I've left a question, asking for expiry dates on the tanks since there is no clear image or information in the advert itself. We request the jury hold judgement on this until such time has passed that seller may have reasonably expected to have answered the question. However, the prosecution would like to draw attention to the price. £80 for 2 tanks, which can be assumed to mean £40 per tank. BZTactical have tanks of the same capacity, in stock, for £39.95. The prosecution submits that this pricing for this item is sufficiently high to meet the high bar for "Mack's airsoft dreamers of the week thread" charge. The prosecution rests its case and awaits the public jury's verdict.

Nope, think what the motor is doing. Its pulling back a piston against a spring until it releases at a certain point. If it does it quickly or slowly doesn't matter much as it will release at the same point so the BB will be pushed with the same amount of air. The only thing that will change is the time to next shot as the system cycles faster with more juice. The 7.2v NiMh may struggle to actually pull the piston back against the spring so much more likely to get a locked gearbox where its partially pulled back but doesn't have enough juice to finish the cycle. Major pain... Li-Po's have more current so even though its 7.4v it still has more power. Think of it like a garden hose. The voltage is the diameter of the pipe and the current is the water pressure.

Voltage determines how fast your motor wants to spin. The current that your battery can supply limits how fast it can spin. It's a bit peculiar that batteries don't quote an amperage, and you have to work it out from capacity x C rating. Either way, I reckon that current is where 7.4V lithiums shine over 7.2-8.4V nimh.

Reporting back, and thankfully the firehawk has come back to life! So bottom line is that the trigger contacts were 1) a little grubby and needed a clean and 2) the actually positioning of the trigger contacts was a bit off so contact was not being made consistantly. Thankfully, managed to get everything back together again and she is shooting great - so far! Game day on Sunday so will take this a long to see how it gets on. Thanks for the help all!

Your mah give you capacity/longevity, but the volts give you the oomph. I use 7.4v lipo's that i got for my drone with 2700mah. One lasts a full day with just about 50% used up. This is measured by the charger as it charges and discharges (for storage) and knowing this helps keep track of battery health. Also worth ditching mini tamiya connectors as well. I also bought some 1300mah lipo's that should fit in my stick extension if it ever becomes stocked anywhere in the civilised world. I ran with one to tty it out and it got me about two thirds of a game day. Annoyingly the 2700mah doesn't fit so i havr it strapped to the underside of the stock. Looks a bit cyberpunk LOL Lipo give you more consistent voltage through the discharge, and a much higher power density. At the expense of volatility. NIMH being old chemistry, are much safer, and can be left fully charged for ages. Lipo's need to be stored at a specific voltage if not being used for more than a few days. Hence the need for a decent charger.

I did try message some of admin team to try clarify the requirements as I couldn’t find any outline of requirements but ironically I don’t think it’s allowed message to be sent! Few more days and I should be good to go

those contacts look pretty damn clean, although the build up that counts is between them (ie not visible in the shot). also worth checking that the contacts are actually touching properly when the trolley is forwards, could be they've been bent wider by whoever previously gave them a scraping and now they ain't touching.

you mean the metallic portion? could just be the plating has worn off. what you're looking for is black carbon/sooty buildup, or damage to the contacts, usually it's one of the outer contacts that goes (depending which is wired to +ve/-ve) a gentle rubbing with a fine sandpaper will clean off any residue.

wonder if there's something in the hop/nozzle/barrel window that's scratching the ammo. other option is maybe it's a bad batch of ammo, with excessive dust. whilst the tighter bore stuff is more sensitive to needing cleaned more regularly it's not that sensitive and one of those zci's should be able to handle a day's worth of pewing (~2k rounds) before really having issues.

Did you check the residue in more detail? Too much oil/grease from somewhere getting into the hop?

I had one from his first run of them as I knew Mike ‘back in the day’ he was a really nice guy , was a loose bunch of us who used to meet up every now and again at places like the ‘Mall’ or UCAP tunnels and just have a bloody good day S’ofting . Happy days .

When the AAP-01 first came out, though the price/performance was really good. I really couldn't get behind the aesthetics.. So when the CTM ruger kit came out. I had to get it. I think the only thing I will change in the future is the trigger and the bolt.. But for now I'm pretty chuffed with how it looks!

They're both in the wrong in terms of gameplay but yeah, that's video evidence of felony assault (seeing as it's US based). Usually mosfet selection of 7.4V is the best choice. In semi-automatic mode it can meet the demand. 11.1V will bring high ROF in full automatic mode, but will bring higher current shock to the mos tube. Most of the damage to the mosfet is that the mos tube is burnt and difficult to repair. As for the microswitches/optics. . . There are pros and cons to each switch. Novices are advised to choose a micro switch, which is easy to install and maintain, and the cost is relatively low.

25 years ago I had a front tooth shattered, since then I've been through implants, serial infections causing incredible pain, two sets of dentures and probably thousands of pounds worth of dental work. It's something I'm conscious of nearly every day. I don't want it to be my BB that puts someone else through that, any more than I want one of my BBs popping someone's eyeball. My lower face pro is probably the most comfortable part of my rig and if anyone is on the fence about face pro or thinks it's unnecessary, I'd urge you to reconsider. There's nothing at all macho or manly about not being able to chew food properly for the rest of your life.
