  1. Fancied a revolver, and this Tanaka S&W M67 took my fancy, not fired it yet, but it feels very well made

  3. Got me some Kickass DNC in Warsaw Poland for my buddies and myself last weekend, Helikon make a great range, you'll never see it in the UK though. Israeli customs pulled me aside wondering what the hell I was doing bringing them into the country a few days ago. I imagine getting to Madrid it won't be so bad ..

  4. Being such a Double Eagle fan-boi for so long, and also very much enjoying my G&G G36C, I just had to pick up this bad boy! I haven't chrono'd this yet, but the power is amazing. I can reach out to a full 14 or even 15m (if I aim at a slight, or perhaps extreme angle upwards). I really must work out how to install a hop unit into this, so I can unlock its full potential. 20m might be within my grasp! The 0.20g BBs disappear into the distance with a beautifully curved ballistic trajectory (that goes in every direction, thereby proving Schroedinger's Uncertainty Principal) before slamming into any object with a resonating 'tic' or 'ping' or even 'flump' The Rate of Fire is a little disappointing, I've only managed 1 shot every 5 or 10 seconds so far, but I'm sure that will improve with practice. Hey at least I'll conserve those expensive BB's! Talking of which, I need to source more magazines, I fear one magazine may not allow me to dominate the battlefield, whatever the RoF. I am definitely considering building a lightweight loadout to support this as it will definitely become my primary for the next skirmish. The impressive low weight (of less than a half a bag of sugar) means I'll be dancing around the site faster than those pesky kids Now... what to accessorize it with? I may have to transfer my 1.25-5x LVPO across from my HK416. A torch and laser combo for CQB is surely a must too. Perhaps a real-steel pistol grip (could be glued on somehow)? Edit: For those envious chaps who want to pick one of these up, here's a link I was soooo lucky that Action Hobbies had this lightly used one on sale for a mere 147,460.53 Vietnamese Dong

  6. Give it ten years, hopefully Brushless will be 'standard' much like they are with RC Planes/Helis etc. And hopefully, costs will come down as well when competing companies and sales volumes rise.

  7. Considering the miniscule size of packed down Windrunners I had no problem this time. But my Warsaw/Tel Aviv/Madrid trip is 12 days being done with just carry on luggage. Real struggle to get my new trousers and UBACS in as it is. I basically bought all their DNC stuff in the shop bar the really expensive climate jacket.

  8. Phew. I was just about to order one of these beasts with the intention of making it a DMR. I think I'll save up a bit and get this. I know it's a bit fancy but sometimes you should treat yourself https://www.justbbguns.co.uk/mini-electric-ak47-bb-gun-hb103/

  10. After years of "No, don't like those trousers, nah, notthat rig" etc, I am finally mostly happy with my standard loadout for my DMR.

  11. Great day at Rifts inaugural battlesim at The Ridge yesterday. Started off with my set of webbing, didn’t get on with it when trying to change magazines quickly or access things from the rear pouches. Changed over to the Arktis chest rig, decided not to run my belt as there wasn’t really any requirement for a sidearm or extra magazines.

  14. As an avid airsoft player with well over 10 years of experience, I've been on the hunt for a high-quality brushless motor to upgrade my Krytac DMR. After experiencing issues with a previous brushless motor that had its connection tab break during my first skirmish, I stumbled upon the Solink SL-39000 brushless motor while browsing an HK online shop. I was excited to give it a try, and I'm happy to say that it exceeded my expectations. Before switching to the Solink motor, my trigger-happy play style caused a lot of issues with my high torque motor. I experienced overheating, fast battery drain, and had to set up pre-cocking to improve trigger response, which led to increased wear and tear on my gearbox. But with the Solink brushless motor, all of those problems were solved. The instant torque greatly improved my trigger response, and I no longer needed to use pre-cocking. Plus, my gun was noticeably quieter without the annoying squeaking noise of the gearbox. I have attached my testing video below, so you can see for yourself. With the Solink motor, I no longer have to worry about overheating during intense semi-spamming sessions, and my small 1400mAh battery lasted me a whole day of skirmishing (I used to have to bring three batteries for a day of skirmish with my old high torque motor). I've fired over 20,000 semi shots with this new motor, and it has worked flawlessly. The Solink brushless motor arrived well-packed in a black padded box, with the pinion gear already attached and locktited. The build quality is exceptional, and the connection tabs are rock solid. The pinion gear meshes perfectly with my gearbox, and the resistance suggests high-quality magnets are used in the motor. It fits tightly in my PTS EPG motor grip, which I prefer for their high quality and comfort. And I love the small switch located at the base of the motor that allows me to adjust the speed from 39000 (H position) to around 31000 (L position) to cater to different setups. Pictures attached below: The Solink brushless motor is also highly compatible with various AEGs and FCUs. I've tested it in all seven of my AEGs, and it worked flawlessly with my G&G FCU (plug and play) as well as my Gate Titan and Gate Aster SE FCU (with brushless support turned on from the Gate app). Overall, brushless motors offer numerous advantages over brushed motors, including high efficiency, higher torque and speed, less heat production, and greater durability. The Solink brushless motor delivers on all of these fronts and offers exceptional performance, reliability, and efficiency. If you're looking for a top-notch motor for your next airsoft project, I highly recommend giving the Solink brushless motor a try. My rating is a solid 10/10!

  16. There is this guy with the TNT hop unit and barrel hitting 50m targets with no problem. He is using 0.4g bbs and a higher fps than we can have over here, but it seems to be the real deal. I will have a go with heavier bbs first to see how I get on. I have already spent a small fortune on the gun and mags so I don't wanty to keep spending money on it, although I probably will anyway.

  17. They are very simple to take apart. Just need a few allen keys and screwdrivers. Took me about ten mins to oils each mag. Mine are still holding gas from when I did it yesterday.

  18. True the uptake will probably be somewhat similar to lipo batteries. Interesting that thus far (to this best of my knowledge) no company has them as standard in the AEGs. Think one of them (possibly VFC?) were hinting at introducing a range with them out of the box.

  19. We can hope, but performance in RC racing is objective, while in airsoft, the narratives in our head are as important as cruel reality. We're still at this energy.

  26. Awwww c'mon chaps, give the guy a tiny break I'm thinking he either wants to generate content for sites to promote themselves, for which he'll charge a fee. Well it's an interesting business proposition, though unlikely to be particularly lucrative, given the size of the market. At least it'd be making a bit of pocket-money to help him fund his gear. Or he wants to hone his video editing skills whilst promoting the sport of airsoft. In which case 'go ahead', surely? Either way, no need to golden-rain on his parade already, just cos he's been a bit.... 'enthusiastic' You old cynics! * * Venn diagram of 'old' and 'cynic' usually includes me squarely in the middle, but I'm obviously feeling generously 'fluffy' today

  32. Army Armament R85A2. Despite all the listings i've seen of this RIF saying the handguard is nylon/plastic, this one appears to be metal. Only gripe is that the sling loop got snapped during shipping. Fire-support have an ICS one in stock, chances are I can modify it to fit. Just need to get a dovetail to RIS converter so I can use optics with it, an A2 style charging handle and then it's on to internal upgrades.

Work wise aside from a paint job in some sort of woodland colouring. I think this is it, though the temptation to add a grip, rail covers and supressor is real! But as it stands. My Tokyo Marui g3 with lct rail, harris bipod, tm mp5/g3 claw mount and Vortex optics.

  34. The trick as always is convincing the retailer that they do in fact offer said warranty. It is a very specific as to what is user error and a very short list of manufacturing issue.... (I think I have read here that SoCom are not useless when it comes to warranty/gun issues)

  38. Given the ending of my current work contract, and a possible period of being a bit skint, I thought I'd invest wisely, so to add to my 5000 0.20g for plinking and test-firing... 10KG of Warhead 0.28g Bio BBs, should see my running through a good few skirmishes (especially if I turn the fun switch to semi, a bit more often) £105 inc next day delivery. Just over a tenner for each bag of ~3,500 BBs seems like a good deal to me.

  42. I must be cursed. At first, the unity riser I got from AliExpress went back to China because the courier was retarded, then I ordered one specific stock and received a different one, then ordered two Helikon windstoppers that were never posted, now I ordered a Maxx ME Sport hop unit and got a Pro. What the fuck?

  43. DISASTER Oh woe, woe is me! Barely 4,101,226 * shots into its life, my poor gnu has died! The trigger has decided to have a Quite Sudden And Catastrophic Unscheduled Disassembly (I think it broke) so my hopes of Total Battlefield Domination are dashed! I always said Double Eagle were tripe, but did anyone listen? Did they? What a tragic waste of my 0.0002188662727073758 Bitcoin! * (or maybe it was about 25 ... due to the previous owner not furnishing me with a full history of its usage, we shall never know)
