I appear ot have just 'accidentally' ordered one from Airsoft world ?5 points -
I already have an A&K Masada yes, but why not two? Edited out the sellers name. The seller slid into my Discord DMs asking if i'd be interested in taking it off their hands, all accessories and postage included for £150. Having just been paid with some overtime it was impossible to resist an early birthday present to myself. Gun works fine, apparently the selector is grinding which isn't a surprise having taken these apart before - the ambi selector kinda sucks and is a bit of a bastard when reassembling the gun. I'm now theory-crafting a shopping list to turn this into an actual DMR as it's currently at full-auto AEG limits (i've posted my shopping list in the electric guns section if anyone's interested). Might be nice to try out a different style of gameplay as well as the technical challenge of making a consistent DMR having not done this before. Local site limits for DMRs are 420fps so it gives me a nice bit of overhead for throwing heavier BBs.4 points

I do not normally post here, but this advert was brought to my attention. It does seem optimistic pricing when a new gun and 7 mags is around £650. Using 2/3 rule of thumb for second hand would be around £450 or am I missing something?2 points -
Hi all, newbie just joined up?
gavinkempsell reacted to Kol for a topic
Hi all, Just joined up today, after having got back into Airsoft a couple of weeks ago. In my youth I had a few cheap airsoft guns - couple of pistols, a shotgun and an AEG. Never been to a site. Picked up a few GBB pistols recently and have a cheap second hand AEG on the way. So I can visit my local site and see how I get on. Based in North Hampshire, so Camp Bravo Eversley has been suggested as a good place to go for a first skirmish. Looking to go at the end of the month. Glad to be part of the forum, and look forward to learning a lot over the coming months? ...oh and I already have the TM Hi Capa bug!?? Cheers?1 point -
Custom 3D printed parts
Dan Robinson reacted to Sgtpepper for a topic
I needed a fire selector plate for my PTS Masada which is no longer available. Airsoft Engenuity ( find them on Facebook) were able to quickly, and at a reasonable price, make one. I highly recommend them. This is the service they can provide. "As you know, I have 3D design, print, scanning and CNC engraving services.. so pretty comprehensive and can design and make most things out of all plastics.. cant do anyting metal other than light CNC engraving."1 point -
Welcome! Sounds like you’ve got the bug where it comes to collecting gear. Unfortunately for your bank account it only gets worse when you start playing games ? Can certainly recommend Z-Mart if you fancy a CQB fix, would advise bringing a torch or weapon light! Also makes a great excuse to get a tracer too.1 point

Welcome There are loads of good sites round our way, Bravo is good, and if you enjoy it you've got Ironsight in Andover, Red Alert in Newbury, Camouflage Airsoft in Alton, and if it's a wet day and you're not afraid of the dark Z-Mart in Newbury.1 point

Ahoy and welcome. If you're a spendy sort don't visit the classifieds! Skirmishing is great fun, just go with the attitude that you're there to get shot and call the hits, rather than to reenact the starring role in Extraction, and you'll have a blast. If it's your actual first time, go along and have a listen when they shout out for the rentals - there will be a basic what-to-do briefing before the main brief, the most important parts of which are never, ever remove your eye protection in the game zone, and always take your mags out (pistols) to and fire until they're clear and put them on safe before entering the safe zone. Airsofters tend to be super friendly and keen to help, so if you have any questions, or run into problems with your guns, just ask around and folk will be happy to help you out.1 point

My 2 cents; Kwa mp9. I've had one for years and it is one of my faves. Fairly light but sturdy. Nice rate of fire if needed. Small enough to be easily wielded for tight cqb and still has nice enough range. Despite being small, there's still plenty of room for attachments if you want to run a tacticool look with suppressors, peq/torches, optics, grips etc. Because its small, if you decide a gbbr is not for you, you could still use it as a secondary, albeit it's a bulkier secondary than a pistol. Its quite loud and looks proper sexy. Mags are 28 rounds (I think, might be wrong) so you have to conserve your ammo as so many have already said but it's a blast. Again, as already said, mags are heavy and pricey, but running an mp9 primary in cqb has been so much fun over the years. I did dual wielding mp9's once.....Once. reloads were a bit tricky due to how big and weighty they are but wow was it fun! I can't offer much more regarding gbbr. I do have a we g36 but I can't comment on it in game as I haven't yet got it site legal (shoots hot out of the box) but it's nice to hold and surprisingly light due to its polymer build.1 point

Helikon-Tex History of Camouflage eBook
Tommikka reacted to Jamsandwich for a topic
To be fair they did very briefly mention the use of camouflage by hunters prior to WW1 but it was just a sentence. It's a fairly well written brief read, though I'm guessing it's acting more as a marketing tool mostly discussing patterns that they sell with a few others. Must say, I'm slightly tempted to try Pencott as a result. The bit on camouflage in the animal kingdom was quite amusing in its simplicity but I think my favourite bit was the TigerStripe pic after all the other camo patterns being presented in actual environments.1 point -
I wonder if the assorted 'upgrades' are the reason its faulty...... that said the bare faced cheek of selling a non working Dytac for 350 is impressive in its own way.....1 point

Asg 30k infinity or warhead base?
DerDer reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
I'd lean towards the warhead, the ramp up speed makes for a better percieved snappyness. Only downside (although afaik they might have alleviated it on their newer motors) is the contacts on the warhead are much more delicate, so a lot more care needs to be taken on the install rather than stuffing wires in willy nilly.1 point -

Tactical Pith Helmet reacted to Gunboat Diplomat for a topic
That was a great write up, sounds like an incredible event. Definitely something I'd like to do once a bit more experienced. How did it work for those who were cast as civilians or the ineffective national army roles? If the former, are you expected to act as a bit of an NPC and not do much/any fighting? Do the national army players just take bribes to lay down their arms or run away at the first sign of trouble? Seems like an awesome way to create a real feeling world, if you get cast in a more passive role but were hoping for front-line action is that just part and parcel of participating or was there some flexibility that meant all the factions got a decent amount of trigger time over the weekend?1 point -

Hi all, I have an issue with my MP5 where its showing the red mofset light. It was all fine when I got it (2nd hand but only fieled twice), used it multiple times in the garden, took it to a skirmish, played the first game no issues. 2nd game get the red light, switch batteries all OK for abit then got the red light again. This continued so I swapped guns for the rest of the day and brought ordered a new Lipo thinking mine were maybe getting old snd not holding their charge properly anymore. New Lipo (one suggested on here) arrives and problem continues, only now the gun is permanently in safe mode. I can put it in to dry fire but the moment you pull the trigger the ref light comes on and it's back to safe mode. It seems to be completely stuck in this mode. Spoke to Eagle6 and DavesCustom who either couldn't help or didn't want to and CombatSouth who said they had another two in the workshop exactly the same. One stock, one upgraded and they hadn't been able to identify the cause so I'm not alone. Has anyone else come across this? And if so has anyone found a fix?0 points

well, i should be happy right now... finally got my VFC M249 from SWIT airsoft delivered by UPS, but found the customs monkeys have got to it... boxes had been unwrapped, but then thrown back together with just a cross of border force tape holding the wrappings together and most of the inner boxes exposed due to the bubble wrap being hastily thrown around them first parcel contained the M249 and spare mags, every box and bag roughly opened, cardboard packing "frames" clearly disturbed. opened the bag to withdraw the gun, and found the front sight has been broken off. two of the tabs of the dovetail broken off and all the bits thrown in the bag. second parcel contained the external gas tank, again opened. this time the monkeys have used a screwdriver or something similar to pry off the end plate of the box to get to the inside (rather than opening it up using the two plastic tabs that hook onto the pegs on the rest of the box) the end result was that the plastic cover plate has been split in two different places. my brand new gun and its been broken by some incompetent, useless, clumsy customs monkey, i am FUCKING LIVID!!!! P.S @Skullchewer, this was the new toy i was teasing about bringing on sunday... but due to the damage i dont know if i will be bringing it now =/0 points
