I have tried twisting it both ways, with tape around the outer barrel and then mullgrips to secure it and screwdriver through the compensator to rotate and it’s just twisting the tape around on the barrel… if I have been tightening, it’s going to be tight now 😂

This links into something that sparked a conversation recently. We play a game and therefore don’t have the real life worries of being wounded or killed - we just pop back up again following respawn I played CQB a couple of months ago, and the end result was a battered body with a large grin. You need to buy a gas blow-back rifle then. Lots of parts that are real-steel interchangeable, beautiful clacky bolt mechanism, decent trigger response. RECOIL All oily bits, no electrical bits. Realism with every 30 round mag change!

I quite like the programmer, although I recently had to wire it to Deans. Changing the VZ58 to Deans delivered an unexpected bonus; the Deans connectors are just the right size to keep the three battery cells in exactly the right places to make refitting the handguard simple, rather that the nightmare it was before.

Video games I think have influenced the die alot thing. Death in games is very gradual now, mistakes cost less. I used to play roguespear years ago with some military online buddies, 2 shots and you were dead, crippled and then dead. Loved it. I think the player base, getting younger with Thier experience of the world was bound to change things...that's ok. Gotta adapt or spectate

The fact is that Ares guns just can't handle the raw throbbing power of Ares owners.

The last time I had to use a stock pot filled with recently boiled water. Took about ten minutes of soaking. Also quite a few goes with a wrench. Whoever put the threadlock on it was very generous. Something like certain M4s are very easy to remove the front end and separate the outer barrel from the rest. Imagine the Scorpion will not be a similar case. Take your time and try not to get frustrated. Easier said than done admittedly. Good luck with it.

I had a similar situation not that long ago I boiled the kettle and poured the hot water over the offendingly stuck part, only took a few seconds for the heat to radiate through the part that was stuck and with little effort it unscrewed. Obvs, if you attempt this, have the rif pointing downwards over the sink to stop water going up and into your barrel

Germany certainly. They are very stringent. Honestly it's not worth the hassle, you should sell them before leaving the country. You need to satisfy the laws of any country you travel to.

I'd say yes and no. There have been quite a few changes where newer tech is slowly adopted, such as lipos and mosfets, but they're nowhere near essential and nothing touted as a game changer has remotely been anything like one

If you rock up to a stirling airsoft event on your own, you'll be put with a group or a group is made from people like you who are on their own or in smaller groups. It's an easy way to get chatting. As for chatting at games, can be hard. I have found a few tips help. Compliment people on their game play, good shots, nice move etc all increase the game play. Ask about their gear/guns, (be warned, some never shut up if you do that.) I have my first name on a velcro tag on my chest, I think it just makes it easier for people to chat to me etc as they don't have to remember my name or feel awkward if they have forgotten it. Also, remember other people are often on their own, know as much or as little as you do and basic questions etc such as "how long do we have for lunch", do we come back between games etc all help to break that ice.

I'm convinced TM should re-release their whole back catalogue as either GBBRs or NGRS's and then just buy an island with the profits

Leather is rated based on its texture. Cows with abundant water sources typically have softer hides, rated 'A'. Hides from cows living in hot, dry climates are typically D-hide rated.

Yes Gore-Tex (or the other brand names) should say ‘Waterproof OR breathable’ and not ‘Waterproof AND breathable’. Yes they are waterproof and yes they are breathable but not both at the same time. They only breath when the pores are not blocked on the other side by the larger water molecules.

In CQB i have single handily Cleared rooms by charging in getting a single kill, dying, then respawning and repeating till the jobs done while my team mates just stack up at the choke point.

I've put rain X or similar on the outer lenses to keep them useful. The a version for plastic now. Rain and visors was a terrible combination without something like this on them. Anti fog on the inside, rain X on the outside.
