If it's anything like our place it always goes like this: Bossman "You watch the match last night then?" Me "No, I don't like football" Bossman "But it was an England match!" Me "But I don't like football" Bossman "Yeah, but you have to watch England matches! EVERYONE watches England matches" Me "But I don't like football, you know this. I tell you this EVERY time you ask if I watched the match last night" Bossman "...so did you see that save in the second half?" Me *frenzied rage killing playing out in my head* "No. I don't like football"3 points -

you just described my relationship with lct ak's unless it's an lct ak although yes this is a valid point, unless you're already experienced enough with a certain make/model to know what deficiencies it'll have then you're always better off playing with it first. at the very least it'll give you info to feed back to the community when asking for suggestions, details like chrono readings, how the shots are going etc can help diagnose what's up.3 points -

2nd what Druid799 said even with the high end guns there is still a chance it will be duff out the box. For everone that sings the praises a certain gun there will someone that will never touch it ever again. Go with what you like (just never buy VFC) and you do not need to up grade any gun out the box actually use it Frist.3 points -

What have I learned about airsoft ? I have learned (though I think we all already know this) airsofters are like the proverbial ’dog with a bone’ when it comes to topics that’ll set em off on a good moan or rant , no matter how long ago it was the subject matter and discussion had run their course they will just NOT let go of it . The problems with TaiwanGun thread for example is a classic demonstration ? Think it’s safe to say we ALL know there ps an above average chance if you buy from abroad the boarder agency/DHL/Parcelfarce/etc are going to bend you over the table and nail you from behind AND not even have the good manners to offer a reach around ! BUT we still moan and bitch about it ! 🤦♂️😁2 points

What Have You Learned About Airsoft Recently?
glockkidd reacted to Cr0-Magnon for a topic
I have been skirmishing for five years and one thing I could never understand, is how people managed just using mid-caps. I had always gone in the opposite direction and still have drum mags for my M4's, Evo's and even Glock/AAP. Playing almost with the attitude that just keeping the opponents heads down was a victory, even if I had to light-up the wall they were behind or bush beside them. However last weekend I changed up my "rig" to include pouches for MP5/EVO mid-caps. Bearing in mind Evo mid-caps are 75 rounds, I was especially surprised that even after a heavy "defend the village" game, I had only just started on my second mag. I also discovered that I found it satisfying when the gun stopped firing on empty and I had to use the bolt release after inserting a new one. So I think I'll stick with them going forward and just pick my shots more carefully. What have you changed/learned recently?1 point -
Hi all, you may have seen my wanted ad for the PPS Bizon mags a while back. These things are like rocking horse poo to find, I even got in touch with the manufacture, whom replied that they weren't making them at the time. Just at the point of binning the PPS Bizon that I put together I got a notification that they were in stock at Tiger111hk. These mags are around an inch shorter than the Cyma ones (I have a Cyma Bizon as well and they're not as good a replica as the PPS), and are propitiatory to this gun. Anyways if you need one, know someone whom needs one please pass on the word.1 point

Given the big ol' difference between quality ballistic rated goggles and the same goggles but with a fan, I think there's a huge need for simple ready-made kits (or at least the plans/links grouped together online) based on some common and popular goggle types in order for people do to these mods themselves.1 point

He's decided we are in the wrong. Said he doesn't believe the marshal did anything wrong with my guns. Accused us of being late on an open forum(despite being there an hour early, one of the first in fact) and not pointing out who was to blame as I apparently knew. I didn't know I was there as a marshal. Said I didn't try and engage when he was the one who walked off. So, losing battle here. I paid via paypal and have stuck a claim in. Bollocks to em. Wonder if I'll land an f&o ban.1 point -

Fucking hell that is not remotely acceptable, how the hell did you even just walk away from that!? I'm not normally one to call for this sort of thing but naming and shaming seems to be the order of business here. save some fellow forumites the same misfortune. Edit: seriously, tell me i'm being trolled right now, i would genuinely preferr being made the fool than beleive there's that level of incompetence in the world.1 point -

What I haven't really mentioned yet is the chrono marshal damaged my tanaka revolver-one of the rubber seats trying to eject a shell (pegasus system-no shells) And rammed an aeg m4 magazine inside my ghk g5. It's winding me up, massively. May have started melting down on facebook. Though, I fixed it, can't prove he did so. But it wasn't damaged before. And luckily I had a spare, I have a few tanaka pegasus saa parts for emergencies. I wasn't going to bring that up as, to be honest, it wasn't the end of the world. But if I hadn't have got a spare, then I would have had a very expensive paperweight.1 point -

Absolute Goddamn Joeys. Here's my supposition: they knew fine well who it was. But they hoped the culprits would own up and go home without any drama. When they didn't, they had no Plan B, and just retreated into an owner-marshal circle-wank where they told each other that collective punishment was the right thing to do, and better than risking walking up to Captain Spamalot and saying "Sod off, you're not welcome here." This, right here, is what grinds my gears the most about airsoft: sites gobbing off about what they're going to do, then failing to do it. Then punishing the majority of decent players because they won't deal with the tiny minority of toxic people who need to be punted right out of the hobby.1 point -
That's sun bed rates! I'm feeling that they could have found the 'fast' guns fairly quickly by getting every one to line up and fire a burst downrange until they heard the 'offending'gats? I can imagine it must have taken the wind out of your sails. Regards1 point

Sounds about right. When you get 2 of them nattering on about how such and such is being offered the megabucks to join some other team but they think such and such is past it cos he's too old and so and so would be a better pick but its not transfer season yet and the 5th league wickets are stacked against the team that everyone normally thinks should win because they've kicked more home runs than anyone else in the past 5 years but that was all due to such and such who's practically a demigod of the ball handling but not any more apparently. And then the building burned to the ground......1 point -

Brilliant video, used it last night to striped and mostly rebuild the hammer! Had a spring go walkies, frantically searched for half an hour, gave up then discovered it had rebounded off the wall, and hidden itself under the packet the new hammer came in! Wanted to cry for so many reasons! I had a question, in the shares video, the very nice man is able to push the hammer down by hand (obviously with the upper removed) and then pull the trigger to make it reset. I tried this and it didn't work, this is why I lost my spring because I started pulling it back apart. However, I tested it on my other AAP and that won't reset either unless I've got the upper on. Is this correct? There's sod all wrong with my second pistol so ???1 point

God!! don’t get me started, the amount of Friday nights, all day Saturday, all day Sunday & Monday evenings I did with my mates playing AD&D in the 80’s not forgetting the amount of junk food and beer consumed was crazy - it kinda got a little silly but by fuck was fun at the time 8 of us playing D&D and getting beered up! When TSR started to remove things like the melnibonian section in deity’s & demigods manual (‘copyright issue I think) and in later stages of 2nd edition demons from the monster manual in that stupid loose leaf “monstrous compendium” and silly classes started to appear we slowly drifted away as it felt a different game to us all. I still have my character sheet from my favourite two chars and the painted figures in one of attic boxes /nerdreminiscingover1 point -
1st , Welcome to the forum ! 2nd , do not ask for advice on “what am best gun to buy ?” On the internet ! 🤦♂️ 😂😂 seriously you will not get a definitive answer to your question on any online platform , all the answers you get will be very biased and you’ll even get some people giving advice when they’ve never even seen the what ever let alone owned one BUT because their friends/brothers/girlfriends/cousins/neighbours/aunties/dog walkers son has one they now think there an expert on the subject ! 😳 Your best bet is just look at what everyone else has at a game day , see which you like the look off then ‘respectfully’ ask the owners about it and I guarantee you’ll not be able to shut them up about it AND most will let you have a play as well as all airsofters love having there egos stroked by someone drooling over our toys ! 🥴 PS the two you’ve named are both really good guns made by reputable manufacturers and are very much of a “both as good as each other so go with the one you like the look of the most” level of guns .👍1 point

Oh yes, I didn't see that your friend wants to charge you 255Euro for the Specna. That is high even with the extras. See if he will negotiate. Check online prices to compare...1 point
-
Either of them are decent choices. Accessories don't tend to add much value to used guns, so I'm not sure if the Specna package is worth that much. It depends on whether you want all those accessories and if it comes with extra mags and batteries. Then again, if you can try it out and are happy with it, it's a low risk choice. It's really up to you, I wouldn't recommend one over the other without seeing exactly what's in the Specna package and how it performs.1 point

Beware If Buying From Novritch Now If You Live in UK

I've also experienced the terrible customer service provided by the Novritsch team. They immediately blamed me for a part failing. This is how it should be done. I ordered 4 x bags of BB's and 2 x Lipos from 308sniper.co.uk on a next day service. Only one bag of BB's and one battery was delivered today. Within two hours of my initial email reprting the issue, I received this:1 point -
Gg Tr4 18 Semi Auto Issue
Sebastian1985 reacted to Skara for a topic
on an all mechanical system, lock ups in semi are unfortunately frequent. What happens is the gears sometimes stop in a position where the COL (cut off lever) is half engaged so that the trigger grabs the trolley but when it gets near the switch the half engaged COL lifts it and sends it back to its resting position. There is no real solution to fix this without resorting to a programmable mosfet. Even then Active Brake doesn't help, you either need precocking (set amount of overspin every time) or get rid of the mechanical cut off via a mosfet with cycle control.1 point -
Gg Tr4 18 Semi Auto Issue
Sebastian1985 reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Sounds on face value like normal semi-lockup - although I would expect it to be a likely encountered issue if you are running an 11.1v LiPo That, and you mention that it's firing fully auto even on semi. It implies a cutoff lever/switch issue. If you fire semi at a steady pace, say 2-3 times a second, does it lock up then? I had one of these guns waaaay back, and it shot OK in semi even with a 7.4v LiPo.1 point -
