While I agree in general that they aren't the best, by sending a RIF using them you're sending an item which is on their prohibited items list. If you're sending things using couriers educate yourself on what you can and can't send then you're ultimately responsible for what happens to the items you're attempting to send. In my experience all online booking in services have a box you have to tick that confirms you're not sending anything you shouldn't be, given the terms they lay out they're not the ones in the wrong here. https://www.evri.com/send/what-i-can-and-cannot-send4 points

Channel your inner Shadow The Hedgehog on the field of battle, with this snazzy half-face balaclava scarf thing with a freakin' SKULL printed on the front of it! Woah, totally scary my dude! You are certain to win all your games if you wear this! (Not a guarantee). I think it even glows in the dark! So it'll be even easier to get shot in the teeth intimidate your worthless enemies. You could even mildly cosplay as that Call of Duty character everyone knows and loves. What's his name? Ghostface? Skullman? I forget. But he sure is cool, and so you too can be if you buy this thing. Buy it. Buy it now. Time wasters encouraged. ________________________________ Disclaimer: This mask is made of a thicker, warmer material than most half-face balaclavas I've seen when Googling, so it'll certainly take out some of the energy from a BB to your face, but it is not intended specifically to be face protection. It's just a scarf after all. Real price - just cover postage and it's yours. (but if, for some reason of madness, you do want to pay me the "LiStEd PrIcE", I'm not going to say no.) Postage options: - Plain RM 2nd Class - £2 - RM Tracked 48 - £4.35 Payment options: - Bank transfer - Paypal (either Friends or Family OR Goods and Services. Your choice, but note that any fees are payable by you.)£1,249.99

Provenance in pictures ?
RostokMcSpoons and 2 others reacted to alxndrhll for a topic
As someone that used the classifieds a lot I wouldn't personally think it's necessary to be mandatory at all, as mentioned throughout the thread it's commonly known that the safest way to protect yourself is how you pay. Ranging from bank transfer/PayPal F&F through to PayPal G&S and/or collecting the item(s) in person at an agreed location. It's seemingly hard enough for folks to follow the rules currently in place, let alone adding more... and then the burden of having to moderate that. I've gone through the classified rules below and highlighted in red the ones which are already not followed on a fairly regular basis. No shade at the mod team at all, I'm aware it's a lot of traffic to try and stay on top of... it's purely to illustrate a point. Forum Specific Rules (action will be taken against your account for disregarding these) Failure to comply with the rules will result in you receiving a ‘Forum Warning’. Warnings start with the verbal kind and steadily increase in respect of seriousness/repeat offences right through to a ban and deletion of all posts and topics along with your user account. Find out more about ‘Forum Warnings’. All sales / trades must take place between two adults (i.e. over 18 years of age). All sales and swaps must use the sales template. Add additional information to let buyers know your trade preferences or location for collection. This will help sell your gun or gear as listing without pictures rarely sell. All sales must have an asking price. The price must be in UK Sterling £. All sales and swaps topics must have a picture, all pictures must be taken by the seller (adding a piece of paper with your forum name and date helps, but is not a rule). Do not use a retailers pictures - take your own. You must have access to the item that you're selling. You cannot be selling items that you do not own, are not able to post immediately or being sold on the behalf of someone else. You must include a picture of every item that you are selling. It is not acceptable to just show a box or use a stock images. Pictures must be visible in the listing (whilst we do allow links to other forums, simply placing a link instead of a picture is not permitted). Do not list the same item twice simultaneously. I.e. don't 'double list' an item. You cannot have an advert in both Sales and Swaps section for the same item, just select "For sale or swap" for advert type. Once your item(s) is/are definitely sold/you've found the item you're looking for (even if the sale happened elsewhere), please mark the advertisement as 'complete' by visiting the listing and clicking 'Set as Complete'. Second hand airsoft-relevant items only. No selling/swapping of any other items, this includes offering items such as consoles for trade. There are no exceptions to this rule. No sales of knives, real guns, airguns, or any item of any description that readily fires metal munitions, metal munitions themselves, or any other weapon of any type, aside from IFs and RIFs within the legal limits. The following limits are on all sales with no exceptions: <370ft/s for full auto systems with a .20g BB (1.3J is the legal maximum) <520ft/s for semi auto systems .20g BB (2.5J is the legal maximum) <520ft/s for single fire systems .20g BB (2.5J is the legal maximum) You must communicate with your buyer/seller once a transaction is initiated (i.e. ignoring their PMs or topics asking what's going on with a sale/purchase). If you complete a trade/sale of any kind via the forums, please leave feedback for the seller/buyer, this allows us to see who we can trust or who we need to keep an eye on. You may leave feedback by going here. Any suspicions about the item(s) or seller should be sent via PM to a Moderator. Use the "Report this advert" link at the bottom of the listing and include a message (this will flag an issue for Moderators to look at). Just seems like an unecessary addition which won't stand to curb much of the 'dodgey' activity, the bulk of which in my experience happens in PMs in response to wanted ads rather than classified listings themselves. I was the seller of the item, all prices I provide in listings are inclusive of postage and G&S fees. When a buyer chooses to pay via F&F due to my feedback reputation it's appreciated but by no means pushed, or even mentioned on my part for that matter. Every item I send* is sent with tracking and the appropriate amount of compensation on it to ensure coverage should it go missing. With full transparency being that the buyer couldn't have possibly known that at the time of sending funds. Apologies to @Kriszif they feel I've overshared here. *Where possible, PF48 with £150 compensation is as good as you can get on RIFs if you're abiding the 'prohibited items' rules laid out by the various couriers... assuming my information is still up to date here, which I believe it to be. For the most part I tend to arrange delivery/collection in person for RIFs in lieu of being able to provide adequate compensation coverage. Aaaaanyway, this isn't about me as a seller, just highlighting that not having G&S doesn't necessarily mean the buyer, seller or both are entirely up shit creek is something goes awry courtesy of outrwonderful postal service... depending on how the seller sends it. TLDR - I don't think it's a necessary change, but I'll follow it should the rules be updated... as I do with all the existing rules.3 points -

ak2m4 and 2 others reacted to Dan Robinson for a topic
Little update, Cage were running silent so I bought my own set of 16:1 gears and had a crack at rebuilding and shimming. Took a few goes and lots of YouTube but I think I finally cracked it (so to speak). I don't know what I did differently so can only assume the missing teeth on the old cogs were the reason for gearbox locking. Pew number one is now back together and cycling nicely with a decent punch of air coming out of the barrel. Can't really test it properly though at this time of night. Plus I should really put some grease on the insides. But it appears that I have graduated to Junior Tech First Class. Have some proper silicone grease coming tomorrow so hopefully will get it rebuilt following a successful garden test in good time for next game day on the 19th. Will upload a video for you guys to assess the sound as best as can be done to see how it is.... I still have trouble discerning what's acceptable and what is good when it comes to these cheaper gearboxes. I'm still envious of some guns who sound like the gears are running on silk, but I'm guessing they're 4 figure pews..3 points -

Shamal mentioned this (on the wrong thread) but it's definitely interesting... A really innovative set of internals. It seems it's already on sale for ~$450 so it won't be cheap but it has enough features to make it a potential "Am Bestest Gnu" at the mid-to-upper price range Edit: Apologies - although I searched I didn't spot the thread from last year about this. There aren't many users reviews of this yet. One of them is just gameplay but the owner says in the comments he's going to change a bunch of the internals, including the motor which apparently has a poor reputation.2 points -

People have been nicked for disassembling rifs and spreading the bits between two vehicles. As the lady from the embassy said, 'No exceptions.' You also have to resist laughing when the German plod demand your papers, ask you your name etc. They don't have much sense of humour around firearm offences and the odd Dad's Army line may result in much trouble.* *Asking a leather trenchcoated transit policeman if he models himself on the Gestapo WILL result in trouble too. HFC. Surprised its not been mentioned yet. They might not be on a lot of airsofters radar as they aren't regularly stocked by big name retailers. HOWEVER, they are stocked by justbbguns who brand them as the gap between garden plinkers and entry level airsoft guns. I distinctly remember jambwow doing a review of a HFC pistol (either a mauser or a beretta) and he was saying that it was amazing and bestest gnu etc. They are absolutely dog shit.1 point

Boys m89 DE ump45 stock shortening
Egon_247 reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
You could certainly try - I mean TommyBuilt G36s and UMPs are made by reworking the plastic of the civilian H&K models - welding new sections of receiver together. There are quite a few videos on YouTube about using a soldering iron to weld broken plastic pieces together. It would probably look a bit gopping on your first go, but you could use a cheap 2nd hand G36 stock to practice on. Just try it in a well ventilated area.1 point -

it does amaze me how folk are happy to take the ridiculous depreciation hit that selling airsoft equipment secondhand provides, but then cheap out at the last minute for the sake of a few £.1 point -
I'd say that won't work as the DE one has a battery hatch in the rear of the upper receiver. That said, you might be able to get the hinge pin out and swap the actual stock part over. Can he not just run it with the stock folded?1 point

I would try to retrofit a shorter UMP stock first something like this: https://www.sixmm.com/en-gb/products/cyma-mp5-ump-foldable-airsoft-stock-for-mp5-mp5k-aeg-series. Ofc it's airsoft who knows if it's compatible. More expensive solution is selling it and buying a Double Eagle M917C UTR45 which is very similar looking gun.1 point

Thanks for your input, but your clearly not the problem, all you've really highlighted is your professional approach to trading on here. Yes a small mods team who do their best to police sales etc, but they're understandably reliant on the support of members being proactive themselves, of which there is a core of us that will raise concerns or nudge OP's if they've not followed rules or they've piqued or suspicions. It's all we can do, & if making small adjustments such as the picture "thing" helps everyone then great. The mention of F&F wasn't intended in this thread, God knows it's been done to death in other threads, & yet still people sometimes get suckered by less scrupulous "members", which is a shame the point still isn't getting through 😞1 point -
