"Domination" seems to be a popular word. As far as I can see, it's not about the actual experience of airsofting so much as willy-waggling over having the absolute peak top extreme bestest gnu on site. And to be fair, renting a master-race gun for a day is a far cheaper way of slaking that thirst than building one yourself. Me, I get more satisfaction from each hit the worse the BB-flinger is. Shotgun, AEP, unhopped revolver and even springer pistol kills are the most memorable, not BRRRRTing.5 points

My teen brother plays with a combo of a CYMA M14, and a spring pistol from a sporting goods store, spray-painted red and white. He won the QC lottery, and the spring pistol actually shoots straight. It's downright hilarious to see him getting kills on guys running 1K+ HPA rigs with it...2 points

HELP I’m lost on this one

On the odd occasion I take out mine I connect it to the HPA tank but not the battery. Rotate the barrels by hand to chamber one BB and fire. Rotate to next barrel and shoot. No battery, no spinny spin spin.2 points -
Boomarms has always been a great place in the past to get unique or hard to find parts as well as good prices on more common items. However their recent service has taken a really bad turn. Their stock indication is a joke with 4 of my recent orders only partially fulfilled as they never had stock. These parts are still showing in stock on their website. Their communication is also terrible. They are not responding to most emails. What really has annoyed me is my latest delivery. This was only a partial shipment as 7 items were not actually stock. However what was shipped had many issues. 6 items are missing that they say were shipped and 3 items were the wrong version of what I ordered. For now I advise people to stay away from them until they can sort themselves out. James1 point

Mind you even if it is 10% off RRP is still pushing into Mack's territory *Edit* It is the NGRS version1 point -

No, you're fine. See @Leo Greer's first response. Voltage determines how fast the motor wants to spin, and your gun is designed to run on 11.1V. Higher C / amps from the battery is always better, the motor will only draw what it needs. You never want the battery to be the limiting factor.1 point

I cant remember off the top of my head, but it did look nice. That was in a random hobbby shop in Osaka, they had a very long wall full of guns and racks and racks of upgrade parts. The exchange rate is very good at the moment and you could pick a bargin, especially if you get it tax free. I got a load of good quality fishing gear and saved myself a few quid.1 point -

Well, after the review period PayPal have resolved this in my favour. I don't believe Bunny Workshop even responded to them. I have had a few recent bad experiences with HK dealers. However Rainbow 8, Armsaholic, WGC and even jkarmy have been great. I will stick to them for now. James1 point

No such thing as “too much”. Voltage controls the motor speed, discharge is the actual power the battery is putting out. In terms of voltage: A battery with too high of voltage can cause overspin or PME, but that G&G is designed for an 11.1v and should run it just fine. In terms of discharge: there is no such thing as “too much discharge”. A motor will only draw what it needs, unless there’s a short in the circuit. Thus, the battery can be too weak, but not too strong. I commonly run my loaner AEGs on a 5A 140C 11.1v.1 point

HELP I’m lost on this one
Pollynator_bravo2 reacted to Tommikka for a topic
In this video there are what were the 3 common chronos in paintball back in the day: Big red - professional site chrono …. Turn it on, shoot over it and it’s tough for bad aim Little yellow - my first personal chrono. A bit of a pain as you have to press the button and then reset each shot. But it did the job Grey X radar - my second personal chrono. No need to keep resetting, just hold the button and shoot as much as you like A site version was/is also available, which you just turn on and can be mounted on a tripod or stand But now I’ll use a Virtue Clock, which is point and shoot (it’s possible to chrono someone from a bit of a distance - which may not be the most accurate method but handy for marshalling in game before approaching to make a spot check)1 point -

Pollynator_bravo2 reacted to Tommikka for a topic
It’s also dependant on what chronograph you have access to and it’s capabilities If it’s a chamber / tube style that you shoot though then it would be ‘very carefully’ If it’s one that your shoot over then that’s much easier If you have to hold a button then many hands are required (unless you can tape it down), if it can be switched on and fired over without touching then it can be used with ease1 point -

It hadn't occurred to me, is it 1 live barrel or all of them ?, if it's just 1 then my suggestion should potentially work, but if it's all of them it'd be like Russian roulette, good luck with that 🤕1 point -

Filling the void of no pewing for a few months (bloody work shifts) by tinkering with my AKs. Put my RPK back to wood stock and put a folding stock on my AK. Keeping the side folding reciever because I know I'll want to put it back on an AK in the future. Next pewing will be first weekend of August at Battle Lakes. May have to say goodbye to the RPK within the year due to a possible move to London as a mature student. So I need to give it a good few run outs.1 point

Nerd stuff, related to my pretend-space-soldier costume. It's from a far future sci-fi setting predicated on absolute ideological zealotry, where the slightest digression from the approved narrative in deed or word or even suspected thought results in accusations of heresy and non-humanity. So, nothing at all like the kind, gentle, nuanced and balanced political debate of CURRENT_YEAR.1 point -

Had a broken tappet plate and since I was in there I fitted a NanoAAB mosfet. It's a Tokyo Marui M14 with a wooden stock and firing at 330 FPS on 0.2g. I'll be using it this weekend as I've got a woodland day. I'm still deciding if I want to S hop it or not. The range on the M14, straight out the box, is pretty impressive so do I need to tinker with it?1 point -

So this one was a bit of a gamble. listed as boneyard on BBguns4less with no details of the issues. I had a few NGRS AK parts floating around so I bought it and when it arrived it was missing the fire selector lever that sits inside the receiver and is attached to the fire selector. The hop dial, which sets the hop, was snapped off and missing. Luckily I has a spare selector lever and I replicated the dial from another of my NGRS AK's and 3D printed it and it works well. It looks like this was a brand new, in the box, AEG that they robbed for parts - very happy with the result. And I also picked up a Canik TP9 whcih fires differently from about 99% of other airsoft pistols. It's striker fired, not hammer fired, and I quite like it. but me being me, I couldn't leave it alone as the extended mag release tended to dump the mag when holstered in my Warrior universal holster so off the the 3D printer again to make a 3mm thick extension to replace the standard 5mm version that comes with the pistol.1 point -
