If gas is stored internal you reduce the volume of available gas you may only have room for the same amount of gas as one mag making the gun only good for 100 or so shots. That maybe sufficient but it is restrictive and you also have the risk of the seals going mid game on the tank making the gun useless where as if a mag seal goes in game you just switch. It's been done manufacturers no longer do it2 points

Aug hbar now basically done bar making the bipod pretty and building a whole lot of extended mags for it. Got the proper 3x scope now. Not bad considering that for Ā£150 Ive built this and a second para carbine style aug out of what i got. Both working beautifully. Also very happy with how my use of spraypaint has improved. This gun used to be blue but I got a very nice finish on it. Also since we seem to be showing off antique sewing machines now heres a couple I have laying around in my workshop2 points -

Will take some of mine. Primarily is miniature collecting and painting with the addition that you can play games. Think dungeons and dragons but army's rather than single models. Full table loads. 40k is a Sci fi grim dark future one-hand both expensive and has a great depth of lore and several video games. But there's games for everything now. Fantasy. World wars. Many video games are even releasing them. But it's not just the game or models it's the building and cleaning up and paining etc. There are competitions in most areas but it generally dosent pay. Iv definately sunk far more money into it than airsoft unfortunately1 point

the tippmann also has the benefit of dropping in a CO2 adapter kit (included with the gun) and you can run 80 round mid cps with a CO2 bulb in the mag (if you can find the mags) you are thinking of the tippmann M4V2, which is a gun i own. The M4V2 can be run as HPA and it does recoil but it can also be run on CO2 mags as i described above. i think @BigStewis thinking of the tippmann Omega1 point

It is always the way everybody says they want it then when it comes time to actually commit they fanny around. You did your best and it is a shame no one could step up and take over but not surprising that no one had the fibre to make the effort themselves.1 point -

she's one of the Real sword ones, so the reticle dials do indeed adjust, although the range of motion isn't massive. afaik they're basically chinese pso's with the markings replaced for russian, certainly it's a very solid unit.1 point -
CO2 Mags for my GHK M4...... how do I fill them ??
Chev Chelios reacted to Shaydee for a topic
Sounds like your magazines have been devilhunter modded, essentially taking the standard green gas mags and switching to CO2 fill and knocker valves allowing you to use liquid CO2 in the magazines. It's a pretty common mod for GHK magazines, give it a google or join the GHK owners group on Facebook and you'll be able to search for the info you need (I only know what I've read on the net). As far as I'm aware you can get the Madbull CO2 charger and use that to fill the magazines, either by using the prefilled cartridges, or a paintball tank filled with CO2. Again I'm not 100% on that so do your own research to be sure.1 point -
Yup that's what I have... the Madbull Mk18, the PTS washer and a few shims are needed... When I mean shims it's the lay lax barrel shims.. I have three 0.5mm on mine I believe. https://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/269/s/laylax-f-factory-front-end-shim-set-0-1mm-for-m4-next-generation-recoil-shock-series/ . Oh I had to add some washers on the bolts too... Nylon ones work fine..1 point

Thanks for the review. I've now gone off down a rabbithole learning about rubber chippings, which do seem to be plagued with dust to the point where some sellers claim to be dust-free (and I guess some don't), and one even gives away as much free dust as you can eat. https://www.espsupplies.co.uk/sport/rubber-chippings/ https://re-bound.co.uk/free-rubber-dust-powder/1 point

Charger Help -ASG A450
strykerles reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Welcome to the forum! Unfortunately you picked a bit of a shit charger - sorry. You won't find anyone recommending a 'dumb' charger such as the A450 on here. A charger with an LCD screen will tell you the cell voltage(s) of your packs and will help you with troubleshooting battery issues. If you can send the charger back - do it. You can buy one of these for a few quid more (assuming you paid ~Ā£30 retail) and it is an excellent bit of kit.1 point -
So incase anyone reads this, I attended Hell's Airsoft last night. Pistols only night Pros: - friendly crowd and marshal's, instantly felt comfortable - very good safe zone, facilities, safety briefing etc. - site is inside a large barn, lots of room with some interesting points of interest. Made to be a miniature "village" in cqb style. - some good game modes, one blackout game which was very entertaining. Cons: - some not so great game modes, some needed a little more thought and direction. Often you didn't feel like pushing and getting some good kills was worth it. - the village aspect of the site meant there are some long avenues of fire. It felt like a bit of a campfest/stalemate in some game modes with no good flanking opportunities. Hopefully as the site progresses they will iron this out and add more cover etc. - dust! The flooring on this site is a nice shredded rubber, or something like. Lovely to kneel on etc. However, it is incredibly dusty. You could feel it on the lungs when prone and it caused havok with me and my mates gbb pistols. My pistol was pretty much bolt action by the last game, bring some silicon spray if you are running gas. All in all a good fun evening and some potential to be a great site. Hopefully game modes and cover layout will evolve over time.1 point

State of the Se Tour Reviews
Skullchewer reacted to Asomodai for a topic
Hello all you fine lads and ladies. (If I may be so self indulgent to put this message here and call my humble site reviews "News".) Last week was my 4th anniversary starting Airsoft. 6 months after that I started doing the site reviews. It's been a wild ride as much as one can be just writing walls of indecipherable text with questionable grammar. I have had some good times visiting so many different sites. I believe I have now visited 42 sites in the South East (Only one of which I haven't yet posted a review on as I would like to revisit). I have received many thanks for the reviews and plaudits on the forum as well as direct criticisms in the form of PM's and Emails from site regulars and owners. I have been told on multiple occasions how aware sites are about the reviews and are all quaking in their boots for when I make my visit ;). I have been invited to new sites multiple times for my feedback on how to improve the gaming experience. I was also approached by a large online Airsoft news site to write reviews for them on the regular (Sadly they never got back to me after I said I would love to write for them, but only on the proviso that I could still post them on AFUK and that I wouldn't let anyone edit or tone down my honest opinions). So you are probably wondering why I am making this post! It's time to bring the reviews to a close... Sort of. As fun as it is visiting lots of different sites, @Albiscuit and myself will start prioritising revisiting sites that we have loved to have some good game days under our belt. Whilst I am not in it for the fame, women or backhanders, I have seen the readership, views and feedback getting less and less prevalent over time. Due to that I am finding it harder to start typing out walls of texts until I get so bored I have to force myself to do it! There are also frankly very few sites left to visit that you can say are actually in the South East. Compound that with the fact I don't drive, many of the ones left are relatively inaccessible to me without a lift. Basically, I am a scrub and I want to start going to a small number of sites more regularly, get good at layouts and get to know some regulars and maybe join a loose set of players in a "Team" or something equally cringe. I will also be taking some time out down in Devon and Cornwall for personal reasons starting from August ending in October. I may play a couple of times down there as well. But it's not set in stone... This doesn't mean there wont be anymore new reviews (Watch out for ZMart, Incursion tunnels and Tower Airsoft coming up) but I will be writing them sporadically, to the point I may just stop. I really appreciate all of the support you guys have given me, even though many of you don't live in the SE! Special thanks goes to my initial Battlebuddy who helped me get to places and @Albiscuitpicking up where he left off. Without you I would never of got to see so many of these places! If there are any sites you haven't seen a review of and would like me or someone else to review at some point please comment. Below are a list of sites that are still yet to be visited. ZMart Incursion Tunnels South Coast CQB Finmere Airsoft Special OPs Airsoft Apocalypse Paintball centre RIFT Com 2/3 Skirmish Wycombe Quex Airsoft Mayhem South East Canterbury and Longfield Wonky Donkey Badlands Airsoft UCAP Portsmouth Worthing Airsoft Battle Sector X DTW Airsoft Raw War Gunman Camp Alpha Campaign Airsoft Camouflage Airsoft Cheers all!1 point -

I tried this recently just out of interest and didn't get the super secret offer. Possibly it's only for new accounts, although it's not rocket surgery to obtain a new email address.0 points
