  1. Few recent bits I've been waiting on finally arrived today: Zenitco dual pressure switch for the Klesch-2 & Perst-4 , again great quality & a nice little bit of kit allowing me to control / adjust the attachments as opposed to 2x separate switch attachments Additional MK46 Box Mag & Dummy bullet belt Tag Pecker MK2's - Dummy Tag grenades so I can get some practice without (literally) blowing up £7 a shot! - Helps in orange as well so I won't lose them!

  2. Probably varies from camp to camp let alone between services, but on a basic level the stuff you get issued on your gun has to stay on there, but you can move things around to wherever best fits. The SUSAT can be slid back and forward on its' rail in to 3 different positions and from what I've seen usually people get to pick wherever fits them best. The Elcan LDS obviously goes on pic rail so has many possible mounting spots. As mentioned the grip-pod that is issued along with the DD pic handguard can be moved wherever is comfortable. I'd prefer mine further out for example but with osprey on and lying prone I can't reach the thing unless it's pretty close in. I've seen infantry guys with their own magpul AFGs and RVGs amongst other picatinny attachments. Personally I have an aftermarket sling that's just made to look similar enough to the issued green one that people don't question it. If you look up recent pictures of army guys on deployment (i.e. within the last 3 years) you'll see lots of examples of small variances in configuring the A2 and A3.

  3. My whole purchasing of the lct g3 has been panic buying (?) I had been watching the stock count in firesupport for a while. There were always 2 left for what seemed like months. I get some money at the beginning of lockdown but thought it wise to hold off blowing it all on a new pew. Then it goes down to 1 in stock. The buyer i think having posted about it on here. Thus making me buy the last one. I have also been watching the midcaps for it. These too seemed to remain with 12 odd in stock for ages, plenty, no rush.... suddenly this morning there were 4 left. The exact amount i wanted (4 on rig, 1 in gun). Soooo guess who just had to buy the remaining stock of lct g3 midcaps. Sorry wallet

  7. Why buy it brand new with a warranty when you can buy it secondhand and save yourself £30! Oh and it’s too hot hot for 95% of U.K. sites!

x-fire.jp They have binned their old english based site in favour of this new one with a better shopping cart system. You can still order as before, just let your browser translate for you. Major muck up from them though not redirecting traffic from the old site to the new.

Well I've got plenty of options for barrel make and length now, so thanks you all! I think I'm going to build the gun up with the standard barrel until I can get some more distance Infront of me! If I'm happy with what it's capable of I'll upgrade the barrel at standard size, if I feel it lacking then I'll get a longer one. I suppose it depends what FPS I've got as well as from what I've read, the longer barrel gives the appearance of more range because they tend to increase the FPS by 10% ish. I guess without everyone lining up side by side, aiming down a range at set lengths, all with different barrel brands and lengths, we'll never really know how good one is above another. It's all down to the users perception at the time of shooting when out on a game! (Conditions all varying)

  13. I though I was reasonably intelligent bloke until I watched that episode. I can't work if I'm being thick or it just exists on some higher plane of meta. Either way, it's first Rick and Morty episode I didn't raise so much as a chuckle, let alone laugh to.

  14. Its good and solid. I have fondled it greatly under the excuse of practicing mag changes. But not been able to shoot it sadly. Then i can give it a proper review. Its funny, when i started out i wanted short guns. Got the carbine ics l85 and a ump. Now though im getting long ones xD. I guess its the draw to get different guns and a slight soft spot for coldwar battlerifles. Plus side of this is that ill have the mags for it. Just need to sort out some gear for a modernish pmc merc. Otherwise ill have to run it in multi cam as i have 7.62 pouches for that already. Unless two will fit in svd pouches. I know one does...

Personally I use white lithium grease on the outside of the spring and on the spring guide (metal on metal), then some silicone around the o rings on the piston head. I put a bit of lithium grease on the outside of the cylinder as well to help smoothen out the bolting action. On any rubber seals/orings make sure you just use silicone as other oils/greases can have additives/chemicals that'll react with the rubber and can weaken it.

Being furloughed, and the lockdown stopping play thought I'd tick off something I've wanted to do for ages. Painted the MK18, and even the MK46! I'm now the proud owner of two very salty looking RIF's wanting to create a worn 'in country look' Painting a RIF is of course very subjective, but I hope you all like. This was the first time I've ever sprayed one of my collection, and it was a lot of fun!

  27. I own a TM one. Allow me to go off on one here: It's big. Really big. Pistol's quite large too (ba-dum-tiss). Only realy way to holster it is with a Viper belt mounted adjustable holster. it's as big as a desert eagle. If you have small hands, forget it. If you want a pistol that is 'fast' forget it. If you want to be able to transition to it quickly, forget it. (Admittedly I do alright with mine, but I've used it almost every skirmish for the last 3 and a half years, often as a primary.) If you have the suppressor attached whilst it's in the holster (and you'll want to) your draw length is from grabbing the pistol at your hip, the pistol isn't free and usable until you have lifted the pistol grip up to your armpit. Don't think you can get around this with a leg holster, then you'll never be able to kneel down again. There are a lot of negatives with this pistol. BUT. Jesus christ. If you want a pistol that you can rely on, buy one. and only one. You will only ever need one. This has to be the most robust anything ever. Mine had taken a beating over the years. Then I dropped it. Fell out of my holster. Lost. Gone. My favourite RIF lost. not to mention it was £200 worth of pistol. This happened in November 2012. Every game I played I looked around for it. Then. Mid August. Peeking out from under some leaves. NO. FREAKING. WAY. 9 bastard months. The coldest winter for years, plus all the usual yorkshire countryside weather. Plus the heat from summer. My MK23 had been out in it all. I would guess temperatures ranged from -5 to about 20 degrees over those months. I picked it up. looked over it and pulled the trigger. 'thumf'. sheeeiiiiiiit It still worked. Hadn't let out ANY guess. Aimed at a target 'thumf' again, straight as a die. better check it over before I do any damage to it. Popped the mag out, took out the takedown lever and slid the slide off. yup, frame looks fine. Check the upper. a slug, A mother fucking slug. right in the mechanism. and it wouldn't let me down. The pistol is awesome. It outranges most peoples AEGs all day erryday. It cannot be heard outside of 10m and is impossible to locate the exact direction of the shooting within hearing range. It's had more kills on its own that the entire rest of my arsenal, I'm convinced of it. Some days I'll take out £800 worth up Laylaxed up VSR and do better with the MK23. If I'm unsure about what to take to a game, I know I'll still have a good time if the MK23 is coming with me. oh, and just for balance, I DO also have the ASG one (same as KJ etcetcetc) and it's wank. Just utter crap. Yeah, I know what other people say about theirs, so maybe that shows how highly I hold this pistol. (and how terrified other players at my site are of it) and to clear up some misinformation in this thread so far: the TM MK23 and mags DO take Greengas, it will also take duster, 134a, 144a, red gas AND Guarder Black gas. I would imagine it handles propane fine, but I am NEVER putting that stink through my lovely pistol. Special forces don't use it 'a lot' it is too big and too heavy for a sidearm. and to agree with some other sentiments from the thread: If you use one, you cannot be cooler. They are stupid accurate. They are THE BEST sniper sidearm They are THE BEST woodland sidearm, regardless of playstyle They are (playstyle/game dependednt) one of the best CQB sidearms.
