What people probably wanna see on the gram vs how I've actually used it.

  2. I thought that it would be cheaper than paintball, I could not afford full medieval armour for LARPing, and Games Workshop was closed on Sundays... Also I overheard a couple of lads talking about "all the pussy at airsoft"; later realised that I had mis-heard them and it was "all those pussies at airsoft"

I thought you had inexplicably stuck a little bottle of red tracer BBs on the top of that. And then I realised it was a pink Himalayan salt grinder in the background.

  5. Hey guys, thank you so much for your advice - basically I went full pleb mode and forgot about that ventral grub screw - sorted now, Cheers!

  6. I've started a YouTube channel dedicated to my airsoft stuff. I only intended the footage to be clipped together so my kids could see what I do when I go absent from parenting for the day but thought why not stick them on YouTube so I can be immortalised in history as being a nobody? Link to my channel right here First airsoft video I've ever made. Yeah the camera quality could be better (not moaning at £30 cam though) and yes the editing and transitions should be better (not a Vegas genius) but hopefully you watch/like/sub/enjoy it.

  7. Depending on what the eye pro is generally attaching lower face pro is pretty simple, just a case of popping some cable ties through the mesh of the lower face pro and through the ventilation holes/any other hole you can find on your eye pro. Tends to work best with goggles in my experience because there are plenty of points to pop cable ties through on the under side.

  8. Dot mounted to the upper rail. Its an underfolder so no side rail. If there was I would be even more out! Its off the because the front gas tube bracket does not line up with the rear sight. Because of this its actually an absoloute nightmare to lock the handguard in because of the angle.

  9. I think the battery will go in the handguard. Try pulling back the collar holding it and it should pull open. EDIT: If you look at all the pictures on the website where you bought it, you'll see how it opens up... https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/a-k-moe-m4-aeg-short-cqb-version-in-black.html The batteries generally either go in the front handguard or the stock. You can usually tell by which is bigger.

  11. Small update on where I am with my little channel and where I want to go with it. Over the last week I've invested in a proper GoPro to improve the quality of the footage on my videos, the £30 Apeman just isn't cutting it any more and I've also upgraded my video editor software and brought that up to date as well (Magix/Sony/Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum is currently only £30 for anyone interested). With regards to the footage, the last however many weeks have been fun going over the technicals and spec lists of my weapons and I've not really started on my "primary" weapons yet but as we are now less than a month away from getting back out there I will be swinging my focus towards some honest gameplay footage, no hit marker stuff, just honest POV of some of the game situations and sites I go to with the odd montage added in for when there has been a fast paced CQB session. Speaking of which... there is now another CQB due to open up within 20 minutes of where I live which is going to give me a nice variance of location especially when tied in to my montly "big" outing with the rest of the Recon101 guys. My channel has already hit my first self imposed milestone and has surpassed 50 subscribers, not sure how or why given most of the content is me ranting about how shite Golden Eagle pistols are but thank you to those already subbed and for anyone reading and who isn't yet, please do give me a sub as I would really like to make it to 100 subs before summer. Overall I'm super exctied to be getting back out next month and given how much turmoil is caused online by clickbaited videos, false claims of many descriptions and the general focus on promoting "angst". I am looking forward to reflecting a true airsoft experience even if it doesn't get my views into the thousands. A lot of love going out to "my guys" @Flintlock @DECO290597 - can't wait to get back out as a group again and a strong nod in the direction of @KJB as I can't wait for us to start hitting up the CQB's locally and causing a ruckus! 😎

  12. I'm inclined to agree. I've written to TG again this week to press the point that this is reflecting so badly on their business and everyone affected is going to think twice about using any retailer that uses UPS (for anything). If you used PayPal for the purchase you have 180 days from the purchase date to open a dispute over the purchase. I think the retailer needs to prove the item was sent (which TG will be able to do), but they won't be able confirm delivery, which is the issue for the buyer. I had a similar issue with a parcel that was lost in the Russian postal system and PayPal refunded me once they'd reviewed the case. I would assume that there would be similar limits on the time you have to open a case also apply if you've used different methods of credit. @Laserhawk's experience suggests that UPS are perhaps concentrating on dealing with parcels that have just been imported (e.g. not adding to the backlog), although it could also be put down to general incompetence, given that no RIF paperwork was demanded. Given how my own parcel hasn't been scanned since the 8th March I'm wondering if it's suffered the fate of many parcels in this warehouse. I'm interested to see if @L3wisD and @kasaran receive anything on Monday 15th March. This for me will be the test of UPS. If parcels start to arrive (giving a 4-week delivery time) then there is hope that UPS are attempting to clear these imports from TG. If not I'll be looking to dispute my purchase, given online distance selling rules in both the UK and EU state that the retailer has 30 days to deliver the goods, after which they become liable to make refunds.

  14. No, personally I'd only move Comms away from the forum if the member I'm dealing with has a massive history here, & feedback to match, anybody else I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. As has been pointed out, here you have some support from admin etc, Wattsapp etc, which I believe to be encrypted ?, you're all on your own, no comeback EVER, not even from the police etc ☹️

    THE TM MWS thread

User on here rocketdogbert HPA is the devils work though, maybe just try shooting less and using black gas unless it’s sub zero, and then at that point just stay at home?

  19. New Coyote Tan set-up starting to take shape. Still a couple of additions/substitutions to go, particularly with the mag pouches, but so far really happy with most of the gear from Warrior.

  20. A TM G34 with all the trimmings (shoutout to the lovely Prowin mags) and a pair of TRMRs with multi shot bases from a lovely bloke on here that’s unfortunately leaving the game. Genuinely gutted because I’d have loved to get some games in with him, but it’s come to a good home. This’ll be the new ‘CQB primary’ stuff. The arrival of some additional long WTFix straps means I could finish putting the Crye Airlite chest rig together, and my Ferro FCPC v5 arrived from the US. Placard is very much a placeholder, not entirely settled on what will live there just yet.

  21. They test using a 500g ball at 127cm high and dropped. Meaning that at point of impact it will hit at 4.99m/s with 6.22J of energy. The + or +2 just means the same rating but for different type of lenses (prescription)

  22. I have a TK45C and yeah, really surprised by the weight. I have the stubby PTS foregrip and run a 551 clone and PEQ15 on it. Time to go back to basic; "Press up position, DOWN!"

  23. Not just on Z1: Then, there's this: £240 gun new - check £40 Nuprol Tracer - check a crappy extra mag - Priceless and some left over meh (at best) BBs. And a couple of batteries So the guy effectively wants damned near full retail back. Could of at least cleaned the gun before the photos.

  24. a little digging it's a tricky one. the Z87.1+ standard seems to have 2 impact tests, the high mass test looks to be ~7j but at a low velocity, their "high velocity" test seems to be about 1j. as with all standards that's a minimum, so they could well be stronger than that, however there's never a guarantee and if in doubt get your local kickingmustang to drop a round in them point blank.

  26. It's not a Brexit thing or just our government; the EU has been planning to do this for some time and would have introduced it at the same time as us, but they delayed implementing them until July due to the coronavirus: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/vat/modernising-vat-cross-border-ecommerce_en

  27. You can get decent goggles cheaper than that if you look at the specs correctly. Goggles are one of those items that you 100% need and you need them to be right from the get go. Airsoft specific goggles tend to be expensive. And they also sell a lot of mesh goggles. Players have mixed opinions of mesh, They have less protection than a solid goggle, but mesh is also less problematic in wet and hot conditions. I do not advise anything made of mesh unless you know the risks and accept those risks. For total protection you can look in places like screwfix and toolstation. At industrial goggles, They all have kite marked lenses and are rated for specific impact protection. For £10-15 you can get a decent pair of goggles that will be better than any cheap pair of airsoft specific goggles. B rated lenses are rated for a 0.86g BB shot at 120m/s - That's 6 joules - Airsoft is typically under 2.5 joules so they have a solid margin for error. https://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-concealer-concealer-premium-safety-goggles/69051 If you are under 18 then most site also enforce mandatory full face protection. This can be a lower half mouth, nose and chin cover with a pair of goggles. Full face airsoft specific masks with mesh are generally one of the worst options you can go with. They might look good, but with no impact ratings, and generally a poor face fit and low QC on the mesh fixing you can find they fail in unexpected ways. Camo is completely optional. In fact you don't even need a look. Jeans and a hoodie, with decent boots is plenty good enough. If you want to do things on the cheap then go with an AK47/74 variant. You can get a chicom chest rig for £15 and a balaclava, and a few high cap mags and that's the loadout done. Your a terrorist! And not a single person will question it. Even with a full wardrobe of kit I've had many a game where I've played with nothing more than a parka and mags stuffed in my pockets.

  28. as much as we might have sympathy for the shops, maybe we should be hassling them about all this, if only to make them see how bad the problem is and maybe switch couriers?

    How do We Report Scammers?

Not as far as I can see. I think someone may have pointed out that he looked like he was trying to pad out his post count (if I'm thinking of the right guy). But no other reports that I can see.

  31. I had an email from this address: [email protected] It relates to the actual person though, rather than a general inbox. Hope this helps. My package arrived today!! Best part is, this is the second of two parcels sent out by TG. The first one is still in Stanford, and has been for 3 weeks now. This second one was in Poland for 3 weeks, and yesterday was imported, then today was delivered. No customs clearance, no firearms form, no English invoice. Its very clear that UPS are all over the place. There's still hope out there guys.
