It is a total mess for DMR's though. Honestly the reason I'm looking into HPA, so I can adjust to DMR limits or run at 1.1j depending on the site. Also None of this makes sense. 370fps on a .32 is 2j.2 points -

I made sure I learnt the correct wording for this at the very least before I embarrassed myself in my first post ๐ Just as a general update, I went for my first skirmish today at Outpost Airsoft and had a fantastic time, will definitely be going again soon! The people there were great and it was incredibly well organised! I will absolutely recommend to anyone on here based in and around d the North West, or for anyone that doesn't mind travelling ๐2 points -

All good advice above even an experienced forum dweller falls fowl of some items bought used. Ive just bought a โcared for โ rif on a used selling website I asked all the right questions, got a video sent to my mobile of it working confirmed what was included etc,etc Then the rif arrived with a couple of small niggles, nothing to stop it working but it was jammed when it arrived with me and needs maybe ยฃ30 of parts fitted to make it operate like it should When I contacted the seller about the problems, ten minutes after it had arrived I add, I got the stock answer of โit was fine when it left me mateโ So beware, the Parcel Force pixies are able to get into a wrapped box and lock a charging handle back and fcuk the release lever ๐ Just as well I paid PayPal G&S and not bank transfer like the seller wanted Im able to raise a dispute if he doesnโt do the honourable thing and help cover the costs Success will be limited, but Iโm in with a chance at least2 points -

Praise capitalism and buy more guns, youโre keeping the hobby afloat. Iโve just treated myself to a set of Pandora arms wooden Hi-capa grips, clone Vortex Viper RMR, JLP Capa RMR mount, TM MP5 drum mag and a Laylax 430mm VSR barrel. (not all for the same gun I might add before @Adolf Hamsteraccuses me of more heresy)2 points -

That's where you went wrong, please don't do it again From what I can decipher from that word salad is that you're moaning that you took a hot gun to a site and couldn't use it. Next time check beforehand as not every site has the same power limits1 point -

First of all; big necropost. ๐ Secondly; UK law doesn't recognise DMRs or anything like that regarding Airsoft. You have the legal limit for single action and semi automatic at 2.5J iirc, but for safety's sake, sites will obviously set it at a lower level, which for DMRs is generally anything from 1.48 to 1.88J (Approx 400 to 450fps when measured on a 0.20), or 2.3J for single action rifles, but that's for safety & insurance.1 point

I think sites in the south need to rethink there DMR rules for woodland/ outside games as Iโve had my m4 dmr for 2years. I played today with it and was told itโs to hot 370fps 1.41J on a 0.32 BB the site lim is 1.40J. Around my way the site limits range from no J just 420fps. 1.64J no fps stated, 1.40j or the best one is a site that banned dmr but snipers can run at 500fps i think the uk law is 450fps & 1.85j For a dmr1 point

It should be usable enough with the stock M90 and 0.28g. The Specna rotary hop unit is pretty decent, so its effective range won't be much short of anything else out there. It just won't reach out quite as far as something tuned for bang on the site limit. However, at that extra 5-10m you're rarely going to get hits anyway. I'd run it as stock at least once to get a baseline in performance and see what the site chronograph says, then make a spring change decision based on that. It's always better to come out 0.1J under than any amount over.1 point

To be honest, the seller needs as much scrutiny as the rif itself, easily done when shopping on forums. Look at how long a member, kind of feedback, post count & maybe have a look at the quality of his posts, if he's spamming/poor attitude/thick as shit, I'd be reluctant to consider buying something with complicated moving parts etc. Also, regarding the rifs, if the seller is the first owner - IT'S SECOND HAND if its like new- IT'S SECOND HAND if it's only been skirmished once - IT'S SECOND HAND Don't get sucked in to any of the bs, once a rif leaves a shop for the first time it's second hand, open to abuse or excessive use, or just natural wear & tear that will at some point lead to failure. & again, irrespective of alleged god like condition proclaimed by sellers, NO WARRANTIES APPLICABLE, no matter how much your paying over the odds, YEAH I'M LOOKING AT YOU @avenger63๐. As for what to actually buy, find what you like the look of, look to see if it's been reviewed on here, if not make a thread asking about it, in no time at all you'll be inundated with responses๐1 point -

To be honest the AG npas nozzle ainโt that bad. I mean itโs not great either. The only thing you have to worry about it the screw valve thingy Bob from ejecting itself loose into the barrel. We have heard stories of it happening to a few people. Nothing that a dab of thread lock wonโt fix. Now how durable the AG nozzle is is open to debate. We did have some guys on here who swore by it and said it worked well for their setup. I confess i have one myself as I buggered up the Marui nozzle after NuprolGate and needed a nozzle ASAP. I used it to only plink squirrels in the garden but then managed to grab a Marui nozzle. Itโs there as a back up though in case I need it.1 point

Dave told me off last time I mentioned my AG drop in nozzle, but the one I've got is holding up ok currently (approx 2k rounds in). I should add though, once I can find somewhere with either the TM or the GM in stock, I'll be swapping over.1 point

Sounds like the copper was just trying to stay on the safe side. In legislation, an airsoft gun (that isn't modified to be crazy powerful) isn't a firearm. The easy way to test this is to shoot someone. If they could potentially be killed or suffer life changing injuries as a result, then it's a firearm. If they just swear at you and shoot you back, then they are a real airsofter and you're just pratting about with toy guns1 point
