It is indisputable fact that "Bullshot" is the zenith of British cinema, and civilisation. After "I should have shot that Fokker down", it was all managed decline.2 points -
Not a mind blowing bargain, but it's been brought to my attention that Patrol Base are selling Valken MI-7 full face masks for £24.99 plus postage, in all colours including DPM - obviously the best colour. I can't find them for under £32-35 plus postage anywhere else, and usually the camo versions come at a premium. That's a pretty good price for a dual-pane thermal lens, and you don't have to run some Ghostbusters scuba-tanked drum-mag gold Hi-Capa with them. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/valken-annex-mi-7-full-face-mask?pv=66802 points

There are plenty of things that you can buy in the UK, including full auto airsoft guns over 1.3J - i.e. section 5 firearms. That doesn't actually make it legal to sell or buy them. It just means that you can buy them. These are separate considerations.2 points

Importing a RIF in current climate
emit and one other reacted to Pappa Large for a topic
Didn't order a RIF but bought parts and other related stuff for £180ish from Gunfire 30/1021 and used GLS instead of UPS. Yesterday Parcel Force let me know i owe £40 and will be delivered on 15/11/21. Apart from the charges it looks like delivery back to normal fingers crossed. I got a project on the go and might buy a cheap sniper and see how it goes with Border Farce. Shame about TG as i want the Fostec shotty which is released soon.2 points -
One old gent I have played with is in his late 60's. If they start affecting other peoples game/become a proven insurance liability to the site then they should probably stop. Otherwise it's no ones business.1 point

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
Tactical Pith Helmet reacted to Skara for a topic
Not much to say about today's games. It was definitely a lesson for the new members to care after their kit, as 4 magazines and two guns died in the span of 30 minutes. We did end the day earlier because it started pouring, but technical difficulties aside, it was an okay day The weather has been inclement lately so a lot of trees fell and made my usual flanking routes an absolute nightmare to navigate but in the end I still managed to get past some pretty hefty defenses.1 point -
As long as you set it so the mag release isn't inside the fabric part of the holster then it works great, but yeah, if you set it up where the mag release falls below the fabric, you will lose mags. I just love my HK pistols though, so this isn't a problem I suffer from any more1 point

Pistol holster for pistol w. flashlight
occidio reacted to SeniorSpaz87 for a topic
Find an old Safariland 6000 series holster. Secondhand theyre reasonable on price, and will fit your gun and most pistol lights. Avoid anything with a laser as they dont help you in any way, are banned at many sites, and will limit your holster options. Youll want to look for either a Glock .40cal or a G17 model holster - depending on who Nov copied his G18 from will depend on which it fits. For instance WE is slightly oversized and requires either modification (easy to do with kydex) or a .40cal holster. Like this for example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372074582487?hash=item56a15f91d7:g:ciUAAOSwJM5fUjQG1 point -

Shipping costs are high; however, a RIF that is 50p over the £135 minimum rather than 41p under has a delivery cost of £23.50.1 point -
Sites near Redditch ?
Tackle reacted to Stratton Oakmont for a topic
I’m 3miles from Redditch, by far the only recommended site nearby that meets your criteria is warzone in ansty near Coventry. There is nothing nearer that comes close.1 point -
@colinjallen shipping cost clearly gone through the roof, £51 sounded high but I just checked my DSV / UPS account and for a 4kg package pickup from Wroclaw Poland to UK came out to £70. However do the reverse, UK to Poland via Parcel2Go and UPS standard is £27 (£50 insurance).1 point

Just felt like posting a pic or two…since my G&p A1 receiver bought it in the flames, I just had the ‘burning’ desire to create a new version. Managed to literally dig from the embers, my army code barrel AND front sight!!! And decided to go gbb. I also had an a2 gbb but that wasn’t so fortunate, and is one for the nice insurance man to sort. anyways, just the upper mods to do and the engraving…. For the purists out there; my G&p thumbscrew mount acog is cremated so this will have to do atm, and for reference, the peq-2 is an invisiblesight IR version I was lucky to have safe at my son’s.1 point

Under firearms act definitions airsoft guns would be air weapons, thus an air rifle, air gun or air pistol. But section 57a raised an exemption if an airsoft gun is compliant F157AException for airsoft guns (1)An “airsoft gun” is not to be regarded as a firearm for the purposes of this Act. (2)An “airsoft gun” is a barrelled weapon of any description which— (a)is designed to discharge only a small plastic missile (whether or not it is also capable of discharging any other kind of missile), and (b)is not capable of discharging a missile (of any kind) with kinetic energy at the muzzle of the weapon that exceeds the permitted level. (3)“Small plastic missile” means a missile that— (a)is made wholly or partly from plastics, (b)is spherical, and (c)does not exceed 8 millimetres in diameter. (4)The permitted kinetic energy level is— (a)in the case of a weapon which is capable of discharging two or more missiles successively without repeated pressure on the trigger, 1.3 joules; (b)in any other case, 2.5 joules.] https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1968/27/section/57A1 point

to be fair, the boots on some bm's are tiny, can't even fit an mg42.....1 point -
My son is an overweight player. Fact that he is the size of an adult but still not 16 yet, should give you an idea or in sizes, takes an adult size XL or in inches, around a 48 inch waste. So not your average teen player, couple that with the fact that he is very self conscious of his size, in the game site he uses, there are other large players in the game. Go at your pace, its not a race to win but to take part and have fun. When I was at NAF21 this year, there were plenty of people there that were overweight, mostly dads with their sons. I play and I am not the fittest or slimmest of players either, so don't fret about anything, I bring in a defensive role, watching for rear end attacks. Only advice I will give you is to make sure you have sturdy boots that are the military type boots, I twisted my ankle a couple of weeks back and glad I was wearing them as I could have easily broke my ankle. I will suggest ONE item that no one ever is advised to get with any Eyepros... Anti-fog spray or wipes.1 point

I do have to flag up "Not played yet, want GBBR" as a potential way to see another couple of GBBRs appear in the classifieds. We usually recommend AEG -> gas pistol -> GBBR / HPA in about that order as you start sinking your kids' inheritance into this hobby. Find out if you like it first playing in easy mode before switching to hard mode or buying premium gear.1 point

Thing is boneyard means different things to different people. Someone might sell something as boneyard simply because the fuse is blown or its had a bb jam. But yes some stuff is junk, but again folk might have crazy projects or want obscure spare parts and its easier to get a boneyard gun to pillage. You see the same thing with cars, people do buy scrap cars to take banger racing, or to pillage for parts (aka breakers yards).1 point -

Putting the energy in yourself makes it more personal. Same with shotguns. Hours and hours of futile jerking your hand back and forth, but what a feeling when you finally blow your load right in someone's face.1 point -
