Recent acquirement, one that needed a total brain-shutdown WE Desert Eagle with ALC full steel kit and realsteel MAK grips. Got it used from HongKong, so it wasn't as expensive as a new ALC kit (which really costs an arm and a leg), but still the most expensive pistol I ever bought... it definately is an EXTREMELY impressive GBB kit, everything in that kit is CNC machined steel: Slide, frame, front part, sights, trigger, slidecatch + disassembly lever, safety, hammer. This one is the somewhat rarer version in dark chrome. Altogether this DE now weighs in at 2.283g, which is about the weight of a real one and almost 1kg heavier than a standard WE Desert Eagle. Mighty blowback, especially using CO2 magazines. Friend of mine helped me out with the gap in the back of those realsteel wood grips. he filled it in perfectly. Thanks a ton! My Honey badger ‘esque’ build. Not really a build just kinda ended up looking similar to a honey badger. Somewhat compact but has decent reach on it. Not all about size after all 😉.

@Alimcd oh no lol ...springs do go through some real abuse. ZCI does seem to be one of the better after-market springs. The new Gearparts springs so far doing well. Japanese military grade steel seems to do the job.

Picked up a M140 spring from Pete @ak2m4for a DMR build. On the phone, he was telling me about some new springs he’s got on the way as he was finding a lot of the Chinese-made, steel springs to be garbage-level quality. I thought it was interesting, having never had an issue with springs, and proceeded to have a tinker with one of my high speed builds. After a few games, it started to sound a bit strained and the range had dropped off a cliff. Lo and behold, Chinesium spring had snapped! Very lucky I had that M140 kicking around to replace it with (8 tooth DSG, M140=+-300fps)

The other point of view that complains about new members is that the new member starts up a new thread instead of searching the forum and finding a relevant thread So if Newton Knight posted up that they wished their was an airsoft Martini Henry then either they get slated for not searching for the previous thread or the same discussion is repeated from 7 years ago By ‘necro posting’ the information from 7 years ago is tied into the topic Isn’t this the purpose of a ‘forum’ as opposed to trying to discuss topics on Facebook ?

I’ll do it like that then. I tend to move between my MWS and MTW but 80% of the time, I’m using my MWS. I was also wondering why my Odin vomits out 8-10 bbs once done filling an aeg mag, I guess its probably because the tension is too high and it’s prematurely loading bbs into/through the cog when the magazine is already full or something... Either way, nothing is better than having the guy who actually designed the thing to ask questions! I’m eager to test it out once it arrives.

£600, bargain that’s 2/3 of a custom hicapa.

It feels far nicer in the hand, probably hops a slightly heavier BB, slightly further but that's about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% saying they're not worth it on a £ to performance level (much like a "fully upgraded" NGRS) but just highlighting that you can sink £600 in to a pistol.

We all know airsoft upgrades are 20% performance vs 80% aesthetics

Well I hardly get to use comms so I end up swinging them back which is why I went for them really, they're comfortable and have two different settings of 'tightness' on your ears for a snug fit, with the 'length' on the arm also adjustable, I'm always worried about them snapping out of the arc rails when I adjust the tightness bit though, even though it has only happened a couple times, that'd be my only complaint. Edit: Changed some things, just aesthetics really: kit now: want a slimmer belt, probably drop the double stack mags on the belt Helm finished need to get a brainexploder camera mount; https://www.brainexplodermerch.com/product-page/adjustable-nvg-mount-gopro-style and there's nothing else I'd change now.

Similar event for me , got one of the briefcase sized divided boxes to put all my hundreds of dremel bits’n’bobs in spent a good few hrs transferring from half a dozen different packs and kits and what not so there all neatly sectioned off by use and then couple o wks ago I decided to balance it in the corner of the breakfast bar while I did a piddly little job and promptly knocked it off and there’s Dremel shit everywhere ! So yes I am a knobhead ! 🤦‍♂️
