DMR rules in airsoft
Cannonfodder and 3 others reacted to DerDer for a topic
Different sites and events will have different criteria and rules. Some make it calibre based such as only 7.62/.308 replicas. Others have minimum engagement distances with power levels. Bolting a scope on a M4 and using it to spam semi at a higher power, is looked down on by many.4 points -

Ok, final update then I'll stop. For now! I set the pre-cock, on the Perun ETU++, to level 4 and left it for about 24 hours. Just checked it and it's shooting .28s at a very respectable 284fps/1.09j3 points -
Surely in order to dispute the payment with the seller, the option for him to refund is reliant on you being able to return the faulty goods, something you cannot now do. You may have shot yourself in the foot ?3 points

Got to go with tackle on this one. You have no way to even prove it's faulty now and if you can't return the item I can't see how they have an obligation to refund you.2 points

Most programmable MOSFETs do to be fair. Equally, if you're the kind of person that's going to spam semi with a 1.8J DMR, then that isn't going to stop you being a dick.2 points

A lady walks into a fancy jewellery shop. She browses around, spots a beautiful diamond bracelet, and walks over to inspect it. As she bends over to look more closely she inadvertently breaks wind. Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little accident and prays that a salesperson doesn't pop up right now. As she turns around, her worst nightmare materializes in the form of a salesman standing right behind her. Cool as a cucumber and displaying complete professionalism, the salesman greets the lady with, "Good day, Madam How may we help you today?" Very uncomfortably, but hoping that the salesman may not have been there at the time of her little "accident!" she asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely bracelet?" He answers, "Madam if you farted just looking at it, you're going to shit yourself when I tell you the price.2 points -

Game Changer- Every second counts
Skullchewer reacted to jiadyi.airsoft for a topic
Airsoft industry is like competing consumers' budget and time against the other entertainment industries, one of them is gaming. Gamers fond of shooting games incline to get a high reflash rate display to gain high frames per second, FPS, advantage. Now, same thing applies to modern AEGs equipped with electronic trigger, ETU, and MOSFET, which exploit pre-cocking technology and switch gate protection from excessive current, enhancing trigger responsiveness and overall durability. Please click the above 60 sec reel to see the story of QQ and TT. Happy weekend1 point -
Gbb / hpa lmg
MirrorMan reacted to HuttArmouries for a topic
Well the reason im hpaing it is because the base gun I have is a we g3 gas blowback rifle XD. Its literally just a matter of putting a hpa adapter in the mag. I mean once all the parts are made I might start selling kits. We will see how it comes out. Im just working on making the handguard at the mo and have done a few test bits for the belt feed mech. I mean ideally it would be great to have an onboard gas supply but I dont really se a good way to do that1 point -

Guys, check out their YouTube channel, I personally recommend the masterpiece about gun flu. @jiadyi.airsoft your HORRENDOUS marketing seems to be targeted at very impressionable children and/or morons. There's very few children on this forum. As for morons, well, you've got us there. Your marketing videos, combined with your extremely evasive answers, make you seem questionable, at best.1 point -
My AB++ has it as well, and I should really turn it on. Sadly, my local doesn't require it, and you're lucky if you even get checked for semi-lock at chrono. But that's a different, and more general, rant about the uselessness of pre-game chronoing for catching chancers.1 point

And site's always ask at chrono for confirmation of how your controller is configured, hooking up GATE GCS or looking for the right blinking Perun LED's Personally I've zero interest in Milsim and the four places I semi-regularly play at have no "real steel" rules for DMR's, so I'm fine as well. However, under all the camo I have now on my DMR they'd only be able to identify the base gun if I removed it all.1 point

DMR rules are the rules that vary the most across different sites. The basic premise is that they have higher power, but must be locked to semi-auto, have an MED and you will not be allowed to spam the trigger; usually the rule is "one in the air", so you have to watch your shot to completion before pulling the trigger again. However, there are things that can vary: Power - I've seen lots of different power limits. 1.48J, 1.64J, 1.88J, 2.32J are all powers that I have seen for DMRs at different sites RIF type - Some events and sites require the RIF to be a DMR in the real world. This usually means it has to be some sort of .308 calibre replica like an m14 or SR-25, or something like a mk12, VSS or SVD if it's not a .308 replica Stock - Some sites mandate that a DMR must have a stock. Some don't. I don't mean like a fixed stock vs retractable stock, I mean in terms of not allowing something like a revolver or mk23 without a carbine kit to be used as a DMR And yes, as has been said, people tend to look down on it when people put a scope on something like an m4 or arp-9 or something like that, up the power to DMR limits and then spam the trigger. It's mostly spamming the trigger though, that's the big no-no when it comes to DMRs. Cue the "that's not full auto, this is" video clip.1 point

I'm quite partial to the Hi-Capa, coming in several different barrel lengths (from 3.8" to 7") TM's versions are expectedly great out of the box though you may not like plastic slides in which case WE's haven't let me down. Especially with TM, there's a big aftermarket for performance upgrades and cosmetic customisations.1 point -

I wouldn't even buy a mystery box from a recognised retailer.1 point -
Sorry to hear that. Exceptions exist, but as a general rule of thumb, anyone wanting to be paid other than by PayPal Goods and Services is planning to screw you. All airsoft MP5K guns that I'm aware of use a V3 gearbox, with that looooong trigger pull. Easy enough to check, using the pictures on the page above, or a guide like this one. With the caveat that nothing in airsoft is standard, a G&G or Guarder shell might suit. The other alternative is to look for a boneyard MP5K, AK or G36 that's cosmetically wrecked, but it's always tricky to find a real bargain, honestly described.1 point

Apocalypse Airsoft review
Jacob Wright reacted to Egon_247 for a topic
So, as kind of a 6 month update on a three year update, i thought i'd chime in... Martin has left now completely. He suffered some serious bereavement over xmas, losing his mum and his son. Which is s shit sandwich in anyones books. Jon has full control now and Dimitri (the mad russian) have been busy beavers. The village has been extended with extra structures and cover, the trenches have been redug, the safe are has lighting and the marshalls are on point. Which is all good. The toilet block is STILL coming but alas has not made an appearance yet. The hill is still a killer (and i'm not getting younger!!). The shop is getting bigger and the food is getting better each time i go, although the lunchtime queue can be a bit painful. They've been trying to put on night games and Milsim type stuff, but i believe Jon has been uber busy sorting out the shops at several other sites. I still go on saturdays when i can as i usually have the boy and his "hangers on". Havent been on a sunday for a while.1 point -

That is an entirely different question.1 point -
It's a number of variables, length yes but most important being number of coils and thickness of wire. And as @Sewdhull says it's the N force in the 60mm or so in the cylinder. Every gearbox is slightly different so you'll get some variation. 1.3mm vs 1.4mm thickness makes quite a difference. Also quality of wire. I went through 5 Chinese companies before realising they their grade of steel wasn't good enough and in the end switched to Japanese steel. Quite a long, painful and expensive process! I've had my tester M110 spring now for 4 years, must be 500,000 through it so maybe I'll do a video on it soon and compare it to the new ones. For some customers who are unsure what spring to buy I've been sending out my tester M100 spring, along with their order. That way they can benchmark with the M100 and then either keep or return. Just saves a few pennies for anyone strapped at the moment.1 point

Hawkeye450 reacted to Nick G for a topic
On the RAtech front, I've got an RA tech trigger box in one of my L119's , only fitted it because I had it handy and wanted to try it. The original was still going strong and is now in my spares draw. However one that i fitted to a mate's was bloody awefull. I ended up using the RA tech trigger parts in the stock WE trigger box Interestingly I've not had a single part failure across any of my WE GBBRs and the L119's in particular get alot of use. They are my usual guns at a game day, i rarely run aeg's now, even in winter I still usually run GBBR's . Mate's L119 needed part of the trigger mech replacing due to someone trying to force it safe while not cocked, so user error rather than failure in normal use. If something does break, I'll replace with another stock part The same same mate has the Scar H, it's been very reliable, but we did swap out the hop unit for an aftermarket one to improve accuracy,1 point -

It really isn't, in our application especially. Good bushings are always going to be better than cheap bearings anyway. What he said. Take it apart and check to see if all the bearings you have are actually the same thickness.1 point
