if it's loosened up a little already then you're almost certainly right. it sounds like they have tightened the tolerance without thinking about the thickness of the paint on the mag... it's probably just one of those things at least that means you should have very good consistency due to a solid gas seal.1 point -

I think your right bud, I had another little play on my lunch break today at work, and the mag will seat perfectly if you give it a bloody firm push when its inserted, and again it will release just fine when the mag is pulled slighy towards yourself when the release button is pressed. I can only put it down to very tight tolerances, and even after a few mag changes today its already improved dramatically. I'm sure with time and a few games under its belt it will loosen up a little! ๐1 point -

I'll be sure to let you know. It should be here in a few days. I'm not expecting it to be an FRV/Ronin beater for that money, but I'm mildly optimistic about it being fine for Airsofting a few times a month anyway.1 point

If you want noisy CQB I would recommend a TM MP7 GBB with a SoundHog on it....sounds like a 22 rimfire when I tested in the garden, will be even louder inside ๐1 point

Gun back from Luke @ Negative Airsoft (G&G Tr4-18) New cylinder New shell (Was cracked) New gears & shimmed (Replacement gears were already worn) New rotary hop unit (Still got my prommie flathop in it) + few other bits & bobs he's done to get it running sweet again. Basically it's a new gun. Looking forward to playing with it this Saturday. (Mainly my CQB gun, but still wanna run it outside)1 point

ICS split gearbox for a project I've been planning. Also the real reason I got those 9mm mags. It's loosely inspired by the bottom picture1 point -

I sanded them lightly and they fall perfectly The arm hop up may be slightly blocked. But that it only happens in the first bbs is rare.1 point -
Remember a while ago on here I mentioned being PM'd by a Chinese manufacturer. Well, turns out they wanted to send me (and presumably anyone else who responded to him) a free plate carrier. Took him up on it, thinking "yeah right, that'll never turn up" Bugger me though, it arrived today! ๐ It's a Big Foot branded carrier. GTPC is the model. It's not half bad actually. Needs a set of phony plates to stiffen it up, but the quality isn't bad at all. The cummerbund has 3 elastic mag pouches on each side so you can carry lots. And the quick release mechanism on the sides is easy to use and quick to take on and off. Lesson to be learned: Always take up the offers for freebies ๐1 point

Got bored. Had Paint Pens ๐ Makes the gun looks much nicer I reckon. I think I'll leave the trades on the slide alone, what do we reckon?1 point

Chest Rig Vs Plate Carrier?
GeorgePlaysAirsoft reacted to Cyberlawyer for a topic
Your rig is a very personal thing, even in the army where your kit is issued and you have SOPs as to where things should go there is a lot of personal variation. For Airsoft I subscribe to the view that you shouldnโt carry more than you need, but even this varies depending on the type of games you play and personal preference. Personally I agree a good belt setup should be the start. This should carry pistol a couple of mags for both pistol and primary and in my case a smoke pouch and functioning first aid kit. I then run a plate carrier with more mags for my primary, a radio pouch, admin pouch and a hydration bladder which can also carry a waterproof or bit of warm kit if the weather demands it. While this sounds pretty minimalist I carry a lot of mags, as I run a GBBR with 30ish round mags and hate carrying speed loaders as they rattle like a bag of nails.1 point -

@SSPKali would be a complete splurge but ive always lusted for a noisy CQB AK... https://www.evike.com/products/39816/ In my eyes i "should" have enough CQB guns, what with pistol, mp5 and now shotgun, but you always need a backup... for the backup right?0 points
