Best way forward is to get a petition in place and get as many UK Airsofters to sign it as possible and submit it to RM. All Airsofters pay a lot of kit and we expect if we send something via proper means and all above board that those items should arrive to its intended and for those WANKERS not to think it's perfectly acceptable to destroy it because in their eyes it deemed prohibited..... I can setup a petition no problem if needs be as RM are taking the piss now, other courier companies simply return the item back to the sender.... not destroy the damn thing.5 points -

Surely thats not legal. Airsoft guns are totally legal and so is the transportation of them. So to destroy them is illegal they are not a goverment agency with the ability to change UK law.3 points -

23rd August at Spartan airsoft very near to Bristol international airport, they are having a fundraising game day with raffle prizes Theres also free tea & coffee with an all day on-site burger bar plus on-site shop for the usual, red wolf airsoft has a stand there aswell The reason for the fundraiser is because a regular player who is an ex royal marine and his family very sadly lost there little boy to a rare luekimea, he was the only little boy in the country to have it If you could attend then that would be brilliant, Spartan have a Facebook page & website with address, prices etc www.spartanairsoft.co.UK Mods,if this is in the wrong section, could you please move it1 point

The problem I find with goggles is when there's no airflow. You're in woodland running around, wind has died down, and now you're hiding behind a tree. Give it a couple of minutes and they'll steam right up. Tempted to get turbofan's but they're bloody expensive..1 point

Depends on the size of your main rifle, a pistol is much easier to peak corners with than any rifle but is only really NEEDED if you have a longer barrelled rifle. However pistols (assuming you're talking about a GBB) can be incredibly expensive for what they are, have a lower magazine capacity than a second (back up) AEG and the magazines and gas can make them expensive to run (plus their performance fluctuates based upon climate).1 point -

Here are the maths: http://mackila.com/airsoft/atp/07-b-06.htm Heavier BBs fly further, get there faster and are more accurate. Also they go through bushes easier and people tend to feel the hits better.1 point -

My recent purchase... Like others, I won't have a blood group or call sign patch.. but ones that I don't see everyone and their neighbour wearing! I came back from Kurdistan (Syria/Iraq) last month and managed to find along the way two flag patches that I'm proud to be wearing though... (Can see them in my signature!)1 point

I'll probably end up getting a stripped down paintball mask then, something like the JT Proflex with just the frame and the dual-pane/thermal lens which shouldn't be too hard to come across on a paintball forum. Has anyone got any warnings before i do this? And thanks for the replies guys1 point -

If they're getting two toned they should go through customs fine as long as you're above 18. Make sure to declare them when you're travelling to avoid any scares.1 point -

There is a mod you can do that is used by AUG owners involving a pin fitted behind the trigger to restrict travel that effectively makes it semi only. Google should find it for you otherwise I'll ask my buddy how he did his AUG.,1 point -
A LOT of firearms offences do not distinguish between firearms capable of shooting and deactivated/imitation firearms, so watch out, even if he was allowed to play, his history - depending upon what the sentence was - can unfortunately predicate the possibility of the law establishing 'intent'. I believe this is section 21 of the firearms act 1968? Considering airsoft weapons do cause injury... you've got right there "possessing firearm with intent to cause injury". I doubt there is anything to be done on the "it's not a firearm front". Injury can afteral be psychological and using it as a club. That said, making sure this person does not touch/possess them off the field would be very prudent. Hope you get the result you want.1 point

I use one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Element-M600c-Scout-Flashlight-Tactical-Torch-Airsoft-Weapon-Light-Black-UK-/131273699398 Mounts to a rail and has a pressure pad and switch options. Seems sturdy enough and it's fairly bright, lighter than a full size torch and apparently the front cover won't smash if shot. It's a clone of the Surefire M600C, which whilst being much better quality is also getting on for £4001 point -

Sniper rifles, Gas, Electric or Spring?
Raggedy_man reacted to Monty for a topic
If I had the money to replace the plastic furniture, I'd do it in a hearbeat.. Same with purchasing a POSP scope that is actually decent. I would if you like the amount of upgrades out there to choose from, but I like the magazine in the correct place and the use of AEG buckings, barrels and springs in the SVD.1 point -
Sniper rifles, Gas, Electric or Spring?
Samurai reacted to Raggedy_man for a topic
Thanks Prof, I just wanted to be a little different and stand out from the crowd...... Probably the wrong type of mindset for a sniper1 point -
I second Proffink on the TM VSR-10 range of Springer sniper Rifles. I bought one second hand on a forum and it had some upgrades done it but not alot. The previous owner had already upgraded the cylinder, piston, Spring (to an M150 i think) spring guide, cylinder head, installed a zero trigger mech and a hop up arm, it shot ok-ish around 465FPS and fairly straight though shots would veer to the right often. I furthered this by zeroing the scope using a laser bore sight as the scope was well off whack, i shimmed the hop up arm to keep it still, bought a new barrel and barrel spacers so not it shooting straight but still around 465FPS, my field limit is 500FPS. That said you must be prepared to know that Spring Rifles can be very difficult to cock back as your right arm will have to fight that spring in order to fully pull back the bolt (about 3 inches worth of bolt) and frankly after a whole mag of trying to shoot quickly your arm will ache. That said if you find the bolt pull too much hassle like i did as its really heavy, there is a website called http://www.Mancraft.pl obviously based in Poland, there they sell a system called the SDiK which is essentially a refit of the piston to a gas cylinder, you can buy all the accessories from them too including regulator (HPA tank compatible) and a CO2 bulb adaptor. The whole system takes less that 30 minutes to switch from spring to CO2, i managed to stow the regulator and CO2 adaptor in a cheek rest for my VSR-10 and pipe the tubing through the stock so it looks very clean. All in all expect to pay around £150 for the SDiK, regulator, piping, CO2 adapter as well as some spares and delivery. Bolt pull can be done with one or two fingers now and only has to go back an inch, as it is regulated i can set it up for an FPS of 497 consistent shot to shot (some times even 3 or 4 shots in a row), one CO2 bulb lasts about 100 shots, i also have the ability to adapt it to HPA which i probably will when i start polarizing.1 point

Sounds the o ring that holds the BBs in is either degraded or missing. Alternativly you could put a bit of tape over the end; the gas has more than enough power to push it aside. Don't use only one piece; use a small one over each hole.1 point -

At The Mall I find ATACS AU is one those camo schemes i find very easy to spot in the dark as it has light patches. Agree it's too dark to see an outline regardless, but the lighter shades in it help you appear as a contrasting patch of moving blur, rather than just moving blur, and that's all you need to point and shoot at. Def agree that a black makes you easier to spot in light areas, due to color contrast. However I personally find camo clothing sticks out the most because it's not a block color like the surroundings. Perhaps the best outfit for the mall would be some horribly 70's beige/brown clothing; dark enough to have benefit in the basement, and might blend in with the background in rest of the site better. However due to it being an entirely man-made arena and people not having straight edges or flat surfaces I think the only way to successfully conceal yourself in the lit areas in any manner is if you where to wear a cardboard box, then people might mistake you for another wooden barricade. Hmm wait a minute i think i have a cunning plan So I agree with what you're saying, but personally I find the differences the other way around in terms of how much effect they have. To me i find black makes a big difference in the dark, but whatever you're wearing makes no difference in the rest of the site. People usually have so much adrenaline pumping they're really focused on a specific point of interest (doorway etc). It means if you're in that point they'll see you regardless of clothing style, and if you sneak up behind them they wont notice you regardless of clothing style either. And in woodland I seem to find no difference, maybe because everyone wears camo so there's not much difference to pick from. p.s. i wear black but refuse to be tarred with the sas/swat brush, just my very very old combats and snowboarding softshell. I have been toying with the idea of a ninja outfit, as it'll be a hilarious delving into hypocrisy for me that a majority will consider wearing this special-forces costume ridiculous because i clearly don't have the relevant ninja athleticism or abilities1 point -
