Mainly because just bb guns sells them. They're probably just a rebrand of others to be honest but suffer from that stigma. I wouldn't personally use them to be on the safe side, I prefer to stick to tried and tested named brands but I've seen people use then without issue. Not for me though.3 points -

If you've got a tm recoil and are struggling then I think you're probably doing something wrong unless you've got a bad one. I'd just stick a stronger spring in the 416.2 points -

I had a bottle of Bulldogs, bought on site and they were fine in my G&G, but jammed up the glock. Some are misshapen and not perfectly spherical, mis matched weights and covered in a horribly tacky release agent. Once they have been washed they do become a bit more consistent. The release agent and hop up rubber don't interact well. However they are reasonably serviceable if you don't expect too much of them. [Addendum] I wil not buy any again, they were fine as a pinch, with the bog standard cm16, in a high cap where you can overkill to make up for inaccuracy, but any decent hop up unit, TBB, or if you actually want the shot to go where you aim there are much much much better options for not a lot more cash. ASG Blasters are the minimum and BB Bastards get my money everytime now, even in my DE shotty. I also highly rate the P&J Bios from Taiwangun.2 points -

He's internet famous, he must be right. Im surprised that any other site I've ever heard of or have been to allow the use of blasters as they're so dangerous, and also surprised that ASG market them as airsoft bbs if they are in fact not made for airsoft.2 points -
Hi, I am looking for some advice (please feel free to move if the wrong place). I will not include any names here for obvious reasons but I am being denied clearance currently at work for 'unprofessional' behavior as there are airsofting photos of me on facebook which can be publicly seen. All photo's are either in my garden of load outs, or at professional games and were during my active airsofting phase (while I held UKARA). Also 1 shot of me with a real firearm (in the US) target shooting. The argument appears to simply be that having photo's of yourself with a 'weapon' is unprofessional / unacceptable. Is there any legal basis I can defend myself with? Has anyone else had similar challenges with work and this hobby? While I can simply remove all the photo's I feel this is unfair, this was a part of my life, this is a legal hobby and I don't want to live in a country where I have to self censor because of public opinion. Ironically I am sure recent events are the driver (maybe I look too scary), but free speech is what the recent events are really all about.1 point

Think I'll sell the B&T one and get an Angry Gun one instead. That should get me my 330fps.1 point

What you need is a good performing sub 350fps standard AEG, like a TM 416 for instance. it will be more than adequate.1 point -
Yeah, I'd definitely go with an M90. Did you do an AoE correction on the CM16? If not a full steel toothed piston could do you more harm than good.1 point
-
Yeah, uses the microphone to read the noise your gun makes. Fine if you don't mind strapping £500 worth of smartphone to the side of your gun.1 point

@M_P, No, I'm very happy with the TM. Wish they had a bit more kick to them is all and wanted to get another rifle for an outdoor loadout etc. I've also been told many times its best to leave TM internals stock as they don't like being fiddled with. Thought it would be easier and better to have one rifle for CQB and one for outdoors. The 450fps was just an example. Looking to realistically get 370-390fps and medium to long range. Almost a DMR but not quite a DMR in terms of rifle length etc.1 point

Yup - chubby the liar ain't getting no more money out of me though they were alright for me BAW's .20's atm seem good all rounders - but these could be any other make for all I know a make that works for you may not always work so well for others/guns/barrels etc.... plus some makes could better/worse on different weights & batches depending on what you get/use Stick to main brands from good retailers or see what your site sells is best advice if they sold $hit bb's that were pi$$ poor and jammed then peeps would soon moan about it or give them hell1 point -

My regular site has a remote control... I hesitate to call it a car, but anyway it gets rigged up with crow scarers. Forget your mk5s, those are properly loud.1 point -
As ever, informative AND humorous, all in the same thread. Thanks, chaps.1 point

Indeed, try having a mk5 go off at your feet when youre stood in a short corridor. I had never experienced temporary hearing loss before then... Quite a surreal experience1 point

Bought my first set of pyro (mk.3's & a blue smoke grenade) esterday at red1. The first one I threw into a doorway, but it managed to hit the top left corner of the door frame before bouncing back towards me. I've never ran so fast in my life...1 point -

Lets not get overly dramatic, a plastic bb shattering on mesh will have lost almost all of it's energy, so it's not exactly dangerous. I've had bb's shatter on mesh goggles before, little bit of grit got in my eye, not blinded. Interestingly had a chat with a guy who was sourcing bb's wholesale from China, apparently there's only 4 or 5 factories which make them, so a lot of the brands will be practically identical.1 point -

Sorry, but got to call utter BS on that one. Also, as some one else has pointed out, all pellets can shatter on hitting mesh goggles. Should also be noted there seems to be far fewer reports of pellets splitting in the gun with blasters than the majority of other brands. Oh and their own description1 point -

Just purchased my Warrior Assault Systems DCS OD Plate Carrier with 3 quick mags. Should hopefully be with me in a few days. This will be the beginning of my loadout (will try and get some A-Tacs FG clothing in the near future)! Also gonna get some velcro patches soon. Quick Q: Does anyone know where I can get a custom velcro name patch for cheap?1 point -

Most if not all BBs can shatter on impact. Anyway I use Blasters or Excel 0.25s, those Nuprol ones seem alright although I've only used a couple of bottles so far.1 point -

Ready for Sunday. Not gone Gucci yet spent all my money on guns. The Ashbury is on the bench stripped down because needs some fiddling and i'm going to respray it Olive Green when it's working right. Vest is Osprey Load Carrier after it's failed dose of dylon green but haven't had time to paint it or experiment with another dye I got my hands on yet.1 point

Amazon / eBay. They'll be the same price if not cheaper and free shipping.1 point -
TM Recoil. With that budget, screw mostly everything else- except maybe Real Sword weapons, which are very special in their own way- RS' airsoft guns are made with demilled real steel rifle parts.1 point

I don't think thats really a very good assault rifle. Rather too heavy and long to go storming a position with it. If you can have the Barret, I want one of these: http://www.shootandscoot.co.uk/shop/vickers-303-machine-gun/ £775 plus £300 for the tripod.1 point

I use BAW BBs indoors, and BioSphere outdoors (my site requires bios outdoors). Work a treat. BULLDOGS SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS Not sure if this means anything, but local sites have actually BANNED Blasters (not Devils) because they shatter on mesh impact. If you are playing CQB, I'd be aware of this fact1 point -
