Does strike me as odd that being shot at seems such an issue. As for breaking fingers at more than 20m with a BB... assuming I read that correctly? I smell some bullshit frankly. Either that or medical attention should be sought immediately after selling all your kit. There's some severe osteoporosis going on there. @AirSniper, From your description your running the Lebanon, not an airsoft field. Grow a pair, or grow sone lovely flowers instead.3 points -

in your most recent post you seemed pretty confident it was one specific person, so not hard to point out? i know the feeling, but the message you're giving the site currently is "don't worry about mr airsniper complaining about certain players, he'll grumble and moan on the internet and be back with a fresh set of green fee's next week" yes it does, which is why the unfortunate truth is that whilst some venues might be able to maintain a better average, even an otherwise good site can be ruined by a couple of cunts picking that place on that weekend to show up and ruin everyone else's fun. unfortunately, the human race's infinite ability to generate arseholes means this is a problem that airsoft will never be able to rid itself of. end of the day this is a hobby played for fun, to enjoy ourselves, and if it's not possible to maintain enough good times to overrule the bad then why keep doing it? why expend the time, money and effort to keep doing something that's just making you angry and frustrated?2 points -

That being said, I had a Shadow SP01 that shit its internals the first mag I fired (on green gas!!!). I took it back and Urban Airsoft Mega Store swapped it straight away. Can't fault that for warranty support. But, as you point out, not all warranties are as well honoured, unfortunately.1 point -
Well if you look at how bio BBs are tested, the humidity and pressure they're tested at means we must be playing on Mercury or something to see them disappear in 60 days, as most companies state1 point

Hi! All the advice so far is about hiding your new hobby from your other half, we don't even know if you're married 😁 (I've been soooo fortunate with almost all my new guns and parts turning up when my wife has been at work. If you can't be good, be lucky!) Ask all the questions you like, we're happy to help1 point -

Just picked up a set of British aircrew ubacs and combat bottoms in mtp. With my history of setting myself on fire with my own grenade, the subsequent burn hole in my atacs ix ubacs and a tear in my atacs ix trousers. It was time for some new stuff. On the plus side its also flame retardant. Which tbe gut at hoopers surplus was more than happy to point out amongst all our giggling at me explaining the story.1 point -
Eh. Advert is honest[*] enough, and some folk might want to save £25 - £35 over retail in return for a warranty that probably wouldn't be honoured anyway because "clearly been used with the wrong colour of CO2, mate". [*] Although I'd raise an eyebrow at the claim that someone who does basically nothing but flip guns isn't effectively a retailer.1 point

Hello & welcome! Loads of advice and friendly folk here. Handily there's a couple of guys at work that also play, so disposing of packaging and then saying 'I got it cheap from X' works pretty well. I also do a lot of biking so a few bits of kit may have been mis-described as bits for the bike.1 point

Evolution Bio 0.28g BBs at Patrolbase - Any good?
RostokMcSpoons reacted to Rogerborg for a topic
I use those particular Evolutions (0.28g bio), they've been fine so far.1 point -
True, but that's the retailer's contract with the manufacturer, which isn't relevant to the consumer's contract with the retailer, and our statutory rights regarding fitness for purpose, freedom from defects, and durability. Those lie with the retailer - any manufacturer support is a bonus. I'd be astonished if any UK retailer is actually sending broken toys back to the manufacturer. Maybe at the TaiwanGun level, but even PatrolBase just punts them on as boneyard guns. Anyway, to answer the original question: I can't think of many. Kingdom of Airsoft will sell you a new gun from a very limited range and a service for it, or a by-the-hour rate of £45. I wouldn't pay that much for someone else to work on a toy, but then I'd expect paying less than that to create more problems than solutions. PatrolBase don't list services, but they do a lot of tech work, so you could always ask. Again though, what quality are you really going to get from an assembly line?1 point

I probably use it more as a monocular if I'm honest. At most airsoft ranges, looking through a 3x magnification brings targets way too close for my liking. The mount mine is on is solid though, with no flapping about.1 point -
Specna SA-C12 CORE not feeding. Now gearbox rebuild.
Lozart reacted to Dan Robinson for a topic
Was looking at those this evening... The boy wanted to do a DMR build, so might use that as an excuse to learn how to build a gearbox from a donor seeing as we have a perfectly good aeg box in it now.... Just change spring and boxes out to change roles. Then of course need to learn more about motors and interactions with voltages. God damn this hobby 😂1 point -

Have you considered that you may be pursuing a hobby for which you are not suited? Playing airsoft seems to be very stressful for you; in particular, getting shot seems to really upset you. Perhaps knitting would suit you better.1 point -

Adventures in Wonderland or who the “fruitcage” is ALICE?
Lozart reacted to The Waco Kid for a topic
In summary: The TLBV is not a bad option for airsoft. It had a massive range of adjustment, smaller players will have the pouches in the front. For bigger players they will sit on the sides. Originals and many copies are of decent construction and by omitting the belt it makes a light weight rig. It’s well ventilated and easy to take on and off quickly. Down side for some is the limitation on what can be carried it a belt rig isn’t added. Yep, definitely worth backing up the cord locks with a knot or “toaster” toggle. My PTS Pmags work okay. I do draw and insert the rear mag first so it’s stepped above the front one. Might make a difference? I can see the old rubber ranger pulls being a no go, ‘coz they is Thicc….. 😝1 point -

Buy cheap buy twice... I understand that you don't want to spend too much money on it but you need realistic expectations. If you don't mind a bit of parallax or ghosting then go for a cheaper one. I'm sure Holy Warrior has an official online shop on aliexpress it could be cheaper than any uk retailer.1 point -
3D Printers...
Rogerborg reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
That's....a big step up from something like an Ender. Be prepared to learn Klipper/Mainsail and spend a quite some time tuning for best performance. Voron-based designs don't necessarily print better than cheaper printers, but they are a whole lot faster - and that's where the tuning and testing come in with factors like input shaping and resonance compensation etc. I was considering a Voron Switchwire conversion of my Ender 3 V2, even built out and used the Voron fan duct assembly for some time. Once I did all the costings of the linear rails, belts and other sundries needed, I kinda lost interest because I could buy another printer for the same money. I know the print are is smaller, but have you considered the Prusa Mini+?1 point -

I am in a similar situation to the OP in that this is the first time I wanted to get a classic Eotech style holographic site for an mk18 build. I have bought this site off fleabay (yeah I know...) but from a looks point of view it was the closest to the Eotech and that was in stock, without spending hundreds of pounds. At this stage I am not sure if I like this style over the red dots I have but, this was for the look: SOTAC EXPS 3.0 Holographic Red Green Dot Reflex Sight XPS3 558 £63 It looks Ok but, there is a lot of distortion on the lens if you move your head/view point from the very center and I am considering sending it back but, again, no where has stock of the HW S1 in tan in stock which seems the best clone even at ~£140 I just stumbled across this very good comparison video which also backs the claim that, out of the ones tested, the HW S1 is the best:1 point -
Entirely possible, with it being cerakoted I imagine the paint has a lot to do with variance in how tight thing are/aren't. Very impressed by the kit on the whole, just waiting on a can to arrive from HK to finish it. Did end up opting for the Inline Arisaka mount which arrived today. May well swap the sling out for a Trex Arms one, like the look of the AOR1 one but prefer the functionality of the Trex. Will post up some nicer photos once the can has arrived 👌1 point
