I agree, and was actually being a bit disingenuous with the ratings. Her natural shots are quite prettyish-girl-next-door. The more stripper-slap she puts on, the less appealing I find her. I can't fathom why women do that, or are paid for doing it. Anyway, I'm sure she'll be devastated to discover that I'm out of her league. She's just going to have to cope though.4 points

My take is while the conflict is raging 24/7 all over our screens it’s simply bad taste to wear Russian kit at the moment . I’ve got a fair bit of it my self but I’m just not going to wear it for the foreseeable future for this reason , I’m not going to burn it or say “I’m NEVER wearing it again in solidarity with the Ukraine !” or any of that kind of fake supportive bullshit , I’m just putting it away and when it all settles down again I’ll reassess how I feel and if I’m happy to wear it again ? I will . If anyone does carry on wearing it now I’m not going have a go at them(just don’t wear Russian military patches that would be a step too far) but equally I won’t deny they will go down in my estimation as morally I think it’s wrong but everyone has a different personal standard of what’s right or wrong so say’la’vie .4 points

Sorry but I'm going to have to pull you up on that, as a parent of a kid with ASD and having quite a few personality traits of someone on the autistic spectrum. Not every person with ASD will shit themselves and have a meltdown from pyros. What's more likely to cause problems are non hit takers or background noise (eg players talking or a generator running) during a safety briefing due to not being able to filter out background noise.4 points -

A governing body that makes life simpler is what is needed IMHO. As someone partially deaf, an acknowledgement of invisible disabilities is needed too. A mumbled safety brief etc on a windy day, with people chatting, ambient traffic noise etc, is just a panto for me. I have seen autistic players turn up unacknowledged too. They WILL freak out at close grenades. The rest of us need to be told that we need to guide them gently to a quiet spot to calm down. It only takes a few moments, both to do and explain. Sites respond to these kind of concerns pretty well when they are raised, but not everyone is assertive/has confidence to speak up.4 points -

As I posted in the Russian kit thread, imo posing for clearly fake photos and pretending to be fighting for likes on social media while your country is being invaded is a shitty thing to do3 points -
As has been pointed out, Airsoft ranges & accuracy is not comparative to real steel, so x3 should be more than ample, but maybe consider a fixed single unit as opposed to the red dot/magnifier combo, if your after accuracy then the single fixed unit will hold its zero much better than a unit that's continually moved up & down, plus if your planning on exploiting the max power in a dmr setup, also consider that most sites operate a med (minimum engagement distance), that would likely make your red dot ineffective.3 points

Well in the context of a game where people are pretending to kill each other with “realistic” looking weapons…. I’m not sure bad taste about what you wear to do that is anything other that namby pamby nonsense.2 points -

Yeah if airsoft forums have taught me anything over the years it's that LiPos are ticking time bombs of mass destruction and we all need to get back to nice, safe NiMh. Can a ukara license fit through an m-lock slot if you fold it enough? We'll never know.2 points

Since im on a bit of a mag making spree here is another. 42rd aug mag for my hbar (wip) two mags epoxied together with steel reenforcement. Needs some cleaning up and finishing but it feeds. New pin at the top as the top internal chunk is now separate from the bottom. It is a high cap as I intend to use this as an lmg. Might make midcap ones down the road.2 points -

Just another thot. The next picture is of her all geared up next to some KTM enduros, which I assume is all she did. Dressed up, got pictured, got paid, went home. I don't find "Go and risk your life doing what I'm just LARPing" particularly admirable.2 points -
I generally run my adjustable scope at its claimed minimum of 3x when it's on my DMR. At airsoft ranges, with airsoft accuracy, it's all that I need.2 points

Took a 60rd scorpion midcap and cut it down to look like a 10rd one so i can properly holster it. Cut and glued the internals back together and it holds 20bbs and feeds flawlessly.2 points -

I'm more than happy with my Aim-O 3x flip to side Eotech G33 clone, and like others have said more magnification than this is a bit pointless when if we're being truly honest our DMR's are "accurate" to 60 meters or so at best 😉1 point

Up to a point, and most of us play pretend soldiers to leave real life behind for a bit. Ideally we'd bring nothing to the site except BBs and a magical belief about the accuracy of our toys. However, that's not always possible for all people at all times, i.e. if you have family in an active war zone. I have no idea if that applies to anyone at my local sites, but I wouldn't particularly want to find out by making a point of saying "Offence is taken, not given".1 point -
what zoom magnifier should i use?
TheFull9 reacted to Stratton Oakmont for a topic
Higher magnification just shows how un-laserlike ( nice made up word) your pew is. Best to just use a red dot and sustain the generally accepted in airsoft illusion that your rif has 80 m of perfect straight line trajectory and people are all cheeeeettaaaahs who don’t call hits.1 point -

Yes, I think it would also help staff giving the briefing too. I've seen it happen quite a few times where a staff member has been giving the briefing and has forgotten something, only to be reminded by someone else or covered it when asked by a player1 point -
what zoom magnifier should i use?
Tactical Pith Helmet reacted to Steveocee for a topic
Depends is the answer. Some sites near me have normal battle rifle - full auto limit at 350 (0.2 obvs) and DMR at 400, at which point I'd say red dot is fine but then the more spread out sites tend to have the DMR limits at 420 or 450 where I feel disadvantaged with a red dot (hence investing in a short dot with adjustable 1-6). Even with my BASR I never tend to go past 5 times so yeah, maybe a 3 times magnifier or just grab an adjustable and have a single unit?1 point -
I hear a badly charged LiPo can cause more damage than an RPG.1 point

To be honest it’s more what can I do to assist them. As I’m sure you’ve seen from another thread, there will shortly be a statement of intent with regard to the formation of a national governing body, which will hopefully cause a lot of conversation. I want players views, what concerns them and what they want!1 point -

Or stood in the shed sorting through old pyro separating the good from the battered, damaged strikers etc before taking them off for a ‘safe’ bang (the ones that have suffered from battering, or failed but not left in a field to be picked up by kids) One of which having previously been an old school paper mache style BB grenade but only had the strip of striker tip, fuse & bang remaining Straight to the ‘dispose’ pile But touching along the workbench as passing it over…… and Hiss…… Followed by prompt dropping Followed by looking at the stack of pyro besides a hissing fuse Pick up the hissing fuse Turn around to throw out the door behind Glance at the open kitchen door behind the shed Drop fuse Stand on fuse Feel thud Be thankful for not stepping out in bare feet1 point -

Well. First new kit brought in well over 7/8 years. Set myself up with what I’m going to try to narrow down to be a mid war marine impression. Long way removed from my usual Russian kits but fancied a change and something I’d not done before. Everything is repro for the time being and chances are I’ll just swap a pouch a month or there abouts until at least the webbing is original. Just need to get it dirty & add my own flair to it now1 point

It was a standard walk on day. Most sites have a rule saying you cant shoot through something smaller then an A4 sheet of paper. Also many sites don't allow people to shoot with guns over their head. The thing is you're bringing up points that really have no bearing on this specific situation and only replying with a bit of "Whataboutery?". Some people say Airsoft is either supposed to be playing it as it's own sport and not following any traditional ideas of how a rifle would be used in real life, OR going full milsim and only playing with low caps. The right thing for me is somewhere around the middle, making play immersive but fun for the majority at the same time. I would hazard a guess that what the guy was doing in my scenario may not be against the rules of some sites, but is not the norm and is certainly going against the spirit of the game. I would like to think most people would agree with me. But I couldn't speak for them.1 point
