I reckon @AirsoftNewb knows this and is having a bit of fun. I also reckon that he'll never actually play and my £5 remains on the table if anyone wants to bet against that.2 points -
BUT no fucker has ever heard or seen any of this so your argument is moot ! 😁2 points

Yep, it wasn't a lucky guess 😉 and don't forget the 7% discount if you leave it in the basket for 24hrs. That makes it £1762 points

Feck off ya twat ! 🤬 🤣🤣 Na it’s just ridiculously strong bonded nylon (actually thinking about it it’s probably stronger than Kevlar !😂) as I discovered when it got looped around my foot and I went arse over tit and pulled the machine out of its mount !2 points

You have to meat the market in order to sell. Its a risk to buy a gun with a clapped out gear box. I think the guns in classifieds are well over priced. I will buy new when I get my licence.2 points -
The TM AKM thread
creep_tonight reacted to sp00n for a topic
Greetings comrades, and welcome to the TM AKM thread. The glorious AKM has now been reproduced as an airsoft gbbr. This is a highly realistic gbbr (not that I have handled an ak mind), and thus is doesn’t have a bolt lock feature… no after the last bb, you get the dead mans click (hammer falls but no other action), just as our glorious solialist motherland demanded. it also has a highly fiddley dry fire mode … I’ll explained it later. other wise function wise it’s just like a aeg ak. first issue I have found is the humongous gas tube …. It’s longer than a cricket test match! this limits the amount of gas that you can hold in the mag (about 5seconds worth of green gas) but there is a simple solution, just like our enemy Yankee brotheren… cut the tube in half and you vastly increased the amount of dissidents you can send to Stalin per fill (15s fil =70+ semi shots before cool down) highly recommended film :- AK-47 Kalashnikov1 point -
Heya all. I just picked up one of the new Ares Kel-Tec RDBs. This is the first and probably only generation of these AEGs. I am always loathe to be the first to buy a brand new just released rifle ever since the KWA Tavor GBBr disaster. But... It's a bullpup, and I must have it. With the Ares RDB I was mostly right to be reticent. Looks: Great, the box is similar to the real Kel Tec rifle ones. The Replica looks fantastic. Quite accurate to look at. The Plastic is of very high quality Nylon Fibre. The metal feels like standard Ares Pot metal. Internals: Usual Ares Trash, not that I expected any less. This essentially took the standard Ares Soc-AR gearbox, Quick change spring system, Ferrite motor, innards and mosfet, replaced the cylinder with a one piece cylinder/cylinder head type and called it fine. To be fair the Ares Mosfet is a monster, hall sensors everywhere, whilst it has no real additional functionality, it is made of quite substantial components. The proprietary hop unit is.... meh. The plastic used is sturdier then it's orange appearance would have you believe. Unlike other Ares hop units, this one probably wont adjust by itself upon firing. Sadly the arm has a built in plastic nub, so you will need to modify it to use a rubber nub. The standard bucking is the usual ultra soft Ares rubber which tears easily. I replaced this with a Prommy Purple straight away. Hop adjustment is made in the magwell (So have to remove the magazine) by a small flathead screwdriver supplied within the RDB's pistol grip. The stock barrel is an awfully made 450mm brass barrel with a small hop window. This was changed out for a ZCI 420mm straight away. Fit and Finish: This is where the problems were very close to me returning it. The Outer Barrel and gas tube/Top Rail do not align, much like the 1st gen G&G GK5's and 1st gen Krytac M4's. I had to take the outer barrel apart to align it close enough to shoot straight. Sadly this also means trying to get the handguard pin back in is a nightmare as the pin hole on the gas tube/outer barrel bracket is now at a slight angle. I suspect this is actually an inherent design flaw rather then something specific to mine. If you want to see if your RDB has this issue, just look from the top down at the front of the rail and see if it aligns with the outer barrel extension, my extension is cockeyed to the left. I cant get the flash hider off from the barrel extension. Its stuck on fast and I need to get the heatgun out to see if that will shift it. The gearbox shimming is awful as per usual for Ares. the motor is weak, but the mosfet bullies the AEG into having reasonable performance on 11.1v. As per usual I will be replacing these bits ASAP. Performance: It's not particularly awful, I need to spend some time with the hop unit to get it working as best as it could, even with the prommy purple and ZCI barrel, its performance is lacking a little, range falling short of most of my other AEG's. ROF is fine. FPS was 330 out of the box with a stock M90 spring, dropping to 320 when I installed the shorter ZCI barrel. It's a quick change spring system so I put in a spare M95 to bump the performance up to 347 fps. At least it shoots straight after being beaten into shape by yours truly. Would I recommend it?: Like most bullpups, you have to love the system, be prepared to invest some physical labour and Teching to get it working to an acceptable standard. So for your average user... no. I do LOVE the look of the rifle and the way it feels in hand. If you insist on buying one, try seeing it in person beforehand to see if it has the barrel misalignment issue that I had. Frankly, it's Ares, and I got what I expected, good ideas, good on paper, but woefully implemented. It is baffling. I can actually understand (if not agree with) dropping that much on a rare RIF, even if it's a wall hanger. But on an obvious toy that will shoot much the same as CYMA AK, no, I don't get it.1 point

I am also baffled. Granted, this is when the least tension is on, but as Oscar Wilde so adroitly noted, to lose one tooth may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness. Didn't Luke at Negative just rant about removing two teeth?1 point -
Like the others have said the ‘Brecon pouch ‘ was the way I was taught straight down the front of your jacket until you get to ‘re~org’ and you could sort your kit out1 point

I honestly don’t know why people are getting hung up on it not being a steel receiver. historically TM never made metal body guns or is it just trib’ism? I don’t mean to offend just wondering. I wouldn’t get too hung up over the externals in 6months there will be various wood/body kits etc. What we should be doing is celebrating a new rif that isn’t another M4 or variation etc 😝😝 (FYI I like m4’s … there is just soooo many off them)1 point

Of course people are free to ask for whatever they like. The dreamers thread is more of a guide to buyers and sellers, while having a bit of fun with it a long the way. I can't speak for everyone but whenever I price the stuff I'm selling, I of course go in a certain amount under new retail, however with me there is always the question of "do I definitely want to sell this?" As such if I were to list it at a bargain price 1) You're still going to get the Wheeler Dealer wannabe asking for X amount off 2) If it sells within in a couple of hours, you're going to wonder if you could have gotten more. So yeah if it's not selling and I'm still fairly certain I want to move it on, I'll just drop the price by £10-15 here and there. I've never been pulling my hair out, desperate to sell. From a buyers perspective, all I can say is the only negative feedback I've ever received on here, was when I decided not to sell to someone 😬1 point -
Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Rogerborg reacted to PopRocket123 for a topic
I thought you couldn't return IFs because the shop voids the manufacturer's warranty by painting it? Not that I'm defending this guy.1 point -
When you see painted guns in films like Lone Survivor, or on SEAL Team, or even real life like Obi Wan Nairobi/Chris Craighead, they do look cool AF, especially when they're 'worn in'. Sadly, the majority of painted guns I've seen on airsoft sites (or in the classifieds recently 🤢) look utter dogshit. Your mate's however looks pretty good, but I'd always have in the back of my mind that a paint job is very personal. As others have said, if you want to sell it, your're knocking a few quid off the asking price. But how can you put a price on your enjoyment? In conclusion, do what you feel man and enjoy it. And at the end of the day, it's an MP7, so automatically you're cooler than at least 68% of other players on the field!1 point

80's 90's dump poutch?
Danno46 reacted to Stratton Oakmont for a topic
In the 80’s,90’s a dump pouch was a ziplock plastic bag to be used on hard routine on an o.p.1 point -
Was often called a ‘Brecon Re-load’ due to using this technique on the live fire range up at Sennybridge , you had to really speed through it and you just didn’t have time to try and cram the mags back in the pouches so you just lumped them down the front of your smock .👍1 point

Sup guys hope everyone's well! Sadly, my CYMA Platinum 0.97B from TG broke 3 hours after use. It makes the jingle when the battery plugs in but doesn't fire anymore. TG think its the optical trigger sensor, and they're probably right. Not only that, but it dropped from 350 to 300fps within a few hours too, so guess there's an airleak already. However, they are flat out declining to fullfill our warranty agreement. They said they are no longer shipping to the UK because of 'brexit' despite accepting my order and many other's in May. For that reason they are not willing to give me a return label to send it back to them for repair. I know it's likely a simple fix, but its my first RIF and I dont want to open it myself and void the warranty, incase there's more issues down the road.. I mean, it completely broke after 3 hours. Pretty shocked at TG's customer service, they have been horrendously unhelpfull and are doing anything they can to shut me out. I'd prefer not to go down the paypal dispute route as I loved the gun while it lasted, and its £100 cheaper than buying in the UK, (and I paid a load in import fee's to get it here). Anyways, just thought I'd share this in case anyone has any suggestions for what I should do. It's my first and only replica so I've been missing out on game days, sat here with a bunch of brand new unusable gear. I'll see how things go from here on out, but if they continue to be unhelpful I'll probably post a brand new thread on here warning people of the risks involved with TG. Peace out1 point

Another vote for: just leave it alone. Unless you're radically altering the inner barrel length, it'll be close enough. So much of airsoft is hearsay, magical thinking or sheer luck that I'd focus on the easy wins: clean the barrel and hop and grease the o-rings. Only solve problems that you actually have, not ones that Reddit has told you to imagine.1 point

Finally got something that had been on my list for quite a while now. And to boot, it's the gun of a deceased friend, which he had sold off prior to his death and which has now found its way to me on mysterious pathways 😌 Hephaestus HTS-14 Groza, 1st version, with the early full steel silencer and a Pilar scope (civil version of the military scope, that belongs on the Groza but is extremely hard to find), Just need different mount rings, these look aweful. Really happy about this! ☺️1 point

Four or five mates meeting up on land belonging to one of them, when the business is locked shut, and keeping well away from any machinery etc is fine I am sure. Airsoft in 18 acres of meadows and orchards in the middle of an isolated fen is hardly likely to raise much concern for anyone I hope.1 point -

Lies lies lies lies lies. You just like to drop more money so if they took away the "incentives" which lets be honest are pay to win you would still just want to give them more money? Having a bigger stash lets you horde more gear making deaths /gear losses less impacting for that player also the bigger container you can take out with you lets you stash an expensive item if your getting jumped. Last time I played it was full of cheating/glitching people. This type of game just attracts toxic people because it's an outlet to be a dick in the first place. Also body armour was way too strong when you buckshot a guy I don't care how many plates he has on hes going down and isn't turning around and shooting back.1 point
