Basically pull trigger when you leave safe zone, run like fuck and swing gun from side to side. Release trigger on re-entering safezone.🤔3 points

So don’t I feel stupid right now … my chrono was set to meters per second 🤦♂️ Its actually firing hot at around 330fps on .4g bbs! That’s like 500fps on .2g bbs 😳 on a blue (mid fps) nozzle.3 points

Pre-firing while moving round a corner where you know someone is camping is a valid way to play but this is bullshit. This is a shit player who makes up for his lack of ability by trigger spamming. Any CQB sites should kick players for doing this as it is almost as bad as blindfiring.2 points -

Setting up a CQB Site, What Should I Be Thinking About?
Rogerborg and one other reacted to Graham Ranson for a topic
Rental price yes, not sure about rates yet which as mentioned is the real killer ( and it's what eventually took down a non-airsoft thing my dad did so the charity option as mentioned by Rogerborg above could be a good shout. ) This would be quite a few months out from now if I actually do it so hopefully we'll know by then if "normal" is ever something we can go back to. But yea, it's certainly something I need to think about but it may not be until next year before I can do this anyway.2 points -

Just alluding to "stitch counters" in the reenactment scene. Really though, those are amazing jobs, I love the attention to detail.1 point

I saw a girl on Failbook with the same issue, her unit had reset itself and defaulted to reading in metrons rather than turnips per fortnight. Another argument in favour of Joules - I can tell you that my DMR shoots 0.32g at 1.72J, but I have no idea what that means in metres or feet. It's just not relevant information.1 point

I wouldn't make any distinction. In both cases, the only target you can hit is one that you couldn't see when you pulled the trigger. That's measuring twattishness, not skill: he's shooting dead players in the back willy nilly.1 point -
What Are the Best Barrel and Hop up Upgrades.
Tactical Pith Helmet reacted to Rogerborg for a topic
Oof, 213fps with 0.25g is just 0.52J, under half the power you should be getting. If that's a stock spring, your air seal is... well, not sealed. You're not likely to solve that with a barrel and hop. There's something quick you can try, which is to open it up and put silicone oil or spray into the nozzle. Give it a swirl around and some time to soak into the piston and cylinder head rings, then give it an auto burst before re-assembling to get most of it out. While it's apart, take the barrel out of the hop unit and check the rubber for signs of damage or perishing. If it's stiff, give it a lube with silicone oil then a thorough clean out. When you put the barrel back in, be sure that it's pushed all the way back into the hop unit, and that the clip is properly engaged. After doing that, if it's still under-powered, I'd suggest opening the gearbox up and lubing or if necessary replacing the piston ring. If you want to dive ahead and change the barrel and hop rubber then I'd suggest a ZCI 6.02mm or AOLS 6.01mm, and a Maple Leaf hop rubber, and a omega nub clone from https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/ But that won't cure your air seal issues, unless it's just down to a perished hop rubber or mis-seated barrel.1 point -
Because if they didnt take their hits, there is a good chance the gun he would wield next game would be a real one... it is russia afterall, so who knows1 point

Setting up a CQB Site, What Should I Be Thinking About?
Shamal reacted to Graham Ranson for a topic
I think potentially trying to separate gamestyles to different days could work maybe? One skirmish day would be aimed at quicker/simpler/casualer games and another at the milsims and the a separate day for speedsofters. This of course requires there to be enough of each type to support that though.1 point -
Further down the line.... desired customer base. No point in running a site with planned out complex multi-objective games if 3/4 of your customers just want to play capture the flag and vice versa. I remember a few years back showing up to what was supposed to be a milsimesque skirmish at Longmoor (£50 game fee) to find that the company had had a brainfart and literally expected the clientele to be happy with "flag in the middle of the street needs to get to your base and not the opposing teams" type games. Suffice to say that pretty much everyone thought this was a waste of the sites possibilities and a damn shame given the games the operators in question normally ran. Game flow....... as an example nothing more tedious and game killy than someone sat on a choke point with a chest full of hicaps or a drum mag.1 point

Do Ghk G5 Lower Receivers Really Crack After Only 3000-4000 Rounds?
ClearCut Airsoft reacted to hunter511 for a topic
This can happen but in later versions there is a buffer in the lower reciever. I've not experienced it with mine. IIRC it was also linked with whether on not people were using the stock when firing.1 point -

Setting up a CQB Site, What Should I Be Thinking About?
Rogerborg reacted to Chev Chelios for a topic
My advice before moving on anything go to as many sites as you can and have a chat with the people and the operators. Try and at least have a chat so when it comes time to open you are at least on a "hello" basis and you may be able to arrange to have games days that don't conflict and push business each others way. Always nice to have someone to call closeish by in case your pallet of BBs is found to have an endangered species nest of voles in and cant be moved so can pop over and grab some at short notice ETC Props and toys are something to invest in, for instance having a manikin (or even a very large marshal) on a stretcher can make a game feel epic and is just essentially a bog standard capture the flag game mode. Rentals make the money, try and have a marshal to look after just the rentals and give them the best day possible. Future players and future private parties will come of it. Good luck in the venture, always nice to hear of another possible site opening up.1 point -
Setting up a CQB Site, What Should I Be Thinking About?
Rogerborg reacted to Graham Ranson for a topic
That's a good idea yea, hadn't thought of that. One thing I was thinking, to try to keep it interesting to regular players, is take a hint from theatre staging and game development by having small "rooms", essentially tiles, on moveable castors so that the layout can be rearranged between game days. These layouts could then also be saved so if a particular layout was especially popular it could then be selected much like a game level.1 point -

King arms are finally re-releasing their FAL/SLR line towards the end of this year. Best wait for them. Far cheaper than better than Ares. Other than that, Brit Cold War stuff is cheep, numerous and you can even use more modern DPM if you aren't that bothered about accuracy. Just depends on how far you want to take it but its one of the more easy historic loadouts to make.1 point

Us Lawman Loadout (From 19th to 21st Century)
Tactical Pith Helmet reacted to DaveJayEm for a topic
Not a law enforcement loadout but this is my circa 1880ish outlaw loadout, which might still provide you some inspiration. It's largely period authentic apart from the primary. You can't really tell in the pic but I'm holding a GE M870 which will have to do until I get a KTW Winchester. In my right hand is a Tanaka SAA. I also have a Umarex Colt not pictured I do have a Deputy Marshall one too but no decent pics at the moment. We're playing a Wild West game on Saturday so hope to get some then! Pic credit to The Airsoft Project. edit: just reread and realised you're looking for inspiration for more recent law enforcement.. sorry!1 point -
Airsoftworld OR some HK shop. There is fuck all available in Europe for some reason. Whatever you want, the stock barrel is good out of the box, I don't see the point of swapping it.1 point

Ultimately I think the most minimalist setup is individual or mix of the following; 3: All non fighting/evading essentials in backpack. This can be dumped prior to a forward objective or in the event of an ambush. 2: Operators belt - Velcro inner to rigger outer, supported with a PLCE yoke, this will full support load, sit flush under or over any other gear. No padded liner - adds bulk and is not necessary when the belt is Velcro’d in place. Run most of your fighting essentials on this and/or; 2: Low profile plate carrier, FC slick Slickster or similar. I know you say they restrict your breathing but PCs like these are (I find) extremely comfortable, you don’t have to run training plates, the sides are elasticated so breathing/mobility is easy, the shoulders sit thinly and flush - so comfy under backpack/other gear. You can also easily from the front slacken the grip for more breathing room on exertion/tabs etc With no additional pouches you can carry your radio, some mags, tourniquet, other random. You can slip a flush triple shingle in the front for more or better mag placement/indexing. Additionally i run a 1.5L Source hydro inside the cummerbund, a med and general pouch at the rear side cummerbund. And lastly an easy access admin pouch up top/front. All of the above is so low profile it’s ridiculous. 1: A decent combat smock, should be the base layer, carrying all essential survival and navigational gear. Good read hopefully 😂 Super low pro - More mags - Hydration -1 point
