  1. So for those of us that list “Airsoft” items on eBay regularly you may be confused why some listings are removed yet other listings for identical or similar items are allowed to remain. tonight I finally managed to speak with one of their policy team managers, who gave me 40 minutes of his time and actually answered every question asked, without evasion (my previous experience of appealing a removed item, has just been met with evasive answers, and I promise someone from the policy or escalations team will call you back to explain- never happens! ) Some of the answers made a lot of sense , and I thought I’d share the information given. so here goes, and happy to answer any questions or clarify anything I’ve not explained well. Firstly Ebay worldwide are bound by California law, and are only licensed to sell certain items on their platform - it seems odd, but that licence affects their platform worldwide. California law prevents the sale by e-commerce of any articles that can be attached to automatic rifles, or that replicate attachments for automatic rifles (where they chance or enhance their operation). So things like, Stocks, vertical foregrips, hand stops, suppressors. Etc are all regulated. They have an Airsoft policy preventing the sale of Airsoft guns, receivers, and this includes BB guns and pellets guns. The6 do allow ammunition but interestingly only up to 0.25 calibre is the term they used. The adviser was unsure what that meant but he assumed it was BB WEIGHT., it’s more likely to be air-pellet calibre (I would guess) The next thing of interest is how they deal with an unauthorised item. They often flag breaches of the firearms policy as breaches of the airsoft policy if Airsoft is specifically mentioned in the advert. They do that actually to help us UK (specifically UK) airsofters out. Because….3 firearms policy strikes and your account is suspended/removed from the platform if you’re in the US. So the penalties for breaching Airsoft policy are much less serious - they amount to a “education warning” Your account is then flagged and monitored for attempts to relist the item. They removed over 1750 Airsoft suppressor listings (as an example, that’s what I had removed) in the last 28 days. They had no reason to believe any of them were real, they simply are just not allowed by California E commerce laws. Which they claim they are working to change with a category amendment to the trading licence through the courts - however Airsoft is flagged as a tiny niche market for them and it’s not a priority. Finally how are your dodgy items detected, - some but actually very few are by keyword, and image algorithms that have them flagged and checked manually. mostly they are checked by batch sampling on item numbers (an invigilator or verifier will be sent 500 items to check every few days) and they are flagged if it’s not right, then removed. He provided a lot more information about the processes and the legal reasons behind the issue, and why they can’t easily change rules from country to country - but the post is already to long and quite boring for most. this will be useful to ebayers who don’t understand why their items are removed when they don’t appear to breach the stated policy.

  3. @AlphaBear bro, think you got that completely round the wrong way. Mosfet gives you the trigger response and protection on semi, you don’t really notice on auto unless you play with settings. Ngrs mags obviously have a low cap switch too, or you can just pump that speed loader 7 or 8 to put 30 or so rounds in those bad boy.

  4. here's the stl file. it's been repaired in 3D builder so should be good to go straight into your slicer. it's a snug fit but for extra security there's a hole in the bottom for a 3mm grub screw. vz61 rail v3 repaired.stl

  5. bugger ! this was way quicker than I expected , ordered on 26th and here we are . im hearing that most U.K. retailers should start seeing the rifles landing by the end of this week so fingers crossed yours will land too . I was set to buy another complete rifle myself but seeing this made much more sense**** for me as a just a tinkerer & plinker . as you’d expect , it fits together perfectly *** although the money saved has me looking at a WE Apache SD6 for the warmer weather 🤦🏼‍♂️

    Marui mp7 worth it?

I've got the Umarex MP7, used it extensivly even in woodland games and can't fault it tbh. Shoots well on .30's has great range and acuracy and has never missed a beat. The only issue I'm aware of relates to the mag catch, a mate got one the same time as me and it would drop a mag randomly. We put a new catch in it and it's been spot on ever since. TBF patrolbase offered to replace it but was an easy job so not worth returning it.

  7. Found a young YouTuber called trung the builder and he had a mk23 that he cut down to make it (almost) a USP... So I thought I'd have a go at it ...it's still a prototype at the mo...but you can see how short it is from the shadow board behind it....😁👍

Reluctantly selling this GHK105. The RIF itself is in great condition with normal wear, it has had one previous owner who bought it from new; I bought it from someone on this forum in October 2021. They had bought it from new and had owned it for roughly 4-5 years dating it around the 2016/2017 mark. I have used it at 5 skirmishes since 2021 as I also use an MWS and aeg, it is completely skirmishable and has no issues with the trunion or barrel alignment. It has been well maintained and had parts replaced: - New stock GHK Nozzle - New TNT hop unit and stainless steel barrel which is fitted correctly so the hop wheel is not stiff or awkward to use - New firing pin - New trigger All internals (apart from the hop unit and inner barrel) are stock. I also have a fresh tnt hop bucking I’ll give as a spare. The grip is a GBB PTS US palm grip but I still have the original. I would prefer collection (I am in Warwick - Midlands) but I will post at an additional cost of £30 p&p (parcel force 48) as this will be a weighty parcel. UK Only. I do not wish to split anything or trade. Not open to offers, set price. Feel free to email me [email protected] with any questions as I do not get notified when messages are sent on this site. Cash or PayPal - if you choose to use goods and services buyer pays 2.9% fee.

  10. I can kinda vouch for the KWA recoil guns? I owned a PTS Centurion arms CM4 a few years ago that was OEM'd by KWA that felt absolutely amazing to use, in fact I got a chance to use a friend of a friend's KWA Ronin T10 on Sunday there at a skirmish and was impressed by how well it felt and performed that I went and bought one from BZPaintball yesterday afternoon which just arrived a few hours ago. Gotta say I vastly prefer the KWA over the few TM NGRS gun's I've had the opportunity to shoot over the past few years, definitely a noticeable difference between the two. Biggest downside really is the lack of a stop fire on empty function which I remember being a great feature on my Centurion arms, though I can avoid having to buy £20 proprietary mid caps because of this.

  11. . If you want more immersion then only use 30 round mid caps. Change out the recoil weight for a heavier one to give you more of a kick. And best of all you don’t need a MOSFET if you’re sticking to semi.
    1 point
  12. As I'm sure you don't need telling, for immersion a GBBR is probably the best option. Although I don't use my MWS as often as an AEG, it's definitely more fun to use. For an AEG with recoil, my experience is limited to my NGRS 416, but I do love it. I have the DEVGRU model and it's been phenomenal in the three years I've had it, and suspect the 416 Deltauld be no different. Like you, I predominately shoot on semi, but have experienced lock-up a few times. A quick flick to auto and it's unfucked itself, but the mosfet option, while I'd argue isn't strictly necessary, is something I'll probably do, so may be one to bear in mind.

  14. At the risk of presenting an answer you don't particularly want, if lack of 'soul' has been an issue with previous NGRS offerings then I strong suspect that unless you can 'cope' your way out of it then whatever you pick will wind up for sale not long after you purchase it. In terms of choosing from whats out there, your criteria only real leaves an FDE TM 416... which leads me to land on you know what you want, you're just not convinced you actually want it.

Hi bud. I think it would help your sale if you posted actual pics of gun and maybe your forum name and date included in pics. Just a thought 👍

  16. Please note, there is a difference between semi-spam and picking your shots on semi. A titan isnt necessary on a NGRS, but an upgrade. A good one, but an upgrade nonetheless.
    1 point
  17. Ah, I must admit that I do prefer to pick my shots and use predominately Semi Auto
    1 point
  18. looks good. I think the only difference between the new and old MP5 is an upgraded chip on the ECU.
    1 point
  19. Ngrs are great but if you use a lot of semi, they suffer from lock up. So you simply have to install a decent and expensive mosfet eg Gate Titan. You really have to take this added expense into account ie £200 if you aren’t going to install it yourself, before committing. Sad but true.

  20. bought a KWA GBB Scorpion VZ61 for shits and giggles at UCAP vendetta on Sunday and after waving it about in the dark like a moron I decided it needed a torch and tracer adding. I found a file on thingiverse and modified it so that the folding stock could still fold and here it is.

  21. Went to The Gaol, Oakham for a private game at the weekend, the ARABS FB crew. I understand why it was on my "must visit" list. If you get the opportunity, go, do a game day. The admin block makes a fine safezone didn't hear a single dry fire (again didn't expect to-private day). Safety brief was to the point, expansive and humourous, Justin's "my playground, my rules" were always safety and play based. Crono: in jules....my BB slinger apparently shit itself at some point and wouldn't work. Thankfully my brother brought his spare- other wise I would have been on pistol all day (more on that later) Games, were "fun" let me expand - the long game they play is very much you get better the more you play, but I guess that's the same everywhere. I did really like the maps with objectives and timings for everyone, that makes a new to site player feel real welcomed. Back to long game - the stretcher they use is bloody heavy! Like, let's not bother with this for the whole morning heavy. We did move it to a kill zone just in case the blues did think about it. Inside, well, it was my first real cqb site and I have maybe played too many horror games 😂 all good fun, except g block, fuck that. But seriously amazing site, very well marshaled AND A MEATBALL ROLL FOR LUNCH! Best included grub at an Airsoft site ever. There were times I did in fact just run around with a pistol. For no other reason than I wanted to (long rifle was other option...) and I loved it. The new rig is great (arkus para style) and I didn't loose a mag for the 226, I did drop one right at the end of the day....new feed lips required. Over all a stunning day with the drive back being filled with nothing but smiles and a cheeky harvester for dinner. As we left my brother (who drove up from Portsmouth) was doing the maths on how early he would need to get up for the next trip up 🤣. Would 100% go again given half a chance.

  22. No worries, I did ramble a bit 😂 If memory serves the V2 has a metal outer barrel (unscrew the flash hider and pop off the front cap to check) as well as the NPAS (take both body pins out, slide the bolt assembly out and look down the nozzle). I bought mine in 2019 at the British Shooting Show, so I’d be very surprised if a new one from a retailer was a V1 Edit: I’ve just had a look at the description on the link you gave. I don’t know what they’re talking about with the follower snapping the feed lips; I’ve let go of mine a couple of times and the worst that’s happened is that it pinged a BB out. Definitely don’t drop the mag’s though or the baseplate will fail and you’ll need to order a new plate, spring follower, spring, and BB follower. This is the voice of experience, but at least they’re cheap. You’ll need to import from Hong Kong (no bother MLE Mart carry them all and they arrive in about two weeks), but if you order a few you’ll be sorted. When I dropped my mag it dented the corner of the base of the mag but it’s still perfectly gas tight.

  24. I mentioned the VFC/Umarex version further up the thread, but mine’s been really good. I’ve got the Version 2 (like the AEG’s the version two ironed out the niggles from the first version. I use it with Ultrair, and I used it indoors in November and December where ambient temperatures were hovering around 0°C (and sometimes lower), and it worked absolutely perfectly in semi. The Black Site doesn’t allow auto, so no idea how that would have faired, but even sticking a semi burst down I had no issues. The version 2 has an NPAS so it can be tuned for the conditions which is a bonus. The mags have been gas tight for the last couple of years since I got them, and I don’t really do anything over and above the norm to maintain them. They’re not cheap though, and because it’s 1:1 you have to make sure you’re buying pouches for real steel rather than Marui if you go kydex. The mags are super easy to load from the bottom rather than through the feed lips, and although they say they’re 40 rounds you’ll get about 44 in there without any issues. The only part that has broken was the stock lock catch which is a known failure point due to being cheap pot metal. A steel replacement part is about £15 and took all of 10mins to change. The bolt release and safety are held on with the worlds smallest grub screws, to definitely locktite them. It’s a faff to take apart for barrel/hop changes, but to be fair for CQB/FIBUA it’s perfect as stock so I won’t change either. I bought the rubber butt pad because the standard one is cheap plastic. That was about £10. I’d happily recommend it to anyone based on my experience.

  26. I'd say "God damn California", but I'm convinced that She already has. Can't buy a toy silencer on eBay UK, but you can walk into a shop in California, steal $950 worth of them, and walk out with no consequences.

  28. Pretty standard, I ordered, got a few updates and then some weeks later the item was delivered. I wouldn't recommend ordering from any Asia based retailer if you: A) "Need" the item within three weeks. B) Are going to freak-out if it takes six weeks and then you get a notice to pay customs/handling.

  30. Pleasure, glad to help. My AUG is cut down to the gas block (I have various screw-on barrel extensions) and I can confirm the "ears" of the faux gas regulator interfere with the X3300W suppressor. I got a Guarder 1" extension (I'm one of those imbeciles that has to have steel everything) and that solved the problem immediately.

  32. Another chilly, but dry day means it was a good day for me today. M700 is still shooting really, really nicely and I got a LOT of people as it was a pretty target rich environment with 90 players on site. First two games were brilliant, with me finding a few new angles to exploit with the sniper rifle, but by the end of the 2nd game I could see people getting frustrated. What this translated to was a snowball on both teams of absolutely laughable hit taking up to and after lunch. There was one guy who I kept picking off in the 2nd game, but after lunch I was watching my .48s bounce off him and he just ignored them, even after recoiling from the hit after I sent one into his cheek. Took cover behind the tree again and then started spraying around the corner. When you have days with hit taking like that, you've got to laugh it off; letting it get to you just ruins your day, so I don't let it get to me and just laugh at the ridiculousness of it. Also spent a little time setting up my SR-25, but while it was 1.17J with the hop off, when I applied enough to properly hop .32s the power was down to 0.63J (though it was floating the BBs out to a 50m target without issue), so I'll be sticking a bigger spring in it to get the power up to where it should be. Thankfully it's a quick change spring, so it's pretty easy to tweak. However, I wasn't feeling the mp7 today. It's an AEP, so it works in all weathers, but I just prefer pistols (including the NBB mk23) or GBB SMGs. I can't explain it, I just prefer pistols and they're a bit more manoeuvrable. That said, I didn't need to use the mp7 in game once today. Nobody got within my MED as when they pushed up I elected to bug out instead of staying and fighting. Falling back to another position and hitting them again is far more useful than staying in position and letting them swarm all over you, but it definitely takes it out of you. Just glad my fitness routine is paying off now as I'm able to play a bit more mobile (which is usually for falling back because if I'm advancing it's usually a slow crawl instead). Very much enjoying the m700 though. Definitely my favourite gun at the moment because it's silent, it feels like a real rifle as opposed to my VSR which definitely feels like a toy gun, and I can run it at either 2.3J or 1.1J and it works well at both powers (obviously with some hop adjustment). Roll on next game day, though what I'm really looking forward to is the first Vietnam game at Eversley in April!!!

    What have you made?

working on a TM MK46 recoil in need of some love. Knocked up a 5.56 link retainer for the magazine to keep the rounds attached to the mag (and cheaper than the £66 fake bullet set from TM). The recoil part that shakes the rounds had been damaged so I designed and printed a new one and one of the bipod feet was missing (let's not talk about TM's decision to use a magic pin system to hold the foot on instead of welding it). I've got a replacement bipod on the way so the foot design and print was just for fun and it does work.
