  1. Actually most airsofters and even techs will offer advice and more, I have done hundreds of hours of free work to help people out because that is the way the community is for the most part. The general camaraderie in the community is second to none. Most techs will inwardly groan and back away once they hear the issue is because you messed with it without having a clue and fucked it up though. Generosity only goes so far and while helping the unfortunate is good for karma helping those who brought in on themselves is another form of karma. Don't use maintenance gas for anything other than maintenance and dry firing is fine.

Hi all, Nice to meet you all, I'm Harry also known as Koyakami (Koya for short). Not been airsofting for long compared to majority of you veterans out there :D - also known as the Airsoft Gods. I live in the south of the UK, mostly attend Red Alert Airsoft & Paintball events in Reading. Currently have a SPECNA ARMS SA-A29P ONE (black) and a Jag Precision JW3 Combat Master GBB Pistol. Looking to get the rifle converted to a DMR and buy a shorter barrel AR. So catch you later folks!

  4. I had a similar issue on a stark arms g18c (I think vfc oem) in semi only where the slide would catch the triangle shaped part of the trigger bar that runs along the right hand part of the slide. When I pushed this part down into the lower receiver it felt quite grindy so the lack of smoothness was making it catch the slide. I completely disassembled the lower but couldn't find a positive point of failure. The only solution I had was to lubricate and bed in this trigger bar piece until it was smoother and now it cyles fine. Mine was a boneyard buy rather than new though. Good luck with this!

  6. Aye, I use green gas in all of my Marui Glocks and haven't killed the slides on any of them yet. Granted that's not entirely useful information, different shape/sized slides will likely have different breaking points. I've never fit one myself but from what I understand with the Guarder Glock kits they're a bit of a nightmare to fit, no idea how that translates to the other Guarder kits but food for thought. Granted it seems like them being a prick to fit might be a plus in your case 😅. As for losing trades, you'd be able to get those engraved/etched on there somewhere if you particularly wanted to. Of all the Ali things I've read on this forum, this might be the most Ali thing I've read on this forum.

  7. Ive actually been trying to destroy the stock plastic slide on my 4.3 whilst I wait on Airsoft Masterpiece to finally deliver the Battlecat 4.3. Given the plastic slide has no real value 2nd hand and I’ve already swapped out the BBU for my go-tos, I figured I’d Mythbust NP3.0, No failure NP4.0, No failure Guarder performance gas? Well, that set the fire alarm off at work; the slide is fine Edit - It’s just as well you’re happy to dive in at the deep end if you’re going to stick a Guarder slide on there! Grab the dremel, hand files and a tub of mother’s aluminium polish!

  8. I wouldn't say that's the case, but hopefully you can understand how bumping the thread less than 24 hours after posting it on a Bank Holiday weekend and then bemoaning the community at large might rub folks the wrong way? Certainly an unusual tactic for trying to get advice/help. As with many of your other questions it's hard to say for sure because you've swapped things around. There are various parts in a GBB pistol that I'd personally consider consumables (nozzles, springs etc) in that I expect them to need swapping out at some point. Moving up from 144a will likely mean these parts would need swapping out quicker, but that's assuming those parts are currently stock. The one thing I wouldn't consider a consumable, though many (especially Hicapa builders) would, is the slide. As others have stated I've heard anecdotal evidence that green gas can kill Marui slides but I've never had it happen myself. Granted outside of a flamboyant Hicapa build which I've since sold I tend to keep my Marui pistols stock.

  9. Standard 144a is okay but can be too weak on a gun that is binding somewhere and can cause issues with the slide. Maintenance is full of lube and is not really designed for actual firing. Nuprol 2.0 would be fine and is ok in all but the really old tm pistols. Most times people claim that standard green gas knackered their guns they leave out the half a dozen times they dropped it which weakened something in the first place.

    THE TM MWS thread

Assuming you're in the UK, or a handful of other places which are listed on HAOs website, shipping is currently suspended so I expect they'll get round to a cancellation/refund before it'd be getting sent out.

  21. Hi, that's a lovely little collection. I'm one of the raresoft guys. The Marui, that would be something to advertise at about the £450 mark. It looks like the CAW kit. Looks like the original reciever is there too? M1 carbine, £200, though a small market. T2 Shotgun, £275. Hold out for the right buyer, they are much better made than the S&T ones and properly boxed. There is a Terminator collectors group that would be a good place to get interest. The marui AK, is that still plastic bodied or has it been guardered? Systemas I don't know much about, sorry. The HFC Mauser carbine more along the £120-£140 ballpark. More if you find spare mags especially short ones.

  23. I'd suggest negative airaoft too, but the mp9 is fairly straight forward, there is also an assembly video from negative airsoft if I remember correctly. I seem to remember only one screw needs undoing then the buffer rod needs pressing and the rest then it comes apart.

  26. Wire, plastic or wood? (asking for a friend) Just picked up a shipment of these Snake Eyes helmets, I've got a bunch of ARC rails and NVG mounts coming from wish this weekend... Anyone want a totes operator AF helmet? I've got some paperwork that says it's totes legit and will stop a bb (tested very scientifically with a .12 fired from a mcdonalds straw) prices between £69 and £420 depending on if I like you and how much glue I've had to use to stick crap onto it...

  27. Just be as historically accurate as you personally want to be and let other people do the same. Don't be a russian-gear-forum obsessive crazy person, there's already too many of those. Years ago I gave some kid an actual heart attack by just commenting how I liked useful things like some areas of pic rail on certain parts of an AK.

Did you read the thread before necroposting? If you had then you'd know that the gun in question is semi auto only, as established 2 years ago. If you're going to use insults when calling someone out it's best to make sure you're right, otherwise you'll come across as the dick cheese

  31. I wish more people would realise that relying on Facebook for anything is a waste of time. Yes, it's free; yes, you can do a bit there; but ultimately, if someone wants your page down, you're gonna go down because Facebook doesn't give a damn. If you're a site owner that needs web presence, there are plenty of free/cheap ways to get started. Wix, Wordpress, Squarespace, Weebly, are just a few website builders. If you don't have the time to build a full website, but you want still the presence/contact, just get your site added to https://playairsoft.uk. Heck, get your site added there anyway. It's free! 🙂 Disclaimer: I'm the creator and maintainer of PlayAirsoft.

And illegal to purchase as well, but it's the illegal sale and purchase of an air pistol and RIF, not a firearm. Will you help us to understand why? Genuine question, why would you think this?

Correct on both accounts. 370 FPS for full auto is the legal max and anything with B.B. in is best avoided. Having said that... I’ve bought stuff from zero one and other U.K. shops that’s advertised as 360 FPS and turned out to be much more. The scar H I bought from them was 440fps
