  1. A silly day for me yesterday. All I took out: TM Desert Eagle TM PX4 Storm TM Beretta M92f Hwasan Mad Max double barrel sawn off Tag launcher And I had silly fun. Not a great number of kills, though I did manage to get one with the Hwasan and its leaky shells that are coughing out .2s at 109 fps ? Also a few kills with the tag launcher, which is always hilarious. Running triple pistols was great fun. Balls to reloading. Empty a pistol then pull another. The day was pretty wet, so we left early, but I still had a laugh. And I dressed super seriously as always.

  2. Ran the SR25 at RA yesterday. Got a few kills but I think our side was a touch outmatched overall! Fun though, despite the rain!

  3. Yesterday, I wandered over to Tower Airsoft, one of my regular haunts. Unfortunately, the lad was busy working at saving lives at the lido, so I was on my own; this situation did not last long as I bumped into someone I know and a bunch of his friends. Unlike my last couple of visits, the site was busy, with all available under cover table space being in use and a few people setting up in the open. We started off with a "Capture the Fort" game; the Red Team (hey, that's us!) started at the church and, unsurprisingly, had to capture the fort. We respawned at the church while the defenders had one life within 30m of the fort and a second life inside it. Due to the heavy undergrowth and trees, it was difficult to get an overall impression of what was going on, but our group pushed up on the right flank, clearing the more open section of the woods of opposing riflemen and snipers before attacking the flank of the fort. An excellently thrown gas grenade from someone to our left cleared most of the defenders out of the fort, enabling its capture. This game was then turned round and it was our turn to defend. With a small group of other regulars, I took up position in the woods on our far right to block any attacks from that direction. We got into a great little fight with a larger number of Blue Team players, initially at long range and then up close and personal. After taking out a number of opposing players, I was hit and fell back to the fort, moving upstairs to cover the front entrance. Unfortunately, a BB hit me through the tiniest of gaps in the fort wall. I assume that it was a random shot; if not, well done to whoever it was, firstly for spotting a 2cm square gap and, secondly, for getting a BB through it into my back. Having reloaded in the safe zone, we played a fallback game. Starting at the buses, the attacking team (that was us) had to recover a mortar tube from the village and an ammunition box from the prison and transport them to the other side of the bridge. Defenders fell back 30m each time they were hit, while attackers had to fall back 30m and find a friend to respawn on. Our group tried attacking down the right flank, along the site boundary; pushing forward, we struggled in the face of well concealed snipers so shifted our emphasis somewhat to the left, breaking into the village alongside the rest of the team. Having obtained the mortar tube, most of the team headed for the prison and then directly towards the bridge. I joined up with a small group who pushed wide on the left flank, eventually attacking the bridge defenders from the flank in a well coordinated attack. The mission was accomplished with about 30 seconds left on the clock. After lunch, the fallback game was reversed. Our group decided to defend the same area that we had initially struggled with when we were attacking. We fell back each time we were hit, creating a rolling defence, until we came to a really strong location which commanded a number of routes through the very dense undergrowth. I settled into a position where I had good lines of sight on two paths, one being the path down the boundary. I shot a few players coming down this route, including one chap who appeared in exactly the same place four times. They then seemed to switch their attack to come through the village, which meant that the other path I was watching became another killing field. By now, it was all getting a bit hairy as, having taken the village, they were able to flank us, which resulted in some very close up exchanges of BBs and a glorious gas grenade throw by one of the opposing team. It came sailing over the bushes, landing a few yards from a few of us. Fortunately, the breeze blew the gas cloud back towards the thrower and his colleagues and away from us. However, we were slowly being whittled down and I eventually realised that I was all on my own in the deep, dark woods. However, at about this point the game ended; I never did find out whether the blue team achieved the objective and, if they did, how long it took them. On arriving at the safe zone, I realised that a very busy few days with very little sleep had caught up with me, so I packed my gear, said my goodbyes and headed home after a really good day of airsoft. 4. GHK Kochevnik build is almost done externally. Internals are coming from Asia so they'll take a little longer, and there is a Zenitco pistol grip and charging handle piece in there too. Im also working on making a HPA drum for it since Kinetics are so hard to find and theres no news on a new batch.

  5. A mixed (but mostly good) day at Spec Ops... Took a few guns with me (as per usual), though the preferred VFC HK416 GBBR is out of commission until the replacement body pin comes from Taiwan * Double Eagle M906C (natch) * TM AUG High Cycle * JG SIG S-552 Commando * G&G G36C * TM 5.1 D.O.R Hi-Capa I decided to run the DE with a bunch of mid-caps instead of the usual Lonex flash-mags, just to make things a little more 'interesting' in terms of ammo management, and also stuck the recently acquired (used) Titan 7.4v Li-Ion stick in there, to keep the pistol grip from melting Unfortunately right from the off the teams looked unbalanced. A team of HPA'ers on one side, and us mere mortals on the other. Yeah, right from the first game it felt wrong. Credit to them, it was as much their squad play as much as the weight and range of fire that meant they knocked us on to the back foot from the off. But as the morning went on, it wasn't enormously fun. Luckily at lunchtime, Carlos and the marshals took the chance to swap a few people around, and the afternoon was much more competitive. I had some fun'n'games on the gun front: In the morning I took the DE and the SIG. The 3000mAH battery died just before lunch. Obviously it shouldn't do that after such a small volume of shots - it's not charging properly (it went from 75% to full suspiciously quickly) When I went to the tech trailer to retrieve my SIG I was told there'd been an accident - the cover on the trailer had dropped and snapped the outer barrel where the silencer was screwed on. Bugger. I'll need some advice on that - will post pics later. Lunch time intervened. Two tasty burgers, the option of chicken and salad too. I was going to run my G36 in the afternoon but discovered I hadn't brought the right battery for it, so went with the AUG instead. A good choice as it turned out. I also grabbed my 11.1v LiPo for the DE. First game after lunch I used the DE but damn, it gets hot quickly. Maybe the motor height needs some more tweaking, but really I need to order a new motor for it (the 22TPA with a fan from AK2M4) I decided to go with the AUG for the afternoon instead. The gun isn't as good as the DE when it comes to semi-auto, so I just leaned in to what it's built for - 20-25rps of bullet-hosing The damn thing is fantastic at suppression. The highlight of my day was the final round where we were playing an 'escort the VIP with a bomb' mission. We were tied up in the BBC base, with the bomb sitting just outside. I got a decent couple of kills on two enemies just outside the base, so thought 'sod it' and sprinted out to the best cover. Me and the VIP then pepper-potted down to the church, with me giving suppressive fire while the VIP carried the bomb. I got zapped between the Church and Ping Ping, but by then we'd all pushed on and the final step (getting the bomb to the tank) was inevitable. The heaviest rain came down after the game-play had finished. Thankfully. Even the medium shower that happened early afternoon was enough to get everyone fogging up. So bad news, I've got a dud battery and a cosmetically broken gnu, but on the positive side the hit taking was really pretty good (well, I had no definite problems, and I only heard a couple of comments across the entire day, which was massively better than last time). Damn, I wish Lonex made AUG flash mags. I'd buy a set, given how much I enjoyed using the gnu, and how much I don't care for winding high caps ;/ Now time for the unpopular opinion... As much as everyone might pile on to AirsoftSniper, I have to say I have concerns about HPA too... The previous game day I came back with just a couple of small ping marks on me. After playing against multiple HPA'ers yesterday, I came back looking like I'd walked into a wasp nest. At one point I got hit on my mesh face mask by an HPA guy at close-ish range and I felt the whole mask jump off my face. Hey, that might be the difference between running at bang-on the site limit, where as most AEGs are probably running at 300-330 / 0.20g, but Spec Ops only zip-tied the regulators for a game or two, they're not doing it now. Cheat-mode can be engaged with a twist of a knob, and I suspect the temptation is too much for some of them. Putting that suspicion aside, their extended range and volume of fire from just a few players can unbalance the game-play. however much they might want to stick together, it's best to distribute them across the two teams. That certainly prevents any grumbles and mutterings!

  6. Yeah I suspect it’s just not the game for him, I think he just learnt that during an unusually tough session. Possibly a blessing in disguise, rather than getting invested and then deciding its not for you several £££ down the line. Like you say, might just have been heavy BBs. For the benefit of balance, it was notable but not something that spoilt our day or gave me any concerns about safety. Even the heaviest impacts were negligible compared to stubbing your toe. Under yours and @RostokMcSpoons revised parameters I’ve elevated my performance to ‘genius’. In any case I’m having a whale of a time in the thick of it so no intention of changing my strategy. Yeah sorry, for the avoidance of doubt, I’m quite happy being shot and consider it an essential part of the game. Me and the boy are regularly in the thick of it and as far as we’re concerned its all good stories to tell on the way home. My gist in this example was that we had a particularly heavy morning (by airsoft standards) which I think, at least in part, put off the first timers we brought along. Nothing inherently bad about it, just one of those luck of the draw scenarios.

  7. Dude you're paying to be shot as much as you shoot. If you're not getting hit, you're not taking part. My only wish is that respawn points weren't so far away. ?

  8. Sorry to hear that. On reflection those HPA guns might not have been shooting hot, but they might have been throwing some heavy BBs. Whatever the reason its not great when the end result is an unhappy player who won't take up the sport. With regards to 'being crap'.. what do you mean? In my book the crap people are the ones who are at the back of the field cowering in cover and occasionally pinging shots that will fall 20m short of the enemy. Anyone who gets killed a lot trying to push up or get in range to add their weight of fire to the front line is doing a great job ?

  10. Not an Airsoft day, but we were real steeling it with clays yesterday. Me, the boy and the ol' man went to Stumbletts near Horam, where the ol' man is one of the organisers. We didn't realise it was a competition day, so the stands were trickier than usual, but managed a decent (for me ) score of 24/50, the boy beat me AGAIN by one, but we managed to both beat dad - but then his eye's are terrible and he has new photochromatic glasses which made his vision even worse in the sun LOL. Bear mind I only get to do this a couple of times a year, and the boy has only used grown up cartridges and 12 bores 3 times. The boy also spent two days up dad's field with an air rifle hunting bunnies and pigeons. However, they got the better of him this time - although dad's cat which is both decrepit and pitch black, and called Satan, managed two clean kills just to mock the boy. Fun times.

  11. Yesterday was our first game with our own gnus instead of rentals, so there was much excitement in the lead-up to the day. First thing I realised was how much extra prep there is now. Make sure then gnu's are fit to fight, get LiPos charged ready to go, check mags are feeding, don't forget your speed-loader, bring a USB LiPo charger in case you need an emergency top-up at lunchtime... On the plus side, both my Double Eagle and the boys Cyma G36 performed flawless all day long, bar some intermittent feeding issues on full auto for the G36. Reading around it seems the HiCap G36 mag may be to blame, I have a spare for him to try next time. First time going through a chrono check, his clocked in at 313 on .20s and mine at 290 on .25s. Was surprised to just be asked what weight I was using, I had assumed I'd be asked to load a few of the sites own BBs so that people can't under report to get through chrono. Game highlights for me were managing to push up a central line unnoticed whilst the enemy were trying to flank on the left. As they encountered resistance in their push they started to bunch up, effectively stacking themselves up for me to pick off. Also managed to get a few CQBish kills in some clearance action walking into enemy held positions. Got the drop on a couple of guys, then I heard voices in a tower, so rounded the corner and loosed off a couple of shots. A trio of rental kiddies started yelping and looked like rabbits in the headlights, so I stopped at that point as it was pretty close range. The two survivors repaid my mercy by lighting me up, no good deed goes unpunished. We had a couple of friends (Dad and son) with us for their first go at airsoft who did the morning session. Sadly I don't think they'll be back, the young lad didn't enjoy being shot and I think was a bit overwhelmed by the whole affair, the morning session was pretty heavy in terms of incoming fire, which allows me a segue into... I'm still too new to the game to really have enough insight, but I've played a few games now, been hit many times (I'm crap) and at close range and never had much of a mark to show for it. Yesterday felt much heavier in terms of incoming fire. I had a few hits that stumbled me, you had a huge welt on your neck, some other guy had one even bigger than that. The boy has some decent impact marks on his chest even through a couple of layers of MTP. As you say, not sure if that was a someone shooting hot or just something that can consistently get a lot of rounds down range right up to the FPS limit. We've come into the game as newbies expecting some variation both in terms of sportsmanship and game-days, so we just include this alongside poor hit-taking or team-balancing issues in the bottom line figure of what makes a good day vs bad day in the world of airsoft.

  14. I agree with Jim, doesn't sound like much of a friend. I always find there is 1 "friend" in every group that makes money or takes the p out of the others on stuff financially. I can't see any ngrs that's been upgraded by unknown parts by unknown techs getting more than £500 and even if it was the best tech in the world.....your tech who fixed the wire has effectively made them irrelevant (as he could have introduced God knows how many issues). £400 is around the value id expect you to achieve.

  19. My 4th skirmish at Players of War Airsoft & 56 days from my first gameday, which means time to buy some RIF's. I'm not photogenic but here's some pics from today & the previous gamedays... Honest, I was holding the fort up in one pic (very Health & Safety conscious in my old age), The dodgy night pic is from around 1997/98 long after I left the TA so playing soldiers with springer L85A1 even back then. I'd like to add a big thanks to the site owners, marshalls & other players for the fun & games, I don't get many Sunday's off but have enjoyed crawling through the mud every time..

  20. Today was a good one at Worthing. It was one of their skirmish+ days where they introduce a few filmsim elements into it and I think it was run very well. We had to arrive early as one of the guys was helping with the car park as we had 90 players in total booked in, which is a LOT for Worthing as it's not the largest site, so my friend was helping with the car park to stop it becoming a nasty mess as it usually does. I brought the KJW m40a5 (as usual) and the MWS as a backup just in case. There was rain forecast from 11am onwards, so I decided to take the m40a5 out, but if the scope was getting soaked I would come back, remove the LPVO from the MWS (it's set up as a recce rifle build) and just run it with the iron sights. I started the day by getting on the range nice and early, before it got packed, so I could comfortably set up both rifles. The m40a5 had a new scope, so that needed zeroing, and the MWS had a new scope setup that needed zeroing and a hop up that needed setting as I had recently installed an NPAS and a 510mm barrel, so I needed to make sure it was shooting down at 1J. Managed to get them both set up, took them through chrono and got tagged; with this many players they were tagging guns (which was good!). Got all set up, safety brief done, headed out to cause some disruption. The morning went well, with me playing a lot more aggressively than I usually do. I pushed up, taking an aggressive position watching the ridgeline at the top of the hill from their spawn, attemtping to cut off any cheeky flanking moves. With how quiet the m40a5 is, I was picking them off with them having no idea where the shots were coming from, which is always nice, and I brought the rangefinder out a few times to measure distances for shots, as some were creeping up to about 85 - 90m, and knowing exactly how far the shots were really helped me work out where I needed to aim the crosshair to adjust for wind and distance. Eventually got spotted because someone ran right up to the holly bush I had crawled under, so I had to take him out with the pistol and then transfer over to his friend who spotted me. Managed to get his head down with a few shots and then quickly crawled out of the position and ran off. The guy had no idea I had moved, so he peeked around again to look for me under the bush, but I had run about 30m off and had a clear shot on him now. Was a good exchange and really showed the importance of moving quickly once detected, as if I stayed and tried to take the fight I definitely would've lost. Moved back to another position as my team had all left the area and I didn't feel good being this far up with a bolt action, so I took a position behind a fallen tree. Continued to plink away, but the position was quickly overrun and I had to lie still next to the tree as the enemy was all around my position. Eventually one started shooting over the fallen tree, no idea I was there but it was only a matter of time so I quickly shot him, gave him a heart attack and then got traded by the half a dozen other players who were all around me. If I was in a full ghillie I probably would've remained still and just let them pass, but since I was in my hood and wearing a black t-shirt I knew it would only be a matter of time before getting spotted if I tried that. It was raining by this point, but I managed to keep my scope dry by obsessively keeping my rifle horizontal as it wasn't raining too hard. However, I had a massive scare as I walked back to respawn as the QD mounting point in the rear of the stock fell out. With the Model Works m40 stock being so rare, there was no way in hell I'd find replacement parts. Fortunately I found the parts that slipped out and will be threadlocking them in place this evening so it never happens again (as it's a screw that goes all the way through and holds them in place). Shortly after this was lunch, so we headed back to the safe zone. After lunch they split me and my friend onto different teams (sniper team too strong) as a bunch of people had called it quits in the (light) rain and headed home. We started with 45vs45, but by lunch it was 24vs40. After lunch the games definitely fizzled out though. With the newly rebalanced teams they didn't stay balanced for long as then a lot of our team headed home, leaving us at about 24vs15. Knowing who was on the other team, I took it upon myself to cover the rear, as I knew that some of them would sneak all the way around and nobody else was bothering to watch for it. I took one of them out as he came in from behind, clipping him with the pistol as he rushed before he could get anyone and then managed to hunt one of the ghillies down who had spent about an hour and a bit painstakingly sneaking around the trail of respawning players from our team. I know how rough it feels when that happens as I've been on the receiving end a few times, but I wasn't about to let him silently take out my team from behind, even if they might've deserved it with how little care they seemed to have for their own flanks Anyway, I continued my patrols on that side, before moving up to help defend as our team was getting pushed at a base we were meant to hold. I took one player out as he came up, seeing his friend had crossed over the path I started to reposition to take him out as well and... friendly fired. I get shot by about 4 of my own team. Thanks guys... Anyway, I head back to respawn and we've now lost that base as the guy who slipped across the path took all of them out (didn't even feel bad about that. It's karma!), so I crept my way back. I managed to take up a hidden position looking into the base, but didn't want to be detected so I waited for my targets to start shooting before I'd thread shots through the bushes to take them out. As I was doing this, another guy on our team had pushed from the other side and retaken half the base, so we now had them in a pincer and it didn't take long for the two of us to clear out the rest of the base. Excellent, we had contol again so I crawled out and started moving up and... shot in the back by the EXACT SAME GROUP WHO FRIENDLY FIRED ME THE FIRST TIME ?. I think I find it so annoying because I make sure to PID my targets before shooting and it's incredibly rare I do any friendly fire, so getting hit by the same people, despite being the only person in my kit setup on the entire site (black t-shirt and an uncrafted cobra hood) was rather irritating. Third time was the charm as I moved up yet again after being shot by my team. I managed to get into a position I like taking to defend that base and held it until the game ended, plinking a few targets along one of the flanking paths. Wasn't too much time left in the game anyway and I was about ready to pack up anyway. Definitely need to clean the m40a5, as the bolt wasn't acting as it should right at the end of the day, so I think some dirt got into it at some point. All in all it was a good day and it was well run with very little cheating observed my me, though I heard there were a few teflon players and some other players who didn't feel like walking all the way back to respawn, but they were dealt with by the marshalls. Managed to go the full day with the m40a5, despite the rain, as I kept the scope dry all day. However, the one take away I have from today is to just buy some flip up scope covers. During wet weather I think they'll be invaluable keeping my sniper rifle in the fight.

  21. I moan like an old woman about that, but like being shot. It's part of the game. I will admit to walking to respawn, then when well out of the way, having a sit down for the requisite time it would have taken me. Way I see it, it gives me more energy for running at the enemy so they can light me up again ??

  22. Amen ? @Gunboat Diplomat, I've taken a few noobs to games over the years, & quite a few have complained about being shot, usually because it sometimes stings, but my response is always the same........ "IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SHOT, WORK HARDER, GET YOUR ARSE LOWER ON THE GROUND OR MOVE FASTER WHEN UNDER FIRE, & MOST OF ALL, THINK SMARTER" Obviously I'm not suggesting your not doing any of these things, but I consider this to be a competitive sport, if speed & fitness doesn't help your play, then sneaky tactics & use of the terrain/cover will help you win the day, just gotta find your playing style that gets the best results, rather than following the herd of codsofters lol.

    It's a worry...

I inferred IF-to-RIF from: "In some cases, items are made to look more realistic by being repainted. If the colour of the items is changed to make them look like a real firearm, this risks causing unnecessary concern to the general public." But, yes, it could be either, and it's the same S19 offence regardless.

  34. Well, all rather gutting that when I wanted to use the SIG, an accident got in the way and it ended up back in the gun bag... the end of the outer barrel + suppressor got snapped off at Spec Ops yesterday. This is what it looks like now... it is at least just a cosmetic problem, the gun does still seem to shoot straight The photo doesn't do a good job of showing it, but that's the 14mm CCW threaded part of the outer barrel that snapped off (quite cleanly on the gun side, but the broken piece has crumbled on one half, as can be seen above) I guess there's just about enough left of the outer barrel to try to tap it again so I can still fit the suppressor (it really makes it look good), I certainly want to get a flash hider on there again at the least. I don't think the outer barrel is a separate piece, I think it's part of the sight / gas block, but having removed one pin and the gas regulator, I can't see how it disassembles any further. Replacing the whole part might be a bit pricey for this rescued boneyard gat. Edit (to remove confusing bad info / question, and to link to bestest ebay item) I need a 'left hand' 14mm with a 1mm pitch. Which are 'unusual', but there's one on eBay for bugger-all money. I'll probably give it a shot if you guys give it a thumbs-up! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290721694064

  36. I can't imagine anything that would take you to £3k's worth of upgrades. I had a "fully upgraded" SCAR NGR's with a Titan, Prometheus Gears, inner barrel....basically all that was left TM was the body, hop unit and trigger. That brought it up to a £1200 build (including cost of the RIF). I've just double-checked and Eagle 6 will sell you a brand new, maxed out 416 for £1450. Anyway, I sold mine for £590. Bearing in mind I was the first owner and could list all the parts, plus demonstrate the work had been done by one of the leading NGRS techs. None of which applies in your case, so I certainly don't think you'd be "selling yourself short" if you were even in the same ballpark. Especially as people are staring to realise a "Fully Upgraded" NGRS does little more than a RIF costing a quarter of the price. There's nothing stopping you listing it for something like £500 and then you can drop as your need to sell increases.

  37. The other option would be a gas airsoft pistol as there are better sub £100 options available, but then you have the cost of gas. The ASG Mk23 in two tone is £68 on Patrol Base, and although I've never used one they seem to be well regarded. I'd assume it has the same super long trigger pull that the Tokyo Marui one I own does though.... There's a few guns in this price range, but I can't vouch for which ones are good and WE seem to have rebranded 28 times since I last bought anything lol.

  38. From the pictures this might look like not a bad deal till you read the description and realise half of it isn't listed. Also I'm sure I've seen the pic with the pistols in the cardboard box here before Edit: I had seen it before, on his previous listing

  39. We had a couple of .303 Bren guns in our ACF armoury back in the mid 1980’s. I remember being issued one for an exercise with 2 mags and just 20 blanks. I got a massive bollocking when during the contact I ripped the whole lot of in one burst. Sod carrying around that lump as a teenager

  40. It's not really a case of how many or what cost. The UK needs to be seen to be building the rifles in the UK after being burned in the past with limited or removed support for a foreign product that wan't used in the way they wanted us to use it. A couple of examples would be Comms during the Falklands and Helicopters not having software support and being grounded for years. Can't have a rifle that you can't get spares parts for just because the seller doesn't like the war you are fighting. My main concern is we don't design it ourselves as we will just end up with another EM2 but in 6.8mm. Ideally we should grab a bunch of German scientists and build a rocket that will reach the moon...oops sorry, I meant hire a bunch of weapon design specialists from a country that actually builds and uses guns and then patent the design.

  41. It's complete on 2 sides with walls being erected as and when they can, it has 2 levels but they're not safe to use yet (a marshall occasionally uses the upper level to... marshall). It's a huge site with bunkers, & cover all over the place, Checkout Players of War Airsoft on facebook for more site pics. Open on the inside at the moment, don't know if there are plans to build within the fort.

  43. I recently got a Platatac Peacekeeper 5 with a Chicom Y-harness. Loads of mag storage, additional molle space and very comfortable.

  44. The second paragraph is me - the bullet points are the Twitter author's view paraphrased. The platform is fine - but it's just a very well made M4. Nothing new. No space-wizard shit-hot unobtanium cool new technology. Just a nicely built M4. The UK already has a similarly-well built M4 already in inventory (albeit in limited numbers) - it's called the Colt Canada/Diemaco L119A1/2 - as used by those special folks and a some RM and RMP units. I think the author is pissed as this selection process (Project HUNTER) for the Rangers/Royal Marines could feed into to the wider Project GRAYBURN to replace the L85 completely in HM Armed Forces use. Buying a fairly standard (but quite cool looking) M4 platform and using existing 5.56 ammunition could be argued as a wasted (once in a generation) opportunity - instead of buying into something with higher lethality and better ballistic performance to defeat modern body armour. I think the author wants something more gucci to align with the US DoD M7 program (i.e. a Sig-based Piston Driven 6.8mm platform). But the KS-1 will work just fine - like the millions of other Direct Impingement 5.56mm M4 guns in use all over the world.

Hi mate, just gave it a deep clean and re greased and oiled everything up. No change still misses every other shot. Two older mags I have changed some of the o rings on as they were leaking anyway. The mags sit tight when inserted and there is no play up and down, even when trying to push them up when firing no difference. Upside down it will fire correctly for some reason so I suppose that means it needs more gas to come out? I have got a stronger amg hammer spring to see if that helps. I notice it gets stuck a little bit if I gently cock it back, it sounds almost like there is some part rubbing. I am just not able to see what it is. When i take it appart after firing the liquid left inside has some black residue so some black part obviously. I have heard of people filing back a part just not sure what. I have attached an image showing how it got stuck.

  47. I finally got round to fixing my leaking mag with the gaskets I bought and voila, no more leaking mag. I got a night game coming up next week so an extra mag means less mucking around in the dark.

  49. Any site that thinks they have their finger on the pulse with chrono but insists on only testing with 0.2g makes me roll my eyes because of this. The other silly thing with doing so is that guns with really strong hop setups can be buggered up by firing lightweight BBs so you either risk that or can't play at that site using it - I have a gun with an R hop that applies a reasonable amount of hop with the dial turned to the lowest setting. Joule creep was fairly well documented on the Airsoft sniper forum 5-10 years ago, so there's no excuse.

  50. I thought HPA was considered the most consistent FPS wise? The only almost certainly overpowered hit I ever took in the 100 or so games I've played was most likely a CO2 gun with a new bulb, made me consider stopping for the day it was so painful(relative to normal hits) - felt like being shot with a coin and left a bruise the size of one... I don't see their rules mention CO2 at all outside of launchers so are they just fine despite the new bulb issue?
