  2. Ok, let's just stop. You're quite obviously advertising crap on the Wanted classifieds for this website and don't know anything about UKARA, we've already had people like EPICLlama spamming us with this crap. Any future posts mentioning Spraythemag will be removed. I'm also doing this so new players don't pay the prices you charge for the stuff that you sell which is just laughable. Sorry, but this is just getting boring.

  3. How can you be selling bb guns when you dont know the laws. There is no licence only a defence. The main one is UKARA which as a retailer you should be a member of. Obviously you know nothing about Airsoft or airsoft guns so please find out what your talking about before posting. By the way heres a saying for you; All airsoft guns are bb guns But Not all bb guns are airsoft guns. What your trying to sell are not suitable bb guns for airsoft.

  7. YouTube, Google, a toolbox and a lot of swearing If it's relatively simple stuff, don't be afraid to dove into it yourself. I cracked my first gearbox with just a YouTube guide and a 5 quid tool set. I made mistakes sure, but now I know enough about how they work to diagnose problems and maintain it well The only thing I'd consider paying someone else for us r-hopping, as I don't have a range handy to test it on to make tweaks. Still, I know people who don't ha e the time to do it, and others who are too scared of messing something up who pay people to upgrade and fettle, but I just don't know who they use

  8. I suppose it depends as well as who you get at security. An example was: I was recently sent to a call from neighbour of a young lad, the neighbour was panicking because the boy was shooting fully automatic pellet guns in his back garden, knowing that air guns in the UK are very rarely automatic I quickly summed up that it was an airsoft AEG or GBB. He was a nice enough lad when i met and spoke to him, his parents were home too and I didn't disclose immediately that i too was an Airsofter and was lucky that i responded to the call as had it been another officer not in the know of Airsoft the lad would have had the police helicopter, Firearms etc would have bared down on his home address before he knew what had happened. That said several of my team members also play airsoft regularly and our team knows this. Nonetheless he showed me what he had (all within limits) and showed me his setup for chronoing and testing. TBH he had a pretty safe set up to ensure no BBS left his back yard, heck he even showed me his Mancraft SVD Dragunov which got me thinking and i got the Mancraft parts for my TM VSR-10, lol. Spoke to his neighbour and gave him re-assurances and had a hard time trying to explain (might have been a bit patronising to him though) that Airsoft guns are legal even in full auto.

  10. Yeah at our sites on IoM DMRs are permitted if locked on semi auto and upto 450FPS I'm thinking an upgraded G&G SR 25 at this point
    1 point
  11. My mates got a G&G SR-25 and it's a really nice gun. His has been upgraded to shoot just under 450 FPS and the range is excellent. The biggest thing to consider when getting a DMR is what FPS to have it setup at as site limits for DMRs vary from none(i.e. 350 FPS standard AEG rules) through to 450 - 500 FPS with sniper rifle MED rules. If you are going to play a lot at sites with more restrictive rules then the less value you will see. For instance if you play at sites with a 400 FPS limit but still have the 30 metre medium engagement distance you may be better served getting a ~350 FPS AEG with a well setup hop up.

  12. Morning all! Brand new to airsoft having been enticed in by my twin sons who were begging me to take them. 2 sessions in and I'm hooked! Bought myself some decent boots and some MTP clothing to get started but just hiring guns for a while until I can find out what loadout I really want. I'm based in Tynemouth but have joined up at NTAC in Shildon as really like the site and the folks there seem a good bunch. Happy to hear from others in the region as I'll be asking a million questions about kit over the coming months. Definitely interested in having a tour around the Airsoft sites of the UK too once I'm kitted out. Next purchase is safety gear so interested to know peoples thoughts on mesh goggles vs full plastic goggles. Does the fogging issue out weigh the chances of bb's shattering on impact?

  13. My wife is supportive of my hobbies, even playing with toy guns, and quietly amused. She thinks it is a bunch of old soldiers reliving their youth or youngsters out playing fantasy games. She has noted my excitement, like a child on Christmas Eve, with different parcels arriving at the house and when I collected my RIF. However, she does not have any interest or appreciate the beauty of the HK416. Her only concern was after seeing some of my bb welts and thinking that she should have worried more when I was deployed away on operations because I take so many hits.

  15. your ukara entry is "tied in" or "linked" so to speak with one particular site (your regular site you might call it) that is why usually 3 visits to 1 site is the norm. it will be that 1 site that will back your ukara entry so to speak (your entry is connected with your usual or regular site) you will understand what I mean when you get ukara'd

  16. sr25 or m14 me thinks sr25 with longer v2 box sounds a good option all round most of bits be m4 easy to source/fit bits etc...... that is just my take on dmr route or leave m4 as std aeg, spend a bit on barrel/hop etc... improve range over stock - still normal so no semi only & no MED but better range

  18. I'm taking a look at my MAG one to see if I can find a way to mount an LED inside the part that attaches the mag to the magwell (rather than the box itself). I feel if I'm just shining light on the ones in the box then they're probably going to have a good amount of time to lose that extra florescence given to them before I manage to fire them. Also it means I won't have a string of glowing green beads hanging from the side of my gun during night games, but getting the battery in there may be a fair bit of work. Maybe a couple of AAAs.

  20. No limits is my local... It's awesome fun on a Sunday from 3 ish perfect for me as I tend to work Sunday's , relaxed attitude very fast paced cqb stuff so none is out for long and fantastically ran ! Theres NSC in boldon that's on an old ammo dump with bunkes, woodland one open buildings, again great, more involved and usually longer range contact.

  21. I play at Rifleworks, out near Consett as it's a reasonable sized woodland that tends to play longer, involved games which suits my preferences. Ntac is a mix between Cqb and a little bit of woodland playing short, faster paces games with a large number of players. Ntac I can't comment on, as I've not been in a couple years & they've changed sites since then. There's also no limits in Gateshead which is an indoor Cqb/kill house affair. Haven't been so can't comment. And lastly, Northern Alliance at Dishforth. A small collection of bunkers and paintball-like fields. Best is to get out to all of them & see which you like best.

  23. Ukara is a database of site memberships, so you'll need to be a member of one site, if that one site is happy to accept stamps from other sites then you're all good but I expect they won't. There's also a requirement that the games are done in not LESS than 2 months, so doing it in 3 weeks is not feasible.
    1 point
  24. Unfortunately the rules are you need to have a gap of more than 2 months between your first and last game. Generally it's going to be easier to get them done at the same site, but if you present a 'stamped' UKARA form to another site they should let you complete it there instead as there's nothing in the UKARA terms to suggest the same site must be used those 3 times - just that they all be registered.

  27. Correction its the Elite Force SL14. I recently got the Elite force SL14 speed loader, its the 1800 round pump action loader. You pour BBs into it and then shake it vertically up then down a few times then pump and its meant to put 40 rounds into a midcap magazine, so three pumps and you have a full magazine and then you take it off and connect another. In my experience over the weekend what actually happens is I get about 10-20 rounds. It takes a lot of shaking to get the rounds to go into the feeding tube and it takes longer to load than a normal pistol loader as its so unreliable about getting the rounds into the chamber. I can't stress enough how disappointing this product is. If you looked at the reviews on youtube and such you would have thought this thing was amazing and very quick to load magazines. But practically since it doesn't work as advertised it ends up being considering slower as you need more than 3 pumps and unfortunately it isn't consistent about what it feeds so you can't count the rounds in like you can with a speed loader leaving you prone to under/over load. I tested it using Nuprol 0.30g BBs and EPM magazines. It had no issues pushing rounds into the magazine but the BBs did not feed into the feeding tube. In addition they are super hard to get out. So if you want to change or use different ammo you'll need to pump it mostly out and then its hard to get it into a bottle afterwards due to the spring pushed door on the top. As the BBs run down the ability for the feed tube to fill diminishs as well so it becomes all but impossible to actually empty the loader, at 300 rounds in there or so it might only put 5 rounds in but it takes you longer to shake them there than it does to plung a basic speed loader. Utter waste of money do not buy it.

  29. Yep, like I said: They're getting most of the parts I need - some would be a special order and are being added to the subsequent order list, but that's numerous months away so I'm looking to WGC for the remainder of the stuff.

Plate carrier - multicam Boots - grade 1 surplus UBACs - MTP Another high cap mag 9k blasters Replica helmet - Multicam Belt Knife Mecanix gloves And a couple of patches and some decent socks. About £230ish, so not too bad really (he tells himself)

    Gun picture thread

My previous replica, heavily customised CyberGun m4 (full metal). Had a precision barrel, hi-torque motor, upgraded cylinder, bunch of other details. It was super precise, I loved this thing. The silencer was custom made to hide the long barrel of the gun: One day I'll build a replica close to this one again. For now I'm just gonna scrub, and see if I can actually have proper time to play some good games before getting a new replica.

Best gun bling is the xcortech x3300w. Theres lots of lasers and nice tactical torches but ammo counters are a rarity.

    Where to zero sights?

Do what I did. Spend all your money on ponies for the wife and kids. Now I have a large field to check the range on my rifs in.😁 Although this may not be the best idea as now I have no free cash for airsoft toys and seem to spend most Sundays running them around to do horsey stuff 😞 ...... ...... Yep defiantly don't do this!!

Eh, anyone that tries to tell you to do something 'tactical' that's obviously unnecessary then graciously ignore them, but afford them that same courtesy by not saying anything yourself (so that we all get along fine).

I am guessing zero one forums? Shooting someone in the face full auto at point blank is not only a dick move, it's dangerous. If the head is all you can hit then it's fair game, but if you are close and you have a choice, always aim lower. Emptying a mag full auto into someones arse is safer and way funnier

If you think you have hit someone but aren't 100% assume you haven't. I'm sure people thinking "well they aren't taking their hits so I won't take mine" is the main reason cheating escalates in a day, and in actual fact you never hit them. Don't fire in the safe zone, ever. A lot of sites cover this in the brief but either way it still happens so much it isn't funny. Sometimes I wish I could hold my gun up to someone who is doing its face and say "this gun has no magazine in it, are you happy for me to pull the trigger to confirm there's not a BB loaded?" - I would never do this but I am illustrating a point in case anyone isn't sure When crossing in front of another player shout something like "crossing" let's them know what you are doing and avoids some point blank friendly fire incidents. Fortunately a lot of sites mention this, but if you aren't sure if you are hit just take it. I've been walking back to the safe zone and realised that what hit me was a rain drop.. It's better safe than sorry. Edit: Most of what I am saying tends be covered in safety briefs, but anyone that plays at a site regularly will notice that occasionally the person doing the briefing is essentially relying on regulars to highlight anything they missed. This is something I have seen happen at multiple sites.

  41. Good review, I have the same shirt and trousers but in Multicam Tropic and they are great bits of kit. If anyone is interested as a point of reference I have one of the multicam tropic shirts made by Tru Spec and whilst the material on that is sturdy(and by no means a bad shirt) it feels very cheap and coarse compared to the Ops one. However you can roll the Tru Spec sleeves up, whilst I barely can on the Ops one with the elbow pads removed and I by no means have chunky forearms Found out the other day that the standard side pockets you get on almost all trousers and the openings just in front of them for the knee pad draw strings hold PMAGs perfectly. Makes for an insanely lightweight setup for CQB, although I don't know if I would risk it crawling about in woodland - Although they do sit quite snugly and the pockets go deeper than a mag pouch does.

  42. Yeah get some 7.4V LiPos that are the biggest mAh rating that will physically fit your gun. It really does depend also on how many BBs you get through on a day, a rough guide is 2 BBs fired per 1 mAh rating and you always want to be swapping out LiPos before you run them flat. Really the key rule of LiPos is don't run them flat and preferably don't use a crap charger and you will be fine. Whilst it's probably not something you want to hear that charger is horrible for the money. Get something like this: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__5548__IMAX_B6_50W_5A_Charger_Discharger_1_6_Cells_GENUINE_.html You can get a cheap little brick charger but i'd pay 10 quid more and get one that will charge anything you throw at it properly. Only daunting thing is setting it up for your batteries but i'd be happy to explain this as mine is a clone of that one(Turnigy Accucel 6) I'd definitely get spare batteries though as SD says. I run 3 on my rifle and 3 on my LMG, the rifle I switch out at lunch normally to be on the safe side(plus a spare in case one plays siller buggers) and the LMG I switch because I'd almost certainly nuke the cells in a LiPo getting through 3000-6000 or so BBs in a morning
    1 point
  43. Folks ordering VHS tapes along with these NiMh batteries? Get on here http://www.componentshop.co.uk/ Get 7.4v LiPo or 9.9 LiFe (similar results generally), better in every way. Do not waste your money on heavy, bulky, over-priced obsolete batteries, totally pointless.
