ll mention first that mine is firing hot. I’ve got a M90, M95 and M100 winging their way to me now so that I can find the best spring to get it firing sub 350 FPS. I’m a bit of a fan-boy for the Falcon gearbox and this AEG is no exception. It fires really nice with a 11.1V Lipo and it has the same programmable settings which I raved about in the DE904 review. If you missed that review then out the box it has 3 trigger pull settings, variable burst settings (1 to 5 rounds or full auto) and has a Binary trigger. A binary trigger is when you pull the trigger backwards it fires and when you release the trigger it fires again. You don’t need any fancy boxes or app’s to set it up as it’s all done by the trigger. I’ve put a few magazines through the AEG now (more on magazines in a sec) and it hasn’t missed a beat. If you have used the DE904 then it’s basically one of those but in a different shell. I’m pretty happy with it to be honest and I’ll test out the range and accuracy with weekend. The Hop unit seems to be a plastic copy of the Pro-Win CNC hop up and works well. The hop rubber seems to be a cut down version so if you want to replace it you will need to remove some of the replacement to fit properly inside the hop unit. The inner barrel is 318mm long, with a 6.04mm inner diameter and has a conical cut in the last 10/15 mm of the sharp end of the barrel. I haven’t decided if I’m going to replace the hop rubber and inner barrel and this weekend I’ll see if they need to be swapped out. Okay, time to move on to the one negative I could find on this AEG. It’s not massive but needs to be mentioned. I’ve tried 11 different magazine makes/types and 8 work flawlessly, 1 takes a bit of fiddling to seat correctly but then works and 2 of them don’t stay in the magwell. The 2 that don’t work are midcaps. One is a PMAG with a capacity of around 85 and the other is a Midcap with a capacity of 120 rounds. Other midcaps fit and work perfectly. Strangly, I have a 85 midcap which looks exactly like the 120 midcap and it works and fits fine unlike the 120 version. I need to do a bit of measuring to figure it out, but I think it’s to do with the hop unit nozzle pushing down on the magazine and stopping the mag catch from engaging. For me, it’s not an issue as I have plenty of magazines that work in the AEG but you need to consider this if you think about buying one as you might need to buy some more magazines if the ones you have don’t work. I’ll add some more info to this review once I’ve used it in anger this weekend. Overall I’m happy with this AEG and it stands out from the M4 crowd.

Aside something to carry hydration as we venture into the, what should be, warmer months alongside a can of gas and I’m pretty set 😊. P.S. A picture of just some glasses and a dump pouch is decidedly boring so I went with some artist licence.

I didn’t bud Reason being that I ordered in plenty of time to receive the item for when I need them. The extra week delay on there part will be cutting things fine 😬 The postage charge was already £25, so to pay for “express” negated any savings, so I could have ordered from Amazon for the same money. I’d rather give the business to a retailer not Amazon Does the express charge just mean they go to the post office sooner with your order? Lol

    AUG-16 Jing Gong

Aug safety is a mechanical trigger lockout. If it's defective it means the bar either in wrong, or it's been modified. New bar is less than £10, and can be had from a few sites, Fire support have them for £9. Provided the gun is shooting in semi and full auto on the correct trigger position then it should be a drop in replacement, If the Trigger linkage has been modified for a shorter trigger pull then the safety will be compromised and there can be no guarantees it'll ever be right again without converting back. Not something that's easy as the linkages can not be bought. The flat spring is commonly lost resulting is a safe bar that drop out, again you need the full replacement as I have never seen the springs sold separately. https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/asg-15909-au-17-steyr-aug-aeg-fire-selector The model isn't an AUG 16, It's an AUG 1G. Can be had for about £130 new.

  25. My clone B6 has behaved impeccably for years. I can get a whole day out of a 1000mAh LiPo no worries with the gun set to single shot burst. Stick with 7.4s. I use 1500s for most games, the cheapest on Evilbay. I tend to charge everything in a lipo bag, in my line of sight. Standard NiMhs are shite in comparison.

  28. Unless the grip is substantially thicker at the top, could you retain the existing motor shaft length, but shove it further up into the grip by packing underneath it? It seems like this might be more secure than introducing shoogliness (my word for the day) by putting in a longer shafted motor that may have more of its length inside the grip than its stock spring is intended to tension. Top quality enginenerding diagram, illustrating how you might be able to bodge it for the cost of a bit of dowel. You could test the theory by taking the end off the grip and shoving the existing motor right in by hand (well, by thumb) to see if it'll engage (in Minecraft, obviously, never do this to a real high quality airsoft replica, you'll 100% shred your gears and open a rift in the space time continuum). If so, you'll just / "just" need to get it pushed that far in by packing under it.

  34. The challenge with any kind of reform, is that generally reform means further limitations. They've recently just banned MARS and lever release rifles even though a) they have never been involved in crime and b)they have never been involved in crime. Literally any further legislation will be used to take more classes of firearms away from us. It's a shame the firearms community is such a disorganised, compartmentalised shower of shit when it comes to defending itself.

You must take in to consideration theirs a good few older players on here who grew up in the “sticks’n’stones may break my bones etc etc” era so the concept of ‘passive aggressive’ or god forbid the ultimate transgression off ‘OFFENDING SOMEONE !’ Is just a load of bollox to us lot and our outlook has always been “just grow a set and move on” talk on the internet has no value , if you don’t like what someone says ? Ignore them and move on . End of the day it’s like @Tacklesaid just block the ones you don’t like and if someone’s not happy with the way a thread is going leave it and comeback in a couple of days when the next ‘in-depth heated discussion’ occurs ? 😉

  44. <them-feels-bro.png> We know, it's ridiculous. Particularly when air guns that look identical to either the real steel and the airsoft version can be bought and sold without any sort of loicence or defence; or you can buy a two-tone airsoft IF plus a rattle-can of matt black from Poundland if you have stick-'em-up intent and don't know that air guns exist. Given the attitudes to anything remotely gun related, and the gradual legislative creep towards prohibited-by-default and prove-your-innocence, it's a wonder that we're still permitted any of the above. I'm just enjoying it while it lasts, and It's not rocket surgery to find ways around the UKARA wait.

  45. Yes, that'll work just fine. I'd suggest 60 degree rather than 70 (maybe even 50). When you replace them, could you please have a look at your stock bucking and see if it's flat hopped (no internal mound)? I reckon mine was but I binned it off into the Pile-O-Parts in favour of a Maple Leaf without even checking so I can't be 100% sure. The stock Specna rotary hops are decent enough, being effectively the same as the ZCI plastic units. I honestly can't see the benefit to going to a Maxx hop unless it's a tracer unit.

    Forum Rules

Anyone not cohering with these rules will face a suspension, ban or deletion of their account, this includes all posts and topics. The Guidelines • Search There is a search feature on this forum that will help you to find information that may have already been posted up. Often people experience very similar problems so the chances are that your question has already been answered is highly likely. Regulars to the forums will usually be aware if your question has already been answered several times before, so some may become annoyed you didn't use the search feature. There is a three character minimum length for searching, i.e. MP5, hpa, fps. Try using different search terms to get more results. • Giving advice Give solid advice only if you are sure what you are talking about. Don't mislead people as at best you are risking their money, and at worst, you are risking their safety. It's much better to say your only guessing and let others add to your answer than to lead the person into doing something wrong, and coming back and pointing the finger at you. • Post in the appropriate sub-forums If you want to chat about the latest Airsoft releases, do it in "Latest News". If you are new to the forums and want to ask a question, it might be best in the "Advice & Technical Help" forum. If you want to sell something, the "Classifieds" forums are the place to announce it. Basically, have a look at all the categories and post where you think your topic will be best suited. • Use descriptive titles for new topics Posting a topic with the title "Look here!", or "Please help", will not attract the attention of the users. If you use titles like "JG G36C gearbox problem", or "New gun from ICS!", more people will view your post and will know what they are about look at. Do not post titles in ALL CAPS, do not post misleading titles ("clickbait"). • Use good English and check your spelling! "1337-Speak" should also not be used on these boards. Nor should "text speak", use your word processing software to check for basic spelling and grammar errors, we aren't looking for the best English, but it is a lot easier to read a checked post, than another like, "hi, wel i av a prob wiv me gun u c nd i dnt no wot 2 do". Adding punctuation, full stops and commas make it easier to read. • Use Personal Mail (PM) Instead of posting in a Sales / Swaps topic which will cause it to 'bump' that topic just use your PM to communicate asking and answering questions. Sellers should be aware that any post, for whatever reason (especially answering questions or making a comment), that are before the 7 days is considered a bump. If you cannot receive PM then try deleting some old ones to free up space. • Caps lock Do not post in all Caps lock as it looks like you are shouting at somebody and is also very annoying to read. Topic and advert titles are to be in normal sentence case, not in all CAPITALS. • Don't post duplicate topics Multiple topics started about the same thing may be deleted, merged or moved at the moderators' or my discretion. If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read and follow the rules • Use "Smileys" effectively "Smileys" can be used in your forum posts. If you are joking about something, use them to help indicate that your statement was made humorously. They can be used to indicate your mood and show that something was not meant to be taken seriously. If you don't use them, people will assume you are being serious. Arguments have broken out before because of a misunderstood joke. • No Arguing Don't argue, if you feel offended by the comments of another user or believe a post is offensive, report it to the moderators, and they or I will be deal with it. Starting a fight may result in sanctions for all those involved. Our first decision is our final one! • Be nice to other forum users Treat others as you would like to be treated to yourself. There is absolutely no need to be abusive on these forums. If you are then your posts / topics will be edited or deleted, you may be given a warning, you may get your account suspended, and persistent offenders will be banned. • Post Spam Don't post just to raise your post count, there is no bonus in it, and moderators will become frustrated with the spam. Continued post spamming will result in a suitable sanction. • Be Constructive If you don't have something constructive to add to a thread then don't post at all. This applies especially in the "Classifieds" section, if you have something to say, PM it to the seller. Comments like "good luck with the sale" or "nice gun" are also not appreciated. Repeatedly ignoring these guidelines when you post, may lead to your posts or account being moderated/edited. If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read and follow the rules Forum Rules The following are rules that must be adhered to. Failure to follow these rules will attract the attention of the forum moderators. All moderators are friendly people and follow the rules laid out to them, they are there to enforce the forums rules, if you have a problem with a particular moderator please PM me "proffrink" personally. • Thread bashing/trolling There will be some posts or threads in the forum that you may not like. If you dislike somebody's thread or some of the people participating in the discussion simply don't bother reading or replying to it. Posting/trolling in it with the sole purpose of having it closed (bashing) will not be tolerated. • Off topic Try to stay close to the original topic of a certain thread as much as you can. If you wish to talk about something else make a new topic, do not use an existing one. Remember to use the search function as there may already be a topic for what you wish to talk about. • Spam Adding posts that contribute nothing to the conversation (spam) will be deleted or merged with a previous post. Do not "bump" your threads by posting irrelevant information or just "bump". It is spam and will be deleted. Continuous spamming will result in warning points being added to your account, a suspension, or a ban from the forums. • Advertising No one is to use their account to place advertisements in their signature, avatar or any posts. Anyone caught will have their account, including all posts and topics deleted. They may also be banned by IP depending on the seriousness of the offence. Retailers / shops are not to place any adverts in the Classifieds. A shop can create one topic in the Places to Buy section, using the shop name as a title, with a link to your website. • Duplicate Accounts Each user is only allowed one account. Duplicate accounts take up valuable system resources and annoy other forum users. It is very easy to spot duplicate accounts created or used by the same person, and any duplicate accounts found will be removed. Breaking the following rules will result in an immediate IP ban, deletion of account and removal of all posts and topics. • Absolutely NO References glorifying or inciting drug-misuse References glorifying or inciting criminal behaviour or violence Images or videos of graphic violence Images or videos of an adult or graphically sexual nature Images or videos that show drug misuse • Racial, Sexual and Religious Equality This site makes no discrimination between people of different race, gender or religion. We welcome everyone except those who demonstrate intolerance toward others. • Illegal/Banned Subjects You cannot discuss anything that will help someone break the law in his or her locale. This means talking about: How to evade paying tax on imported goods How to make a semi-automatic replica shoot fully-automatic in a country that does not allow this feature How to make your own or modify pyrotechnics How to get restricted items past customs How to get restricted items if you are under-age Any other illegal activities If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read the and follow the rules The link is very accessible from within the Classifieds forum if you wish to read the rules at a later date.
