Oh, cool. Yeah, 3pm at the saloon it is then! You'll have to make yourselves known to me, but I do stand out a bit. 6 foot dickhead covered in tatoos and dreadlocks.

  5. Going for the Tokyo Marui prototype look here. Mock up in 3D resin proved fruitful as I need to adjust the butt cap as it's a bit tight and the designer is an idiot and managed to design the mag release spring tension the wrong way so that it always dumps the mag instead of retaining it. These should be easy fixes. Anyone want to buy one when I'm finished?

Definately up for a couple of beers lads Im gonna have a thirst after our journey down that might last a couple of hours!! 👍 I’ve been kinda saving for the event to allow me a couple of purchases, fingers crossed there’s something that takes my fancy, I seem to be getting a bit picky in my older years 🤭

    Why the sudden hype?

Yup. I'm just waiting for all the "why has my Vorsk smg stopped working?" threads.

  8. does it? because if they have a problem with hpa players then lowering the limits for those players will be as effective as a lower speed limit sign is at preventing speeding...... ahh, so you do understand that hpa in and of itself isn't the problem, it's the person operating it....... yes, i get how annoying it is to play somewhere with regular occurrences of players who are, one way or another, being assholes. but there's only 1 option available that you can do to fix it, and that's to move, either to a better site or if that's not an option move out of the hobby. because people will always be the worst kind of people and there ain't no changing that.

  10. A few things turned up from Evike Europe today and now I feel like a very special little snowflake (because who runs an m40a3 these days, let alone a gas one). I've wanted an airsoft m40a3 or m40a5 for over a decade and I'm glad I finally got one that is good! Most of the m40s around aren't to my liking (none of them are properly VSR compatible), but this one... I love the KJW/Tanaka m700 platform, and it's just that with a fancy m40a3/5 stock and shorter outer barrel. All that's left for this build is a nice Vortex scope and it'll be completely done! Also will test out this adjustable bolt over the weekend. I think it will still require the gas routers to do most of the heavy lifting, but the screw in the bolt itself looks like it could be useful for fine tuning when I need to drop or gain like 0.1J or so a bit more consistently than adjusting the hammer spring tension. Now I just need to get a few parts to finish the other m700...

  12. I don't get the hype over the new vorsk smg. more people getting into GBBRs is a really good thing imo, but not if they're burned by a bad purchase. But this is an old platform, cloned and made to look not quite like what it should and then sold by a company that has really questionable QC and it's being paraded around as a new thing. It's not even particularly cheap. Am I missing something?

  13. That's great thanks @TacticalWaifu So, feedback to the forum developer is: 1. Please add a link to the wishlist that is easily discoverable from the classifieds menu, or from the top level page 2. Please give an option to filter out completed listings (in fact best to default the filter to exclude, rather than leave them included), or a method to easily delete all completed listings from the wishlist. (I've got 6 pages of ads I'm stuck with forever at the moment) 3. Please improve the page layout for mobile portrait mode. And the landscape mode could do with a tweak too.

  19. looks like the 1st tooth (the big thick one) is a little high, it could be rubbing against the top of the sector gear, but I've got zero experience of the eve so might just be a "thing". However is easy fixed grinding it down. you're right though perhaps leave it for a few games and see how it performs.

  20. Don't forget Ambush at Botley - not a bad site - they just need to work on the fields a little as it was primarily a Paintball site - but they've knocked that on the head in favour of Airsoft.

  21. Sunday just gone was good at ambush activities. Had some rifs play up but day went well enough with no rain during the times we were out . Players count was lower than normal but the field is flexible enough that lower player count just means more chance for stealth, flanking and 1v1 moments. They had a new marshall do the safety talk which was incredibly slow but it was his first go at it so will see next time. They've built a new fort in the stockade section which really changes up the defence options on that part of the map.T he game modes weren't as varied as they could be because they took parts on different parts of the field worked well enough.

  24. I've yet to have first hand experience, but I do travel through their favourite London areas frequently. I'm not sure how I would react, but those oil based banners and high vis vests may be used as a weapon against them. Have thought about signing myself up to one of their training days and taking some used oil from my van and giving them a taste of their own medicine. I'm all for saving the planet - hell, I drive an electric car, install heat pumps and have been ahead of the curve with domestic heating controls for 15 years. But those tossers deserve a good hiding for their clueless ill informed shenanigans. Ironically funded by a descendant of the Getty family. Aaaaaaannnnnnnndddddddd breathe.

  25. Thank you for the fast shipping @ak2m4 So as it turns out, after ordering the madbull piston, shims and motor, all I really needed was the motor! My original concern was how quickly the motor heated up as well as the battery. When I opened it up, I noticed the piston doesn't look stock - this wasn't mentioned in the listing when I purchased it. They had mentioned a tech put in the new nub, titan and trigger, but nothing else: Whilst the piston head wasnt the best, as it is stock, i suppose if it isn't broken don't fix it. The teeth on it look ok. However, the AOE looked a little odd at first: Although depending on how you look at it, it's not too bad, especially when you match the next set of teeth, and consider that the previous tech put in sorbothane padding in the cylinder: Whilst you could shave down that first tooth, the clearance seems fine. I figured I would trust the work that's already been done to it rather than complicating it further. But I will heed your advice @Speedbird_666 - if something seems off in future I'll replace the piston head as I now have the parts to do so! I have noticed since putting it back together that the safety selector is a bit dodgy, I'll rectify that at some point this weekend. I'm new to this sort of tech work so let me know if you think what I've decided is garbage or not lol

  26. I have a video of one doing a drinks can at 27m. I'd got my phone in my left hand, AMT hardballer in the right and did it first go. Very, very smooth, well made and accurate airsoft gun. Like a luxury TM. They are still going and you can still get parts, they're just a small, niche concern now. I appreciate it's not everyone's bag but for 1911s, I genuinely don't think they've been surpassed.

Nothing (& no one) is perfect, but until there's a better alternative to PayPal g&s, I'll stick with it, in fact whenever I'm paying for something online, even very well known secure sites, I'll still look to see if PayPal is an option, it's another layer of protection to fall back on if needed.

    LCT AKM (TX-MiG)

Maybe around the £275 mark (worked out at 1/2 to 2/3rds of RRP) assuming the torch is a repro and the side mount is an LCT ZB-13 zenitco style rail. Maybe I'm smoking crack/maybe not, ultimately put it up and see what you get offered If you're after more.

  32. Not strictly for me But thought it a good starter for my mate's youngest who we took out the other weekend. Gearbox has a nice sound to it and seems pretty responsive. Post Offices in Reading will not be safe again. LOL Patrolbase were excellent in that the original one we chose wasn't in stock, but they price matched this and got it out for next day delivery with zero fuss.

  34. A quick search had resulted in someone claiming "Rooavenger63" on Airsoft-Hub is actually Andy Page... This would certainly appear to also be @Rooavenger on Facebook... And who do we know on here that sounds like that? Mack's frequent flyer, @avenger63! As @Tackle said, not taking G&S is a massive 🚩 - regardless of bad experiences (which everyone can have), it's really the only way to offer a modicum of protection to both parties... but given who he appears to be on here, good luck 🤣

  47. One of these fellows. I have no idea about pistols, I think it's some sort of Colt Python .357" Magnum PI inspired thing. I bought it because, well, I don't have a revolver, and I might want to use it in Very Hard Mode in Very CQB. Out of the box: Quality is mixed. The outer barrel is metal, and there are metal weights under the grips, giving it some nice heft. The frame is a decent solid plastic, I don't have any robustness concerns there. However, the grips are a cheap feeling hard plastic, there are too few points of contact with the frame, and too much free play in both the grips and the weights under them. No big drama, I've packed it with tape. The mechanism feels OK. The plastic cylinder is solid enough and the shells are metal. When flipped out, the hinge feels fairly robust, but I doubt you'll be doing that much, if ever, should you be inclined to field it - read on for why. The inner barrel and nozzle that keys into the shells is sprung to press it back and engage solidly, without making closing or rotating the cylinder too onerous. Initial range shooting: A disappointing and inconsistent 0.3 - 0.5J with either 0.2g or 0.25g on ASG ULTRAIR green gas at 15C - the minimum recommended temperature. The note in the box from Bullseye claimed 242fps on 0.2g (0.54J) with Swiss Arms 130psi gas at 14C. The energy inconsistency is reflected in shooting inconsistency too. It's 90% accurate, 60% of the time, but there are a lot of wild fliers. The rear sight adjusts for uppy-downy and sidey-sidey, although that's somewhat of a gimmick given the inconsistency. Some sellers claim there's a fixed hop. Nope, nothing, you'll need to lob beyond point-blank ranges. It's gas efficient and I put about 80 shots through it without refilling (or needing to). Bad Influence Airsoft tested its HG-133 sibling and saw 150 shots out of it. After investigation: On disassembly (careful now, the 4 screws are in 3 different sizes), it turns out that the gas is routed from the reservoir and valve up a channel on the inside of the frame, sealed by o-rings at top and bottom. They were essentially unlubed, and the frame side needs to be screwed on as securely as possible without stripping out the plastic in order to get a good seal. I've silicone lubed the seals now, or you could alternatively just spooge as much silicone as you like into the nozzle that feeds into the back of the shells - there's no hop to contaminate, so go wild. The excess will get blown out. Another issue is that the cylinder is rotated by a bar attached to the trigger. Cocking the hammer pulls the trigger partially back and raises the bar, but not quite enough to completely rotate the cylinder. Only when the trigger is pulled does it complete the last of the rotation and line up the shell, and it seems that it can still be slightly misaligned when it spurts. Cocking the hammer and then giving the cylinder a tiny nudge to get it fully aligned before pulling the trigger seems to help. Since the most effective way to use is pre-cocked, this isn't as onerous as it sounds. With it lubed and the cylinder aligned, I am now actually seeing the advertised 0.6 - 0.7J out of it. It's still not super-consistent and the lack of hop means it's still a short ranged plinker at best. Loading: Yes, the shells come out, and the shell extractor works well enough. There are no spares though, so doing so is fraught with hazards. At about £10-11 for another 6 shells, reloading via shells will get expensive, and you'll doubtless lose them as fast as you buy them if you actually try reloading in-game. However, it turns out that you don't have to. Just point the gun up at your face, and drop a BB into the front of each shellazine as you rotate the cylinder. You can press them in individually with a finger, but you don't even have to do that. Fill two, rotate, fill two, rotate, fill two, then do another complete rotation and the nozzle will push each BB back to exactly where they need to be. With practice, you can reload this thing in-game that way, and quicker than fumbling around with shells. So I reckon that if you actually want to skirmish with it, you'll never bother to actually open the cylinder. [Update] Play: The real effective range against a fully exposed target is maybe 40 feet. To be fair, HFC do list the range as effective/maximum 37/48 ft which is surprisingly realistic, although it lies about the hop and magazine so I suspect it's from the wrong gun or just random text. So is it useless? Well, no, not quite, and the most memorable kills I got with it were point-blanking folk in a killhouse. With the hammer cocked, you can get an effective close range shot off. However, the double-action trigger is so heavy that you're unlikely to get a second. This wasn't a problem in practice given the intensity of the action, and surprisingly, neither was the capacity. Most hits were trade-offs, I never lived live long enough to get through 6 chambers, and it can be reloaded on the way back to respawn. It's daft to try and use it versus just about anything else, but this is a daft hobby, and I had fun with it in that specific situation. tl;dr summary: It's a working revolver, it shoots BBs about as far as a cheap springer or (unhopped) AEP, and you can just about skirmish it. For £53 plus postage, I'm happy enough with it, although (e.g.) an AA R17 can be had for much the same money and will outshoot it all day long.
