  1. Seconded, no problem at all. I'd stress the "responsibly" part, you don't want anyone seeing it until you're in the safe zone. The actual consideration isn't use at the site, it's transporting it there, since public possession of an imitation firearm (realistic or otherwise) is an offence under Firearms Act 1968 Section 19. We all need a "reasonable excuse (the proof whereof lies on [us])", i.e. booking details or at least the site info when you're on your way to or from the site with it. Don't be tempted to take it out and show off for your mates, it's just not worth the risk of getting a real one pointed at you by an irate firearms unit copper.

  2. Simple answer is yes, now get out & play (responsibly 😜)

The site my nephew goes to and consequently where my 11 year old goes has a "young guns" day every month. Not sure of the criteria as it's not exclusively minors, but it's mainly minors and those are the only days my son goes. That said, I spoke to one of the few adults there one day and he said he had been terrorised and traumatised by hoardes of fearless kids running riot!

I agree, but one thing we did to prepare the boys was a bit of back garden play, in order that they knew what to expect when hit, once you get that out of the way it's just about drumming in the importance of eyepro & fair play.

Yes did build up a SD6. Finished it last night came out lovely. Wasn't too hard to build if you can get original ICS parts and have access to a lathe to build an adapter. Longer barrel and new spring bumped my FPS up too 340 so looking forward to using it tomorrow for its first outing. Also fitted my magpul guard and gemtech QD suppressor from my other ngrs mp5 I built myself to see what fitted and they went straight on. I have a real steel sliding stock that I wanna try out but I think only the rails of the stock will fit with some milling so I might stick with the original as it's way more solid than any sliding stock on Rif.

  6. Best bet is to load the Python module on the Arduino as it is much easier to learn than C. Then get yourself the “Automate the boring stuff with Python” book and online course. I have developed a basic airsoft target game with a mini Arduino runninf C (with help from a friend who is a software dev) - those are two weeks of my life I am never getting back!

  7. So a very knowledgeable forum member starts a thread questioning whether an eBay seller is selling possible fakes (bearing in mind that eBay is a notorious outlet for fake or stolen "stuff"), or at the very least, genuine but moody factory qc rejects, three days later BIGShow becomes a member on here, posts nothing for over a month, but when he eventually does make a post, it's to jump to the defence of the moody eBay seller. No, definitely nothing suspicious going on here😏
    2 points
  8. An extremely convincing argument, a heavy defence of the seller that isnt remotely suspicious even with the lack of evidence beyond "looks legit to me bruv" and loyal devotion to spreading the word. On the other hand we have the guy who has a long history on this board of buying both legit real optics and chinese clones, but that doesnt mean anything.....

Yes, sorry! But you were super helpful even with vague detail! I’m looking to stick with the current outer, and won’t change the inner. The 9.3 is out of stock in black, so I guess I’ll have to demonstrate patience!!

  13. Mate I'm sorry but as others have said you joined the forum and not a squeak from you , and then when you do finally post up your first post is attacking a VERY well respected forum members allegations(with corroborating evidence) against a fleabay/online retailer that most on hear have never heard off and your lauding them up to the max , and you wonder why bullshitery is being called on your impartiality ? Come off it your not that naive are you ?

It could be exemplary play, or it could be screaming "I did so hit you, you're deaaaaad!" all day long, I'd reckon about 50/50 chance of either.

  15. Hi All, It is a risky and very long shot, but why not. 2 years ago I've made a box with multiple game modes, sold couple of them. I've came up with the whole design and functionality and very smart 15y/o boy programmed it for me. Tried to learn programming myself and I know it is not difficult, but it is just not for me... I was paying for programming and ended up dropping everything... 2 years after I've decided to carry on with my dream and ideas So looking for someone in UK who would want to be a programmer/designer/partner in creating Airsoft/Paintball props We both would buy all parts separate and test them together Can't promisse any money at start, but we would share agreed percentage on the finished products Project examples: Bomb with remote controls for diffusing / detonating Balance box transportation Wireless automatization using Baofeng radios Death zone automated player register / timer And so on...

    THE TM MWS thread

I’ve been testing the G&P 46rd PMAGs for a few days now and thought I’d give a quick write up on here. I got a chance to use them all day in CQB so I feel confident in their capabilities in the short term. First impression: “boy this thing sure is long”. The magazine locks positively into the MTR16 lower, however it does not fall freely every time and likely needs wearing in. I’m able to load 46 rounds consistently using an Odin and the Airsoft Tailoring MWS adapter, however it is a little more finicky than the stanags and does not load as easily. I’ll need to pre-emptively pick up a rebuild kit for my Odin just in case… I loaded them up with a 12-15 second fill of Ultrair green gas but didn’t bother weighing them since I don’t carry a scale around with me. I was easily able to rattle off the full 46 rounds at 20°C ambient temps in semi only, which is no huge feat but is a minimum requirement for me since I primarily play semi-only CQB. My CQB games tend to be fairly short form, lasting roughly 15-30 minutes, and I honestly found myself struggling to get through even two of these 46rd mags in one game. The main question people ask seems to be if having a long ass magazine causes any issues in game, and I can say that for my use case, which is really tight CQB with obstacles everywhere, it did not feel any different to the stanags. The only time I noticed the extra length was when putting them into my dump pouch as they would nearly protrude from the top. As far as I am concerned, I am more than happy to accept this in return for a 30% increase in round capacity. So for now, I can recommend these if you can get over the look. Once I’ve had more time with them, I’ll be able to vouch for their longevity too I’m sure.

  17. It's an honest, realistic ask, better than a lot of the fantasy stuff we see floated around. I think anyone getting involved would be aware of the limited market, that they'll mostly be covering the parts cost, and the labour would be done for love. Sadly I'm rammed with personal projects, but the actual programming for any of those proposed applications would be fairly straightforward, so I'd be hopeful that someone will jump in - you just need to find them.

  18. There’s not much money in programmable props. Some get put up for sale, but they are unlikely to make the money in relation to the work. Any site or organiser will either do it themselves or bung some cash/free games at a teenage geek marshal / player. There is a member on here who has been selling off the code for some arduino props He gives you the design, you build it and he sells you the encoded code - in hex so that you don’t reverse engineer it, and you have to keep getting new code for new designs https://airsoft-forums.uk/profile/23791-martinius96/ Was the existing code you bought encoded and owned by the author or do you have the source code? If so then I’d recommend using that as your bare bones If not then I’d recommend looking around for some similar open source designs, having a test run and then tweaking it to your needs. Don’t get bogged down worrying about the programming language itself. Design & document 3 things: The game modes - and their rules The props buttons and gadgets - and how they function in the modes The flow of how these run ….. that flow then documents the decision points that the software needs to do Then using a piece of source code tweak it for the buttons & electronics you’re using & and the actions/modes you want Otherwise you’re going to have to find the unicorn who wants to share with you or pay someone such as Martinius to write for your design @@@@@@@@@@@ We have a series of functioning props built and programmed by our electronics guy. Shortly before lockdown I bought an old commercial prop box in auction and fixed some of its issues. Then without a manual by pressing every possible button combination I worked out its mode programming. To follow that as a lockdown project I designed a series of props and game modes, took some online sample code and step by step customised to my components, sensors and modes The ‘right’ way to program is to be efficient and if selling code/props then you want each to have enough functions to be interesting but not too many to give it all in one. My way is for experimentation and to have a big all encompassing master prop that does everything and can be upgraded along the way, accompanied by a series of baby props with specific physical functions and as close as possible to the master code. That’s inefficient in programming terms, but I can update the software across the range

I'll be honest it wasn't execution style lol, I've got a large & pretty well shielded garden so wasn't too worried about a 5 minute game , & told my lad he could have a rifle & full mag (lo-cap lol 😜) & I'll just have a little pistol, needless to say his big gun & my wee pistol filled him with uncontrollable bravado😏 & I took cover behind the conifers at the end while he cockily charged down the garden blasting at me & hitting the trunks, then when I heard him dry fire I jumped out & chased him back up the garden, shot him a couple of times in the butt as he ran, I (& the wife) was pmsl 🤣, thankfully playing meant he was suitably adrenalised so he barely felt it & wasn't concerned for when it happened at the proper skirmish.

My son was 10, & a teammates son was 8, played their first game on the same day with permission of the site owners, the only condition was the kids had to stick with either dad at all times, which they did & to be fair the pair of them were legends that day, played well & fair, no tantrums or issues (unlike some twice their age😏) & are still both playing approximately 14 years on 😁

    How bright is too bright?

Night Evolution weapon light is my toy for night games and bunker games. It has a great throw, good spread but still a coherent beam with a very bright centre. Activated by pressure pads or can be on solid and has two small nav lights activated by small thumb push. Not sure of lumens but is very bright.

  29. I meant more like a hobby thing, I'm not opening business, I just looking for someone who is interested in making things, and I am risking giving all my designs and ideas to that person, they will have a code. I only can copy it and tweak a bit, but I would not be able to fix it or change it. Once again this is not a business, there are no timelines and benefits I don't own anything or have anything to do with sites or rentals, I just want to "MAKE AIRSOFT GREAT AGAIN" And if we would make something that would be a bonus for selling it, thats all Or I can just go on FIVERR

  34. One thing, this will probably help you a bit more. There are some very clever people on here, who know their computer technical stuff. But, there is a forum called "tomshardware" this is a very popular forum. With many active users, if you want some help, go there, it's a big forum, and you'll get some very good results there. You'll still get good answers here, just, you'll get some good answers there too! Good luck.
