  1. In a word, great. My Son and I went to Tower Airsoft in Billericay for what was our first outdoor skirmish. There were only 30 players and nearly half of those were one team so it was the rest of us against them. If anyone from Team Sasquatch is reading, thank you. You guys really made the day go well for me and my Son. The games were reasonably brief and a mix of attack and defend. The turnaround time in the morning was a little slow but the pace picked up in the afternoon, and by the finish I was certainly done for the day. Everyone took their hits and spirits were high all day. Marshalling was good, I can see why AP have got the reputation they have. The highlight for me though was the fact that both site owners made a point of seeking out my Son to speak to him and make sure he was enjoying himself. As a parent it always annoys me when people ignore kids and speak to us like they're not there. These guys walked straight past me to speak to him, absolutely brilliant. We shall be back to Tower and will be giving Plantation a go as well. Once I've fully recovered. 😄

  2. In all it's crap-camera glory. I had another offer I couldn't refuse with this little beast. Tanaka m700 with a real steel Remington m700 wood stock. £400 all in for an upgraded, out of production rifle. The KJW m700 was the one on my list, so when I got this offer I was like "yeah, I can't say no to that, as much as I really should as I've already spent way too much" One of the mags needs fettling, but it shoots nicely and is nice and quiet! I wanted one of these when I was a teenager, way back in 2006 when one of my team mates had one. 15 years later and I finally have one.

  4. It was great at the time. First series to seriously use CG model effects VideoToaster gave us Lightwave 👍 I recently watched a bit of Blake7 for the first time in about 35 years. Wow, its so ropey now 😆 I prefer Space 1999 😉

  6. Why you would need fast access to 8 mags at any one time? Magazine admin is the way, “real shit” translates very well to Airsoft but if you really want to look like a walking magazine hanger then stick with ITW nexus or esstac pouches. Stay away from nuprol, load of shyt.

  8. Good sunny Sunday to everyone I've opened my workshop back up and I'm taking in repairs again I would like to add that I do have a full time job and that any work taken on will be done in the evenings because of this I would just like to keep my work to repairs of broken guns to get guns back to working order so people can play, taking on bigger projects like DMR conversions or high speed builds won't be my preference, not that I can't do them but I'm not able to range test at my current location I can work on the majority of AEG's I do mainly specialise in M4's, MP5's G3's or anything H&K but I've probably been inside 95% of airsoft guns I'm based in Tunbridge wells in Kent so drop off for Kent players is fine, guns can be posted to me but customers must cover the cost of delivering each way I have most spares in my workshop to get a gun back to life but if you wish to supply new parts just make sure they are compatible My prices are very reasonable as this isn't my main income it's something to keep me busy and to make use of my workshop again so I charge £35 for a full aeg service which includes a full strip down and clean and re-grease, reshim and checking all components for wear, cleaning barrels, re-wiring if necessary Feel free to message me here or drop me a message on my Facebook page (although sometimes I don't always get the notifications 🤔) [email protected] Or Facebook.com/strongarmairsoft

TM NGRS MP5 SD6 conversion. The gun has been used once at longmoor and since then hanging up and I don't see myself using it any time soon I'm truly a GBBR user I thought that this might convert me back to electric but no. The gun is upgraded internally with. Custom edgi RHop'd barrel will lift any BB weights. 285mm length Bearing spring guide Stronger spring AOE correction and sorbathane pad FLT CNC steel bushings Cylinder head. Lonex steel gears with helical bevel and pinion. Cleaned, shimmed and lubricated The only mod to the original gun for the conversation was the removal of the front iron sight which was push fit to begin with so it can easily be changed back to A5 standard, will obviously include original handguard and iron sight. The new front sd6 sling mount had to be modified so that the original TM front ended didn't need machining, it's solid with no movement but I only used it with a single point sling to the rear as I feel it could get damaged with carelessness. Has a longer barrel than standard (285mm) it's just the right length so that a xcortech tracer fits inside the suppressor. Comes with 5 mags. 2 of the mags have been converted to real steel mags (will include the original sleeve if you wanted to change back) being a SD6 front end plenty of room for bigger batteries than the A5. The gun shoots beautifully and alot of time and effort went into the conversion/build as well as money. I'd rather it be collected just so you can see it in person before hand and cash is king so always offer better deal in person. Not desperate to sell but I don't expect to get back what it cost me with machining and labour/parts Any extra pictures and questions please do ask. I'm in Essex if anyone would like to view the gun also can be arranged at CAMORAIDs on canvey. Last picture is one of the real steel mags with the TM insert these came out great.

  10. fair enough, as long as it's not mouse-fart levels of silence required then aeg can do the job, although admittedly it makes getting setup a bit trickier. tbh, i'd start with working on the usual accuracy areas- good ammo, good hop/barrel, get the air seal as good as possible, then worry about getting the energy dialed in once you're sure that any stronger spring isn't wasted sending air anywhere but behind the bb. in terms of gear noise, a good shim job will definitely go a long way to do that. the process isn't so much difficult as it is laborious once you get the hang of the process, plenty of guides out there on yt and such. for trigger response, well assuming we're talking locked to, or predominantly used in (i'm assuming you're eu based by the sounds of it) semi auto then the best starting point is a mosfet with precoking, followed up by a motor with some decent pickup speed. that'll do a lot for the "feel" in semi auto. how you go about that kinda depends on your budget and how much you want to mess around with, for example, rewiring.

  11. The ITW ones are the “original” fast mags, I like them but I’m not keen on the aesthetic (shoot me) but Esstac’s are the dogs. Both are very easy to re index mags into. They pop up on the forum classifieds now and again.

  12. Thanks! Had that second day today. What a blast. Was so much more fun having decent visibility as the rental are full face mesh. The goggles and mask married up almost perfect with no gap between them. Sweated my ass of and didn't fog up either as the Raiders are slim but full seal and vented. And the mesh lower was extremely comfortable and did the job perfect. Got shot in the ear at close range and heard a loud ping that no doubt would have been extremely painful if i didn't have ear pro. Also the fabric cheeks make welding to the stock very easy compared to the rental mask. So all in all very happy with my first purchases and my second game day

  13. Today was an absolutely fantastic day with many successes at Worthing Airsoft. We played part of the site that is often neglected and it was super fun. I went with the 1.1J spring VSR so I had no MED (I was called out in the safety brief so people wouldn't whine too much when I shot them up close) and it was a really satisfying day. So many great shots and stealthy moments. Our small sniper element of 3 snipers and one AEG guy managed to hold one of the three bases with the help of a group of rental kids who held their ground against large numbers of way more experienced airsofters for the whole game. Never underestimate rental kiddies! Even though we fell at the end because they just overwhelmed us by pushing us with way more people than we could take out, it was an absolutely cracking game. Made me wonder what the rest of our team was doing Not only that, but one of my good friends at the site has recently picked up a TM VSR project gun (it was broken) for himself and got a local gun tech to upgrade and fix it. Took it out last skirmish day and didn't see much success, so he switched back to an AEG. Today he took it out again and asked if he could follow me around the site to learn how to do the sniper role properly and I said of course he could. He said he'd probably just run it in the morning and then switch out to his AEG again at lunch, but as lunch came and went, he took the VSR out for the afternoon as well as he had so much fun with it in the morning. Said that it felt great to play and was super satisfying to use a BASR, despite less "action". The only detractor for the day was that there was absolutely rampant non-hit taking. Marshalls had to pull up a lot of people on it and I had a lot of instances where I hit someone, they react to the shot and then run away or go to ground. I never understand people who get hit by a single BB out of nowhere with no audible sound queue, and then try and brush it off as "nah, that didn't hit me." If that happens, it's probably a sniper who is watching you through a scope and can see their BB bouncing off your love handles.

  14. Got my handguard painted and setup today; It's got a 45mm spacer on the end, but it's a much better fit when I ready it on my shoulder with the stock 15mm one so I went back to that. I'm also waiting on another RAMP and a 2.5mm ModButton to go with/behind the MAWL on top like this: And the ICS MARS lower reciever (stuck in customs for 19 days today..) Changing the torch on the side to arisaka mount, but needs some work:

  18. So did my first day playing Airsoft today over at Airsoft Plantation. Went with a friend who turns out has been going for some time! Mostly had a good time, absolutely shattered though! Don't think my body has moved like that (short running bursts, kneeling down, bending round corners etc) for around 2 years. THINK I mostly kept up with the pace, there were a few times I was happy to stay back a bit lol. As a first timer, my biggest challenge was knowing the map. Marshalls explained the game and where we needed to go etc, but not knowing where they are, meant I was just following others around quite a bit. Think once ive been there a few more times, ill start to get to know where everything is and have more of a equal playing field to the regulars. (Maybe i should have asked the marsalls for a map or something...). Did feel guilty at one point as a nade went off which I thought was 7-8 meters away (where they say anyone within 5m is hit), but marshall called me out to say it hit me, happily took the hit without question, just didnt want to come across as cheating at all. 21. I’ve just bought this, I’m not sure though on adjusting, nice the aoP said it was easy to adjust but I’ve found it anything but, I had to take it off as you can’t reach where you roll the straps up, they will also slide down, you can see how the OP used tape to stop this, instead it should have tensioners at the side, for £73 it’s abit crap if you ask me, I’m looking at alternatives before I use it so I can return it.

  25. Yup totally agree , hence most of my LiPo’s that have the potential to be problematic getting out of what ever I’ve stuck them in have an attached loop of nylon filament(the thread from the core of paracord)around them so if I do need to give it a ‘tug’ to get it out I don’t need to fanny around with any of the wires just pull on the loop and out it pops .👍

Mmm. I'd just urge you to actually play some - or a lot of - airsoft with what you have before spending any more. Hop buckings and barrels (I like Maple Leaf, and ZCI or AOLS) can help a bit, but at the end (middle, and start) of the day, you've got what you need to enjoy yourself.

As far as upgraded TM ngrs, my first up grade was a nice barrel. A nice barrel will always last and is a great non intrusive addition to any gun. I stuck a nice Prometheus 6.03 in mine. As far as what it did took the stock 280fps to 315fps . Not much added in range/accuracy but the little extra punch at range is a bonus. Several years later the power had dropped over time so delved in deeper but the barrel as an initial upgrade you can't really go wrong.

  28. Thanks, it's a bit of a labour of love ! Taken plenty of time to get to that stage, I started from a blank reciever for mine and built from scratch. Yours is getting there, when you can , put some time into it and it'll soon be spot on. Not had any issues with the mag catch at all on the A2 on mine I did the upper mods with miliput and lots of careful sculpting , for the GBBR I'm doing at he moment we have a set of the 3d printed parts to try, it'll be interesting to compare. I didnt find doing it particularly problematic although years of model building may have helped. Had the machining done by LCs engineering. This is a picture they sent of the machined and engraved parts for the A2 GBBR showing the work done. I've pretty much only run my GBBR A1 this year ! take an AEG along on game day and it stays in the bag Lol. The gas guns are very imersive and loads of fun. My A1 is based on a WE M4 and uses quite a few real steel parts. The A2 is getting genuine stock, pistol grip, fore grip buffer tube and mag catch. I tend to run 5 single mags and one double mag for a game and re fill with BBs from a speed loader, get about 2.5 BB loads from a gas fill. Mine runs happily on red gas pretty much all year, certainly in temperatures as low as I'm prepared to go out in ! My gas A1, it's got a more accurate ACOG on it now and the sure fire flash hider as I often run it with the can on for the look of it. Buffer nut is incorrect in that picture but now has a proper one on it . Would love to get a genuine British SF spec KAC rail for it, but they are a bit 'hen's teeth' and hellish expensive when they come up.

  29. Good face pro is the only thing entirely necessary to get involved in an airsoft game. Well done on looking past the pile of shiny bullshit all stores constantly push on the player base and focusing on what matters (by far) the most. If you maintain the same mindset as you continue on in the hobby you'll find you spend almost no down time in the safe zone or not going to games you wanted to attend because your guns and/or gear have failed you; a problem endemic to all sorts of players both new and seasoned on many occasions.

  30. I've read that electrolysis can help so I'm working on implanting cables in my forehead connected to a low voltage high amperage accumulator. Bit drastic but needs must. 🥵 Alternatively I will attempt to gain access to a general practitioner(phew that's gonna work up a sweat!) And ask about having some anticholinergics prescribed. Apparently they are very effective for hyperhidrosis. Regards

Not a sales interest (I have too many AK’s already , but it does look dam fine !) as to the MAG problem , take a jewelers half round file and give the little bb retainer a 5-6 sweeps to take it back a smidge then when you load them , load to full capacity then remover around 10-15 bbs and you ‘should’ find they will now feed fine . 👍

I made a tool to get my mk18 barrel nut off, used a vice and AR upper clamp. And a electric heat gun to melt the thread lock. It was an absolute arse, but do-able. With this in mind, you’re probably better off going for the CQBR as your base gun. You’ll need a low profile gas block/gas tube and flash hider. I sometimes run a 10.5” barrel in hotter months with a 250mm inner, but I’m trying the 370mm 6.03mn in winter to get better performance on black gas. The HAO rails seem much better than the alternative clones. The mags are SAA, they’ve run totally fine for me and weight 100g less per mag.

  35. @SBoardleythanks for sharing your story bro. Glad to hear no one was seriously injured or worse. I can't imagine what it's like to experience something like that. But sharing your story just reinforces what I have said in this post and the other recent one about how, though a small risk, that risk is still very much a serious one and not to be forgotten. Also I don't believe you need ukara to buy private. Ukara is for retailers. Private sale is down the the seller to determine if it is for reasonable use e.g skirmishing. Though if he is donating to you even then you don't need any defense as such. Be humble and accept the very kind offer a reinforcement of how kind people can be.

  36. Yesterday we decided to switch things up a little bit: We set up a tournament-like day, so each game had an objective to accomplish (on top of eliminating the defenders), time was set at 10 minutes per game which made things incredibly difficult, so hard that out of 9 games played in this "mode", we only managed to secure the objective once Nonetheless it was a super fun day, hit calling wasn't the best but it's the usual suspects so we already know how to deal with them (aim for da face, KM style) and the kids enjoyed it so much As far as kit goes, I ran my standard "oh shit I forgot to pack the bag" kit, which is my pentagon flatpack clone + rigged 1 point sling, King Arms PDW with drum mag, random camo I found (this time a-tacs fg bottoms and m81 top), many light, much wow.

    THE TM MWS thread

First proper skirmish with the MWS today and I was impressed and more than a little happy with every trigger pull. Today was unseasonably warm for Nov so green gas was working well and I even managed to score a few hits during the morning. Feeling I could tweak the hop a bit more, I went to the range over lunch, put a mag through her and was very happy. Slapped another mag in, squeezed off two shots then pffft. Bolt neither fully forward or back, lots of manipulating the forward assist to get it far enough forward to separate the receiver, and there it was - the spring in the extractor bent to buggery. At least I have a spare.
