  1. Welcome to the forums. Just had a look at the site, the only things that concern me are: Lack of physical address (usually means being done out of a bedroom/shed), Lack of registered company number. Lack of terms & conditions, especially around data and privacy. This phrase "You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly." Items are standard items that most retailers stock. That being said, always happy to use new retailers Most of my spend is now with 1 or 2 new retailers. As you've only just started I can imagine it will take a while for the ball to get rolling, but best of luck.

  2. i think a sticky, if not already, topic for goggles would be good with a few comments, i for one am looking at swapping mesh for goggles/glasses but not 100% sure what as want to keep my teeth but also protect my face... maybe a topc with make of eye pro, good and bad, recommended anti fogging device (spray, wipe etc) ok may not be ideal for all but will help us out eventually, even if the topic creator can update the first post each time?....cutting out OT stuff! any, like the look of the glasses that wrap around a bit more

  5. Or you could just buy some batteries, then discard your current stock and ask Mr Duck what stock to get to fit the batteries and your gun And wait for a response [i call that a Duck bomb ]

  7. As the title says, I am tempted to get some lipo batteries for my new VFC XCR, as I need to get batteries for it anyway. It has a standard crane stock. What do y'all recommend, or should I just stick to 9.6v nunchuck NimHs. And what do I need to know about lipos

    HPA setup questions

Haha yeah no worries, because of my need I went mental on he tank size just so I never have a issue. I also encountered the cool down and staggering fps fluctuations the weekend using my 416 the first and most likely only time before its gutted. Good luck dude !

    HPA setup questions

Thankfully the Vector is easy, and it's the same answer: CQB Russian valves (the KWA ones). Buy one for each mag, add a small amount of PTFE tape or pneumatic sealant, screw in (only give an extra quarter turn when it feels like it's getting harder to screw in or you'll damage the threads) and you're done. The rig is the issue though. You'll need a tank, regulator and line. A smallish 3500 psi tank would be fine (maybe around 50cl) as you don't have many shots in each magazine. You're looking at maybe in the region of £200 when all said and done, with the regulator being the most expensive thing (even the Ninja LPR is £105). You may need to consider a Scuba tank if you're not close to a paintball or dive shop, or don't have a compressor on the site you attend. The only real obvious downside to an HPA tapped magazine on a GBBR like that is that you do need to swap the QD every time you reload. It maybe adds a few seconds and you can get quite quick at it. A small price for consistent shots and cheap refills I think. I can grab you some links if you like.

  12. Thats milsim lite. Okto and sometimes Gunman do more full on milsim where there are no two tone weapons, only mid/or low caps (no bb rattling) and different teams have different loadouts. Once you are in the battlezone, there are no breaks for 8 hours and you live in the battle, cooking, resting etc for that 8 hours. Its great fun, we have a regular following and players join in without being anal or elitist. Its 100% boyhood escapism. Have a look at our Facebook page if you want to know more.

  14. If you really want to change the FPS, buy a gun with a quick change spring system. But personally, I think you're overcomplicating it. Don't dive straight into the deep end and buy a relatively simple and easy to use gun (check out Ian Gere's beginner guide). All FPS really does is change the time it takes to hit the target. Accuracy and range is more affected by the barrel size and the hop-up. 300 FPS is a good start, you don't really need any more as the benefits will be negligible and will allow to shoot people without hurting them as much
    1 point
  15. Doesn't really matter. FPS is not the main factor if you can shoot people or not. In fact, it contributes far less than you think.

  17. Simple. Stop sweating. While operator ninja gear looks cool, you will start sweating the minute you start the game. Remove layers of clothes. Remove scarfs, remove headgear that doesn't allow sweat to evaporate. Dress so that you are a bit cold on the briefing, that way you will be just perfect while playing and fog much less. Also don't use mouth protection that directs your breath up to the goggles. Use anti-fog things as people mentioned above. Still fogging? Try shooting glasses instead of goggles. Not for heavy CQB though. Oh, and one more mean thing. Start running 1-2 times a week if you don't already so a simple game doesn't make you sweat that much.

haha. I was in the same boat, I've got an old X3200 clone in fact that has done me proud for 3 years now. As soon as the X3500 came out I knew I had to have one :-) The larger firing tube is worth it alone for all those people out there who can't shoot straight haha.

  19. I'm using kit made by Condor (available from Military1st) and it has tonnes of room and adaptability. Quality is pretty good as is the price. I was bigger (18 and a half stone) when I started and since losing two stone in weight I've not had to change my chest rig/hydration pack combo. I'd happily recommend Condor as an alternative to Warrior, although I know how good the Warrior kit is.

I went out to get the WE G17, but he also brought the 5-7, and I loved it, couldn't resist getting it, it feels right without going over the top, and it also fits into my WAS universal with only a bit of padding, only complaint is the bloody stripping mechanism is chipping my thumb nail. also just paid for a Xcortech 3500 to finally know how hot my guns are without having to do onsite modifications.

  37. Well, fortunately for you (to save you from your instinct for a bargain which jbbg prey upon), Trisnpod, those Mossbergs are out of stock {OOS for future reference {FFR}} @jbbg. Trust us. We are not running a vendetta against jbbg for some imagined or real slight in the past, we are not running a vendetta at all, but warning you/anyone reading this because there are countless threads on here started by noobs who have all 1) heard about airsoft 2) googled it 3) found jbbg 4) bought a piece of shit {POS FFR} 5) tried to get a refund/replacement/repair 6) been simply ignored or lied to and finally 7) found us... 7a) we very often end up having to advise youngsters that whilst all airsoft guns are BB guns, not all BB guns are airsoft guns, regardless of what colour they are, or what FPS &/or range sites like jbbg quote. In this case there are some cheaper springer shotguns, both single and triple shot, which are skirmishable (in woodland most, but not all by any means, of them make for a challenging primary weapon and are thus often carried in over-the-shoulder holsters as secondaries, but they are fine for use @CQB sites {Close Quarter Battle = usually Urban}; indeed some people like to use a POS as a challenging primary @CQB to inflict more humiliation on their targets, but better learn some gun/tac skillz before you try that or you'll just get pwned all day long without even a hope of getting your own back), however AFAIK those 2 you picked out are not suitable beginners' primary weapons... 350/55FPS my arse - a cheap springer with a barrel that short will be lucky to produce over 300FPS if it is expected to work for more than about 5 shots, because the guts of them are made from plastic and zinc alloy {AKA pot metal/monkey metal/cheese}. Note that it says "JBBG TESTED" - well, we don't know for sure that they do not have a special high reading chronograph which they keep specifically for these tests, but what we do know is that if you fired one of our primary weapons which we know, from experience chronoing at various sites, shoots at, say, about 345FPS, those shotties would measure @least 45 less. BTW Crosman mainly make air pistols, which are a whole different kettle of fish to airsoft guns, and their POS BB guns are just a way of cashing in off people who don't know any better; Cybergun on the other hand don't make anything, they just put their label on other manufacturers' products to market them in countries where the original manufacturer has no distribution - i'm not 100% certain but i think that plastic Mossberg 500 design is made by Palco, who make a whole range of P'sOS all of which should be avoided apart from their CO2 powered pistols which, although very cheap, are surprisingly good. As I said above, if you go for a cheap shottie, get either one of the Double Eagle M56 range (which fire 3 BB's per shot & are clones of a very successful Tokyo Marui design), or one of their M58 range which fire 1 BB per shot (I can't personally vouch for their M47 range, but others on here may be able to); or an ASG Franchi SAS which also come in either 3 or 1 BB/shot versions. Is cash a major issue for you? If so, how much is your budget?

    Shotgun Loadout/Kit

Or just buy a shotgun belt for around £10-£15. I run one for my shotgun (both CQB and woodland). Since it holds 24 shells I'm never out of the fight and rarely have to go back to the respawn to bomb up - even between games. As the loadout is very lightweight I retain my mobility and can sprint around the site to get the drop on the other team. A lot of fun to play. For a real challenge ditch the sidearm and run purely the trishot. Your arms will hate you for it but it forces you to count shots and judge when to reload tactically more than you would with any other weapon. I've done this a few times and really enjoyed it.
    1 point
  41. Ive always used shotguns in airsoft for both CQB and woodland games - both single shot versions and trishot models. I currently run an ASG trishot shotgun as one of my main primary weapons for CQB. It's spring powered so I don't have to worry about it running out of power in game like a gas one and the shells are very cheap. The only issue most people have, like Esoterick said, is the pump. It's quite stiff so not ideal for younger players but after a while it becomes a lot easier as either the spring wears in or your body gets used to it. Loadouts wise I run this shotgun with a twenty four shell shotgun belt, a dump pouch, rubber knife, a drop leg pistol holster and a six shell arm mounted shell holder. This gives me thirty shells which is three hundred trishot bursts - more than enough to last even the longest CQB game. Mounted to the front of the shotgun I either have a flashlight or a laser - the flashlight for darker sites like The Gaol and the laser for lighter ones like The Towers. Ammo wise I use .25 gram BBs as it keeps the spread tighter than .2 gram ones do. Not much of a difference in CQB but it makes longer range gun fights a lot more favourable - especially in woodland sites. Often I ditch the pistol and just run the shotgun as a very light and mobile loadout - reloads are never a problem as I have so many shells all over the place. I did at one point try a shotgun scabbard to use it as a secondary, but it was a nightmare to draw in a firefight. Now I just have a cheap carbiner clip on my belt that I attach to the sling point of the weapon - just as secure and a lot easier to use.
    1 point
  42. I use a TM M870 breacher which is a gas trishot and isn't shell ejecting. Thing is for intents an purposes a sub £100 spring shotgun(ASG are normally the go to brand as far as I am aware) will do exactly the same job, it's just harder to cock. On the plus side a springer doesn't need gas charges so as long as it's cocked and you have BBs in the shell when you do it will fire. For CQB it's normally my main weapon and I either just hold it one handed or put it down if I want to use my pistol, which is normally when I'm completely out of ammo or someone tries to rush me while I'm reloading. Personally I think if you play right a trishot is hard to beat as the spread compensates for when you aim slightly off target or when someone is running and you are trying to lead them. Regardless they are very fun weapons to use, especially if you have mates with you room clearing with their own shotguns. People also get spooked by them, i've seen a lot of people flinch before I fire or when i've fired but I was out of ammo. I wouldn't bother with a shell ejecting gun as I just don't see the point and i've tried putting my shotgun in the hydration pouch with it on my back but it was really hard to draw. I'd hazard a guess it's the reason you don't see many people with shotgun scabbards after the initial novelty of running a "holstered" shotgun wears off.
