This'll be getting some paint at the weekend (assuming it's not pissing down).

  3. the newer ones all factory mold. I do check each before sending out but worth double-checking. trimming the edges might help with you since it will reduce the height a tad, it's such a tiny amount though. try a maple leaf one though and let us know if that makes any difference

  4. With that combination, you will not need much hop applied; the adjuster bar should be a lot further forward than your middle position on 0.25g BBs. The gap at the front of the numbers should be very small.

  5. Rubbers will break-in over time, you generally end up applying a little more hop to compensate. Not every hop chamber is the same so it takes a little playing around with. It sounds to me like the nub is perhaps a little too large (tall) for your hop chamber, although impossible for me to tell without it in front of me. You might try trimming a little of material off the top of the nub to reduce some of it's height. Also as a test try a standard nub if you have one there.

  6. Bought a few things the past couple of weeks... Firstly, a new gun.... TTI TP22 pistol.. Also bought a maple leaf hop unit and modify inner barrel to give my EMG John Wick hicapa a well deserved overhaul and upgrade after several years of quite heavy use Next, I bought a double ammo pouch and "field pack" from my local army surplus shop. The double pouch just holds the cassette mags for my VFC M249, and the field pack will be used to replace the ammo grab bag I currently use to take gas and bb bottles to a respawn point, as the grab bag is a little too small for my needs Finally, i jave some bits on order from WGC shop, so no pics yet.... bought a para stock, pack of mags and a CO2 power source box mag for my VFC M249... pics will follow when the parcel arrives (assuming the customs monkeys don't fuck things up again)

  8. Another excellent game at South Herts Airsoft today. For a while now once a month SHA have been running a full game day midweek. Numbers were low (12 total) which allowed for some sneaky shenanigans, but with the site being quite small you're not at any risk of wandering around not seeing a soul. Great games and sportsmanship all round, this place is definitely turning into my preferred site and I highly recommend anyone to pay them a visit. At £20 green fees they're a good deal too. I'd recently put a Maple Leaf hop rubber in my specna arms M4 so wanted to test it out and I'm more than happy with the results. The stock rubber was barely able to lift .28g bbs, but now it's sending them much further and I think it'll easily lift heavier ammo. In the end I ended up using it all day with the MP5K staying in the gun bag. The only downside to the day was the fuck up fairy playing havoc with the trains

  13. I trimmed one of the lower edges to even it up a bit, but that was on a couple of the old style dark red ones. I have not had any issues with the newer, lighter coloured ones.

  14. I have never had a problem with the feed lip length in any of the 14 AK type weapons of various makes that the lad and I own between us; M4s and a few others have been a different story. I also found a couple of the earlier AK2M4 nubs to be a little off; a bit of trimming did the trick.

  19. ... which is a very good thing for them holding their shape / strength, but makes it impossible (at least for me) to cut off a coil. I bent the blades on a pair of snips and took all the teeth off a Dremel cutting wheel trying to do it 🤣 Unless @ak2m4 has a magic trick to doing it I'm stumped (looks like heat won't help as the cutting wheel got the spring lava hot).
    1 point
  20. I'm off work for a few days so the cutting wheel turned up today, and I shat my pants when the sparks started to fly from it cutting the spring 💩 🤣 (put on some gloves and safety glasses after that). @ak2m4 I cut just over a coil of an M130 to get my DMR to spot on 1.6J on 0.40g BB's.

  21. Having taken the time to read the Labour Manifesto, their specific focus is on reducing Knife Crime. No mention of Gun Crime or Replicas. Unlike 2005 when they specificaly mentioned Replicas, though only in regards to raising the purchase age. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4335097.stm

  23. ML rubbers with the ML nub tend to overhop and jam if the hop is turned up too much as there is much more "Mound" than on standard hop setups. The fix is just to only adjust it up to the point it doesn't jam or below. It will probably be massively overhopping at that point anyway.

Mines stock. Cassette mags in top cover and running the green gas box mag.... That said though... I saw last night on WGC shop that they have the CO2 box mag in stock now, so I have ordered one along with the para stock... now I just need to bulk buy 88g CO2 capsules... Oh, and I still haven't got round to fitting the DnA catch yet.... so I know what I will be doing this weekend

  28. Very cool, working towards the same goal with my daughter. She's keen but anxious so have offered her a day where I chaperone her and act as a meat-shield. Meanwhile the boy and I had our first game after a hiatus due to other weekend commitments. Good to be back out in the woods at Spec Ops MK again, I'd forgotten how much fun airsoft is having been distracted by motorbikes and other hobbies this year.

  31. Heads up to any fellow glasses wearers, but I recently tried ReglazeMySpecs for the first time, after finding an old thread about them on here. I ordered on the Sunday, sent off my old inserts on the Monday, and received them back and finished on the Friday, all for under £17! Can't recommend them enough, and a much cheaper alternative to Specsavers. 😃 https://www.reglazemyspex.com/

  32. Went to the farm in Lincoln yesterday for the first time yesterday and apart from some really inconsistent performance from my ICS APE had a great morning, I say morning because into the second game after lunch my son got a call to say his son was being rushed to hospital with a suspected broken leg. We rushed off to pack up and leave, and while doing so were asked why we were leaving and then instantly offered a refund for half the day that we would miss. We declined and we told that if we came back to mention it on booking and they would only charge us half a day. Just to add a cherry on the top my son posted on the Lincolnshire airsoft page to say how appreciative he was of the gesture and the first response was from the farm team to ask how his son was doing (fine btw thankfully not a serious break). So not only is it a really interesting site to play, it is well run, good game play and pretty decent people running it to, and a second cherry is that it is really reasonably priced for a full game day!

  33. Superb morning at Driver Wood on Sunday - a 2.5 hour game, starting just before half nine, and running all the way through to lunch. Its the first time I've been there when they have run that, instead of two nominally one hour games (but which can get eroded through general faffage). As I only ever go for a half day/morning, packing as much play into that time gets my vote. Quite a fun game concept too - with lots of balloons located all around the playing area at different objectives in the team colours - idea being that you shoot out the enemy team colour balloons, and defend yours. Also I took along my 12 year old daughter for her first taste of airsoft - which she absolutely loved! I managed to give her a heavily curated experience - generally with us sticking as a pair, and me playing a lot less 'aggressively' than normal (and taking a lot more hits in the process!). She got a few hits herself, including her highlight of taking out a group of five enemy players ten minutes before the end - leaving her absolutely buzzing. I managed to arm her with a fully polymer Specna (even a polymer buffer tube) that I built up from a few parts - super light and the stock can be adjusted pretty short. Shout out to the site shop as well -coming to the rescue and selling her a multicam hoody for just £5 as she didn't have anything suitable in her own wardrobe.

  36. Seeing my boys playing football, the height variations in the 10-14 age range is huge! I even thought an U13 player was the coach - reckon he'd have got served in a pub 😂 Normally 12 is the lowest age for insurance, might have seen one at 11 but couldn't tell you which site that was. Personally I'm waiting for mine to be sensible enough to be let loose with a pew.

  37. Had a couple of deliveries today, type89 aeg from lymorejosh & a G36K from Daro198 , Royal Mail knocked it out the park as the type89 was only posted yesterday. The UGL I bought last month from JinxDuh but it bothered me that I only had a G36C to put it on so a G36K has been on the cards since the UGL arrived.

  38. It was entertainment night at the Senior Center. Claude the hypnotist exclaimed: "I'm here to put you into a trance; I intend to hypnotize each and every member of the audience." The excitement was almost electric as Claude withdrew a beautiful antique pocket watch from his coat. "I want you each to keep your eye on this antique watch. It's an extraordinary watch. It's been in my family for six generations" He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting, "Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch..." The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light gleaming off its polished surface. Hundreds of pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch, until, suddenly, it slipped from the hypnotist's fingers and fell to the floor, breaking into a hundred pieces. "SHIT!" said the Hypnotist. It took three days to clean up the Senior Center.

  46. Disappointed with my game today - headed to imperium in Kent. I'm used to games started at 9 so a 10am start had me anxious to get going but by the time they got players to the spawn and the objectives set up it was almost 11. Unfortunately I had to end my day at lunch as didn't feel too well but will have to go back again and see if I get a better experience.
