Welcome back, you don't say whether you already have any guns ?, either from your previous time playing or more recently ?. The reason I ask is imho I don't think anybody should have just one gun, as if it fails on a gameday, as is possible in ANY price range, then your day is potentially fooked, never mind the loss in green fees & the near extortionate costs of driving currently to distant sites. With such a generous budget, I'd consider two aegs, what you buy may be influenced by your current mag situation, or alternatively two very different platform styles, whatever floats your boat or suits the types of venues you frequent ?

Good rule of thumb is try to avoid charging more than 1c. Take the capacity of the battery eg: 1600mah, divide by 1000 gives you 1c or 1.6 amps. If in doubt slower is the safer option to go for, given the usage of airsoft there shouldnt be any need to go fast just charge up before game day and if you run out mid-day then buy more batteries.

That's a lockup which happens when the trigger is released too quickly for the gearbox to finish a cycle. Switching to auto just finishes the cycle as it ignores the position of cutoff lever. This is one of the benefits of using a more advanced MOSFET which can monitor the gears and automatically completes a cycle even if the trigger has been released. Its not really bad for the gearbox but a battery with higher C rating will help as will learning to hold the trigger until a shot is complete.

Yeah, higher C rating is better as its a measure of highest burst current. You may not notice a huge improvement but its better for the battery anyway.

Yeah, with that budget I'd go with a variety of play styles. Maybe an MP5 for sneaky-sneaky and a DMR for longer range stand-off for example.

Possibly the spring on the trigger bar is gone. it's under the right hand grip panel.

budget recommendation: CYMA M14 this is a clone of the TM version and shoots fantastic out the box, can still be got for £150ish and you get shorter barrel version which will do CQB and out doors, Pretty much any CYMA metal body AK. Mid budget: they are old now but Tokyo Marui P90 RD using MAG 170rd mid caps are a great platform for cqb and can hold their own in wood lands. you could also get a 5-7 as a side arm. Tokyo Marui AUG something different. has take down function so you could swap out receivers/ barrels for different configurations. has progressive trigger or selector switch for semi/auto fire. Top end: Tokyo Marui Scar L Recoil is one of the cheaper of the recoil but has all of the functionality of the newer models. for shits and giggles tokyo Marui AA-12 with a drum mag. Full auto, triple barrel shotgun with recoil. whats not to love?

Call me cynical, but when someone's first post is basically asking for someone to spend their money on something it makes me suspicious.

I suggest that you start over. Forget the back-story, it's not relevant. Just spell out clearly what you are asking someone to do, in terms of actions, items, and money. What's going to be received, what's going to be sent, who's paying for it, and how.

My finalised chest rig/belt kit. I really can't think of anything else it needs. It's ergonomically perfect and has exactly everything I need for a half day of games and nothing else: FNX with 2 mags, 3 hicaps, bb bag, fags and lighter, whistle, pockets for car keys and enough dump pouch space for anything I might need to stuff in there.

Ended up buying another respirator case just for the molle mounted flap pouches on the side (2 flap pouches on their own were going to cost a £ more than a case with 2 pouches attached). If you haven't seen these they're great little all-purpose pouches that fold flat when empty and expand up and out when full. Easy big enough to get two lonex mags in and still velcro shut. Not sure what to do with the resulting spare satchel, it does fit nicely on the back panel of my chest rig but I don't think I need the storage.

21yrs for me my 1st gun was a 4th or 5th hand TM M16 that the front end wobbled like a leaf in the wind no matter how tight you tried to get it ! 😳 who used to buy their gun from RSOV/Gunner/WGC that used to arrive doing 400+fps all the time pre UKARA ? You’d get that letter from parcel farce saying your parcel from Hong Kong was at your local Depo and you had to go and pick it up from there and you possibly may have got caught and have to pay some charges(they’d usually say something like ‘toy parts with a value of $10 on this honking big box !🤦‍♂️) on it ! 🤬 🤣🤣🤣

I'm about 20 years in now. Good fun in the old day. £300 for a TM M4, that had about a 5 piece barrel held together with grub screws, 2 piece hop unit and lugs that would break if you ever opened it up. To this day... Famas am best gun. Airsoft dynamics was an absolute shit show but had a good player gallery. There seemed to be a lot more variety. When a new gun came out it was often a different weapon rather than a new varient. There was also some great kits if you wanted to put the work in. Anyone remember smokey's? That used to be the only way to get a 74 or something exotic like a Swedish K. UZI's were plentiful, midcaps didn't exist and AEG's were all the rage getting rid of those annoying guns that required external air tanks... Won't see the likes of those again... Sun project Xm177's... Old technology long forgotten... No sir never again... Thanks Marui man!
