  1. With all the shit been going on in my life past 8mths I’ve definitely developed a “fuck it , if it makes you happy do it !” Attitude(I used to be quite take my time lets see how things go , but after loosing my oldest friend and having a bit of a near call my self I’ve realized you can’t count on tomorrow even happening let alone plans coming to fruition) SO t’other night whilst wandering aimlessly through Tinter’Web I came across a Cyma mosfet edition XM177 on Bullseye , now always had a bit of a crush on that particular AR so I bought it , and when I got in this afternoon it was sat there waiting for me ! 👍 Oh so much a happy chappy ! 😍

Still need to make a few covers for the rail, scope and suppressor but I think the rest of it finished now. This is a mix of wildwood and greenzone and they do blend well together.

  3. I do already have a CA one that I’ve had for yrs but that’s painted up in a BHD/Blood diamond ‘scheme’ so not usable for all scenarios , so I just HAD to have another ! 😇

  4. A likely story. How long have you been into airsoft and you only just got one... ...very suspicious 😏

  6. My HAO MK16 rail arrived recently to give me an option besides the MK18 rail on my MWS. To keep it company I've picked up a new PEQ15 and weapon light, some Blaster Devils and Geoffs SP .30s to see which I prefer, some MP7 mags and, because Ground Zero never chrono players and I don't want to be a dick with a hot gun, a chrono

  7. Hey folks, just a quick one to say that as of today you can browse and filter airsoft sites with this nifty little page. Read more about the whole autumn update on the blog: https://playairsoft.uk/blog/playairsoft-autumn-update/

  9. Looks like a speed ball field. Yawn Entirely not my style, but as said above. It needs a lot more cover. I would look at digging in some trench systems as well, to give it some variety. Personally, I would want to see a more built up mini village, than two houses and some barriers in the middle. That's going to get really boring, really quick with just a line moving back and forward. Sneaky flanking routes are non existent and locking down areas of that map will be super simple with a half confident team. Meaning everyone is soon going to get all pissy that hey cannot move forwards and then all the shit starts.

  10. That you took that post more seriously than intended I was going to make a joke about regulating you specifically, for being crazy.....

  11. Electric blankets kill more people than firearms in the UK. A greater number of people still are killed by sexual contact with other peoples genitals. Licensing things on the basis of aggregate fatalities would see the owners of asbestos ceilinged buildings facing more stringent regimes than firearms owners. The 'it's more dangerous' argument can lead you anywhere the cherry picked stats can display fallacious justification for.

  12. Firstly welcome, I’ll suggest what others will suggest, take it for a game first, see how you get on. (If you’re anything like I was when I started you’ll nah I wanna spend money on upgrades) haha but seriously go get a game or two under your belt, heavy(er) bb’s and you should be fine.

I’m in too my Pencott GZ as well , I’m currently running Mordor tactical sniper oversuit , boonie or baseball cap , Blackhawk! Light gray knee pads and I’ve got an opscore helmet cover . Rig wise I either run an OG Blackhawk! S.T.R.I.K.E. Plate carrier with GZ pouches on it , or I also have an NI style chest rig in GZ plus a fully loaded belt set up of holster x 1 , fastex mag pouches x 6 , pistol mag pouch x 1 and grenade pouches x 2 plus a dump pouch on my left thigh . Unfortunately haven’t any pics of it but think people can guess what it looks like ? 😁

  16. They come with those scopes? I've looked around at replicas before for a similar-ish use/build and there's a couple out there but very little info.

  17. Cant afford new, but really looking forward to receiving this FMA Team Wendy Exfil copy.. with headset for my earpro (seeing as TW sued FMA and won, but missing the point that this is not a counterfeit version but a homage, and not a safety helmet.. purely cosplay / airsoft / prop) woot woot! Thats stunning with the real wood grips.. I love me a 1911, I used to have a real one, I'm keen to get a few Airsoft versions, this TM looks amazing.

  19. Take a look at death rates in America. More people killed by Passive Smoking/second hand smoke than guns. The VCRA came about because Hazel Blears and the ACPO didn't like replica guns, and having failed to deal with "real" gun crime wanted a headline grabbing piece of legislation that made them look tough. And before the legislation, police forces were instructed to stop recording incidents where no weapon was fired or recovered as "unknown" and record them as "replica" instead...

Thanks. That's good to hear, I've ordered myself some gloves and Kneepads after thinking about it. I've got some black camo combat trousers, t-shirts and a jacket, so I should be all set.

  22. @Rogerborg I understand where you’re coming from. My SG553 had shit wiring and overload on contacts was causing it to lock up. I’m not sure what batteries the motor or wiring was rated to but anything above 25C in G&G AEGs used to be problematic according to the guy who handled my upgrades. Unless you know exactly what’s in your AEGs and you know what to do with that knowledge the above information would likely do the trick with a margin of safety. I doubt a lot of us here know enough about electrical wiring to play the game of “let’s put the biggest, beefiest battery and see what happens”… What you suggested about rewiring has actually happened to my SG553.

  23. Sadly, nobody really cares, except the (hypothetical) unethical trader's creditors. As per... another... thread, I worked for a company that folded and phoenixed three times before finally going under. Administrators were brought in to fatten themselves on the last of the meat from its bones, and it was completely apparent that the director had been at it from day 1 ("loaning" himself money from the business accounts to buy property), but no action was taken against him and he wasn't even barred from directing. Not that it would have stopped him anyway, he had a string of handy George-Paul-Ringo brothers-in-law standing ready to be his catspaws.

  26. I would say that looks good but you could fit twice as much cover / barricades / buildings in that space! If you imagine it like a village with 2 meter wide “side streets” and maybe one 4-5m wide “main road” (with maybe a road block / check point on to break it up) When you are laying it out make sure there are some interesting angles on the roads / alley ways to keep people on their toes! Keep us informed as you build this site, looks like it could be a great semi-urban field 😀

  28. Though at the price Dave Custom Airsoft is asking he can f*ck off. £340 for a budget E&L that retails for £190 elsewhere (WGC Shop)...There is only so far you can take the piss even if you are UK based. I would rather order from WGC and chance Border Control and added fees than pay £340.

  29. Is there a way for this sort of thing to be reported or brought to someone's attention? Y'know, just so we can avoid doing it by mistake. If we educate ourselves on the process, we can prevent accidental grassing up, as it were.

  31. You are right, you are also not wrong 😂 A couple of old fudds who should quite clearly know better and be showing a better example. Neither of whom are wearing eye pro 🤦🏻‍♂️ I did notice that in the video it seemed to miss “flashing” a couple of shots. Not really sure what is happening there, it does indeed seem to be perfect to the (protected) naked eye 😉

  32. I see a few vids where the gun obviously fires but no flash, is that just the frame rate of the camera missing the flash every now and then?
    1 point
  33. Cheers I'll have a look into that. £30 for a barrel and hop up doesn't sound too bad. I've had the inner barrel and hop up out.. they were a little greasy so cleaned that off will try some iso

  37. I used to have air rifles too, BSA Meteor and Jackal Hi-Power. (No hunting) I'm not advocating for any change in legislation but I do find it strange that there are very few requirements (just age) for purchasing an air rifle as opposed to an airsoft rifle even though the air rifle is FAR more dangerous.

  38. Do you want the honest or political answer to that question?

  39. I don't normally recommend 'upgrades', but for the v1.0 Raider I would say inner barrel (stock one is like compressed tinfoil) and a Hi-Torque motor. Nothing else. Not a single penny more unless the stock hop rubber is worn. Then replace that. Otherwise leave it. Then: Use it. Abuse it. Break it. Bin it. I tend to think of the 'old skool' Combat Machines as the Bic Biros of the airsoft world. Bloody handy when they are working good, but not worth trying to fix up when they shit themselves. You will see a slight increase in accuracy with the barrel. The Hi-Torque will largely mitigate the issues with semi-auto lockup (what Fatboy is alluding to) and will give semi auto good trigger response even with lower voltage batteries. And for the front sight....😜:

  41. The bad news is that at a guess I’m going to say that cylinder is not UK legal, and if it’s legal where you are I would still be questionable about its safety It’s a flat based metal (aluminium?) cylinder, which would have a maximum working pressure of 3000psi - approx 200bar If correctly stamped it will have a maximum test pressure which will be beyond 3000psi - and must not be filled to that The neck will have the standards markings stamped into it (assuming they are honest about it having met those standards) Assuming everything is good: The top of the cylinder will have a plastic cap, remove that and you should find threads inside The regulator is upside down in your photo. The threaded end at the top of the photo should have some gaps in the threads - that is a safety feature so that if it somehow begins to unscrew while under pressure the air can escape safely before the regulator flies off Screw that end into the cylinder Do not use any thread locker - just screw it on You should tighten it to a specified torque - if the documentation and markings are there then the cylinder and regulator should have a torque setting provided If all is good then you fill it using the nipple under the yellow cap The end that we can see has a pin in the centre. That is the pin valve which will release the air when in use To use it for airsoft you will most likely need a remote airline with the appropriate connections on either end Depending on the gun you will be using, and the output pressure of the regulator you will probably need another regulator to step down to the guns working pressure - check out the other threads on here about HPA systems
