  1. Am I the only one questioning the fact the gun was working but somehow had a broken nozzle, which the op has then opened up their gearbox to replace. The gun then breaks, he takes it to a proper tech who finds several issues. How do we know op didn't create said issues? Some super glue to hold in wiring, ok that's not great but sometimes necessary (but granted too much is just stupid), and a broken gear which could happen at any time conceivably but conveniently straight after said nozzle replacement. Not pointing fingers, just curious 🧐
  2. Sounds like it could be anti reversal latch not engaging, causing the spring to spin the motor back between shots?
  3. If you're talking about them both having the same FPS at the exit of the barrel, either long or short, then no there'll be no discernable difference in range. A longer barrel doesn't necessarily mean better accuracy either. My ARP9 with a 5 inch barrel is marginally more accurate/consistent than my M4 with about a 14 inch barrel. It depends how you want to play really, if you want a higher FPS on your gbbr then a longer barrel will make that easier to achieve with less stress on the internals of the system.
  4. Well having a closer look this evening it looks like the nozzle of the can gets fatter about halfway down and looks like this is stopping it going far enough in to properly fill. Will try a lighter fill adapter if I can find one, if not a different brand of gas, I didn't quite realise just how deep the valves on the TM are.
  5. Will double check that later, it didn't seem to be in the way but I was a bit excited about having a new pew so will look a bit closer lol Yeh mags inverted, can shaken etc. It works fine and gasses my WE Glock without any loss
  6. Just got my first TM pistol, a second hand HK45 and struggling to get the mags to fill properly. I'm using a can of WE green gas with plastic nozzle (will be getting a can of nuprol 1.0 once this one's empty), have tried finger on knocker to start with to purge any air locks, tried longer holds and short 1-2 second bursts but the best I've managed to get is enough for about two thirds of a mag then it's empty. I know these gas out slightly while filling but they're pretty much just spitting liquid out straight away, only thing I'm wondering is if the nozzle of the can isn't going deep enough, are some brands better to use than others for TM? When it does shoot however, it's great with consistent, accurate 45-50m shots, so I'm more than happy with that.
  7. Had the same issue but with my Ares striker, turned out to be the lock pin which goes through the cylinder that was worn, causing the back of the cylinder to rise up slightly when returned which in turn pointed the front down slightly, catching the bottom of the hop chamber. May be worth checking?
  8. This is what I did, you can use a hairdryer to heat the glue that's holding the covering on to remove it, trim with some snips to shape then stick the covering back on 👍
  9. If I remember rightly I had the same thing after fitting one to my valken, from what I can recall of the 3 wires coming out of the x-asr I swapped the positive and negative wires and it's been fine since. I may have wired it wrong initially but didn't think I had, May be worth a try?
  10. Airsoft action is the only one that comes to mind, though only available digitally now, but does have its own app with current and back issues available free
  11. Yeh that was going to be my next course of action as, like you say, you can get a whole gun for a little over £100. It's like cheap printers, normally cheaper to replace the whole thing than buying the ink on its own. Guess it gives me more toys to play with at least 🤷
  12. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a complete upper receiver for an Aug from anywhere? I have a phantom/sniper variant which I got second hand, but it's a properly heavy beast (also a bit weird looking with such a long barrel) and just a bit cumbersome to be running around with so hoping I could have the option of swapping the upper to a short barrel version for cqb etc as I like having something a bit different.
  13. Last time I was able to go I ended up using my ARP9 at a place called reaper ops which is a nice mix of cqb and outdoor. Really impressed with the gun and certainly didn't feel outranged at all. After a few hundred rounds the hop rubber settled nicely and was really consistent. Just bear in mind it's a lot louder than you realise, I wasn't exactly able to sneak through the tunnels, once I let a shot off everyone knew where I was lol.
  14. The maple leaf nub and bucking should see you good in terms of consistency, I'm assuming you use good quality bbs? A bad batch of some will give you random shots in different directions slightly
