TBB's in pistols.
Monty and 2 others reacted to Rock-climby-Dave for a topic
I've shot many pistols, both upgraded and not. I own many pistols, both upgraded and not. Upgrades on the barrel make no difference beyond you believe the pistol shoots better, so you shoot it better. I have a standard TM barrel and rubber in my race-pistol at the moment and it doesn't shoot any different to the PDI/Nineball setup on my other hop unit. Put it this way - I'm 'not bad' at pistol shooting (ranked 6th in the UK by 1/2 a % (thanks guide rod for breaking on me) to 5th) and I can't shoot the difference. For skirmishing, if you want to get more kills with your pistol and have £50 to spend - buy two spare magzines3 points -

Did you tell him to instead buy a bottle of BBs to throw at people instead? Not the bottle mind, the BBs haha But seriously, you've just set the benchmark for all other confessions in this thread. Nothing can be worse than that haha2 points -

It may well be a blown fuse, even allowing for the fact that you have a 30Amp one in there. It may be that tightening the adjustment screw caused it all to jamb up and that could easily overload the fuse. If you have access to a multimeter then test for continuity (if it's not obviously showing a break). Alternatively if the gearbox has seized then that could also produce the symptoms you describe, especially as you are running on an 11.1V Lipo. Are the gearbox and motor fully upgraded to be able to handle that increased load? Stock gearboxes that are not produced with upgraded gears, piston, etc. don't last long on 11.1V Lipos, so you could be looking at an expensive repair job. To correctly set the motor height you need to run the gun on auto and increase / decrease the screw pressure until you get the smoothest, least screechy noise from the motor / gearbox.1 point

WE Glock 17 plus a spare mag and some gas. Nearly bought an WE MP5 SD but just about resisted, I think.1 point

Try putting power direct to the battery to eliminate any problems in wiring between the battery and the motor. Only give it a quick blast tho, and use the lowest cap battery you have (7.2) to avoid over revving the motor as there will be no resistance with it not pulling the spring back etc. Try that!1 point

Definitely different, seems quite a few think so- probably because they both do copies of the crye precision gear but they're quite different if you look closely1 point

Never heard of KOER, but that looks suspiciously like an A&K SVD, right down to the spring mechanism. As for the scope and mount, yes they should fit, although the mount rail may need a bit of work to make it fit easily, but it will look really lame. SVDs only look right with a PSO1 or POSP scope fitted and the clones of those are usually over $100 plus delivery, unless you can get a second-hand one off the forums.1 point

I can't quite imagine how many assets transport for london have which would be good for airsoft.1 point

If you can live with the colour then yeah the industrial ones are cheaper but still properly impact rated. To be honest though, if fifty quid seems too expensive - you may have picked the wrong hobby....1 point

Taiwangun.Pl Polish airsoft shop, no import to pay as it's Eu. Around £10 shipping if it's below £240. Good for cyma, Jg, a&k under their own brand p&j. gunfire.Pl another Polish retailer. Not sure on shipping but no Import charges to pay either.1 point

A lot of people prefer to shop in the UK though, whether through distrust of shipping/customs/foreign websites or if they actually just want to support the UK economy. I've seen plenty of CYMA M14s second hand priced higher than they are new from TWG, BUT they are the right price for a gun originally bought in the UK. Just because you are happy to buy all the extras from the UK doesn't mean the seller has.1 point

Does BB weight affect/amplify wear and tear on airsoft guns.
DaktariT reacted to BrightCandle for a topic
Not as far as I have seen. BBs seem to do three types of damage to guns: 1) They leave residue in the barrel that needs to be cleaned off, this is true of all BBs and its to do with the waxy coating they have. 2) They splinter or break and leave pieces about. Very rare, normally only an issue with using 0.12g BBs but it can happen. 3) The BB repeatedly getting spun back by the bucking rubber will wear the rubber down. I don't see why a heavier BB would do anything other than increase the wear and tear on the bucking, and even then I suspect the difference would be marginal.1 point -
