  3. Different sites and events will have different criteria and rules. Some make it calibre based such as only 7.62/.308 replicas. Others have minimum engagement distances with power levels. Bolting a scope on a M4 and using it to spam semi at a higher power, is looked down on by many.

  4. Ok, final update then I'll stop. For now! I set the pre-cock, on the Perun ETU++, to level 4 and left it for about 24 hours. Just checked it and it's shooting .28s at a very respectable 284fps/1.09j

Surely in order to dispute the payment with the seller, the option for him to refund is reliant on you being able to return the faulty goods, something you cannot now do. You may have shot yourself in the foot ?

Got to go with tackle on this one. You have no way to even prove it's faulty now and if you can't return the item I can't see how they have an obligation to refund you.

Most programmable MOSFETs do to be fair. Equally, if you're the kind of person that's going to spam semi with a 1.8J DMR, then that isn't going to stop you being a dick.

  12. A lady walks into a fancy jewellery shop. She browses around, spots a beautiful diamond bracelet, and walks over to inspect it. As she bends over to look more closely she inadvertently breaks wind. Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little accident and prays that a salesperson doesn't pop up right now. As she turns around, her worst nightmare materializes in the form of a salesman standing right behind her. Cool as a cucumber and displaying complete professionalism, the salesman greets the lady with, "Good day, Madam How may we help you today?" Very uncomfortably, but hoping that the salesman may not have been there at the time of her little "accident!" she asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely bracelet?" He answers, "Madam if you farted just looking at it, you're going to shit yourself when I tell you the price.

    Gbb / hpa lmg

So im working on a hk21 machinegun project. The base gun is a we g3 and i plan to hpa tap the original mag and hide it and the fitting inside the box mag. Anyone run a lot of gas blowback full auto around? Any advice would be appreciated as apart from testing guns I got to re sell this is my first experience with hpa.

  14. Airsoft industry is like competing consumers' budget and time against the other entertainment industries, one of them is gaming. Gamers fond of shooting games incline to get a high reflash rate display to gain high frames per second, FPS, advantage. Now, same thing applies to modern AEGs equipped with electronic trigger, ETU, and MOSFET, which exploit pre-cocking technology and switch gate protection from excessive current, enhancing trigger responsiveness and overall durability. Please click the above 60 sec reel to see the story of QQ and TT. Happy weekend

    Gbb / hpa lmg

Well the reason im hpaing it is because the base gun I have is a we g3 gas blowback rifle XD. Its literally just a matter of putting a hpa adapter in the mag. I mean once all the parts are made I might start selling kits. We will see how it comes out. Im just working on making the handguard at the mo and have done a few test bits for the belt feed mech. I mean ideally it would be great to have an onboard gas supply but I dont really se a good way to do that

And site's always ask at chrono for confirmation of how your controller is configured, hooking up GATE GCS or looking for the right blinking Perun LED's Personally I've zero interest in Milsim and the four places I semi-regularly play at have no "real steel" rules for DMR's, so I'm fine as well. However, under all the camo I have now on my DMR they'd only be able to identify the base gun if I removed it all.

    DMR rules in airsoft

DMR rules are the rules that vary the most across different sites. The basic premise is that they have higher power, but must be locked to semi-auto, have an MED and you will not be allowed to spam the trigger; usually the rule is "one in the air", so you have to watch your shot to completion before pulling the trigger again. However, there are things that can vary: Power - I've seen lots of different power limits. 1.48J, 1.64J, 1.88J, 2.32J are all powers that I have seen for DMRs at different sites RIF type - Some events and sites require the RIF to be a DMR in the real world. This usually means it has to be some sort of .308 calibre replica like an m14 or SR-25, or something like a mk12, VSS or SVD if it's not a .308 replica Stock - Some sites mandate that a DMR must have a stock. Some don't. I don't mean like a fixed stock vs retractable stock, I mean in terms of not allowing something like a revolver or mk23 without a carbine kit to be used as a DMR And yes, as has been said, people tend to look down on it when people put a scope on something like an m4 or arp-9 or something like that, up the power to DMR limits and then spam the trigger. It's mostly spamming the trigger though, that's the big no-no when it comes to DMRs. Cue the "that's not full auto, this is" video clip.

Sorry to hear that. Exceptions exist, but as a general rule of thumb, anyone wanting to be paid other than by PayPal Goods and Services is planning to screw you. All airsoft MP5K guns that I'm aware of use a V3 gearbox, with that looooong trigger pull. Easy enough to check, using the pictures on the page above, or a guide like this one. With the caveat that nothing in airsoft is standard, a G&G or Guarder shell might suit. The other alternative is to look for a boneyard MP5K, AK or G36 that's cosmetically wrecked, but it's always tricky to find a real bargain, honestly described.

    THE TM MWS thread

So, finally got to test my mk12 MWS with the sixG nub and stock TM hop rubber. Initially I was a little disappointed as while it hopped .4s, it required me to put the hop all the way on and I want to be running .43s through it once I get through these .4s. However, as the hop rubber started bedding in it started hopping way better and when I tested it with some of my friend's .43s it fired like a dream; it's set up at 1.8J (ish) and locked to semi as a DMR. Hard to get a gauge on what the effective range will be because it was stupidly windy on Sunday, so will have to see on a less breezy day to properly zero the scope and see where I can reliably put rounds.

  36. So, as kind of a 6 month update on a three year update, i thought i'd chime in... Martin has left now completely. He suffered some serious bereavement over xmas, losing his mum and his son. Which is s shit sandwich in anyones books. Jon has full control now and Dimitri (the mad russian) have been busy beavers. The village has been extended with extra structures and cover, the trenches have been redug, the safe are has lighting and the marshalls are on point. Which is all good. The toilet block is STILL coming but alas has not made an appearance yet. The hill is still a killer (and i'm not getting younger!!). The shop is getting bigger and the food is getting better each time i go, although the lunchtime queue can be a bit painful. They've been trying to put on night games and Milsim type stuff, but i believe Jon has been uber busy sorting out the shops at several other sites. I still go on saturdays when i can as i usually have the boy and his "hangers on". Havent been on a sunday for a while.

  39. It's a number of variables, length yes but most important being number of coils and thickness of wire. And as @Sewdhull says it's the N force in the 60mm or so in the cylinder. Every gearbox is slightly different so you'll get some variation. 1.3mm vs 1.4mm thickness makes quite a difference. Also quality of wire. I went through 5 Chinese companies before realising they their grade of steel wasn't good enough and in the end switched to Japanese steel. Quite a long, painful and expensive process! I've had my tester M110 spring now for 4 years, must be 500,000 through it so maybe I'll do a video on it soon and compare it to the new ones. For some customers who are unsure what spring to buy I've been sending out my tester M100 spring, along with their order. That way they can benchmark with the M100 and then either keep or return. Just saves a few pennies for anyone strapped at the moment.

  40. You need 800+Celcius to anneal springs, stainless is higher. The 20FPS loss is because the spring is less pre compressed, there's no extra friction in having 1 bearing instead of 2. I'm going to explain why because it's come up before. If you compress a spring one end will rotate with respect to the other and if you have a bearing at one end, that end will rotate freely because bearings have less friction than the spring rubbing against another flat surface and once the bearing is rotating there is not enough force to rotate at the other end. The whole spring is not rotating, the wire is repositioning itself as it is put in torsion, so if it is fixed at one end the other rotates. In Airsoft we have bearings not for friction issues, but so that the spring maintains its shape and does not bend to one side or the other when it gets compressed. You could fix the spring at both ends and have no frictional losses but you would still have the spring deforming as it compresses. If you put a bearing at both ends and lets say, one bearing is a bit stiffer than the other, then the bearing with the least friction will rotate first, but the other bearing will not rotate because the force to rotate it never gets high enough since it is relieved by the first bearing to rotate. This is essentially what happens if you have just one bearing. Remember that if the spring is fixed at one end there are no frictional losses, as it doesn't move. Friction also doesn't care about area, only the force and coefficient of friction. So if you have a bearing at both ends the friction is double that of one bearing, since the force at both ends of the spring is the same. If only one bearing rotates, the friction is halved. Because the angle the spring rotates is double with 1 bearing the same amount of losses occur. Both bearings need to rotate of course for this to be true.

  41. Whether it's a joke or not, the comparison to Nazi Germany is insulting to those persecuted there for simply existing. As already said, halls of residence inspections and monitoring internet usage aren't exactly a novelty. Universities have reputations to uphold and especially in this age where Britain is becoming more like its ally from across the Atlantic with its litigous tendencies, they have to be vigilant to avoid being held liable and thus give grounds to be sued. To that point about being sued, universities have something called public liabilty insurance to protect or mitigate themselves from injury to people or damage to property within the confines of the university. As the halls of residence are the responsibility of the university and that it has a duty of care with internet usage, it doesn't take an overactive imagination to guess that many public liability insurance policies for a university are contingent on them not allowing weapons or replicas in the halls of residence and that they have safeguards and "counselling" policies in place over web usage. University culture isn't "absolutely mad" in that respect. It reflects the society we live in today where you have to be especially careful to keep your arse covered.

    WE Open Bolt SCAR H

On the RAtech front, I've got an RA tech trigger box in one of my L119's , only fitted it because I had it handy and wanted to try it. The original was still going strong and is now in my spares draw. However one that i fitted to a mate's was bloody awefull. I ended up using the RA tech trigger parts in the stock WE trigger box Interestingly I've not had a single part failure across any of my WE GBBRs and the L119's in particular get alot of use. They are my usual guns at a game day, i rarely run aeg's now, even in winter I still usually run GBBR's . Mate's L119 needed part of the trigger mech replacing due to someone trying to force it safe while not cocked, so user error rather than failure in normal use. If something does break, I'll replace with another stock part The same same mate has the Scar H, it's been very reliable, but we did swap out the hop unit for an aftermarket one to improve accuracy,
