My locals seem to be consistent with: Under 18 = full face covered, which can be separate eye and lower face protection, or a single piece full face mask. Under 16 = single piece full face mask only. It's entirely up to your local site(s) and their insurer(s) though. Something I'd flag up is that Amazon and eBay have a plethora of £20-ish full face masks being sold for airsoft use which then fess up in the details that they are not rated for even ~1.1J impacts. I'd stick to actual paintball brand-names like Dye or Valken when buying a mask.

A cold and dry day at Spec Ops, had a few tech issues in the morning that put a bit of the dampeners on things as well some people complaining about the play style of regulars (removing plate carriers and running at objectives unarmed). Solution from the marshalls was to require a weapon to be carried at all times. Said complainers could have just got the younger fitter members of their team to do the same as ours if it mattered that much - or just run yourself you lazy HPA Wankers LOL. I seemed to spend more time walking back to respawn than I did in the game zone too which got a little tedious. Hey ho. Afternoon picked up though with some fun games based largely on attacking and defending. One painful highlight was when we were attacking the tented village and there were 3 or 4 younglings hiding in a tent being covered by a HPA DMR in another tent. Muggings here did a charge down the flank of the tent where there were windows - managing to take out 2 or 3 of the little 'uns on the way through. Scuppering the DMR by accidentally on purpose tripping over a log which sent me flying through the air and crashing to the ground by the entrance of said tent. Where there happened to be one more youngling - not expecting someone my size to go from window height to ground level that quickly ?. I like to think I went down with some style, as I managed to get a few shots into the lad trading the kill just as the DMR guy resighted me. VIP game was a fun one which was won in the last 60 seconds by yeeting a smoke into the target area and then making a sacrificial run in the opposite direction. Which surprisingly, didn't end up with me being shot; but did allow our final sprinter to get into the destination. It was the culmination of a long push through killhouses driving the blues back towards their respawn. They were rather cheeky in the box domination game; by tying their bands to the handles of the boxes instead of just wrapping them round1, but there were some good gun battles to be had trying to get to each box that was being covered. It seemed my day was spent largely battling two of the HPA guys - getting the DMR in the neck by sneaking up on him and catching him by surprise as he was concentrating on taking out our guys attacking Ping Ping City. His mate on the other hand was very good at doing the same thing to me - he and I have form over the last few years plinking each other across the site more often than not just out of range of each other. Nice to see the regulars too. I'm volunteering to help with the new site next weekend; then that's it - I'm fecking off for three or four weeks. Hopefully ill have time to fettle the pews a bit before resuming service in the New Year. @Gunboat Diplomat according to my Samsung Watch I managed to run/jog 9 and a bit miles ? A lot of those were walking back to the Canadian flag though. Not the coldest day I've played - that was last year at AWA which was -6; btu we started at -3 and I don't think it got above 1 for the whole day. Was good fun shooting the hoar frost from the trees though.

Thanks, I've seen other koi keepers do the same, my pond is natural so I prefer to use the natural cover, a neighbour has fake owls on their shed & I think they're close enough to deter the herron as it's not been back (to my knowledge). My Dad lives in the middle of nowhere & has had a pond for a over 20 years where several species have raided it of simply fallen in... otters, herron, cats, dogs & donkeys to name a few. Dunno what size bird of prey he'd need to deter a donkey.

This times infinity. While you might save a few quid if they fail you could loose alot more. The same goes for second hand face protection, it may be a reputable brand but you don't know the history of it so could already be damaged even if they appear fine

Body and barrel are plastic. Stock is metal. Grip/pump is a touch on the flimsy side. A fair bit of metal in the internals and mag tube..

Well, it's a tech thread. As above, first get a chrono so you know what energy - and variation - you currently have. Otherwise you'll have no idea whether anything you swap in is an upgrade, sidegrade, or downgrade.

My barrel is now in the Ossi 74 and will have a load of rounds thought it on the 17th.

Ive had one since like 2019. Barrel is the same. This is just an updated version. Only thing I see different is the buffer tube instead of the collapsible stock, and mlok instead of keymod. My Black Cherry for reference, featuring my friends tactical cat ears ?

It should have a quick-change spring system so it should be easy to swap it without opening your gearbox but what is specifically wrong with your SA-H22's spring or your gun's performance that you deem it worth upgrading? Is its energy level so low that it's not competitive?

Honestly difference is that we care more if rifs get outlawed/harder or more expensive to obtain than cosplayers. Rifs are just the final 1%of the costume for them but the entire sport for us. So they will do whatever without and consideration of what the outcome could be for everyone else if it goes wrong.

I'm looking for recommendation please for a short (7-8" ish) M4 type rifle. Must be good quality and as lightweight as possible too. I don't want a folding stock; I'd like to fit a Magpul CTR. M-Lok would be nice, but not essential. I've found a few whilst searching online, but don't know much about them, so I'd welcome advice on those and any other suggestions please. If the heron does become a problem you could try a fine mesh or net over the pond, or alternatively a decoy falcon or owl to scare it away

And then I found out the mags are proprietary, and that put me off. And when it showed up it was £350, just a bit too much to tempt me. So the G3 got the love on the rebound ??? Still wish I'd got the Galil, but buying anything was silly really, I've packed everything into the loft except for the guns that need fixing / selling! It is a handsome gat though...

When our new cleaners started there was a very sheepish look on their faces, and it took them a while to summon up the courage to ask - we had our gun cases out following a skirmish day, and my plate carrier was hanging over the back of a chair.
