  3. I have paid import taxes from HK, rainbow 8 included as have many others here... Only on things above a certain value. I paid a ludicrous amount of import fees for my Prowin mags but it still worked out cheaper than buying them from the UK. It's not priced more than new... You seem to still be overlooking the fact that it comes with an extra mag and a holster. A mag, new is in the £20-30 range and the holster is too... In used terms that still about £30 more for both. And while it's technically not new, the fact still remains, if I didn't want to wait for a UK/EU restock and I wanted one... I would consider it and so would many others. Things are only worth what people are willing to pay for them. Which is why selling on eBay is so successful. Edit: it should also be noted, I am not intentionally defending the seller, but I do feel that in this particular instance, point the finger and making fun is a little unfair.

  5. I've bought a Geissele rail for the A5! What do you chaps think? I'm personally a fan, and although there's not much difference in weight. It feels nicer to hold, I may not even bother with a vertical grip. Here's pictures of before and after.

    THE TM MWS thread

As a lot of threads end up with one of us recommending the Tokyo Marui MWS, and i get PM's asking about it, i figured I'd start a thread to keep all of the information in one place. Here i plan on covering a general overview of the gun, as well as upgrade parts, general maintenance and tuning. If anyone else wants to share any information, guides or even gameplay with their MWS, here is the place to do it. With that being said, lets get on with it. I've had my 2 Tm m4 GBBR's for a little over a year now, and they've got through dozens of changes to get them where they are today. Out of the box they are beautifully finished and boast impressive performance. I bought my first one from Zeroone, who price matched it for me. At the time the gun set me back £430 and the magazines £35, but they have risen quite a bit in price in most places. The gun is incredibly well finished and sports a Cerakoted receiver. Before opening the box, i didn't get what the big deal was about Cerakote, but that all changed after using it over time. The finish is VERY resistant to the hard life I've shown it, and is far more scratch resistant than any paint or anodization on any other gun I've owned. The two I have still don't have a scratch on them. At the rear is a standard m4 stock, which does its job with little wobble, but isn't the nicest one I've ever seen. The railed handguard is very solid and nicely finished with all of the correct numbered markings on the rails. From there you have your usual front triangle iron sight which DOES NOT have a sling attachment at the base. The magazines hold 35 BB's and have a Cerakoted shell to keep them from scratching easily. They have very recently started coming with silent fill valves, but are mostly the normal kind that hiss when filling and spray liquid propane when full. Its worth noting that the valve sits at an angle to the baseplate. One modification i would highly recommend to do is the "green gas mod" which involves removing a long zinc tube from inside the magazine. This allows more gas into the magazine and upping your shots per gas fill dramatically, with some people reporting 150+ shots from a single gas charge. As a side note, i have started to just cut the zinc tube about 1 inch from the base instead of removing it entirely. A video showing how to do it: Chronograph Results: using blaster .20 BB's and green gas i got around 298 fps with a deviation of 2FPS. yes, you heard that right, " FPS. This thing is incredibly consistent! Important information: The inner barrel is 250mm on the 10.5 " CQBR and the 14.5" carbine, meaning on the 14.5" outer you can fit a much longer 370mm inner barrel. The Hop up adjustment dial is similar to Tm pistols and can be located inside the upper receiver by locking the bolt back and looking down the magwell. Due to the way the outer barrel is cut, it's not possible to fit an aftermarket rail onto the gun without one of two things. A barrel adapter ring (PTS, ORGA and a couple of others make them and usually cost £10) or A dytac outer barrel, which has a wider lip, as shown below. Dytac on the left First shots: I took it down to the 20m range at the First and only shop and loaded it up with .28 blaster devils. They had multiple targets there, but i focused on the little spinning targets at the back wall. The orange discs must have been no more than 1.5 inches in diameter and i was hitting it virtually every time with the iron sights. So far, very impressed with the accuracy. So much so, I treated it to a new dress! First internal upgrades: After speaking with Dave about the gun, he explained that the gun wouldnt hop really heavy weight BB's with the standard nub. because it was hollow and squished when applying hop pressure. To remedy this he machined me a great little nub out of brass. Isn't it beautiful!? This meant i could now lift much heavier BB's increasing my range and accuracy even further than the already impressive stock performance. Using this new nub and GEOFF .32 bb''s i was able to get the bb's out 60+M with a flat trajectory. They were making a 1.5-2ft grouping on the plastic bales as seen in the video below. I have SOOO much move to cover, including barrel reviews, customs mods and a DMR build, but its 5;30 am and i need to be up in an hour, so we'll continue this tomorrow

Can't believe how long it took @ak2m4 to get my motor shipped! I ordered on 05/04/19 13:48 and it was shipped on 05/04/19 14:22. It took 36minutes to ship my purchase! Disgrace! (Obviously a joke, great service as always!)

  14. I packed it up and posted it off last night to get it out of my sight! One thing I noticed is the box it ships in is awful it's not tied down in anyway to the box so it just rattled around in there. At least I wasn't going to use it this week /weekend still hope for next weekend getting it back better than ever.

Nice one. Makes sense as there’s no proper trades on it. It just sits in my parts bin as I’ve never been one for mk18’s😂

    THE TM MWS thread

I have (mostly) finished my mk18 build. I’m going to be looking at other torch options, mainly because I’m not happy with the one I have and I’ve also seem to have misplaced the pressure pad! The information in this thread has been really great, just a quick thanks to everyone! The main upgrades are: Laylax 6.03 250mm inner barrel Modify hop rubber Laylax hop arm (will pick up a super nub in the future). Mad bull mk18 rail a low profile gas block and spacer (both of which I can’t recall what they are exactly) Magpul stock, AFG and grip Raptor style charging handle Vortex crossfire red dot with back up irons There was a few issues with fitting the rail that took about 30 minutes to resolve. I’ll add my mistakes here: - The coupling that has all the screw holes does not have a continuous gas tube hole. So you either have to drill a hole, or cut the gas tube down. I would really recommend against drilling the hole, as there is an internal step down that leaves no room for error and you may end up splitting the coupling. I started drilling and then stopped once I realised it wasn’t an easy exercise with the tools I had. - The barrel nut has to be tightened a fair bit to stop the rail from twisting very slightly once it’s on. I also added card shims either side of the tabs of the coupling. The tabs slot against the receiver and the shims gave it a tighter fit. For now, it’s very sturdy and in line. I quite like like the black finish on the rail, but this is preference. While it performs great, i have to say there isn’t hardly any difference from the stock barrel. Although I’ve only done some basic testing. The accuracy of the stock rifle (and barrel) is quite decent. Also, by adding the 6.03 barrel the fps stayed the same (around 295 on 0.25s). I’ll keep the laylax hop arm for now, but will likely get a nub in the future. I know a lot in this thread use heavier bb’s and reach really long ranges, but for now I only stick to CQB and urban sites. I’m quite new to airsoft so that may change few months down the line. I’ll probably end up playing around with it more! Oh and I should also add she hasn’t been skirmish tested yet, but that’s coming up in three weeks. I only have a total of 3 mags though!

  19. It's closer to £160 because it's closer to £160. Just a few examples... and those are without delivery. I didn't say it was new at any point but they haven't been in stock anywhere that I've seen in 6 months+ so yeah, like I said... If I was in the market for another one, with an extra mag and a holster... I would consider it for £180 delivered.

  20. There is another option (what I’ve done) basically I’ve bought a knock off 1.5 belt from fleabay stitched my own Velcro to the outside of it . Then bought a couple of stiffened belts again from fleabay and then stitched Velcro to them as well and niw for the princely sum of 17 of her majesty’s pound notes I have the inner belt and two outers set up to two different jobs ! 👍

    Swat VTG longevity

Might not help overly with your issues but I found this while searching for someone other than SWAT that had serviced their own BFG's First, how to get in to them. The metal top of the grenade is press fitted into the plastic body. To remove the top, warm the upper half of the grenade with a very hot hair dryer for a few minutes or place the grenade in a warm oven (100c). Once the plastic is warm it is a lot more flexible. Remove the cap where you stick the blank and instead of a blank inset a long bolt so that the shaft of the bolt passes through the hole in the cap. Screw the blank housing back into the top of the grenade and use the protruding long bolt shaft to lever out the entire top of the grenade from the warmed up plastic shell. You will only be able to get the top off if the plastic shell is hot, if it’s cold it won’t come out and you risk damaging the grenade. Once the top is off the internal mechanism is very simple. The issue with mine was dirt under the upper (smaller) O-ring. This O-Ring acts as a one way valve to help you prime the grenade, any dirt under it will let air back through in effect keeping the valve open and the grenade will fire prematurely. I recommend removing and cleaning both O-rings and then apply a very small amount of silicone grease to them. You only want a very, very small amount of grease as any excess grease will attract dirt and dust and could lead to more problems in the future. You will also find a small allen head grub screw in the nylon shuttle. You can use this screw to adjust the timing of your grenade. Screw it in (clockwise) to increase the delay and turn it anti-clockwise to decrease the delay. Reassemble the grenade by again warming up the plastic body and gently tap the top back into the body. If the body is warm enough it doesn’t require much effort to get the top back in. Source link - how to service them Tagging people I know have them just so its in one place rather thank over numerous threads.. @proffrink @Druid799 @Rogerborg @FreeFrag.UK

  25. Haha, thanks very much & no worries - always fancied having a groupie.... The Rig is a Helikon Training Mini Rig in Adaptive Green. Seems to be OOS in UK but I got mine from Emperion which worked out at £76.56 with shipping instead of £71.90 from Military1st. PewPewBox - do you mean MP7 or PEQ? I'll cover both.... The MP7 is a TM GBB. This is the PEQ and this is the Torch. They are both activated by this dual switch. The PEQ functionality all works great, ran it at a weekender so used laser / torch & IR - all worked fine. Oh, for the MP7 mags, I use this - fits perfectly where the removable M4 magazine pouch goes.
