Another BRILLIANT day at Red Alert. Lots of kills, lots of deaths, LOADS of laughter. Great marshalling, great hit calling. I bloody love that site. No two days are the same, as they change up game modes often, thanks to the size and layout of the site. I highly recommend Red Alert Newbury if it's within your travelling distance. Also, Sneaky is a damn good shot with his DMR!!

it was a good game. I shot someone and the BB went down the tracer's barrel. I was out more than I was in... It was a nice return after being ill.

Nowhere near as jazzy or fancy as half of the bits in here, but if it works it works 🤷🏻‍♂️. Made use of an old tracer unit, dremeled a bit of length off, added some o-rings and now it might actually see some use.

lmao , I did exactly the same thing … but I just can’t justify it . At the other end of the budget VFC are bringing a full metal officer sized pistol to the table very soon (if not out all already ) it appears to be blank and trademark free so perhaps some custom engraving might in order . I did also see a mention somewhere that it may be TM compatible ? .

Good day at RIFT The Ridge! Years since I was last there (in a 4x4) so it was interesting to see it from an airsoft perspective. The site is massive, but due to the extremely undulating nature of the ground and thick vegetation, I think 90% of all engagements throughout the day were at no more than 20m. At one point I was the opposite side of a small ridge line to the enemy taking potshots, but because of the bushes they just couldn’t find me 😂 Kit wise I had my TM recoil, decided to run my battle belt along with my chest rig. If it wasn’t for the fact that the belt kept undoing itself as I was crawling around I probably would have been tempted to just use that all day; it was only in the final 20 minute game that I actually used more than 3 magazines. So for now at least I think my shooter belt build will be shelved while I try to justify it! RIFT ran a tight ship and good game as always, there was the normal moaning but non-hit taking but as I only seemed to be getting shot by our own team I can’t comment on that! Not sure we’ll rush back in a hurry as the steep hills have completely knackered me, but it was a great one off for a bit of variation.

What are the chances of this...? About a month or so ago I wanted to start a new project build of Al Pacino's 1991 in heat, then Nova comes out with the EXACT same kit for 3 times what I had in mind It has to be some glitch in the matrix or some sick joke. Just doing some quality-of-life tinkering before next week's game. Found an old ammo tin my dad used for fishing stuff, bit of a clean and spray here and there and it's now my new mag carrier, with space for oodles of mags and bbs. Also made a couple of BB bags out of some soft goggle cases, cable ties and water bottles, they work great for carrying and dispensing BBs in the field.

Attacksense is a cool system but if you don’t need all the bells and whistles you can build your own using Raspberry Pi / Arduino and some basic coding. Targets can be built out of 3mm lexan for not much money and you even get to choose the colour of the LEDs.

Nozzle sticking in the hop unit or really sluggish ? Is the the bolt travel back and forth quicker than the nozzle can ping back with it , Strip the bolt carrier group and make sure everything is well greased and check the nozzle return spring would be my first port of call .

New eye pro and dump pouch arrived, eye pro looks very promising… and the dump pouch is one I’ve owned previously so know what to expect. Aside something to carry hydration as we venture into the, what should be, warmer months alongside a can of gas and I’m pretty set 😊. P.S. A picture of just some glasses and a dump pouch is decidedly boring so I went with some artist licence.

Built this up last week , all stock TM internals apart from an upgraded recoil spring and it was running ok but the nozzle return couldn’t keep up , and the hop rubber (original , estimated at 10yr old ) was gash , fitted a maple leaf inner & hop rubber and a nozzle return spring from an AAP01 and it’s running like a boss . New gas routers and mag valves on the way too so hopefully it’ll make a reliable warm weather plinker . 38" is bang on for my body, still a tiny bit of slack. 32" inseam is a touch long but I can live with it (I wish they made a 30" inseam, would've been perfect)

Warrior LPC V2 in Ranger Green 🤯 Also picked up a SRU helmet - bloody massive but pretty cool, the fans are surprisingly quiet and haven't experienced any fogging. Very sturdy, quite impressed

Gave the Platatac Dax v4tigers a run out, up there with my favourite variants of the G3-alikes. The double knee cinch on the rear and the elasticated bottoms are particularly welcomed additions.

Getting good 1911 grips in the UK seems near impossible to be honest. Even more so for non-government sized models. I've seen some officer sizes for sale on Brownells (example), and I'm also currently working with Navidrex (homepage - US based; supplies grips to Brownells UK) on a set of custom made-to-order wood grips. Its around $20 for a custom set of hand checkered grips so pretty affordable. Shipping costs more than the grips though.. Fingers crossed that UPS doesn't muck up the shipping but otherwise Navidrex was really good with accommodating custom options so check them out. This is a standard Navidrex set sold on Brownells (colour is a bit darker with ~10 coats of tung oil). I'm pretty sure they can make something like this in officer size from scratch.

Had too much time to myself today for the first time in forever, got bored and gave the NGRS the same treatment as the MWS. Looking forward to it getting worn in, magnifier/mount not painted because I’ve barely used them since buying them so toying with selling and that’s a lot of ££ worth RS of mount that painting would hit the resale value of should I decide to.

Another decent day at the very-CQB Biohazard. High intensity, not too much faffing around between games, and generally fair and good natured play. The newer upstairs area is great, with a killhouse maze in the middle that saw the bodies piled like cordwood. I'm surprised they don't make more use of that floor. The usual complaints regarding marshalling. Too much generic lecturing at briefings, too little enforcement in game. I got cheat called by a gobby grenadier who was adamant that I wasn't behind hard cover and so he must have got me. Every time I shot him, he came back and had another shouty moan about it. Unaware that there was a marshal standing right next to me who'd told me not to take his grenade hit. Funny up to a point, but she could hear him cheat calling and didn't do anything thing about it. Don't say it if you're not going to enforce it.
