Wire, plastic or wood? (asking for a friend) Just picked up a shipment of these Snake Eyes helmets, I've got a bunch of ARC rails and NVG mounts coming from wish this weekend... Anyone want a totes operator AF helmet? I've got some paperwork that says it's totes legit and will stop a bb (tested very scientifically with a .12 fired from a mcdonalds straw) prices between £69 and £420 depending on if I like you and how much glue I've had to use to stick crap onto it...3 points -

@leadly Tough choice. If you're already setup for mp5 mags then they do cut a nicer look than a big M4 mag on the bottom however saying that, I just grabbed a couple of Epm1-S's and they look amazing! So short. Primary EU works out a touch more expensive and you run a dice of death with imports whereas US site has no issues getting through. I would personally just go direct to US, my last order (a feed tube) came in record time. Should have some hell's footage once I get round to spending an hour or 2 editing 🤓 Still buzzing from it though.2 points

I went back to the van earlier to check my messages in between games and saw! The Battlecat 4.3 is finally happening Had an awesome game today, my Capas were behaving beautifully. The AW drum mag I bought seems to have a slow leak somewhere, nothing a bit of grease can’t solve1 point

I'd suggest watching Negative Airsoft's videos on YT. He has a high opinion of the ZCI Plastic Rotary Unit, but a fairly low one of the Maxx Hop Unit. Given the volume of guns he's had over his workbench, it's worth listening to his knowledge drops during his vids.1 point -

ZCI Barrel, Maple Leaf Macaron, Omega (or style) Nub, ZCI Rotary Plastic Hop-Unit. Job done. Don't bother with Prowin or clones. Maxx Hop units are supposed to be very nice - if you can get it to work with your gun. For every success story with that unit, there's one or two others where it just doesn't work for their setup.1 point -
Long or Short Barrel Distance
PHNTQM reacted to Predator EAT-14 for a topic
If you're talking about them both having the same FPS at the exit of the barrel, either long or short, then no there'll be no discernable difference in range. A longer barrel doesn't necessarily mean better accuracy either. My ARP9 with a 5 inch barrel is marginally more accurate/consistent than my M4 with about a 14 inch barrel. It depends how you want to play really, if you want a higher FPS on your gbbr then a longer barrel will make that easier to achieve with less stress on the internals of the system.1 point -
Rumour has it that this is actually your old combats, & that you last wore them at Rorkes Drift, while singing "men of harlech" with the rest of the Boyo's ?😜1 point

Nope, separate platforms and companies. VFC GBB mags are a bit thin on the ground at the moment. I gather a restock is expected in 1-2 months. https://www.powair6.com/en/gbb-magazine/4625-vfc-24-rounds-gas-magazine-for-vfc-scar-h-gbb.html1 point

Hardly. I think people are too focused on the 75/60% "rule". The market sets the price, not an arbitrary calculation.1 point

Well had 1st game today and me and the young un loved it. Couldn’t stay all day as had to get home for the youngest but both of us had a great day. As its all a learning curve we now know what to expect / do better for next time. We hired the guns but like a fool i forgot to fetch our bb’s and whilst i was only taking aimed shots to conserve ammunition my young un thought he was Arnie in predator. I have ordered some de fogging spray for next timers young uns mask kept misting up as well as a lower face protector for me as i took a few well placed hits to the head. But 100 % be going again and be even better next year when my youngest can also attend.1 point -

That's awesome! I recently got an M-LOK Musket with foregrip, and a Blunderbuss with a PEQ laser on it, gonna be sick with this chest rig. Love that camo too, the green bits on the sleeves will help in a woodland environment. Personally I'm a big fan of this genuine Navy Seal plate carrier, in maritime red (Because Navy) and comes with foam inserts and buckle.1 point

This is exactly why I only buy my AEGs boneyard. I find that's the only way you know exactly what you're buying1 point -
Comes down to condition and honesty of the seller in that situation , I’ve seen newly bought guns that are falling apart because the bone head who owned it hasn’t looked after it , but equally I’ve seen guns that are 2nd And 3rd hand that perform and look in pristine condition because the owners have looked after them . Problem is once you’ve bought ANYTHING it becomes 2nd hand and unless it specifically says it’s transferable you’ve got no warranty of any sort so if it goes tits up your screwed hence you do not try and sell and expect to get the price you payed for it ! 🤦♂️ 😂😂👍1 point

Don't Be This Guy (Eye Pro)
Rogerborg reacted to PopRocket123 for a topic
I've seen so many people turn up at a game with a fully decked out TM recoil, full multi cam, the works and yet they go onto the field with kit that hasn't been adjusted to fit them, wearing Halfords eye pro and filling their expensive guns with .2g BBs and yelling at everyone for not taking their hits.1 point -

First RIF: Specna Arms Sa-e14 Edge or Cyma Platinum Cm.097b Upgraded Version?
Shamal reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
you're talking to a hamster, of course i hate badgers. lording it over us with their natural camo and extravagant burrows, you know how much a badger burrow costs? more than i make in a decade! i can kinda see the logic, although in this case the op's natural leaning seems to be towards the cyma anyway. i mean to me a generic ar variant is a generic ar variant, but then i don't tend to worry too much about the state of internals....1 point -
Noob "I really want A but I also like B" Forum based expert "I heard that A is a piece of crap don't buy that" Noob *begrudgingly spends money on B because despite being perfectly good it wasn't really what he wanted but someone on the internet said that was shit Person with up to date info "so why didn't you buy the one you really wanted? They've been sorted out now and work absolutely fine" Noob *sad face, carries on using gun he bought all the while quietly battling the internal monologue that everyone on the internet talks shit and why didn't he just get the one he really wanted until the day he finally snaps and beats a badger to death with the gun he never really wanted in the first place. See? Do you hate badgers @Adolf Hamster? WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE BADGERS!!!!!1 point

What's the Worst Airsoft Injury You've Had? Bank Account Not Included
GothicGhost reacted to magaz for a topic
I've had a good few, but two that I always bring up happened at the old (OLD) Dragon Valley site (Boys Village, West Aberthaw - RIP in peace, one of the best urban sites I've ever been to.) First incident (TL:DR) Just as the last game of the day was drawing to a close, I ran from the "gym" (basketball court situation,) up the bleachers and through the door leading into the empty swimming pool. Despite being warned not too do a "fall in the pool" in the safety brief, I did a fall in the pool and domed myself. Saw stars and definitely did some damage. I wear helmets these days. Second was at the weekender when Silvafox was hoisted upside down in the safe zone above the stairs because he wanted his boot prints on the ceiling... Last game of the day again, Pepperpotting back to our "Alamo" point, I tripped over a piece of barricade and whacked my knee on a brick/rock/Accy Nori that had somehow followed me all the way to Wales) and broke it. I didn't realise at the time, adrenaline kicked in, asked a guy to drag me into the storage cupboard we all planned on hole-ing up in and for that twenty seconds of crazy pain being dragged by my vest sling rounds through a borrowed MP5 because I'd done something stupid to my XM177. It was real. Best day ever. (5 hour trip home was the worst.) - Luckily the guy who drove us down is a paramedic and strapped me up, gave me something for the pain and I was out for the duration. That was about 20 years ago and that knee is still dodgy. (Knee pads lads... knee pads...)1 point -

Scout Sniper Loadout
Sema Dragun reacted to 38super for a topic
The action is not as slick as a VSR style bolt action. I won't be doing a 'mad minute' with it but I've got used to it fairly easily. Having said that mine is only pushing 1.5 joules. When the Rapax 2+ spring goes in I might feel differently.1 point -
Scout Sniper Loadout
Sema Dragun reacted to 38super for a topic
And then there's learning how to use it well. I'm expecting quite a steep learning curve. Fortunately I have access to a 50m indoor range for testing. I'll look into the bolt cover thing. Some kind of flexible flap maybe? This^^. I'll probably get one just because I want an accurate handgun but.... The MK23 seems to be the go to sidearm for your traditional sniper but I'm envisaging a more active role where I will be often be inside my MED. I'm thinking more along the lines of a compact SMG which opens up a whole new world of possibilities. Options I've considered include:- Full auto pistol (M92R, Glock(??)) AEP Machine pistol (VZ-61, MAC-10) - underpowered? Difficult to fit a red dot. GBB versions of the above - limited ammo capacity, expensive mags MP5K - no stock MP5 A5 - heavy P90 - Cyma's are cheap MP 7/8/9 ??? Others??? I'll be buying this one myself so budget does matter. Max around £200 including mags. First thing is to get out and play with the SRS and see what actually happens in game. Expectation and reality are likely to turn out to be very different.1 point -
