    Price gouging ?

It’s a different business but hopefully will give some insight from a retailers perspective. I had someone posted that we had price-gouged him on a pair of tyres. Our sale price was the manufacturers recommended retail price, at which we made 25% profit margin. He purchased his tires as a walk-in customer at 7.30pm - we used to stay open until 9pm to accommodate bike riders working all day. In addition we fitted the tyres for him. Most shops close at 6pm. For us to stay open cost us £80 per hour. So staying open that night cost us £240. I checked the toll records and that night we made 2 sales - the tyres and one cup of coffee. Total sales of £82.50 from which we made a gross profit of £21.50. As a result we lost £218.50. In his negative Google review he suggested that we should have price matched an online discounter. Had we matched their price we would have made 50p from the tyres! And the online guys don’t offer to fit them for free, or give him the convenience of picking him up his tyres in time for him to ride to work the following morning. As you can imagine the words ‘price gouging’ is a very emotive one for me. So all I would say is don’t always jump to the conclusion that the retailer is always out to gouge you. There’s always the option of not buying from anyone you think is gouging. But sometimes perhaps they’re just trying to make enough to pay their bills and feed their kids.

  5. Couple of pics of my F2000 as I painted the suppressor to match the gun... and hopefully tomorrow will be it's full debut on the battlefield! It's already got some wear and tear on the paint just from carrying it slung over my shoulder and rubbing against the mags in my belt, tomorrow should see it get more battle-worn - which will be good

  6. What's that all about. I opened a tin of evaporated milk and it's all still there 🤔 And why aren't all butter croissants just a pile of butter 🤔 Confused 😕

  7. Another good one today at Worthing, but in a very unexpected way. Fairly uneventful morning with the VSR, sniping people from hidden positions is always fun. However, nothing to write home about like the past few skirmishes, it was a very normal BB conservative morning. However, I knew it was going to rain in the afternoon, so I packed my TM416D with no attachments as well as rain + scopes = blurry vision and I really didn't want to have to dismantle the VSR and mk23 to clean them since I just did a few days ago. It's been literally years since I played with a normal AEG rifle and... it was so much easier. Still some sneakiness, but mostly just lots of fast paced speedyboi gameplay. Considering it was only firing at 0.7J (stock TM NGRS gearbox) it was shooting much further than I thought it would. I lost count of how many people I hit out with it, but I was making a lot of plays. Didn't think I had it in me as I haven't used a normal rifle since late 2019, but was surprised at just how much work I could get done with the iron sights and a very lightweight chest rig with a few mags and an Odin speedloader in my pocket. The sniper fundamentals definitely helped, plus my old old knowledge of how to use cover and using shoulder transfers to peek unpredictably. I had to leave before the final game because I ran out of battery (I only brought one because I was only using it for the afternoon games. Didn't think I'd need the second!). I look forward to when I can get my hands on an MWS and some AK mags, because I'm still not the biggest fan of AEGs, but I've definitely opened my eyes to the prospect of not dressing up like a bush monster.

  9. @Rogerborg The value was over 300 euros, there was no tax applied by the retailer. Powair 6 do state that tax will be applied once it's imported into the UK so perhaps Border Force made a mistake, idk. I still haven't heard from them anyway.

  10. Which means absolutely nothing in airsoft. My backup-backup gun is a CYMA CM.516, the really cheap, nasty plastic one, which I've been fiddling with on and off from the moment that I bought a second RIF. I rarely have cause to revert to it, but when I do, wow, it outshoots anything else that I've got. ZCI hop and barrel, Big Dragon M140, bang on 1.13J with an M90 spring, feeds from any mag, and so much brrrrrrt. BBs really, truly, don't care about what's wrapped around the gearbox, hop unit and barrel.

Just seen your other thread and it's not a k. Railed foregrips are available for the full size MP5. These should fit https://www.google.com/search?q=airsoft+mp5+railed+handguard&oq=airsoft+mp5+railed&aqs=chrome.0.0i512j69i57j0i22i30.7424j0j4&client=ms-android-sonymobile&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8 One thing I found was that the railed foregrips also allowed a bigger battery to be fitted

    Two tones

Not really. Any report of a firearm has to be taken seriously until its proven to be a replica, imagine what could happen if a report of a gun wasn't treated seriously and it turned out to be a real one.

I've got the rail above on my kurtz and it makes changing the battery a right ball ache as you have to remove 7 screws to get the rail off. To get round this I've started using a PEQ box to hold the battery. The tabs on the top are for a sight rail like this https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/cyma-mp5-scope-mount-g3-c45-10166-p.asp Don't worry about the gnu being a two tone, 99% of airsofters won't care

  22. Polymer is just lighter. Same strength as pot metal, you trade a slightly more "realistic" feel for comfort, since you cut about 1kg off the overall weight

  23. I have seen someone use an S6 with the lenses replaced. Chap said that it was a proper tough job getting flat lenses in though. You could try a fan for airflow, but the PC fans are often are a touch weak even for goggles. You could try and replace the lenses and all the other orifices with mesh, e.g. base of the filter, any valves etc. As an alternative, you could learn to breath through your ears. I'm lost for suggestions after that.

    Price gouging ?

Totally agree with this point , I do try and buy from a core of online retailers that I’ve had good customer service from even if they are marginally more expensive than others . Take ‘Bullseye country sports’ for instance they drive me demented how much of their inventory is always ‘out of stock’ BUT I still go back to them as A; they have a very good turn around and B; the two occasions I’ve needed to contact them with an order problem they’ve gone above and beyond to sort it asap , and to be honest ultimately that’s all I want from a retailer .

    S6 gas mask airsoft safe

You can buy actual AIRSOFT safe lenses for them , but as big stew said I guarantee you’ll be sweating like a pig in a Mosque if you wear one to play Airsoft . 🥵

    S6 gas mask airsoft safe

you could replace the lenses with thick polycarbonate sheet. would require a bit of testing and you would never be sure you could trust them. Also trying to do any sort of activity in a gas mask gets deeply unpleasant quickly. Many have tried most have realised it was a bad idea.

Yup I really like magazines… TM based RPK plus age appropriate sidearm. The garnish is because I wore it with full Russian kit including Leshy. Players initially thought they were engaging a sniper… and then regretted trying to get closer. Happy days at Elite Worthing. Very fine AEG to use, maximum fun. Could put mesh over the lens of course. 😁

  38. Just got home from Skirmish Wycombe. I've been twice before, once good once a bit meh. Today was bloody brilliant. I went alone, but everyone was in good form and having a great laugh, lots of great teamwork and more importantly everyone was calling their hits. There were a few "he didn't call his hit", but we all know that sometimes people think they hit but didn't, or the target genuinely didn't feel it. Marshalls were good, weather was good, overall a bloody great day. My KWA TK45 performed beautifully, her first time on the field. I managed to lose my pistol mag, but a marshal found it, thankfully. It's only 10/15 minutes drive from my house, so I'll be going again. Hopefully that one not so good day I had there was an anomaly, though I know the site gets some iffy reviews.

  39. Last Sunday was somewhat interesting, 4 people in our club tested positive for the Kung Flu, and another two woke up with fever, so there were only 7 people on the field. Nonetheless we played and I had fun sneaking around plinking people in the ass with my pistols. Also took the T-11 with me but it didn't see much use apart from a couple of shots.

2 second google https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/ics-hi-capa-challenger-gbb-pistol-black unless you are wanting a second hand one? then you are in the wrong section there is a wanted section in the sales section of the forum. Also £215 they better be the best pistol on the market rather than the garbage ICSs other pistols general are.
